Watching him writhe and squirm and moan like an injured kitten was sickly enjoyable, even for a 'soft' clan cat like herself, and she wanted to grin cruely at the unconscious jet tom, but had this feeling that if she did anything of the sort he would instantly wake up and spy her acting so smug over watching him have nightmares, become enraged, and kill her. Though, why go through all the hassle of kiddnapping just to end up slaughtering her? Over the past few minutes, while Shard slept, quite restlessly at that, her mind had finally begun to work, and instead of being frozen in anguish like a fated deer in front of a monster, the pretty Delirium prisoner had began to think. No, escape wasn't th way, but of course, rescue was improbable. It was a frank fact that no one in CelestialClan knew her, let alone cared whether she was forcibly mated with a double score times over and then brutally slaugh'tered or not. At that, she doubted they would even notice she was gone, not until her mangled body was strategically splayed upon clan lands, which she had no doubt this Shard character would do with her body once he was finished with her fertility. So how could she get out of it? Well perhaps she couldn't at all. She would pray to StarClan and then, when she finally died from this torture, she would live with them once more, and all their noble ways and codes. She's rest beside Ghoststar and finally be with Torchblade again, assuming he didn't hate her for the sorrow she put him through. Knowing her absolutely supreme luck, he would never speak to her though. Shard was awakening. Lovely. Turning to glance at his massive, looming frame that now towered over her as he rose, she stared blankly at her paws. hutning or fighting? Well if she answered fighting then he would make her kill cats, duh. "H-hunting." He would believe that, right? After all, she was dainty and slender, and really, it was truthful. She wasn't really much of a fighter and probably never would be.

Sombrepaw looked at Silvercresent. The she-cat was larger than her, so how could she attack her? The only way really would to try to be light on her feet, and if Silvercresent attacked her back, try to move back. She observed her mentor carefully, wondering how she would react to her. Silvercresent probably wouldn't be easy on her, but easier than most clan cats in a real battle.
Sombrepaw dived at her mentor, like she was going to pounce on her back, but at the last minute she slid underneath her. She didn't flip over and scratch her mentors belly, but pushed up with her hindlegs, trying to flip Silvercresent over.

Silvercrescent watched carefully as Sombrepaw leaped toward her. She hadn't expected the she-cat to slide under her, but she wasn't completely surprised. As the apprentice pushed upward, Silvercrescent pushed down. This caused her to spring upward, but to keep her balance. Gracefully the warrior landed a couple of tail lengths, her moment of flying done. Without pausing for a moment the she-cat turned and leaped toward Sombrepaw, aiming for the exposed flanks with sheathed claws. Perhaps later in the battle they would get more intense, but not now.

Sombrepaw was okay that Silvercresent had avoided that, she shoudl have throught of the before she had gone through with it. But now that Silvercresent was leaping towards her, it was no time to think about it. She had left her flanks exposed and had to act quickly or she would be hit. She noted that her mentor had her claws sheathed, for now anyway.
She reared up onto her hind legs, but tried to keep light upon them. She moved back slightly and as Silvercresent came towards her Sombrepaw pushed her slightly out of the way. She got quickly back down and within seconds was leaping towards Silvercresents back.

Silvercrescent felt a flash of grim satisfaction as the she-cat pushed her away. Sombrepaw had been practicing, but she was slightly careless at times. Just like Silvercrescent had been when she was her age. Back when life was happier.[/b] She thought briefly. For a few moments, she saw a small silver kit running around with it's playmates, happy and free. Then, fast as a rabbit, the memory was replaced with the sight of Sombrepaw leaping toward her. Rearing up to meet the she-cat, the warrior began to batter at her face with brown paws.

