Shatteredrose opened her jaws in a huge yawn as she blinked away sleep. Strange dreams disturbed her, like they often did, full of threatening shadows and distant voices. She needed to get them out of her mind as fast as possible. First she stretched out, flexing her claws on the soft floor of the den, and then she gracefully pulled herself upright and padded out into the camp.
She still felt tired. Whatever these dreams were about, they always left her feeling as if she hadn't got a wink of sleep and had gone out patrolling all night. She yawned again, feeling a little self-conscious. She didn't want to get told off for being tired by someone like Burntash, who seemed to be constantly on her tail. Perhaps she would go hunting. It would take her mind off everything else. She wondered who would want to come hunting. Shatteredrose felt strange, although she couldn't explain why. In fact the atmosphere in camp seemed tense.
"Anyone want to come hunting?" Shatteredrose meowed to no-one in particular, hoping someone would reply.

and no where closer to my death
From her normally drafty fallen pine den, Lynxstar relished in the sunlight that peeked through the pockets and holes in the rotting evergreen. The day was promising, despite the looming prophecy, when it would be forfilled, she did not know. She wanted more, she wanted to know, personally. Wouldn't that be nice? StarClan? If you could come down and give me a snippet of info on the matter? Nowadays, even her thoughts would sound dry if spoken. Soon, once Aspenfrost or herself had gotten more hints, she would let her clan know of this looming fate. For now, she wanted no fear set in their hearts, not yet.

Don't talk to me.Lostdesire awoke from her rather restless sleep and sighed with depression. Another day. Lostdesire would rather, well, keep sleeping. She always had horrible, restless, nights and wasn't really surprised she was had another one. The she-cat remembered the day that Northwind talked to her, and they actually took a walk. Now Lostdesire wouldn't talk to anybody except him, not much of a change. It was a surprise she'd talk to anybody. She padded out of the den slowly and emerged into the normally-freezing VertigoClan camp. Lostdesire spotted Shatteredrose and Lynxstar. Lostdesire slunk over to a bush that she lay under, hoping nobody would talk to her or force her to be social.

Radianteclipse stirred in her nest, she had been restless the whole night, unable to sleep, she didn't know why but her eyes drooped a little, she needed something to keep her awake, she felt a warm body stir beside her and whipped her head up, it was Serenewinter. In a way she was jealous of the she-cat, always so clam and reserved, it was as if she never had anything on her mind, but behind her frosty blue eyes there must be something troubling her. She noticed Serenewinter's faint outline flinch at her sudden movement and instantly regretted it. "I'm sorry, I'm just a little bored." She meowed innocently, her spirit not crushed. The she-cat turned to look at her with the same reserved expression she she-cat always had, Raidanteclipse was determined to make her break out in a fit of laughter, or even get annoyed with someone, always so clam she was. "Don't worry about it, I will live, but you wont if you wake up Darkfog." Serenewinter meowed in that beautiful tone of hers. Radianteclipse flinched and looked at Darkfog's outline, she noticed Sernewinter shake her head, but she gave to response as to why. "Well then maybe we should go into the clearing, in case we wake him..or any cat up for that matter." She meowed in turn.
The two she-cat moved out of the warriors den together in step, Serenewinter's snow white pelt brushing against Radianteclipse's smoke grey one. Seeing Shatteredrose Serenewinter led Radianteclipse in her direction, the two of them stopped in front of the tabby she-cat. Radianteclipse opened her mouth to speak, but Serenewinter got there before her. "Good morning Shatteredrose, did I hear you mention something about a hunt? If so I would love to come, what about you?" She meowed and turned to Radiantesclipse. She made no attempt to speak and just nodded her head politely in reply. For some reason when Serenewinter asked her a question she felt as if she was put in a spotlight, as if the whole clan would judge her answer. However, she knew the snow white she-cat standing beside her would never do something to horrible, yet there seemed to be something strange about her.

