Rapid pawsteps announced the quick approach of her target, and Sparrowflight's tail waved in amusement as she released the rabbit and dropped into a crouch. Whispercloud appeared out of the tall grass, and mewed in confusion, "What?" At that moment, Sparrowflight bunched her muscles, narrowed her eyes, and sprang silently towards him, claws sheathed and eyes sparkling with mischief. "Mrrow!" she yowled as she flew towards him.

Whispercloud nearly had the life scared out of him when Sparrowflight jumped on him; he rolled onto his belly and stared at his friend. “What was that for?” He snapped, but it was playful. He wriggled from out of her grasp, and hit her playfully on her head. He wondered where this playfulness had come from, it was uncharacteristic. He narrowed his eyes a bit, and looked at her. ”Are you okay?” He asked, curious as to why she decided to pounce on him. He realized his eyes were still opened wide. Embarrassed, he closed them a bit, and continued to stare at her.

Sparrowflight sprang off Whispercloud, landing lightly on her small paws. "Don't hiss at me!" she snapped, sitting abruptly down and giving him an only partly-serious glare. "You're the one that's been as grumpy as an old badger all day. I was just trying to cheer you up." And, with that, she swatted at his ears and grabbed her rabbit from hiding. "What have you cauht so far?" she mewed to change the subject. ((wow...sorry. I'm pretty muse-less right now x.x))

((OOC: It's ok. ^^)) BIC: Whispercloud let out a 'mrrr' in amusement, and nodded at his friend. "I wasn't mad, fuzzball." He purred. (I USE FUZZBALL D<!!) JHe recoiled just in time to avoid being swat on the ears, and he tried to do the same to her, smiling.
"I have a small pile of fresh kill over there." He pointed to beyond the bushes, and realized a predator might have eaten it. His ears pricked in annoyance and he raced to see. Relief went through his as he saw he'd be able to feed his clan. Picking up part of his pile, he went to show her. He went back for the other half soon after.
He stretched, and tilted his head. "Hey, what do you wanna do now?" He mewed through fresh kill. He was eager to go put this on the fresh kill pile so that he could have the rest of the day to goof off with Sparrowflight. Whispercloud looked at the sky, and smiled.

Sparrowflight waited silently as Whispercloud brought back his freshkill. Gathering her own, she pointed her nose in the direction of the camp and mewed, "Lessgo put onff fresshkillff pilef," she mewed around her mouthful of prey. "I'mff humphry." She didn't wait for him to reply, but instead set off at an easy lope toward the camp.
Scrawny as she was, Sparrowflight found she had trouble carrying all her prey at once. It dragged her down, and although she was tall, the rabbit was brushing against the ground. Sparrowflight paused, hissing insults at herself as she readjusted her prey. Glancing behind her toward Whispercloud, she hoped he hadn't seen. Narrowing her eyes and squaring her shoulders, she picked the prey back up and determined to make it the whole way without stopping again.

Whispercloud nodded and dragged his fresh kill along. It was kinda hard but he managed. He stifled a laugh as he saw what Sparrowflight did. Determined cat, He joked mentally. He couldn't wait to get back into the warrior's den and sleep, it was getting late. He started to go faster towards the camp, and when he made it, he gave a small squeek of relief.
Putting his fresh kill on the pile, he raced over to Sparrowflight. "Want some help?" He offered, and not wanting to offend her, he stepped back and waited for her to answer.

Sparrowflight watched as Whispercloud moved ahead of her. Cursing her inability to put on weight, she set her eyes to the camp and moved with a determined step; she would not put this prey down one more time! Whispercloud came back, and as she watched him approach, she was almost sure of what he would say. Curses, I have to put it down now! she thought angrily, dropping the prey to hiss, "I can do it! I'm as much of a warrior as anyone else." She glared at him fiercely, but she was not so angry at him as she was at her own size and incompetence. Oh, yes, she was a fine hunter, but could she get her own prey back to the camp? Not without more trouble than a puny kit! She growled at herself and snatched the prey back up, then bounded forward with as much strength as she could muster. She dropped the prey on the pile and flopped down on the ground, crossing her forepaws and resting her chin on top. Having done this, she took to glowering at thin air.
((Oh, she's just a bit grumpy now She'll get over it))

Whispercloud rolled his eyes when Sparrowflight hissed at him. He trotted alongside her, refusing to be ignored. When he saw how tired she was, He brushed his tail across her flank in affection. ”You ok?” He asked, worry in his eyes.
Now why would I be worried, she’s just tired, after all. He thought to himself as he looked at her. The answer was obvious, after all. But not to the tom, he just stood there, wondering. Only after he had stared at her continuously did he realize what he was doing, he looked away in embarrassment. ((OOC: Hehe))

Sparrowflight lifted her eyes to glare at Whispercloud. "I'm fine," she muttered, drawing herself to her paws and stretching. She narrowed her eyes as he continued to stare at her, and finally she snapped, "What? You are the one who doesn't seem okay. Why do you keep spacing out like that?" It sort of reminded her of her strangely vivid dreams, where she could be seen wandering the camp, eyes open, but completely asleep. But...Whispercloud didn't seem to be sleeping. She glanced down at her fur, wondering if she had managed to attract even more burrs during their hunting excursion. Well, yes, there were a few prickly burrs stuck in her chest fur, but not enough to induce staring. What was going on today?

