Swiftstep saw him begin to look uncmfertable. A new idea came into her head. Maybee she outts quit on the flirting for now, and maybe just be friendly for a while. She let her pale yellow eyes follow all his movements, stretching his neck and legs, almost touching that adorable nose of his to the ground."My sleep was fine thank you, how long have you been up?" he asked her, most likley just triyng to be polite. She tried to push the pain that stabbed her heart for no particular reason away and replied."I've just woken up as well thanks.", placing her head back in it's normal position atop her neck.
"I think I might need a hunt, to stretch my legs or wake me up a bit more, wouldn't you?" she asked simply in a friendly manner, the flirty tone gone from her voice. Her yellow eyes were wide with anticipation as she awaited his reply. She found herself staring into his teal eyes, then looked away, embarrassed, and started to count how many times his tail tip twitched back and forth, back and forth. One...Two...Three...

Great. What had he gotten himself into? Hunting? He had just woken up! He loved to hunt, so he couldn't say no. He was torn between two answers and yes and a no. He tipped his head back to the sky to think for a moment. He had to be polite. He wanted more friends, he loved having cats all about the clan that he was able to talk to. I think I might need a hunt, to stretch my legs or wake me up a bit more, wouldn't you? It spoke to him, and whispered through his head, taunting him. It was like a broken record, and he accidentally shook his head, wanting to rid the voice. Fine. He'd go. Wanting to sigh, but sealing his lips, he nodded. "I'd love to go," Tealtide meowed coolly, and yet enthusiastically. He didn't like to upset others by his choices, so most of the time he agreed. He wasn't hep about she-cats, still skittish and nervous around them. He figured once he had a mate, he'd be cool around them, but since he was free of a mate, he felt prone to speak to them sometime. Hunting was almost crossing the imaginary boundary of his willingness around she-cats. He wasn't known the be a flirt, and he found it hard to act himself. He acted too...too...nice. But that would work with she-cats, wouldn't it?
Tealtide let a short breath escape his lips, his liver-colored nose twitching. He stood up wobbly, stretching each leg with ease, arching his back with a grace so lovely, his eyes shining. I'll be fine, thought the tom to himself. I'll be just fine, he thought shakily. But what if you mess up? A taunting voice rang through his head. And make a fool of yourself. She'll never speak to you again, you'll be that guy, the one that screwed up wile hunting. Another voice popped in alongside the taunting voice. This one was calm, and allowed the tom to relax. Now, what nonsense is that? You're a great hunter, the voice seemed to encourage him, and he couldn't help but to allow a small smile to show up on his face. He hated it when his mind spoke to him, but it couldn't be stopped. He shook his head, clearing away the voices, who seemed to be arguing about what he would and could do, and the opposite, the negatives. "Yes, I'll go hunting," meowed Tealtide once more, nodding happily, kneading the ground, his large claws making small curves into the hard ground underfoot. He had to be nice, he couldn't shy away. He was nice to everyone. He had to be. He was raised that way, even if it meant going hunting with a she-cat. She'd become his friend. He loved making new friends, because when he made new friends, the words just flowed out of his mouth, he was comfortable, relaxed, and happy. He didn't like to be unhappy.

ooc- Hope you don't mind me posting here. I also hope this isn't too short D=
Fawnpaw yawned and stood up to stretch. Her light brown pelt looked darker from the surroundings of the apprentices den. Fawnpaw sighed and stood up and peeked her head outside and smiled. She flicked her ears at sounds of near voices;
"I think I might need a hunt, to stretch my legs or wake me up a bit more, wouldn't you?" "Yes, I'll go hunting,"
Fawnpaw exited the apprentices den fully and padded quickly to Tealtide and Swiftstep. She hadn't gotten a chance to talk to any of the clan yet, so this would be a good experience for her. Do you mind if I come? Fawnpaw chirped. She sat down her lightbrown tail swishing back and forth a different rythim then Tealtides, she looked at the group with her milky brown eyes almost looking like a plea. She was usually up for anything, even if it was dangerous. This trait had come from her father, while she had a only a little bit of her mothers delicacy.

