Flamingarrow echoed Abyssbird's purr with her own. "All of our kits are beautiful." She murmured as she looked down upon her litter of five. Her ears twitched as the obsidian she-cat asked what the kits names were. "[bThis little ornery one is Heatkit," The queen started and she poked the fiery ginger tom with her paw. "And this little calico is Seedkit, the black and white girl next to her is Phloxkit, that onyx tom is Silhouettekit, and the last one is Blazekit, another ginger tom." Pride was swelling in her voice, and her eyes softened as she looked at her offspring. "We're all conceited, Abyssbird." Flamingarrow said, with a small giggle at the end. Letting out a sigh, she spoke up about Serenewinter and Darkfog. "He's probably did something really stupid. He's not even worth recognition, Abyssbird. That's how I feel about your brother. He abandoned me, and I'm sad to see that it's happening to you too." Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper, as she spoke to Abyssbird. Their lives were pretty bad, but they had their kits and each other's friendships. It was all they needed.

She couldn't help but nod numbly in agreement with Flamingarrow's first words, for her denmate was also immensely of her own children. Not only that, but they were all relatives, cousins. Sweet, adorable babies. all the names were suiting, little playful Phloxkit, mischievious Heatkit, scrawny little Seedkit, quiet Blazekit, and happy Silhouettekit. "Beautiful names, Flamingarrow." Abyssbird commended her new partner in crime with a weak smile and flicked her whiskers forward, twitching an ear while the stocky ginger she-cat continued her seemingly wise words. Suddenly, Abyssbird felt a blaze of loyalty to her kin lance through her and shivered, trying to push it away, trying to convince ehrself that Flamingarrow was right, but she knew Chasmriver. He wasn't some arrogent creep who enchanted she-cats and left them miserable and pregnant. A million insults on Flamingarrow's behalf popped into Abyssbird's mind, but she said nothing, only looking away from the other queen at her small litter, a faint frown forming upon her pretty face. "Chasmriver is a good tom, he just doesn't face responsibility well." It doesn't much help that you couldn't keep your paws off of him, either! She wanted to yowl in continuation, but pushed it back. "He'll want to see my litter eventually." She added instead. "I don't know how you'll want to face that."

Another sigh came out of her mouth. "He /is/ a good tom, Abyssbird, and I won't stop him from seeing his neice and nephew. The only thing I will stop him from is even stealing a /glance/ at /my/ kits." Her last words were fierce, and her voice had become very sharp. She had already decided upon this. Flamingarrow knew Abyssbird loved her brother, and Flamingarrow knew that she had loved him. Hell, she probably still did, but he had left her and that was all it took for her own world to be ripped to shreds. The queen was so damn young, and she hadn't wanted kits at all. Yes, she knew that a litter would be in her future, but not so soon! He had done this to her! It was his fault, wasn't it? Maybe it had been her own fault too. "Reality is cruel and so, so harsh, isn't it? I shouldn't be bad mouthing him, but I can't help it. This was my fault too. I was so blind.." With a sniff, she blinked to keep from crying. Her life was screwed up, and she was finally realizing it much too late.

Dustedrose was utterly...blank? Disappointed wasn't the right word for her feeling. She didn't really know what to think about the whole thing, combining with Zephyr? She'd rather just be alone but it'd be alright, better than Tempest or Celestial. She sat in silence, listening as all the different felines spoke up and smirked. It was interesting to see what each different cat would say and how they would feel about the ordeal. "It's cool." She mewed quietly, the sound of her voice lost in the noise that was being made. Suddenly a thought shook her and she quieted down. It wouldn't be too long until she had her kits and what if it happened at the wrong time? Or at the wrong place? A small shudder shook her frame as she retreated back a few paces and sat near the nursery. Small mews of kits and femcats could be heard faintly. Dusty was both excited and scared for the kits. Excited because who wouldn't want to have several little kittens running around and being crazy? Scared because she'd never been through labor, but it couldn't be too bad. She looked around for Northwind or another one of her friends(actually she didn't really have 'friends') and sighed.
ooc; crappy sorry have to go home

