Darkfog wanted to rush into the Nursery, and ring the neck of Littlepaw. It sounded like he was killing Abyssbird. Her yowls were only from the kits, and he knew that. Sighing the tom tried to sit still only disrupted by the yowls and screeches. Rising to his paws he started to pace, only to be surprised when he heard a cat speaking to him. Looking up his eyes found Littlepaw and he couldn't help but think the worst. But hearing the request he nodded and quickly made his way to the Medicine Cat den. Now he was no Medicine Cat or Medicine Cat apprentice but it wasn't that hard to find coltsfoot. Especially since Littlepaw had instructed him when to find it. Grabbing it in his maw he quickly made his way back to the Nursery. He knew he wasn't supposed to be in there but he had to give the herb to Littlepaw after all. "Here. She or any of the kits are hurt, I'll hunt you down." The words were soft and whispered only to the young tom. He knew it was only going to put more pressure on the apprentice but he felt that he needed to protect Abyssbird and the kits to come.

n o r t h w i n d - - - [ <3 ] Silence gulped up the normally talkitive tom like a void, brushing away all thoughts of speaking as soon as they entered his idle mind. This was too much drama. Too much drama. His massive paws itched to get up and wander to the weeping Flamingarrow and comfort her, but he also felt that was no his place to do, as he was not very close to her. Those were some key components to a big bowl of awkward. Shaking his head, Northwind finally stood, dipping his head, still silent, to Dustmask and Butterflywing, clearly brewing somethign with each other, which amused the warrior slightly, and turned, but not before shooting a hard glare at the obnoxiously arrogent, air-headed Chasmriver. Spinning round, Northwind stopped in the direction of camp's exit, feeling he could not take one more single scream from the nursery. or he himself would let out a good yowl. Spying his sister, Cloverspring and the deputy head out of camp, probably thinking the same thing as he, and idea struck. Reflectedpaw! Oh yes, he'd love to relieve the young tom of the sound of Abyssbird's screams, plus he could get a headstart on training. Smiling, the scarred tabby tom trotted toward the Apprentice's Den, and poked his head in, green eyes glimmering. "Reflectedpaw!" His deep voice boomed, arrousing all the apprentices, who instantly began to whine. He chuckled, eyes scanning the shaded den for his apprentice's tabby tawny pelt.

[reflected|paw] look in a mirror ; i'm beside you The screams, yowls, and other sounds of pure pain echoed inside of him as they passed through his ears. He shuddered. One of the pregnant queens was giving birth. He continued his way into the camp, and set down his mouse that he had caught. He dipped his head to the deputy as she passed by him, and she smiled at him. His cold gaze scanned the camp just to keep tabs on every cat inside of it. "Reflectedpaw!" he heard coming from the direction of the apprentices' den. He rolled his green and blue eyes as he realized it was his mouse-brained mentor, Northwind. He padded over to him and stood beside the tom for a moment. He let out a low, evil chuckle as his mentor stuck his head inside the den to search for him. "If you paid any attention to me, you would have noticed I went on a hunting patrol." he meowed loudly and harshly to Northwind, trying to scare his mentor.

C:.l.:.u.:.s.:t:.e.Grunting, the silver, white and black striped tabby tom got to his paws. His light green eyes blinked sleepily, but he instantly shot himself awake. Orbs danced around the warriors den. No one special, or good to talk to. They were all sleeping anyways. Picking his paws off the ground, the tom made his way out of the warrior den, looking around. He heard yowling, but decided not to check it out. He sighed irritably, and sat outside the warriors den, waiting for someone he actually enjoyed to come into the camp, or out of a den.

n o r t h w i n d - - - [ <3 ] At the sound of his apprentice's obnoxiously cocky voice, reminding him strongly of another annoying young tom, Northwind's head popped up, nearly hitting a branch above him, but he swerved with liquid grace and spun around, forepaw flicking out cooly as the massive tabby and white warrior knocked Reflectedpaw's forepaws out from under him. Northwind played a perfect straight face, though he could not help his luminous eyes shining brightly with wicked amusement. "You must think you're pretty cute, huh?" Northwind meowed loudly, flicking ou his paw once more to cuff the other tom over his huge kitten ears gently, then crouching down, lowering his face until it was next to Reflectedpaw's, and grinned. "Well, you're not, son. You're not even close. You're arrogant, and overconfident, and you think you're much smarter than you are. But alas! You're to have no worries about this unfortunate case, Reflectedpaw, because you have me. I'm making it my personal goal to knock all those undesirable traits right out of your pelt in a good round of battle training because I'm just that thoughtful. Thank you Northwind. Oh, dear boy, you're so welcome." Northwind winked and rose to his full height once more, then flicked his tail and nodded towards the territory. "Get up and dust yourself off, let's go rip some fur off!" He laughed and trotted out of camp.

