Cloudstep smirked. He was halfway across the camp, and the words Lynxstar had just spoken made him chuckle. 'Good for you, Lynxstar,' the tom cheered on the leader in his head. She always had something good to say to a warrior who acted up, although he shouldn't speak for himself. He quickly shut up, not wanting to be caught for eavesdropping, although really it wasn't considered eavesdropping. he just had really good hearing. He couldn't help but feel a little bad for Lavenderpaw, the only thing she had asked the warrior was how the prey was running, which made him want to laugh once more. He didn't, for obvious reasons. How a warriors temper could work up just at one little statement always confused the tom. Sure, he got angry sometimes, but not angry enough to want to hurt another person in his clan.

Buzzardspite hung his head. Now the apprentice was sure to begin sneering at him. He glanced up at his leader, she was wise and strong, a good leader, so he was sure she would be able to figure out what had gone on. He dipped his head in respect to his leader. Lynxstar was a brilliant figure and he did not want to be on her bad side, or else he would be on the bad side of the entire clan. He would not wine to her, but speak in a calm, confident voice, "I am hope that you will be able to trust a warrior over an apprentice, but this is what happened: She walked up to me, I admit I wasn't in a good mood and replied to her greeting a bit harshly, but then she provoked me, she began jeering and I couldn't let her get away with it, but I never intended to draw blood. Do with me what you wish, I am not afraid to be given what I deserve."Now his leader had gotten him back to thinking normally. The tabby tom was once incapable of controlling himself, but Lynxstar dealt with the situation well. Now, in return Buzzardspite was leaving himself at her disposal. His striped tail was no longer lashing, but instead hanging down, and his fur lay flat. Now it was all up to Lynxstar, whether she believed her warrior or not.

Rovoked? No that wasn't wuite right at all. Well maybe it was, after all th tahad been her purpuse. She lay under his large paw, quite unexceptnant of what had just come. Her head stung, and her eyes watered from the hit and fall. She saw Lynxstar and Cloudstep, but was too phased to understand most of what they were saying."Get--get off you brute!" she gasped painfully, heaving upwards. She stood on shaky legs, her musces trying to holf her up.
"I--well I was just trying to make conversation really, I guess I did get a bit mean and carried away though..."she spoke, trying to apologize as much as she could with slurred words. She crouched under Lynxstar's gaze, eyes on the ground and head bowed. "I'm sosrry realy I am Buzzardspite..." she whinned softly, wanting desperatly to go see Humblecharm. She stayed where she was though, beneath the leval of both Lynxstar and Buzzardspite. She hated her temper, she aslways got carried away! "Please punish me as well Lynxstar, double the amount Buzzardspite gets if you may." she spoke, shooting a guilty glance at the warrior. ooc: Can they become friends Coel? Maybe even amtes??

Cloudstep chuckled and got himself slowly to his paws. He wanted to check out what exactly went wrong. The tom arched his back gracefully, and began his walk halfway across the camp, talking one step carefully, his head held high in a stuck up way. His paws pricked high above the ground, and the air he held about him was just ignorant and selfish. He held a gentle smile on his face, though, not wanting to act the way he normally did, while around Lynxstar. He had to act well. "What's going on?" he asked curiously, his eyes holding nothing but curiosity and gentleness.

Littlepaw__&& I'll always help you make it through, but I am little, so it will be a miracle if I do Littlepaw gratefully took the coltsfoot from Dakrfog, nodding his thanks. Then he flicked his tail. "Stay. Stay here and calm her!" He mumbled between the coltsfoot to Darkfog. He was starting to get a bit nervous, but he knew that he'd do fine, it was just a bit of anxiety...He shook his head. "stop it, littlepaw. think medicine cat. think medicine cat"
he brought his thoughts back to the present day. He inhaled and looked at the queen. "Eat these too, please, Abyssbird." He dropped then in front of her and waited for her to eat them. He looked at Darkfog. "If you can't do blood and guts, then maybe you actually shouldn't be in here." He meowed in a calm tone. He was very bouncy, but he knew that he had to keep it down, because now was his chance to show it to the Clan, and it's always good to be appreciated. ooc;// bad post, sorry.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