"Dusty? Dustedrosssse!" His loud, deep voice rumbled through camp like a subtle boom of thunder, quiet enough that only the nearest cats turned to stare at him, mildly amused, but loud enough for Northwind to feel his ears heat with embarrassment, but not for long. He was beyond proud of his beautiful mate and he could care less if his clanmates judged him for summoning his love so publicly. And anyways, it was more than obvious how affectionate the two were of each other, he shouldn't feel embarrassed that his friends still stopped and stared, right? Oh silly Northwind, He reprimanded himself, curling his tailtip as his forest green gaze landed on the formerly slender tawny she-cat, just forget it all, you're going to be a dad! "Hey there pretty momma," He teased gently, brushing his tail along her shoulder, smiling warmly. How could he not smile? It was just about impossible to control his expression when he was feeling such a constant jet of delight shooting through his every limb, dancing under his skin and singing in his ears whenever he was around her. Impulsively, the muscular tabby pressed his muzzel to the hollow just below her ear and jaw, grinning into her soft coat and breathing deeply until he felt as though he was drowning in her presence. "How are you feeling Dusty?" He murmured into her neck.
War, ohh the word was like sinking into a cool pit of mud on a hot summer noon, and the flare of battle was ignited within the massive tabby and it wasn't going away until it was satisfied with blood, but it wasn't a violent feeling, it was an odd tranquility for him. With all this stupid drama following his every step, in comparrison a battle was simple, it was bliss. The screams of enemies around him and that tearing sensation of his own long ivory knives swinging through flesh and fur, and the numb feeling when he obtained so many little scratches and blood matted his fur that he couldn't be bothered to regain orientation. When these thoughts dashed through his mind, Chasmriver wondered what monster he was, getting his little fangirl all fat and kit-loaded, leaving her for the cravign of war? it was true, that the young tom still believed hsi descision for the best, because there was no way in hell and back that he would make out to be any sort of father, and if he was off recklessly fighting for the numbing joy of it and accidentally got himself killed without a care in the world, he'd be leaving Flamingarrow and the kids anyway. Plus, he was way to young for that crap. Didn't that ginger demon always claim to be the mature one anyway? Well as far as he knew, she was right, and he didn't care. He just wanted to fight, to bad that idiot Cedarsnap went and got himself killed. It was always a riot to see that fool try and fight. Sighing, topaz eyes flashed in the direction of the nursery as he heard his sister's muffled voice. He could always take on Darkfog, boy would that be a hoot! Grinning at the simple thought, Chasmriver faltered a step, frowning. Darkfog really did deserve to be knocked upside the head with a rock or a hefty paw, but that wasn't his deal to take, it was Abyssbird's, if she ever got the guts to stand up for herself, and he needed to see his sister's children. As soon as Flamingarrow left to use the dirtplace or something, he'd slip inside and visit them, maybe he'd steal a glance at his own, too. No, stupid, why would you even bother? he shot at himself, inwardly frowning. His conscious was right, and Chasmriver knew it. Abyssbird would summon him when she wanted him to see her kits, and not a moment sooner, as for Flamingarrow, well, she'd get over him at some point or another, and if she wanted to hide the kits like a barbarian hiding a piece of fresh-kill, let her, he found it in his heart not to care a bit. Content at this, Chasmriver picked up his paws in a springing trot and slipped out of camp to hunt. -CHASMRIVER TO TERRA- - -
"If I ever find another tom, one who loves me dearly and calls me darling, I'd like to name one of our kits Heartkit, or perhaps Passionkit, or Amourkit, wouldn't that be lovely?" The ebony queen sighed at the thought, though it was almost a sigh of happiness at the though, that one single sound was full of distress to break a heart in two if anyone who heard it hadn't already been put in that state. Her words seemed so out of the blue, but now was no time to dwell on what had happened to these two poor young mothers, abandoned and alone with hearts that had left a gaping hole in their chests, only to be filled by the other's sisterly affection and the suckinling sound of their babies. "I like the name Cardinalkit for a little ginger tom, Flamingarrow, you ought to call one of yours that, when you find your dream tom and he sweeps you off your paws with a single glance and bears you beautiful children that you both love so much that your hearts might burst." Another sigh, like the first, but it was brimming with compassion for her new friend as she smiled a knowing smile and touched the ginger she-cat with her tailtip, a simple gesture of connection. "We've got each other now. You know it's not unheard of to raise a litter by one's self, so why not us? We can help each other and we'll do just fine. And when they're warriors, we'll tell them of their stupid fathers, but not a moment before, so we dont weigh down their light little hearts." Abyssbird nodded at the idea, meeting the other queen's green eyes.

There was quite a large grin upon her face. "Why, Abyssbird, I love the way you think. Heartkit.. It's so beautiful!" Her purr seemed to be lined with a smile like lace on a doilie. Flamingarrow let out a giggle, and then murmured once more. "Cardinalkit! Such a wonderful name! I will, once I find my perfect suitor. And I very much so like the idea of not telling the beautiful little kittens about either of their fathers. Very, very much!" Feelinging Heatkit moving back and forth again, she looked down and poked him with a paw, pushing him gently back toward her. He was very ornery indeed. "Restless little thing, Heatkit is, isn't he?" Just a moment after the words had come out of her mouth, a yawn erupted from it. It wasn't that she was tired, just waking up a bit more.

