Falconpaw stopped mid-walk, and twisted his head to look at Flickerpaw. He was really looking forward to hunting with her, but he believed and went by every single word the she-cat said. "So we can't leave camp," the tom stated quietly. "I guess there goes our plans for hunting," he chuckled weakly. Twitching his tail-tip patiently, he thought of other things the two apprentices could do in order to keep occupied. He would go politely ask a warrior to escort them into the...no. That's not private, and he wanted to spend time with Flickerpaw, and only Flickerpaw, not have some warrior nosing about.
"Maybe we could..." the toms voice faltered as he thought of some more options. "Practice battle moves in the clearing?" 'But that may wake some of the remaining warriors in the warriors den,' he thought to himself. "Do you have any ideas?" Falconpaw groaned, not knowing what to di. The were confined to camp, but he didn't mind. If it was the only way for them to be safe, then let it be.

Gradually the spark left her frosty lime green eyes as she realized they truly were unable to leave the camp. The entire lush, green expanse of territory that had been open for exploring and running and laughing and collapsing in exhausted heaps...instead, they got the cramped, stuffy tunnels. She scuffed the dirt with her forepaw resentfully, mind churning to think of alternatives. Nothing came to mind.
Bitterly she shook her head, sad to see Falconpaw was just as crestfallen as her. "I can't think of a thing. But you're right, if there are killers on the loose out there, it's better we stay here..where we're both safe. She was a little ashamed of herself for even considering sneaking out, but nothing seemed too over the top when it came to Falconpaw. Once again she was surprised to hear herself thinking such thoughts, but the more time she spent with him, the more time she came to accept them.
"Oh well, I guess we'll just wait out the storm." she mumbled, letting out a tiny sigh. "It won't be too long before they lift the precautions, and um...I'm pretty happy just to be spending time with you." she shrugged, surprised to find she had been subconsciously leaning closer to his tabby pelt, pulsing with warmth. Abruptly she pulled away, a little embarrassed. [/blockquote]

Falconpaw nodded, listening intently to every word that came out of Flickerpaw's mouth. He continued listening, and when she finished, his disappointment showed clearly through his deep green eyes. "What if they keep up this act?" he asked Flickerpaw quietly, nervous. He enjoyed that she had said she liked spending time with him, and it made Falconpaw's mood brighten. He was instantly confused when her bodice moved slightly away from his. Was she embarrassed to be around him? Thoughts lolled through his mind like wildfire spreading through a forest full of dry leaves in the heart of greenleaf.

Aquapaw padded out of the medicine cat den. She didn't know where Deergrace was, collecting herbs? Aquapaw had been quite bored without her, just sitting in the den and checking the herb piles, making sure they were all there. All they didn't have now was burdock root. What if they needed it? She wanted to go out and get some but there were restrictions to apprentices leaving the camp right now. She kneaded the floor with her paws in impatience, she would only be a little while out there!
She looked around, there weren't really many cats out right now. She expected more to be out here, taking apprentices out of camp and such. There was Falconpaw, Flickerpaw, Coalfur, Pearlmoon and Breakingdawn. Aquapaw sighed, what was she to do?

Falconpaw looked up and saw the white lithe apprentice, with bright blue eyes known as Aquapaw. He rarely spoke to her, but he decided to not be rude. She would, of course, be there in the future healing his wounds, and it would be nice to know he was friends with at least one of the healing cats. Purring, Falconpaw lifted his tail, and beckoned the she-cat over, his green orbs shining in a friendly manner. "Are you looking for someone, Aquapaw?" Falconpaw called out softly across the clearing, the sarcastic smile lessening. He tilted his head, and his ears pricked, waiting for a reply.

A good thing about living in Celestialclan was that you could never be woken by the sun lighting up the den you were sleeping in, and in winter there was no warmer clan to be in. She rolled over onto her back revealing her belly and let out a small squeak. Then she remembered where she was and opened her warm brown eyes, the dark reflected back on them. She found her way easily to the exit to the apprentices den and padded out into the clearing. The gloom that hung over camp just happened to remind her of what had happened and her content expression fell to a glum one all rather abruptly. For some reason she did not feel like she wanted to sit here alone, or talk to her sister, then she saw Aquapaw. Maybe they could become friends? She just felt so alone right now. With Ghoststar's death every corner of camp seemed to feel empty. She padded slowly over to Aquapaw. "Hello Aquapaw." She meowed softly.

Aquapaw looked over to Falconpaw at the other side of the clearing, was he talking to her? Well duh, there werent any other Aquapaws around here were there? Hah! She wondered if she should tell him why she was there, was it really wise to tell him she was so worried about Deergrace not being there? Oh well, nothing likethe truth.
"I-I was just looking if Deergrace was out here, I think she might've gone out of camp though," She called back, looking wistfully at the clans territory around them.
She turned once more as Winterpaw padded out of the apprentices den. She could see that the gloom overhanging the camp had gotten to her too, how would the clan cope? Though Vividstar would be a great leader.
"Hello," Aquapaw replied to Winterpaw.

Falconpaw pondered the thought, and frowned. "Maybe she was just out collecting more herbs, right now, it's better to be safe than sorry," he meowed, tilting his head to the side. "Don't worry, she'll be back," he meowed, and turned around, seeing as Winterpaw had begun to talk to the medicine cat apprentice. He sighed, and began to lick his chest fur roughly, and began kneading the ground. Already, he was itching to leave the camp, but as long as he was safe, he was okay with the rules Vividstar had set. It was for their protection.