Whispercloud's bottled annoyance and anger just exploded when she snapped at him. "CAN YOU STOP IT?!" His fur was bristling in fury. "MAYBE YOU SHOULD WAKE UP, AND REALIZE THAT SOMEBODY CARES ABOUT YOU!!!" He swiped her on her head and dashed off toward the camp gates, hissing at any cats that looked at him.
Once he was beyond the gates, he sat down, annoyed and scraping at the earth furiously. "Stupid... fuzzball.." His anger was dying, but he was still extremely annoyed. He looked down at his paws, and sighed. He heard a twig snap behind him and snarled, "Who's there?!" ((OOC: .. ))

Sparrowflight's eyes widened in surprise, and she sprang backwards as Whispercloud lunged at her. What was WRONG with him? She stared after him in amazement as he raced out of the camp, and when he was gone, she sat in stunned silence. "Stupid, crazy furrball," she muttered under her breath, glaring after him. Her own pride wouldn't let her run after him, so instead she slunk back into the warrior's den, hoping to fall asleep before he returned. Otherwise, she might just pretend to be asleep.
((I'm gonna bring Coyotesong in, okay?))
A sleek brown tomcat was padding into camp when the gray form of Whispercloud came bursting out. The warrior hissed at him before disappearing beyond the gates, and Coyotesong stared after him in confusion. He knew Whispercloud could sometimes be a surly cat, but something really must be bugging him. With a longing glance at the freshkill pile, the cheerful young warrior gave up his dinner for the time being and snuck after the upset warrior, following the scent until he came across Whispercloud. His hind paw snapped a stray twig, and Coyotesong flinched at the resounding crack. The sound did not go unnoticed, and Coyotesong's gray eyes watched Whispercloud as he snarled. "It's me, Coyotesong," he mewed, trotting into the open with his tail high. "You seem a bit annoyed."
Oh yes, he knew Whispercloud. When he was a kit, Coyotesong had sprung onto Whispercloud's tail more than any other warrior's, because Whispercloud has the most dramatic responses and it had amused the happy, mischeivous kit. Well, Sparrowflight had always had a nice and angry reaction too, so really the two had been tied for favorites. However, now that he was a bit older, Coyotesong did not enjoy seeing cats so upset. "What's wrong, Whispercloud?"

Whispercloud let himself calm down, and looked at the brown tom. Sighing, he looked up at him, his eyes full of pain. "It's Sparrowflight... she's making me crazy!" He yelled, staring at the sky now. "No, it's not that she's annoying. She's one of the few cats I can tolirate... but... I never knew I had these feelings for her, and It's driving me insane!" His eyes opened wide as he realized what he had just said, and then thought what was done, was done. He closed his eyes and tried to remember the first time he thought of her that way...
"Sparrowflight! Sparrowflight!" The cats of the clan were chanting the new warrior's name, and Whispercloud was never so proud of her. He brushed her flank affectionately, and whispered, "Good job." That night when she sat vigil... he couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she was...
His eyes snapped open, and he realized he must have annoyed her, or worse. Hurt her. He looked at Coyotesong and shot him a look . He sprang off toward the camp, and went to the warrior's den. He saw she was asleep... or trying to be. Her breathing was irregular. "Sparrowflight..."

Coyotesong listened quietly, and his pale gray eyes watched as Whispercloud seemed to go into a strange trance. Coyotesong was too young to remember anything about Whispercloud mentoring Sparrowflight, and he had never noticed that Whispercloud had any feelings like that for the other cranky warrior. This was all so exciting! But, Whispercloud bounded away before he could ask anymore questions, leaving Coyotesong to contemplate the strange emotions he sensed in the warrior.
Soft pawsteps entered the dim warrior's den, and Sparrowflight closed her eyes as she set her breathing to be slow, steady, and sleep-like. Whispercloud spoke, and she meant to ignore him, but her ears flicked forward at his words...so there was no way he would believe she was asleep. Growling softly, she sat up and looked at the gray warrior. "I thought we already talked about this," she muttered, the tip of her tail flicking uneasily. "I told you that I have no idea how I feel about you, besides you being the best friend I've ever had. Can't you accept that, at least for a few days?"

Whispercloud started to laugh uncontrollably, and started at her. "Yes, you fuzzball. I was wondering if you were mad at me!" He explained, chuckling delightedly. His (fuzzy) tail touched her head, then left. He smiled at his friend. "Also, I don't mean to be rude, but you're a terrible actress." He mewed teasingly, and went to lay down in a bed of moss beside her. He closed his eyes, and drifted away. ((OOC: It's like THE NEXT DAY! xDDD))

A patch of sunlight struck the small warrior's eyelids, and she blinked her pale green eyes opened. Rising slowly to her paws, she yawned and stretched, arching her back until her muscles quivered, then sat down and began to groom her ruffled fur. Glancing around the den, she saw Whispercloud sleeping a few tail-lengths away, among other warriors of ZephyrClan. All of the previous day's activities came rushing back to her, and she glanced at Whispercloud again, this time to see if he was awake. Her dreams had been plagued by him, walking beside her through the forest as he'd always done, glancing at her with his strange, lovely blue eyes. Snapping at her when she made stupid mistakes in training, and teaching her to use her small, scrawny body to fight with speed and cunning rather than brute muscle strength. Standing beside her at her warrior ceremony. He'd always been there for her. She didn't think she was in love with him...at least, not yet. Not completely. Maybe sometime, but not...yet. Would he accept that?
Well, the sooner he gets up, the sooner I'll know, she thought with a shrug. She stood up and padded over to her slumbering friend, then crouched down to hiss in his ear, "Wake up, your lumbering badger." She sprang around to his other side and caught his tail between her teeth, biting down hard to give him an extra jolt.