Cloudstreak blinked open his eyes. He had gotten some sleep. Enough to keep his energy up, he supposed. Yawing largely, the tom untangled his paws from below him and stood, stretching gracefully in the shade of the den. He sighed contentedly as he made his way out into the bright early new leaf sun, his eyelids dropping, covering his sensitive eyes from the sun. They would gradually adjust, they always did. He made his way over to the fresh-kill pile and searched around it for a small while until he was satisfied with a small vole carcass. He smiled as he carried the warm piece of prey into a shady area in the camp where he sat, smiling. Taking a small mouthful of the vole, the tom looked around, eyes still narrowed at the sky above.

The tom sat quietly, listening to the words and choosing not to take any emotional expression towards them. After she finished speaking he was silent, but it would only last for a few moments. Darkfog couldn't let Serenewinter think that he was blaming her for the incident. It wasn't her fault at all......but who would be blamed for the kits? Would Serenewinter tell Lynxstar they were Shard's and give them away,...or would she keep them? Keep them as her own and perhaps find another one for the kits to call "father". Either way was a possibility, and either way she'd have to talk to Lynxstar there was no doubting that. "Serenewinter, you have to tell Lynxstar. If there's a chance that they'll be coming for those kits, or for you, we need to be ready. You can't leave yourself vulnerable....not you." His words were strong and serious, concern blurring his vision as his last two words became soft and almost inaudible. Things were going....oddly. Turning to Abyssbird for comfort, his kits with her, Serenewinter returning, trying to off himself, finding himself with Serenewinter alone, and finding the feelings that had been hidden deep inside for many moons. He wasn't some cold hearted fool, especially since he loved her.

Serenewinter sighed with relief. "I am sorry this is all so complicated Darkfog." She meowed softly. Lynxstar would have to know though, Darkfog was right, she would have to protect her clan, that was what she had been doing for many moons. Eclipseomen had told her to bring the kits to her - if not they would come for them. She would happily bring the kits, but what if Lynxstar wanted more warriors for the clan? She gently bit her lip. "Come with me Darkfog?" She meowed, she didn't want it to be question, but after she asked she padded out on the medicine cats den, or rather limped, to find Lynxstar, she would have to tell her about the meeting with Eclipseomen too. "Lynxstar." She began quietly. "Eclipseomen came to me in the terra - I have a bit to explain." She trailed off.

Lynxstar? The soft sound of small paws crunching on the gravel and grass outside of her den woke the mighty she-cat before the gentle calling of her name did. Raising her massive head, blinking at the flood of light that entered her vision, followed by the bright form of Serenewinter, Lynxstar dipped her head with a comforting smile. "Ah, the terra is a vista of horrible things isn't it? Come inside Serenewinter, tell me what happened." She sighed softly, twitching her whiskers thoughtfully. "I only wish you had been on patrol with a good batch of strong warriors, so that satanic she-witch could be killed once and for all. Word at the gathering is that she crept to ZephyrClan with her apprentice and stole three kits, kittens! Newly born, literally born just a day or so before she came! I say, what kind of creep steals newborn kits?" The tawny she-cat mewed, scowling, though her last words faded into a mutter. "Please, make yourself comfortable. I have a few leftover pieces of fresh-kill over there if you're hungry. What happened Serenewinter?" Lynxstar asked softly, concern flooding her gray eyes.
Merging clans? How... silly. Really it was silly, and Summerpath couldn't help but find faint amusement in this idea. What was Perilstar really planning on getting out of having two clans? Obviously everyone in CelestialClan would hate him by now, and given the opportunity they'd race back to their own clan. It's not like they were loyal servants to him! And as for the rest of the forest, did he really think that VertigoClan and ZephyrClan would stand by and watch? Flaring her nostrils, the muscular she-cat turned to fetch herself a piece of fresh-kill to knaw on, or maybe just a big bone to chew, when she heard a familiar voice and spun to seek out Veiledpaw's silver mottled coat, then grinned when she finally did. "Hey there little fem-pal, wanna go train it up a bit?" She meowed cheesily, curling her tailtip happily. "Looks like you'll have to learn to fight!" She added with a purr.