The flame colored tom yowled as a slightly smaller, yet more muscular tom attacked him. He bared his teeth and yowled fending the tom cat off with claws outstretched. Torchblade was a pretty nasty piece of work, a tom you would not want to mess with. Being a rogue for so long had only made him stronger and tougher. Leaving Tempestclan thinking he was dead was a good idea, he did not have them coming after him, best of all his sister, and he had that Breakingdawn to make feel deeply guilty. He had a history with the clans, he was born into Tempestclan along with his adorable sister that everyone loved, including herself. It made him sick inside, she was the one who got all the attention. Then he met a beautiful she-cat in Celestialclan, she actually gave him attention, saw him as something more than he really was, and oh they fell in love. Forbidden by Starclan, but they still did. That was until she left him then he had nothing again. Spilling his blood he had layed on his territory for his clan mates to find him dead, after they had the message he turned and fled to become a rogue. He could not live in that forest as long as Breakingdawn was. Swiftly dodging a blow to the face he tripped the tom up with his tail and drove his claws into the toms throat, and just like that he was dead. Hearing someone coming he sharply turned around.
---------------
Shard was just about to comment when he heard fierce yowls coming from nearby. "Excuse my rudeness m'lady." He purred venomously and raced off to see what all the fuss was about. However he reached the scene when all the action seemed to be over, a recognized face was lying, dead, and an unfamiliar one standing over him. Shard narrowed his eyes. "Name yourself, oh wise wanderer." He hissed through his teeth. It didn't take him long to discover the tom's name was Torchblade, and he was impressive, at least his skills were. It took some skills to be able to kill a Delirium cat, that warrior would need replaced. "Walk with me." He told the tom and so they did. The tom was very tall in height, but rather lean and ragged looking, they could always sort him out. "You killed my warrior, and he will need replacing at these harsh times. Where do your loyalties lie tom?" He asked sharply. By this time they were back under sheltered cover, near where he had left Breakingdawn. "I am loyal to myself." Shard's eyes widened slightly. Bold too. It didn't take him long to decide that this tom was worthy. "Well now you have met me, and I offer you a place among us. And well if you don't fill it, you owe me a life." The large black tom cat chuckled. He really had little choice. It was life... or death. His fangs glinted in the light as his maw parted a little.

Sombrepaw smiled as Silvercresent reared up. As she started to batter her face, Sombrepaw leapt sonce more at her underbelly, that was faced towards her. She pushed as hard as she could, if this was a real fight her claws would be unsheathed. But for right now they weren't. Maybe she could push her mentor over, it was worth a try.

Silvercrescent smiled as she felt her paws land on flesh. The intricate dance moves that dictated fighting swirled the pair around in their own world. It was something she loved, something she knew her heart beat for. The pure joy of fighting spread through her, causing her to strike faster than before. The she-cat had forgotten that her belly was exposed by this move. Silently cursing under her breath, she began to feel off-balanced as the apprentice collided with her midsection. The weight of the apprentice and the force of her leap were hard to fight off. Try as she might, she could not keep from falling onto her back. The ground was harder than she expected. It left her winded, but only momentarily. Still seeing her apprentice on her, she pushed out with all four paws, trying to get Sombrepaw off and away.

Her head was absolutely throbbing, this clan was ridiculous! "Rude? You? Never," Her soft, delicate voice was inaudible, especially as she spoke after he left. Oh how terrifying that would be for him to have heard that remark. She nearly chuckled at that scenario, it would bring a quick death, that was for sure at least. It was apparent that this big fellow had quite the good amount of anger sustaining issues. There, really, was nothing worse than an easily enraged tom, and especially one with power. Blinking as he darted past her, Breakingdawn spun to take several cautious steps to the edge of his den. He heard the anguished screeched as well, but really had no interest in more blood-battles. More than likely it was a couple of his idiot warriors killing each other, not that she minded that one bit. Letting out a squeak, she backed up, stumbled to the very back wall of it and crouching. Shard was using that silky growl, obviously not a good thing, and there was someone else with him. A tom, she could tell by the voice, that odd, distantly memorable voice. Yes, yes she had heard that husky lullaby from somewhere before, but no. Not as.. disgusting. This was a sick, malicious voice; she hated it. But, there he was. Yes, it was him. It was even.. mistakable, and Breakingdawn would recognize the love of her life from any distance away, it hardly took a second glance to remember. "Torchblade!" She cried, a once-foreign looking haze of pure love clouding her round golden eyes as she jumped up and ran to him. That massive, nimble golden-ginger pelt of his, long limbs and handsome, caring face. He was rougher now. She didn't understand any of this at all, she didn't want to. No longer 'hating' that voice, she only wanted to be with him, here, forever. Pressing her face into his rough pelt, Breakingdawn sighed in his rich scent, now infused with that of blood and evil; she hardly cared.