l y n x s t a r - - - [ <3 ] As Buzzardspite sat back, seeming to regain a mellow disposition, Lynxstar dipped her head in return, grateful for an ounce of respect from the young warrior, rather than the cocky response she'd been expecting. As she opened her maw to utter the dignified acceptance of his apoligy, she sensed Lavenderpaw scrabble up behind her, and turned slowly to watch the cascade of words tumble from her mouth, and snorted softly. "Alright, alright. I get it, Lavenderpaw. Settle down." She murmured soothingly, nodding and raising a single, massive paws to rest on the apprentice's shoulder, and let out a soft sigh before turning back to Buzzardspite. "I can see that neither of you meant anything serious, and because I can't actually consider this a fight, I'll punish neither of you." Her head swiveled once more to gaze evenly at the small female thriugh sullen gray lights. "Lavenderpaw, I will notify your mentor though. If they feel you have earned a punishment, then they can deal with that department." Lynxstar pushed up her massive frame and shook her head slowly. "Look, just behave from now on, both of you, would you?" She asked gently, gazing into each of their face in turn, then spun to trot to the fresh-kill pile, and nearly bumped into Cloudstreak on her way. "Oomft!" She squeaked, backing up a step. "Sorry there," The tawny leader's voice was soft and quiet, as usual. "Nothing's going on. Just more drama, as usual." She sighed, dipped her head, and brushed past the tom with an unenthusiastic half-smile.
a b y s s b i r d - - - [ <3 ] It seemed, by now, that everytime her frantic heart dared to pulse, a frenzied pang of white-hot pain shuddered through her gasping body, rattling her small frame. The gasps and screams were inevidable, unavoidable, not even controlled. They ripped free of her throat as they pleased, here and there, now and then. As Darkfog emerged into the den, her heart raced faster, pain pounding quicker, but the agonized yowls had dissolved into quiet, heart-breaking whimpers. "D-Darkfog!" She squeaked, awaiting his strong, suportive body to curl around hers, warm her, comfort her. Small golden blossoms were placed before her by Littlepaw, as were instructions to eat them. Could she even chew in this state? it seemed her body would listen to no command given. But the kits! The poor kits! Gritting her teeth in determination, she stretched a trembling forepaw out to grasp the herb, and place it in her maw, dry from so much yowling. But slowly, she chewed, and gulped it down with a visible wince. One single scream ripped out of her throat as the first kit emerged. She felt her abdomen ripple and move, she feared she would vomit, but nothing came but rapid breaths. A kit! A kit! She wanted to leap for joy, but another shudder, then cry snapped out of her petite frame, and the next kit came. The last? yes, the last. A sigh of relief gushed from her lips as Abyssbird flopped onto her side, sides heaving with effort. Kits.. Consciousness ebbed from her grasp like a receeding wave from the lake. Her lids slid closed as exhausted sleep wrapped around her like a comforting blanket.

Buzzardspite had been forgiven. He great leader had chosen not to pinish him, nor Lavenderpaw. Now he was sure he would never get an apprentice, although he was sure now that he could handle one, just one that was more. . . obedient. He looked at Lavenderpaw with a doft gaze and walked past her as he passed her, he whispered in her ear, "I'm sorry." I was just queit enough that no one else would hear. He walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a gold finch. The tabby took the warm body over to the entrance of the nursery where Abyssbird was delivering kits. He didn't even poke his head in, but simply laid the bird at the entrance, sure enough, the wind would carry the scent of the meal inside the den and any hungry cats inside, especially Abyssbird, could have a meal. Today he wouldn't eat, he didn't deserve it. He slowly walked towards the entrance to camp, and sat next to it, looking as if he was guarding the entrance, so that noting that was a threat could make it through. He was a lonely soul, but he was used to it. He lived that way.

Cloudstreak had realized his mistake of where he had managed to settle himself, when he found himself trying to stay upright. His eyes sparkled with new-found amusement, and he dipped his head. "Sorry about that, Lynxstar," Cloudstreak chuckled. "My mistake," he muttered, smiling sheepishly. 'More Drama,' she had said, which made the toms smile widen. "Drama seems to never end here, now does it?" he meowed while a grin crept across his face. At least with Lynxstar, he could converse with her without having to point out any flaws. The she-cat was made leader, so she was perfect, had to be perfect. But shaking himself mentally, he left his thoughts about perfection to drop somewhere into the back of his mind.

Lavenderpaw brightned. There would be no punishment, unless her mentor decided there would be. They probably wouldn't, not if she worked extra hard the next few days. Her purple eyes held sadness as Buzzardspite stalked off, whispering sorry in her small ears. She hung her head, feeling ashamed of herself. She quietly tucked her tail between her leegs following him. He dropped the finch back on the pile. Her eyes watched hi mquestioningly.
"You aren't going to eat?" she asked softly, feeling even worse then before. "This is all because of me isn't it?!" she wailed, sitting down hard beside him. "Why can't I control my temper, I always ruin everything!"