Amethystoculi pased around camp board out of her mind. She never got to go on patrols, and she never had anyone to talk to due to her reputation as a slut. No one knew how desparetly she wanted a mate, or at least a friend. Heaving a sigh the slender she-cat flopped down in a shadowy corner of the camp. She let her violet eyes lie unfocused the ground and let her mind drift.

Her paws stood her up straight as her eyes flicked open. Another day. She hadn't dreamed that night, and she didn't really have anything to dream about. All of her dreams were either crushed, or fulfilled. And, most of them were fulfilled. She was a warrior, and she had a long life ahead of her. What. a. dream. She chuckled at her thoughts, and then she walked out of the Warriors Den. Her eyes landed right upon two apprentices talking together. She squinted at them, trying to remember their names. Falconpaw and Flickerpaw, weren't they? Falconpaw was quite the tom, she mentally noted, and then made her way over to them. "Morning, Falconpaw. Flickerpaw. How's the prey running with you two?" she mewed in greeting. "Speaking of prey, the Clan needs some.. Perhaps I can ask Ghost-" her voice caught in her throat and she swallowed. "I mean, Vividstar." she whispered. Fear and a slight edge of grief had crashed over her momentarily. "I'll go see if Vividstar would allow me to take you two kiddies hunting." she meowed with slight cheer. She walked away with a gentle smile on her face, and made her way to Vividstar's den. "Vividstar?" she called into the tunnel in a soft, gentle voice. She put one paw forward into the entrance of it, waiting for her response. She opened her mouth to catch the leader's scent, but it was stale. She turned and walked back over to the two apprentices. "Looks like Vividstar's out and about." she meowed to them, knowing they would be disappointed

Vividstar padded softly and soundlessly through the caves leading to camp, with Nettlescreech close at her paws. Grebewing's scent also remained close to them. She slipped into the dimly lit clearing that they liked to call camp. Her brown orbs narrowed visibly as she scanned the camp. There was no prey, a lot of cats were sitting around and the apprentices all seemed a little lost. She knew she had said that apprentices were not allowed outside of camp without a warrior but there were plenty of warriors around, she more than anyone understood how the loss of Ghoststar meant that a large grey fog of loss and emptiness hung over camp, but they must carry on like any clan would. "Nettlescreech!" She called summoning the warrior she had just been out with. "Why don't you take your apprentice out for some training, the food stock is very low down." She commented then turned away from him. Catching sight of Winterpaw she padded over to the small apprentice. "You could also help out by training or getting new moss for bedding." She meowed softly. Really she was rather angry, but she would get nowhere if she started yelling at everyone. She took a step back and looked around camp. "We need a hunting patrol, quickly." She called out and sat down, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. A new found bitter side of her was taking over, and it was not impressed with what it was seeing. The more work they were doing the easier it would be to move of from the past.

At the sound of her leader arriving back into camp, Foxkiss stood facing towards Vividstar. She noted that the leader didn't look to happy, but seemed to be a little cranky even. She cleared her throat nervously at the thought of walking up to her and asking to take two apprentices out to hunt. She looked back at the apprentices and murmured, "I'll be right back with an answer from her." She took a few steps forward, and then broke into a short sprint her when she called out for a hunting patrol. She stepped up to her, and held her head high with dignity. "Vividstar," she started, cringing when her voice broke. "If I could take Falconpaw and Flickerpaw out on a hunting patrol we could easily get more prey. Especially with two apprentices that are nice and fast. I could even correct their hunting crouches if they are sloppy..." she trailed off, waiting for an answer from the leader.

Falconpaw's ears pricked, his whiskers twitched, and his blood pulsed through his veins. Finally he'd be allowed out of the camp, and to go hunting! He'd love to go with Flickerpaw. A purr of happiness arose deep from within his throat, and the tom smiled. "I'd enjoy going for a hunt, or training...just get out to stretch my legs," he purred. He sighed, looking around the camp. He should have been sad, but he was really only thinking about his training, and of course, Flickerpaw. He kneaded the ground eagerly, his head spinning, all senses alert. They'd be allowed out of camp, but how much longer before they would be allowed out without a warrior?

Aquapaw looked at the camp entrance, when would she be able to go out?! She wanted Deergrace to come back and take her out. It was rubbish being kept in camp all day. The other apprentices would be taken out for hunting, but she would be shut in! She kneaded the ground again, and her bright blue eyes looked around the camp. Unless... Deergrace was in camp! No, she had checked everywhere. Where was she?
Aquapaw sat down beside the tunnel to the medicine cat den. Deergrace must come back soon. She had been gone long enough already! And Aquapaw really wanted to go out...

Vividstar raised her head to look at Foxkiss. She was about to say something when Nettlescreech cut in. "I think it is my job to correct my apprentices hunting crouches." He meowed. So that meant he wanted to go. Two warriors and two apprentices. Vividstar nodded. "Yes all of you may go, come back for sundown though." Ghoststar did not and we all know what happened to her she added to herself. With a dismissive flick of her tail she padded off and slipped into her den, curling up with a grumbling tummy. Oh Ghoststar, where are you? A tear rolled down her fur soundlessly, and she tried to fall asleep, no doubt somebody else would need her for something.
