Toxicpaw was just crouching, ready for his next chase, after already catching one rabbit, but the yowls of a she-cat scared it off and he cursed under his breath. Then he realized whom it must be, Persephone giving bitch. Grabbing his rabbit he dashed from the shadows, already the size of a full grown tom at only apprentice age, he dashed across the territory and made his was towards the noise. He had no intention of being a healer, but he had a strange connection with herbs, he liked them, best of all he liked playing with them. He had almost killed one of his kin at a very young age with them, he would of if Soul had not been there. No, he wanted to fight, but he still loved herbs. However, Soul was nowhere to be seen and he dropped the rabbit as he skidded to a halt at the birthing queen's side. She had already started, this was useless! "Just push as much as you can, and try and keep them warm, I will be back with what I can find." He meowed hastily and then off he ran. He wandered what Soul has brought with him, if anything, he had not payed much attention, surely he would have borage leaves though if he knew Persephone was close to her kitting, and he did! Pushing his way into the corner where the small supply of herbs were he picked out borage leaves first, then poppy seeds, leaving some left over, colts-foot and thyme would also have been helpful, but they had none of that, only the very basics. With a sigh he grabbed the herbs and padded back to where Persephone lay in labor. "Eat these." He meowed gruffly, then he dragged his claws down a near by rock, bringing moss down on top of him. Gathering the fallen bits of moss he picked hem up and places them just beside Persephone as a nest for her and the kits. He pulled the first kit towards him and gave it a few licks to check it was ok.

Scorchedpetal waited patiently for the tom to speak, breathing in and out quietly and slowly to control her anger. The fighting and noise level was increasing rapidly as her patience decreased just the same. She kneaded her delicate paws on the ground, keeping her expression neutral, not wanting to seem too up front. As he spoke, assigning her the task of mentoring Shatter, a cruel smirk darkened Scorchedpetal's features as she dipped her brilliant colored skull, "Of coarse. I should have no trouble with that." Being on Shard's good side was always great. Inside in head lurked a thought, quite curious about the way he had looked at her. As if she had reminded him of someone. But that thought pushed itself backwards and would come back sometime later. She nodded slightly, pursing her lips as she headed to the she-cat whom she was to mentor. The screaming of Shard forced its way into her hearing and Scorchedpetal had to smirk. Look what those idiots has gotten themselves into. "Shatter, dear, we have quite an amount of work to do." Oh, being one of the worst bad guys was wonderful. She smoothed some neck fur out and let her scorching gaze rest itself upon Shatter. This whole deal with Breakingdawn and Oblivionswarth was a stupid matter in which she wouldn't get involved with. Not now.

Shatter spoted the pretty she-cat who was finally her mentor. She did enjoy the presance of she-cats, for she had no friends and her littermates were all toms. She greeted the older cat with a dip of her head. She was still shaken by the things that had gone on in the cave with Oblivionswarth. She wasn't in the mood to disrespect any other cat at the present moment. "So um Scorchpetal isn't it?" Shatter mewed meekly, her ice blue eyes glaring at her mentor. "Hunt rabbits? Fight each other?" she mewed eagerly.

Persephone could only acknowledge the tom Toxicpaw with a soft growl as he came and left only to come back again. This time with herbs. They were simple things. For since the move they hadn't been able to gather up what they really needed. But then again that was expected. Chewing the herbs quickly she yowled as another kit came, another following right after it. It was like the two were together though she quickly tried to bend to see them and found they were seperate kits. Sighing with relief she was happy that she had three healthy kits. And by the feel of it there were no more. For the pain subsided. Quickly reacting to the kits she brought them to herself, licking them and snatching the kit away from Toxicpaw. She was going to be a protective mother and that was for sure. The kit that Toxicpaw had was a white and tabby kit. It looked scrawny. Though she was sure that it might be able to thrive eventually. The other two were bulkier, more than likely toms. Both tabby though one had white on his paws and she quickly named him her favorite. "I'll be fine Toxicpaw." Her words were simply as she placed the kits on the make-shift moss nest.

Soul hadn't noticed anything that had just previously gone on. He had been lost in thought, his mind wandering, although his ears picking up each sound like a microphone. He thought over Shatter, the disobedient, snide, sarcastic she cat who always thought that she'd get her way, but that was all a lie. She lived all lie, because in Delirium, you never got your way, you got Shard's way. Trying to live your own way was meaningless. Living in a clan was more meaningless, living the life of a pitiful weakling. Slowly the healer drifted out of his trance, only to see a disappointing looking camp, all amiss, but what did he care. For now he would just look around, watching, surveying, he was fine with his solitary nature. Of course, he wouldn't mind if someone came to join him. ((FAILpost))

The large long-haired silver tabby nodded and turned away from the mother and her kits. I hope they die, though of course I could easier make sure of that, I could have killed you too, since you have no idea what herbs you were eating, well maybe you did for now, but I could casually mix a death berry in with some strength herbs, then your would be a goner, just be thankful I don't plan on being healer. He wrinkled his nose and ran through the grass to Soul's side. Sitting down beside his mentor Toxicpaw gave him a respectful dip of his head and then straightened out again. "Persephone has had her kits, one looks a little scrawny." He murmured in Soul's ear. His tail lashed back and fourth behind him, the wind catching some loose fur and carrying it away on the wind.

Sombrepaw looked up at her mentor as she commented on what they were to do today. Rabbits, at nigh? Okay then. She had done it a few times, she wasn't so sure that she had got it perfect. Maybe she shoudl have practiced more before now. Pointers from Silvercresent would be very helpful for her to grasp the technique better.
"That would be... fine." She said, "I think I may need those 'pointers'."