Swiftstep saw his hesitation and her spirit dampened. They couldn't even be friends? But her ears pricked when he answered, twice to be exac, that he would love to go hunting! She must of looked like a kit, her tail waving back and forth, her eyes widening with excitment. Oh she was so excited! "Well then lets get going shall we?" she asked but then died off as another cat came to their small gathering. It was Fawnpaw, one of the new apprentices. Swiftstep loved younger cats, and hoped that one day if she ever found a true mate she would have many little kittens. Fawnpaw asked if she may come along. Swiftstep shot Tealtide a glance out of the corner of her eye.
"Well I for one don't see why not, but you better ask Tealtide here to make sure it's all right with him. We can try to teach you a couple things can't we Tealtide?" she spoke lightheardtedly. She twitched her tail a few more times as she waited for her new friends reply. She hoped he would let Fawnpaw come along, she liked teaching cats how to hunt and ifhgt and currently had no apprentice of her own.

Aquapaw glared at Swifstep as she made her greeting then promptly ignored her. What rudeness! That was no way to treat a fellow clan member! She would never treat anyone like that. Yes, Swiftstep was a warrior and generally had more power than Aquapaw at the moment. But that was no excuse. She nodded to Grebewing as goodbybe. She walked off from her, Swiftstep and Tealtide.
She was maybe overacting, she could just be like this from Deergrace missing, but she had one thing to look forward to. She was going to be a medicine cat! That would be great, and she would be able to help her clan more! That included Swiftstep, but she would be the better cat...

She had actually been caught dozing off, that Grebewing. The tortoiseshell jerked awake when she heard Swiftstep speaking, blinking and then shaking her head to come to attention. She grunted a hello and then flicked her gaze over to Tealtide and then Fawnpaw when she showed up, nodding when Aquapaw left. She smiled at the young cat and then stood up, making her way forward.
"Sorry about that. I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention," Grebewing confessed with a small grin. The martial tortie stretched until she heard her spine pop and then her shoulders do the same. The handsome femme smiled at Tealtide kindly but turned to Swiftstep with somewhat of a brow raise. This one was odd, that was for sure.
"If hunting's the game, then surely you won't mind me coming along, eh? I caught some kill earlier but my limbs are up for some more." The deputy chuckled and fell in line with the tom, towering over him a bit.

Fawnpaw. One of the newer apprentices. It all happened quite quickly, and by the time he had resumed listening, Swiftstep had asked him to give a decision. A decision of what, he did not know, so he decided to guess. "Yes, Fawnpaw, you could come hunting with us," he meowed quietly, nodding once more. "You're more than welcome, the more the merrier, yes?" he asked. He hoped he didn't look like a complete fool. Then came Grebewing, the deputy. He nodded, and formally greeted his leader, raising his right paw, dipping his head so his nose nearly touched his paws, and then her regained his sitting position, smiling. "Hello, Grebewing," Tealtide meowed. She had asked to go hunting with them. That seemed appropriate. "Like I mentioned earlier, the more the merrier," purred the tom, happy that the clan would receive much more prey than normal circumstances. "And it's probably better to go out in a bigger group than usual," he meowed, cringing at what he had said, and how true it seemed at the time. "But, yes, we'll receive much more prey, lovely," meowed the tom, smiling calmly. His teal hues swept the clearing, and he got ever-so slowly to his paws, stretching his forepaws in front of him, and arching his back. When he was satisfied, he gave a twitch of his tail, and stepped forward. "Ready to go?" he asked with a purr.

Grebewing nodded in affirmation. "I am," she said huskily. The massive tortoiseshell quickly assigned some warriors to watch the camp while both she and Vividstar were out. Telling one where she was going in case something happen, the tortie then headed back over to the others with a broad mischievous smile. "Let's head out then."
Her footsteps thundered on the ground like an aged warhorse as she galloped out of camp toward the terra, the wind running gracefully through her hair.

Tealtide gave the warrior and apprentice hunting with him a quick nod, and began to work his way toward the exit of the camp. His eyes shone happily, and his paws began to thrum the ground in an even beat, his heart rate increasing. He skidded to a stop just outside the camp, and waited for the others patiently, his hues sweeping over their territory. It was a beautiful day, a cool breeze blowing, the little snow that was on the ground was disappearing, and the sun was shining, but was slowly beginning to make it's way down to the horizon. It would be dark soon, seeing as it was still Leaf-bare and the bright round ball didn't stay up as long as it did on warmer, new-leaf and green-leaf days. TeALTiDE TO TeRRa