Shatteredrose saw the two she-cats come out of the den, smoky grey and snowy white. She twitched one ear, following thier movements across the clearing. With a jolt of surprise, she realised they were coming towards her! Putting on an expression of slightly reserved friendliness, not completely fake as she didn't exactly hate the two she-cats, they seemed decent to her, she nodded to Serenewinter in response to her offer. "Sure. If you're ready, let's go," Shatteredrose meowed to them, her tone matching her expression, calm but not too cheerful. She could never be completely cheerful. With a flick of her tail she padded off towards the camp entrance. Maybe this would go well. Maybe it wouldn't. Shatteredrose wasn't an optimistic cat by nature, but something told her if she made these cats her allies, friends even, it would definitely be a good thing.

Radianteclipse nodded and bounded happily after Shatteredrose, a little bounce in her step. She was happy this morning, even though she hadn't slept, her eyes would probably start shutting about mid-day. She quickened her pace and soon padded past Shatteredrose. She quickly glanced over her shoulder to check where Serenewinter was. The white she-cat was following at the rear with a steady and quite reserved pad. She shrugged and turned back around. Her tongue swiped around her fangs as she began to make her pad more and more light footed. She crouched close to the ground now as she opened her senses. She couldn't even hear the two other she-cat anymore, mind you they were both very reserved and often quiet, especially when walking. Her thoughts were interrupted by the rustle of a bush and a young sparrow hopped out, contented with the snail it was carrying in its beak. Perfect, it was paying to attention to the world around it. Stalking closer and closer the bird still hadn't notice her. It turned and stared her right in the eye for a few seconds, but then turned back to the snail. Stupid little bird. By the time the bird realized that she was a threat it was too late for it, the bird way already being crushed by her paws.
"I wonder what had gotten into her this morning." Serenewinter meowed, gazing after the spot where the smokey pelt of Radianteclipse had vanished.

Shatteredrose shrugged. She hadn't really noticed anything, but then she didn't know Radianteclipse very well. In fact, she didn't know Serenewinter very well either. She figured this would be a good chance to get to know her Clanmates, but for some reason the tabby she-cat didn't feel like talking. That and there wasn't much to say. She glanced at the white she-cat. "I'm going to go over there, see what I can find," she told her, flicking her tail to the left. "We can meet back here after we've all caught something. See you later." Perhaps they could talk later. There was prey to be caught. Shatteredrose slunk off in the direction she had chosen, leaving her snowy Clanmate behind. She needed to be alone, just briefly, to focus on her hunt. Scenting the air, she began tracking a squirrel, eyes narrowed.

Serenewinter nodded after the she cat. "Good luck." She called in a charming whisper. Then after watching the cat disappear she turned and disappeared herself. Her paws led her further and further into the dimly lit forest. She began to pick up the scent of prey as she lurked deeper, it was hard to hide with snow white coat.
Radianteclipse caught the bird and buried it safely in a little hole she dug to hide it in while she hunted for more prey. The forest seemed to be alive with prey today. but every time she scented prey, it would be gone soon afterwards. She began to move faster on her paws as she moved farther away from camp. She had to quickly stop before she went over the border which she was near to crossing by now. Turning she say a grey squirrel ahead of her, both animals locked gazes. The chase was on. They looked curiously at each other for a few seconds, before she lunged forward to start the chase.

Needlerain opened one of his eyes, lazily glancing at whatever clanmates where still in the den. The dim light of the morning gave the den an usual sense of monotony. It was very tempting for him to just fall back asleep. But now that he was up, he might as well do something. With a big yawn, he walked out. Not to many cats where out, and if they where, they weren't here. Glancing at the freshkill piles dwindling amount, walked towards the shadows of the forest. Might as well go hunting, I don't have anything else to do. After wandering through the undergrowth, Needlerain picked up the scent of a mouse. He caught it and buried it.