Silvercrescent nodded firmly before continuing to head through the moon-lit clearing. "Let's go." Was all she said. The she-cat's silver coloring was bathed white, making her seem more like a part of a dream than a real cat. Eyes focused on the entrance, she began to pick up speed, released energy flowing happily through her limbs. In a few short seconds she was close to a run. There was no real reason; it was all just for fun. Running was calming for her. Not bothering to check if Sombrepaw was still up with her, she headed out toward a quiet meadow. She knew that if the apprentice wanted to be a warrior of Delirium, she was going to have to learn to keep up. The warrior paused on top of a crest, just watching over the now white meadow. A single scent stood out from the others as she took a deep breath. Rabbit.

Sombrepaw nodded as Silvercresent spoke. She would try to do everything right, and become a great warrior for Delerium. What would she be if she couldn't follow her clan properly? The word 'dead' came to the front of her mind. She didn't know anybody who had left but... if they had she didn't know what would have happnened to them. They couldn't have gone to other clans, they hated them.
She was suprised when Silvercresent started running. But as soon as she had noticed, Sombrepaw ran too. She was not as fast as her mentor. But Sombrepaw could she was an okay runner. She was not alongside of Silvercresent, slightly behind. Though it was pleasing to know that she was not getting any further behind as they ran. Her bengal pelt shining light grey as they went.
They stopped upon a hill, looking over a meadow. Sombrepaw scented the air and the smell of rabbit filled her. Just their luck. well, not really. This was usually a perfect place to catch rabbits. They were downwind of them, it seemed. Just right.

As he curled up and drifted into a peaceful slumber he began to dream. Dreams were supposed to be nice, but this one wasn't, another cat might not see what was unpleasant about it, but for him it was more like a nightmare. The fox like she-cat danced before his eyes and they even shared laughs, and he was happy. Then he saw the same she-cat with a litter of kits, and he as a proud father was standing over her. It was Vixen. It was always Vixen. No cat could replace her or even compare to her. Sure he saw similarities in other cats appearances that could be compared to her, but he knew he would never find another cat like her. There was no cat like her. This was his dream, pain filled and horrible as it was for him. He was not only living a nightmare, but he was dreaming it too. It would be better for him anyway, to be alone, to put his time into raising this clan of ruthless cats. They needed some cat to keep them in line. He did not care if he was liked or not, he did what was best for Delirium, and did what he thought would make them, well him really, more powerful. This was his life and this was what he knew. Then the light began to come back to him, seeping under his eyelids. When he opened them he still felt tired, he never got a decent sleep. He growled softly at himself then realized he had company and his head shot up. He narrowed his eyes at the tabby she-cat, Breakingdawn. "Are you better at fighting or hunting?" He asked her.

Silvercrescent turned and nodded once more with slight approval. She was surprised; Sombrepaw had kept up a decent pace. "Very good." She praised, head snapping back toward the horizon. If she narrowed her eyes, she could see the first traces of the stars beginning to fade. Most of the night was gone, though it was still dark. The night air whistled around them, carrying the scents of the shadows and darkness. Almost smiling, the she-cat looked down at Sombrepaw. "Let's see what you can do."

Sombrepaw looked over the meadow, the rabbit scent strong in the air. Silvercresent wanted her to hunt, now? Right, okay. She studied the meadow, It had quite long grass, with the darkness that was like running around with your eyes closed. But if she couldn't see the rabbit, it couldn't see her. It would also help to stay downwind of the rabbit. Make it harder to hear her.
She nodded to her mentor and slipped down the hill and into the meadow. She had to be careful about the last thing, the rabbit hearing her. The rustling of the grass as she went through would be a problem, but if she went slow and steady she could pretend it was just the breeze, and it seemed to be picking up. She scented the air again and was glad to find she was still downwind of the rabbit, though she had to find it first.
Slowly but surely she padded, almost crawling, though the grass. Trying to make as little noise as she could. Every so often she would stop and find out where the rabbit was.Two scents were coming towards her, and she headed towards the stronger scent. She was almsot upon it.
Suddenly, in the fading moonlight, she saw a figure, rabbit! It was facing the other way, nibbling grass, but taht could change. She slithered towards the rabbit, through when its ears perked up she lept. She grabbed the rabbit by its neck and bit it firmly, tasting the rabbits warm blood. She tried not to spill so much that other rabbits would not run away. She ran back to Silvercresent and laid the rabbit at her paws. She didn't know if she had done something wrong, maybe.

Silvercrescent watched the meadow as Sombrepaw headed downward. She could follow the she-cat pretty well; her pelt was easier to see at times in the white-yellow stalks of grass. In just a few short minutes, she perked her ears as the scent of blood drifted toward her. Nodding with satisfaction, she watched as her new apprentice trotted back, a rabbit hanging from her jaws. "Again, very nice Sombrepaw. A little slow, but that's to be expected in long grass. You're turning out pretty good." She said, blinking. If things kept up like this, it wouldn't take long for the she-cat to rise to a fighter.

Sombrepaw was pleased, Silvercresent had praised her! She said it had been, 'pretty good'. She wondered what she would have to do now. More hunting? It wouldn't really be at night now that it was getting lighter. And then, if it got light enough she could maybe do some fighting? That would really be great. Then she could be a great warrior in battles, they might have some of those soon. She had heard Eclipseomen and Immortalpaw had gone out to the other clans. Hah! More trouble for them.

The warrior sighed as she realized that the night hunting would have to be caught short. Too bad; it was one of her favorite things to do. Nevermind, there were many other things they could do. Silvercrescent growled slightly, backing up a couple of steps. "A warrior must be ready to fight any second of the day in any place. Just because you're not used to uneven ground could mean you end up dead in a battle in minutes. You need to learn how to fight, and soon. Now, attack me. If you dare." She meowed, adding the last bit with a small smile.