Already Torchblade was unsure of this tom, he was strong and almost instantly demanded his respect, he wasn't sure that he liked that. He wasn't sure that he liked that at all. He let out a low growl and lashed his tail. He would not be ordered around by this tom he barley knew. However, he seemed to be used to this amount of respect from other cats, what was so special about him anyway? "I am a loner, I live on my own, however since you have made me such a kind offer then I will take my time to consider it, I will stay for a few days, give your ways a try, see how I fit in, if I like it I will stay, if I don't, I am sure I can find another tom's life to tra...." He was in the middle of saying when he heard his name being called from behind. The voice was familiar? He couldn't tell, but they knew him clearly. Turning around, all he could see was a blur of brown fur, until the moment slowed and his eyes got a grip of things. The first thing he noticed was the scent. It was her scent, so strong, so pure, so beautiful, it had been so long, but yet he could remember it in a heart beat. Then he noticed her lucid yellow eyes, round with love. Then he took a moment to take everything in, it was actually her she was here. He could barley believe it, even though her presence has totally surrounded him. "Breakingdawn." He sighed with relief and love and moved forward to touch his nose to her shoulder. Her scent was so strong now it was almost overwhelming, yet it was real and she was here and she loved him, she would take him back! Then he sharply moved away eyes growing round. His beautiful she-cat, why was she here? "Why are you here? Why aren't you in Celestialclan?" He asked sharply. Safe he added silently. He sucked in a breath and turned to the black tom. "I will be here as long as she is." He told him. His tail hung protectively over her shoulder. What was going on?
-----------
Torchblade clearly did not know who he was, and clearly had not heard of him before, yet he held a warrior name. A name that the cats of the clans used. However, there was no time to ask questions as he watched the scene unfold before him. This could get interesting. It was easy to see they were in love. He wrinkled his nose. How horrible. They were in love like Phantomcry and Scarletsnow, like Eclipseomen and Anubis had been, and maybe just what he and Vixen could have been. This angered him and he growled deeply. "Actually Breakingdawn is here as a prisoner for fertility purposes. I am sorry for being rude, I am known as Shard around here and I am in charge of this band of hooligans. You may not realize this but on a single command neither of you would be leaving here alive." He hissed his tail lashed. Then he took a breath and sighed. "Torchblade, you will stay and become a warrior among us since you wish to be with her, you can take her on as your mate if you wish, but she is your responsibility now, do with her what you will, but I expect good strong kits for Delirium, for that is what we are called." He told them with a stern voice. "Try to run away, an you will regret it." He told them, then sat down, watching the two with narrowed eyes. "You seem a respectable tom Torchblade, I am sure once you show your worthy of our trust you will fit right in, and of course your lady friend." He meowed. His voice was thick, and demanding. Not one you would wish to question.

Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade Torchblade This was so utterly uncomprehendable, and as his scent began to flood through her being, Breakingdawn's mind, once more, began to turn and crank. The gears spun and she looked down to his blood-covered paws. Those paws of which had touched her so tenderly, the love shining in his round eyes, used to, at least. Now. Now she was just so scared to meet his gaze, what if it changed? She would cry. She would crumple up and sob, and die. She'd die, she wouldn't even mind if that look of his had changed into some brute look of disgust. But, she mustered the courage as he spoke once more. He.. didn't hate her? She deserved it though, she could have ran off with him. They could have been so happy together, it's not like CelestialClan would notice, or care, anyway. Instead she'd chosen her stupid, stupid clan and he had, supposedly, killed himself in anguish. Shivering, she looked up, not wanting to answer. Well, she did. She wanted to scream everything that was happening, but she let Shard explain in his mock-courtious manner and finally met Torchblade's eyes. Overwhelmed, she stumbled back, golden eyes widening, "Run!" She mouthed. Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. Shard couldn't make him stay here! Her breathing became shallow, even more than she wanted him here with her, she wanted him away, further away than imaginable. No!