((Rainy, if Needlerain is now in the terra, you'd post ---Needlerain to Terra--- ))
dying means nothing, it's all the life that makes me sing.
Hey! What were all these cats doing up already? The handsome tom gave an enthusiastic yawn, drawing a long pink tougue over a couple of his favorite scars, lacing his broad, powerful shoulders and puffed, proud chest, and that prized gash dividing him from the base of his thin tail all the way to his left arm pit. That was beauty, and well earned. Northwind smirked when he recalled that big theiving TempestClan brute who though he could bash around the other clans. That mouse brain before Tearstar. He'd given this personal gift to VertigoClan's prized warrior as a farewell gift before Lynxstar, in a rage, watched him tumble into an abyss. Northwind, shivering despite the beautiful sunlight, could still recall the strange merciless grin upon his leader's features, though deep rue followed that event.
The lean tabby smiled, relishing how his brutal-looking, well earned notches in his flesh could tell such a story, also glad he'd grown up in this clan, where he could learn to be tough, but gentle. Unlike those wanna-be TempestClanners. He inwardly snorted and, forgetting all about his dismay at his quiet morning being ruined, trotted out in the strange, warm weather to greet his fellow clansmates, and friends. First, he saw Radienteclipse, one of his favorites, she was so cheery, next to Cloverspring, of course. It was unfortunate that, seemingly, all the toms of VertigoClan were so unsocial, and he had to seek them out. Come to think of it, most of his clanmates were like that, sad an unsocial, though he didn't understand it. Even Lynxstar seemed that way to other clans, though he, and most other VertigoClanners, perceived her more as a young mother.
Finally, he was tired of dawdling around, just thinking, he did that enough as it was, now, when the sun was glimmering down at them, and all his clanmates out and about, he'd rather chat, not ponder and think like a crusty old elder! A devilish smile appeared, curling the corners of his maw, while his long whiskers pointed forward, erect in a feline smile. He purred and spied out his favorite cat to bother er- chat with, Lostdesire. He gave a satisfied tail flick that he'd found the depressed little she-cat, and he'd bet his left ear she'd be in no mood to chat. Too bad for her!
"Hey there, gorgeous!" Northwind called boisteriously to the she-cat hidden in the bush, waving his tail wildly in greeting, like a hyper child waving to her favorite uncle. It wasn't like he was flirting, he'd say that to an elder or even Lynxstar, whether Losty here knew that or not, he didn't bother figuring.

Poppyfur scowled. "Warriors these days..." she meowed before letting out a sigh. "Oh dear, you know I'm not the gorgeous one, you are!" she replied in a silly, high pitched voice. She padded out of the bush, looking at the tom who had called out. Holy StarClan... He IS gorgeous. she thought before letting out a laugh. She searched around for Whiteflame... No sign of him... Better have some fun while I can. She padded with a sexy little stride toward him. "Hello, baby cakes. Now, what are you doing around here? Following little ol' me? Now honey... You know the other girls will get jealous! Now, run along before I start a'followin' you."

Cloverspring
Cloverspring bounded out of the warrior's den, not the least bit hesitant to embrace the day. But then again, was she ever not? Her fluffy gray tail sweeping the earth excitedly, she stopped to scope out the area. Everyone seemed to be out in the territories already, what busybodies. Poppyfur had just wandered out of the elder's den, where Northwind was chatting with another cat. Just the cat she was looking for! Having no concept of personal space or privacy, Cloverspring dashed over, jumping in on the conversation as her emerald pools glittered. "Heya!"

He watched the slow, jerking movements as Lostdesire made her way out from under the bush. Was she especially grumpy today, or stiff from bad sleep or... POPPYFUR? Appauled, Northwind's eyes flew open, pale lights lashing a siren as the elder swaggered out of the bush, he could have sworn he saw Lostdesire crawl under one... wrong one obviously. This was more awkward than he'd barganed for, she was old enough to be his grandmother! Northwind gave a little cough. "Uhm, thanks Poppyfur," He mumbled, shifting his weight as she played sexy and slowly crawled towards him, he had to admit, the sight was silly, he made an inward chuckle,"Well, ain't you lookin' fine an' healthy, miss," He cooed, playing along, "You know I chase those older she-coots when I can!" He laughed, taking a deep, grateful breath as Cloverspring bounded in. "Now look Poppyfur, you've gone and made Cloverspring jealous!" He shot a wink at the pretty green-eyed warrior, poking her with his tail, "What's new?" He asked his friend.

Cloverspring
Cloverspring grinned as the friendly old joker of a tom cleverly deflected Poppyfur's act. "Not much. That's the problem, you know! I wish I had an apprentice, or something..." she pawed at the ground, a cool breeze ruffling her silky gray pelt. "Maybe teach ZephyrClan a lesson or two over a border scuffle, y'know?" she reared up on her hind legs and batted the air with her oversized white paws. She was being silly again, but she knew Northwind didn't care.