[reflected|paw]
His eyes narrowed into slits, and he spat at the spot his mentor had been standing only moments before he had walked away. He sighed as he realized his only choice of action was to obey his mentor and go train with him. He slowly followed his mentor and made his way out of camp, through the territory, and to the training grounds.

Sharp squeals and yowls pierced the thin membrane that was her ears and she winced, unable to imagine the spasms of pain Abyssbird was no doubt feeling. She was relieved when Lilythorn's brilliant blue lights caught hers, polite but always with that abrasive edge that embodied the VertigoClan deputy. She dipped her head and opened her maw, only to clamp it shut when Summerpath strolled in, chatting oh-so casually about, well, the queen's ordeal. "That'd be lovely." she concluded when the two she-cats decided on a hunting patrol. "I hope she'll be alright." Cloverspring bit her lip, watching a flustered Darkfog return to the nursery with a clump of a golden flower, but she knew her friends were right, Abyssbird was hardier than she looked.
"Keep your fur on, I'm coming!" she grumbled, massive paws clomping on the snow-laden ground as she dashed after them. She shivered as a snowdrift crashed down on her from a nearby evergreen, but kept up the pace, following Lilythorn's blazing pelt.

B U Z Z A R D S P I T E The tabby was sitting in the clearing cleaning himself. He was not sharing tongues, because he didn't really have any friends, but he wasn't sure he had made any enemies yet either. He was not shamed though, because he was a warrior, and a strong one at that. Buzzardspite stood up and walked over towards the center of the clearing. There he sat and watched the affairs of the other cats. His dull eyes stared at the apprentices and mentors, side by side, going out to hunt or patrol. It was useless. He would never be granted an apprentice, because he himself had been deprived of training do to his mentor, Northwind, who neglected him greatly. His tail lashed at the thought. All he wanted was revenge, to bring down Northwind, but because he knew it would be considered treason to VertigoClan, he had yet to actually do anything that might show his true feelings toward Northwind. Buzzardspite watched jealously and then hung his head down, staring at the tall grass that was the carpet of the mountain territory of VertigoClan.

With eyes or LAVENDER and PAWS with skill...
Lavenderpaw quickly trottted through the camp entrance, prey hanging from her mouth. She had gone out alone...feeling bored and dejected. Dropping her things o nthe pile, she took a look around. She spotted a few warriosr here and there, and ongoing shreiks from the nursrey. Abyssbird must be kitting! Oh she souln't wait to see the new lives when they were born. She knew to leave things in the medicine cats paws for now. Glancing around she spotted a newer warrior Buzzardspite washing himself outside. She trotted over, her thin tail held high. He was handsom, and couldn't be much older than she was.
"Hello there Buzzardspite, how's the prey running for you?" came her angelic soft voice. She intended to learn more about this tom, right now and right here.

Buzzardspite looked up from washing his paw and laid it on the ground ever so gingerly. Lavanderpaw had just walked up to him and asked him a question. So, his response was not one of a kind warrior. The young warrior glared down at the apprentice with grey eyes, ferocity and hatred full force in his eyes. The poor little apprentice had unknowingly walked up to him when he was in a bad mood. He would have lashed out then and there, but controlled himself. This incompetent fool was talking to him? She didn't even nod her head in respect to him. This was a mere apprentice, and he was sure that Lynxstart wouldn't mind if he took a chunk out of her ear. . .
He stopped himself. This apprentice had gone too far off the deep end without learning how to swim. Had it not been for how he had never had a real mentor, just one who ignored him, he would be a bit nicer towards apprentices, but jealousy rushed through his blood, causing his irrational thinking when an apprentice bothered him. "The prey is running FINE." He managed to push the words through gritted teeth. He took a deep breath and held it before quite a while to calm himself. He was never going to have an apprentice.