Darkfog nodded slightly at the words of Littlepaw, knowing he should stay but not sure if he wanted to stay. Sure he could handle blood and guys as he was a warrior and dealt with the fact that blood existed in battle. He had been faced with bloddied warriors, fur torn from their body, barely alive. He had been asked to end a life and had done so...with hesitation of course. He couldn't stand to see others be in pain. And he definitely didn't want to see Abyssbird in pain. After all he had caused part of this pain by being her mate. He had a part in the kits and he knew he did. Hearing his name coming from her, between the yowls and shrieks of pain, he couldn't help but feel his heart go out to her. Sighing inwardly he moved towards her, letting his body lay behind hers. His body fit around hers almost perfectly, a piece in the puzzle of life. Time passed quick enough, and he couldn't help but try and doze off. He didn't want to go through this anymore than she probably did. As he heard two cries of pain he knew it had to be a kit. He smiled softly as he realized that there were two kits. He knew that Littlepaw's job was basically done. His curiosity got the best of him as he tried to look at the small kits. "The kits, our kits." He purred softly. They were both darker like Abyssbird...but that did not phase him...they were still theirs.

Buzzardspite sighed. His eyes had darkened and he stared on into the distance. He could hear the arrival of the new kits, their mother shrieking in pain. Ah, but kits were blessed things, always innocent, free of the burden of the war between things good and bad, the one that went on inside everyone's head. He spoke softly to Lavanderpaw, "No, it has nothing to do with you. Its me, just me. I am the one here that is a failure. I will never be a true warrior. . ." He turned his gaze to the ground. Hopefully the apprentice would not ask him why he would never be a true warrior. He hoped she would just forget about it and leave him alone. The tabby wrapped his tail around his paws and just sat there. Remorse hung in his eyes for all he had done. Buzzardspite hated himself for everything he had done. Once he was an arrogant, hated apprentice. No wonder Northwind had refused to do anything to help him. Maybe Buzzardspite was wrong, maybe he hadn't changed. His tabby ears pinned back against his head and he shuddered as dark thoughts filled his mind.

♫♫ô LAVENDERPAW♫♫ô Lavenderpaw just sat and listened to Buzzardspite talk, blame himself. She didn't feel like speaking or anything either. Her lavender eyes were soft with sadness. She hardly new why Buzzardspite was the way he was, so grumpy and snappy. She didn't know what was running through his head. She sensed he wanted her to leave, but she didn't want to.
Lavenderpaw just kept siting, slightly frieghtened of the dark look in his eyes. "Well, do you want me to leave then? Cuz I will if yo udon't want me here..." she spoke softly, purple eyes glaning up at him.

Buzzardspite said nothing. He simply walked away. He padded softly toward the fallen log where his leader's den was hoping she'd be inside. As he walked along he glanced at the nursery where some innocent kits had just come into the world. They would be great warriors for VertigoClan. He started to imagine how big the forces of the other clans were becoming. He shook his head to clear his mind of the thoughts of war. Now was a time of peace, and he should cherish it. He thought of more positive things, like who would mentor the kits, and how many there were. Hopefully at least one of their aspirations will come true. Maybe, if they get a good mentor, they will have the chance to become deputy, and maybe survive long enough to be leader. As he was walking, the idea hit him: maybe Lynxstar could take on one of them as her own apprentice? His paws prickled with anticipation, it would surely delight one of the kits. Finally he reached the entrance to the log den that the leader slept in. He waited silently at the entrance, letting his scent be carried into the den so she could give him permission to enter.

Rowanleaf padded into camp, a bird in his mouth. He had been wandering around the territory and the bird had practically jumped out at him. It was just too easy to let it go to waste. He had come straight back after that, he didn't really feel like hunting much today. He wasn't in the mood. He wasnt in the mood for alot of things today.
He set the bird down upon the fresh kill pile and sat next to it. What would he do now? There was nothing to do! He was bored out of his head. He looked around the camp, there were a few people around him. Lavenderkit, Cloudstreak and Buzzardspite near Lynxstars den. Still, nothing to do.

♫♫ô LAVENDERPAW♫♫ô Lavenderpaw just huffed as Buzzardspite as he walked off. She sat for a while more, yawning her small mouth open, and cleaning her fur. She forgot all about the rude tom and walked over to the fresh-killpile where Rowanleaf was siting afte her dropped his food off.
"Morning Rowanleaf." she stated cheerfully, dragging a small mouse from the pile. She let it dangle by the tail from her mouth, and she nodded over to her left, indicating he too should gather something to eat and join her.