Swiftstep narrowed her eyes as Grebewing asked to come along. Oh that too-good for herself deputy! Swiftstep pushed out her lo0vley white chest and was about to answer no wqhen Tealtide answered for her...the wrong answer. 'The more the merrier!' he said, bouncing off to the camp entrance. Oh how the jelousy stirred up inside her, boiling and bubbling. She told herself to calm down. Tealtide had looked at the deputy in no other way then theway he looekd at her...sadly. She glared at Grebewing once more through narrow slits before following. She 'accidently' caught her paw in a rabbit hole, and let out a soft yelp.
"Ouch! Oh my paw..." she murrmered softly, her yellow eyes full of pleading as she looekd at the cats around her. She let her gaze rest on Tealtide for a moment longer before it drifted to Fawnpaw."Oh somebody help me out of this retched hole please!" she bwhinned like a kit wanting her mother. But they had gone, and she sighed, yanking herself up out of the hole...cleaning her fur quickly before limping after them.

no, no, no, nothings wrong with dreaming go, go, go, dream it all away one love one life thats enough to get you through the night tomorrow's gonna be a brighter day
Citrusflower let yet another sneeze escape her, then began to choke on a tickling deep down in her throat as she left the warriors den for the first time in a long time. She couldn't sleep, she was kept up by the coughing and sneezing, and she was sure she had kept many other warriors up rather late too. She sniffed softly and began to make her way towards the medicine cat's den. "Deergrace?" She sniffed at first. However the medicine cats scent was stale, just great. "Aqua...." She sneezed loudly, "paw!" The warrior called between sniffs. The herbs Deergrace had given her days ago had been no help at all, now as she lay down in a fresh bed of moss she rested her nose on her paws. She couldn't even tell she was in the medicine cats den as she could not smell the herbs any longer.

Aquapaws ears twitched as she head her name being called, who was that? She was unhappy to hear it was not Deergrace, but because it wasn't, it must be someone who needed her. She padded over to her den and poked her nose in, Citrusflower? She didn't look so good, no wonder she had gone in there. Aquapaw pushed her way inside and sat infront of Citrusflower, looking for her symptoms.
"Citrusflower," She said, after a moment, "I think you may have Whitecough, wait a moment."
Citrusflowers sniffs told her it was definatly a chill or whitecough. But she couldn't be sure unless she had a fever. She leant towards Citrusflowers paw and gently turned it over, she rested her nose againt the pad for a minute, feeling the head that radiated off it. It was quite hot. Normally with a chill the cat would go through cold chills. This was most probably whitecough.
She turned towards the back of the den and looked through the herbs she had. Would she be allowed to go out to collect herbs for Citrusflower? Vividstar couldn't really say no to that could she? Though Vividstar had gone out... She turned back to Citrusflower.
"Citrusflower, you have to stay in here for a bit, untill you get better. So you can get better and no other cats get ill. If you need any more moss, theres some just behind the nest your in now. And if you need anything else call for me." Aquapaw looked towards the exit of the den, "I will go and get you some fresh kill,"

Vividstar hurried back to camp, she wouldn't have much time before she left ot take Aquapaw to meet with Starclan and recieve her medicine cat name, really it should be Deergrace who should be doing this, but due to her absence, Vividstar would have to do instead. She slipped out of a tunnel and looked around her, then she noticed the state of her pelt, goodness! "Aquapaw." She called and plopped down and began to quickly groom her pelt, she had picked up so much dirt! Who would have thought that you could pick up so much dirt travelling....no, she would not think it, not yet. At the gathering everyone would know and it would all be out in the open, but for now it must remain a secret. Drawing her tongue over and over her pelt she chocked on some of her fur a couple of times, but overall managed to clean up well. Thank Starclan for that. How on earth could she take a medicine cat apprentice to get her medicine cat name in that state? She snorted very softly and looked around her. "Aquapaw?" She called again. They would need some herbs for travelling.

Aquapaw returned to her den with some fresh kill. She placed it next to Citrusflower. What would she do? She couldn't go out as she was still an apprenice so far. She couldn't search for any more herbs... She was pondering over this when she heard a voice calling her name. She wondered who it was. Wasn't she busy enough? Actually, no. She still could do more but at the same time.. lots of things she couldn't. She sighed and poked her head out of her den. It was Vividstar.
She turned to Citrusflower slightly. "Citrusflower," She said soflty, "Stay in here if you can, eat and keep warm. I have to go,"
She slid herself out of the entrance and walked towards Vividstar. Her fur looked slightly ruffled. What had she been doing? Hunting? Whatever it was Aquapaw wouldn't pry, she knew better. She wondered also what Vividstar must want now.
"Yes, Vividstar?" She asked.