Lavenderpaw shrunk back under his gaze. Such anger and hatred filled his grey eyes, his fur was standing on end! He squeeked in fear, backing off. She had just said hello! She would not let this buly of a warrior treat her this way. She hardly cared if the prey was running fine." Whats biting you today Buzzardspite. You know...spite. Thats a good name Lynxstar gave to you! Sure siuts you." the cheeky little kit spat at him, stadning up. He couldn't hurt her. He had no friends any ways. Everyone would take her side if they fought, she was after all the cuter one.
"Whats the matter, cat got your tougne?" she sneered at him, egging him on.

Hah! He was being provoked! Now he could get her stuck with helping the elders because she was not listening to a warrior. The little twerp needed to know her place. His grey eyes gleamed and they shone with a mysterious light. Her little remarks did nothing to him, he had been through much harsher ridicule. First he'd need to control the little rebellious apprentice. He had taught himself much while he was an apprentice, and even got the aid of some other warriors, so he would clearly be able to beat the apprentice. Buzzardspite moved forward, the muscles rippling under his pelt. He was faster than many opponents would anticipate, and he took his paw to strike her on the side of the head, and then, if his attack had pulled through, swiftly pull her feet out from under her, and then pin her on the ground. This he could do without drawing any blood which was a good thing. If he had managed to pin her down on the ground, he had much in store for her, but nothing more painful than a long lecture.

Cloudstep grumbled. Still no one worthy of talking to! He sat rigidly in his place, and grumbled to himself, his tail flicking irritably. He looked around. No one was perfect, and if he didn't get to know some cat, then he'd end up all alone..with no friends, but could that possibly be a good thing? For a cat with a wild temper like Cloudstep, it was a possibility. He could make a friend then break the friendship easily, just with a flick of his tail, or one wrong word spilled out of his mouth. He wasn't used to change, didn't like it.

l y n x s t a r - - - [ <3 ] As a quick, sharp wailing sounded through camp, ringing in Lynxstar's twitching ears and rattling her bones, she jumped up, glancing at Darkfog as he rushed in, reporting frenzily that Abyssbird had gone into labor. Lovely. At least there was Littlepaw.. he'd handle it, hopefully. What? Of course he was! He was a bright little soul, and Humblecharm teached him well. Why wouldnt he be able to? Shaking her head slowly, she watched as Serenewinter floated out of the rotting tree like a ghost, and the massive leader cringed. Now she'd blame her for, what? Necglect. 'Oh dear, no one wants me!' Probably. Just because there was too much happening for Lynxstar to keep track of. It was all chaos. Lilythorn dashed in, then also flowed out, dancing into the clearing. The den was cleared, but her mind wasnt. Far from it. Why all the chaos? Was her clan doomed to be filled with bumbling idiots with simple minds and complex ties? What a nightmare. Lynxstar's whole collosal frame shook from side to side as she fluffed out her thick, course dappled tawny coat. She emerged into the dull sunlight and looked around, drowning out Abyssbird's screams, they hardly meant a thing to Lynxstar anymore. It would be over in a flash. New life. Kits. The thickset leader chuckled softly and trotted into the center of the needle-carpeted camp, and looked around her, letting a gentle growl rumble in her throat and shine in her cold gray eyes when she caught site of an apparent disagreement between one of her newer warriors, and Lavenderpaw. Neither had a clean history of behavior, but this was moderately ridiculous. Her coat flowed in silken waves as she burst over to the scuffle in a quick bound, ramming Buzzardspite roughly off the small apprentice with her shoulder. Her gaze locked with his, gray and gray. Her ears flicked back against her neck, then perked forth, nose twitching frustratedly. "Look Buzzardspite, I'm sure this she-cat isn't as innocent as she looks, and I'm nto sure how violent you were planning on becoming, but it's simply unacceptable to lay your paws on a clanmate just because you're frustrated!" She narrowed her gaze and sat back, sizing up the tom. "Should I put you back as an apprentice as I had done with Chasmriver, Flamingarrow, and Cedarsnap when they were in a fight?" She asked evenly, cocking a brow.