He could feel the space around them getting tighter, his freedom vaporizing before his very eyes. He brought Breakingdawn a little closer and met Shard's gaze with a proud and defensive glare. He was not scared. "Like I said before, I will stay for a few days and see how I like it, if not I will find you two respectable cats to take our places." He told Shard in a level tone. He would not be intimidated now, he would stick to his decision. He had always been strong willed and competitive. Shard had picked the wrong cat to mess with, or had he picked Shard to mess with? Either way his happy life as a loner had been cut short, and brought to a halt with this. But it would be ok, it would be better, he had Breakingdawn now. She was his, and maybe as long as there were here, together, she would love him and she would not put her clan first or even think on it. Little shreds of hope tingled deep within him. "Excuse me." He meowed and began to steer Breakingdawn away from Shard. "How on earth did you end up here?" He asked the tabby she-cat.
----------
Shard's eyes narrowed as he watched the tom. But I want you, not some half assed lazy mouse brain. His tail lashed a couple of times. The tom had clearly never heard of him before, and now that he had, he was still as bold and calm as ever, if this carried on he might need to be taught a lesson. Of course cats could do their own things, but not without their respect for him. He was not too happy about the tom dismissing them himself but he just growled and flicked his tail. "Get out of my sight." He hissed sharply. Turning away from the two he moved out into the moor where his clan rested, well some of them worked. His eyes dodged to the sky and back, it would be a full moon, a gathering. He snorted lightly. Did he want to know what they were doing? About which of their kits got stolen. NOT FINISHED

Soul watched as Toxicpaw approached him. At least his apprentice didn't mess up. At least he had respect like he should, for him and for Shard. Levelheaded and intelligent, silent and deadly. More like one who would snipe from afar at his enemies, staying hidden and out of sight, instead of going out there and slashing away at the front line. There were a couple ways to live life, but only a few to live it to its fullest. To be truly happy you had to do things your way, yet following others, staying with the group. Alone one would be powerless, but where there were more, there was power. That was why fish would swim in schools and wolves hunt in packs. The more artillery, the more firepower.
And now there were more kits, and scrawny ones. Eh, he'd have to help them for now, but if they died any later on, that would just prove that the kits were sickly weaklings from the start.
After a bit of mulling over, which actually took much longer than he would expect, the Healer had decided what to do. For now he would beckon Toxicpaw over in, flicking his tail towards his den. Then, he would call out to the apprentice, who was now on his hands. He would have to teach Toxicpaw, not only in the art of being a healer, but enjoying the rank, getting used to the job.
“Alright, Toxicpaw, come with me.”
Whether Toxicpaw liked it or not, he had the makings of a healer. It was not destiny that made him one, it was his mindset, the way he thought. The healer would walk into his den, hoping that the apprentice would follow him inside, where he could talk and show him which herbs to take to her. Later he would teach him how to add deathberries in ample amounts while not letting it be known that whatever the cat was eating had been poisoned. Once they were both inside, he would talk quietly to the apprentice, who could one day be a healer.
“I know you might not want to be a healer, but listen to me, it’s far better than you think. You will know more than all the others, they are like clay in your hands once they become wounded or sick. You will have power. Not everyone can be a healer, they don’t have the memory ability to remember all the herbs, or remember where to find them. This is a chance for you.”
Then, the white tome would pick through his herbs, picking out the sweet smelling borage. This would be helpful, for it would give the nursing warrior more milk to feed the scrawny, malnourished kits, giving the small newborns a chance to live. Now he would lay it at the apprentice’s feet, so that he could later take it to the mother of the kits. But first, he would have to educate his apprentice. Apprentices were much more work than many would expect, and Soul had never wanted one, but he knew he would have to have one eventually.
“This is Borage, it will make the one who is nursing give more milk. Take it to Persephone, will you. Hopefully it will be enough to feed the kits and get them in better shape.”

Sombrepaw was delighted that it had worked, she had actually got Silvercresent over! It wasn't long till Silvercresent started pushing her off though. Just before she got pushed, Sombrepaw tried a few, unsheathed, blows at her mentors underbelly. She finally got pushed and rolled into the grass. She stood up and silently looked at Silvercresent. Would she attack first now?