The ivory she-cat slipped into Lynxstar's den and stood a moment feeling a bit out of place, before Lynxstar made her feel comfortable enough to sit down. This was what she loved about Lynxstar, no leader could be kinder in her eyes. It was easy to talk to her, and she was strong and looked out for her clan, could she hope for a better leader? She was disgusted that she had even considered just returning to Delirium. "Well as you know - Delirium were left weak after that battle, because the clans are stronger, but they want to get strong again, so thats why they stole the kits, they want to train them as Delirium cats, since they can't change warriors into blood thirsty killers. Well because of my fertility Shard - well - you can guess what happened next." She meowed, feeling as comfortable as she possibly could at a time when she was explaining something so horrible. "So Eclipseomen came to check up on me to see if I was actually expecting kits after I got away, she said I could stay but they wanted the kits and if I didn't bring them they would come and get them, I would be happy to hand them over, especially to ensure our clans safety, I don't think I would want to keep kits of Shard's." She meowed. She felt as though she could safely tell all of this to Lynxstar, even without Darkfog at her side, it may in fact of been better that he didn't come in. "And thats when I got the gash on my face - and the other came from Reflectedpaw, but he is young and Northwind has ensured his punishment." She finished.

Her spirits soared, and her heart leaped off that cliff that Darkfog was concealing her on and spread its beautiful name. "Yes, yes I think Heartkit ought to be a darling little tabby she-cat, with fur like my brother's and eyes like mine!" She giggled, pricking her ears in excitement. It wasn't that she wanted more kits, nor did she anticipate find another tom, she had a mild dislike for them now, but the carefree, cheerful conversation send her mind aflutter. "And that little Cardinalkit, I can see him now!" The soft-bellied queen mewed, teal eyes lighting with a youthful flame. "Dark ginger, even darker than yourself, of course. Maybe a little brown to his fur, to cast him that perfect maroon color, now where would you find a tom like that?" She raised her head and peered outside of the den as her brother's scent wafted past, then turned back to Flamingarrow, onyx frame squirming into a better position while her children wailed in protest. Purring, the young she-cat hushed them by swiping her tailtip along their open muzzels, and pressed them to her belly to feed. It appeared that she had no restless trouble-makers like her ginger friend did.

There was a small movement at the entrance of the nursery as the sun was blocked out momentarily. Just a few heartbeats later the sweet smell of herbs wound their way into the senses and heads of the cats. The bringer of these herbs stood in the entrance, her frame showing no trace of her worry or exaustion. As always she stood tall and proud, yet her eyes showed no pride; they reflected only kindness and wisdom, if not a hint of the deep mysteries of StarClan. The power of her position and the whispers of her ancestors were a comfort to the silver and white she-cat in this time of terror and confusion. In this time, it was only her duty that made sense in the world. Carrying her herbs into the den, Stormwind set the bundle down and gave the two queens a kind smile. She knew that both she-cats had experienced harsh pasts, both suffering greatly and scorned because of it. Yet she couldn't just let this bother her; it wasn't a medicine cat's job to judge. Only heal. Gently nosing one of Abyssbird's kits, the medicine cat caught the eyes of both. "Your litters are both beautiful Abyssbird and Flamingarrow. You two should be proud." The she-cat purred, wrapping her tail around her paws as she sat beside the queens. If only to offer a little comfort in this dark world, she would be here. In time, she would have to check on Serenewinter and Darkfog, but new litters were important too.

Letting out a lighthearted chuckle, Flamingarrow murmured a thanks to Stormwind. "That would be amazing, Abyssbird. Utterly gorgeous. Perhaps a somali too!" The young queen whispered to her fellow obsidian queen. Turning her head toward the medicine cat, she provided a small smile to her. "What is it like around camp? Anything happen at the gathering?" She asked, absentmindedly lightly flicking her kits with her tail. Suckling little devil! Stop making so little trouble already. It makes me fear what you'll be like when you're older! Thoughts flying in her head, she was momentarily oblivious to what was happening around her. Clearing her throat once, she focused upon the medicine cat, hoping for news.

At the mention of the Gathering, Stormwind's smile faded for about a heartbeat. She didn't exactly want to talk about what had happened. In fact, she couldn't remember anything good from the meeting. If there had been such news, it had been driven out long ago. Clearing her throat, the she-cat studied her paws before returning her gaze to Flamingarrow. There was no use trying to make it sound better than it was. In fact, she didn't believe that was even possible. "Not good, I'm afraid. Perilstar has announced that he's 'in love' with Vividstar and they are merging their clans. CelestialClan and TempestClan are no more." She stated sadly.
