Lavenderpaw entered camp, she had been out in the territory, where she had bumped into Serenwinter and those evil Deliruim cats. SHE shuddered at the thought of them and her purple eyes grew wide as she remembered them pushing her friend around, and the conversation they had exchanged. He closed her eyes, tring to rid ehr mind if the memory. Silently she padded through camp to the far side of the claering near the nursrey. Serenwinter.
There was the ivory cat. Lavenderpaw said nothing as she stopped at the pretty cat who was just lying there. She had sympathy in her eyes, and slowly, she sat beside her, kneeling and finally lieing down. She just stared into the deep eyes, and saw pain and hurtfulness there. She said nothing ,just lay and star.
ooc; Can Serenwinter kinda like Lavenderpawe back..not as all buddy buddy, but Lavenderpaw likes her a lot.

Although she was occupied in the cleaning of her wounds she noticed as she had inherited some company. At first she ignored the she-cat, it wasn't a problem having her around, but then she saw the sympathy in the apprentices eyes reflected in the blood that lay beside her and her teal orbs narrowed sharply. How dare she?! She wanted sympathy from nobody. Did the she-cat find her weak? Of course she was not weak, if she had been weak then she would not be around still, if she was weak her muscles would not perform a light ripple beneath her pelt as she tensed them. No she was not weak. She decided the apprentice was only trying to be friendly and brushed it off. Her wounds did not seem to be able to stop bleeding and she sucked in a nervous breath. Maybe there would be some cobwebs left over in the medicine cats den. As she slowly and carefully got to her paws she nodded to Lavenderpaw then walked off and slipped into the medicine cats den, and sure enough in the darkest corner was a herb supply, with cobwebs.

Her eyes already gone soft from staring at three of her healthy kittens, she barely noticed the apprentice that had entered the den. "Lavendarpaw, we do not need anything at the moment but sleep. Go ahead and check on the elders, little one." she meowed in a gentle tone. Flamingarrow did not really like the apprentice, and she hadn't really gotten to know very many cats since she had came back from MaliceClan all those moons ago. Not even being back for half a day, she was drunk on Chasmriver. They were thrown into a useless love triangle with Cedarsnap, whom she remembered was related to Cloverspring. Cloverspring. Hadn't she gone out into territory? She shook her head, and then once more was lost in those wonderful moons. Making trouble in the middle of camp, they were caught by Lynxstar and changed back to darling little apprentices. Flamingarrow had taken the time to get to know Chasmriver once more, and to fall in love with him. Love. She snorted at what she had thought was love. She had been so blind. He was like all toms. Hungry for she-cats, and then using them until they were useless. In her case, she had become pregnant, and he didn't want his days of fun to end. How blind indeed.

Stormwind entered the camp, her pawsteps slow and heavy. Darkfog had been heavier than she thought, and now her fur was covered in blood because of him. Blinking as she took a deep breath, she stopped suddenly as she spotted the pool of blood in the clearing. What had happened while she was gone? The cat closed her eyes briefly, wondering how many cats now had been injured. By the size of the pool, many. If not many, than those few had been seriously hurt. Stormwind advanced forward again, head snapping back and forth as she searched for Lynxstar. Perhaps her leader could tell her what had happened. As she entered her deen, she was immediately relaxed by the familiar scents that encircled her. The she-cat allowed herself to be lulled ever so slightly, her tail curling in delight. This was where she belonged; not as a warrior who fought cats, but as a warrior that fought sickness. Easing Darkfog into a nest, she quickly trotted toward her herb supply. Pawsteps faded away, however, as she caught the scent of another cat. "Who's there?" She called, her voice calm.

Swinging her head around, Lynxstar's bland-colored eyes widened as Flamingarrow nearly cursed so blantantly before that kits, and, well, the whole clan. It was disgraceful. Tsking her tougue, the massive she-cat stood and nodded. "I'll get the other two," She mumbled, stooping to gently latch her jaws around a ginger tom and a calico she-cat's scruffs as they both began to wail in complaint. "Oh shoosh." The tawny she-cat whispered through their moist fur with amusement, and stopped in the nursery, dipping her head to Abyssbird and Serenewinter both. How awkward for both of the poor she-cats. Darkfog. She narrowed her eyes at the name. He had played them both. Plopping the kits at Flamingarrow's belly, she dipped her head again. "I'll have Stormwind come take a look later. I trust you two queens will be okay while we're off at the gathering? I'm leaving Littlepaw here, so if you need something, holler for him. Plus, just in case of any danger, I'm not willing to give up any healthy queens with your big litters like you two, so I'm leaving a few strong warriors behind. Northwind, Radianteclipse, Summerpath, Buzzardspite, Riverford. They're all staying too." She twitched her 'nub' tail and gave a weak smile, then turned out of the den, just in time to notice Serenewinter's stained coat. "Serenewinter, you alright?" She murmured, drawing her tougue over the other she-cat's shoudler comfortingly. "If you're well enough by then, I'd like you to attend the gathering this evening." Lynxstar mewed, then moved off, swerving towards the FallenPine and clambering to the top of it with ease. "VertigoClan!" She gave a sound yowl. "Please gather below FallenPine for a meeting!" They were familiar words, spoken over and over without hesitation. No ceremony tonight, just another gathering. Still, she could hardly deny loving gatherings. She went on after the short pause for cats to emerge from their dens. "Lilythorn, Rowanleaf, Cloudstreak, Butterflywing, Veiledpaw, and Lavenderpaw. I would like you to come with me to the gathering after picking up a bit to eat and perhaps catching a short rest. We leave when evening falls. Stormwind if you are still not finished with your healing business by then, please catch up with us when you can." She finished, voice cracking with exhaustion somehwere near the end of her short speech. It had been a long, long day. A nap would suit her fine. Leaping down from the rotting tree with a satisfying crack of her spine, the leader spun and headed into her den for a short nap.

Cloudstreak looked from the kits, to Lynxstar, back to the newborn kits, and back to the leader. The tom smiled, as she began to speak. She mentioned the names of those who were going to the gathering, and what made him happy was the fact that he was going. Smiling, the tom nodded to Lynxstar. He wasn't tired. He rarely was tired these days, and he didn't really know why? He was restless, so he tended to spen his sleepless nights out in the camp, looking up at the sky, while many, if not all cats were dozing in their warm dens. He picked himself up, his lightly striped body moving with a delicateness, so that he looked as if he were walking on thin ice. Slowly, and yet quickly, all at the same time, his head focused on the ground, as if concentrating on whether or not the ice would break underneath him. Odd enough as it sounded, it was what it looked like. The tom then came to realization that he didn't need fresh-kill, he was eating with the leader, before Flamingarrow had interrupted them. Not that it was her fault, so the tom wasn't mad. He just felt slightly idiotic. He just left Lynxstar, without a word. He turned back to the leader, smiling innocently, and yet sheepishly. "I forgot, we were eating," he meowed, looking at the ground. He was kind of zoned out during the whole kitting process, and he wasn't even sure if he was asked to do something. The toms eyes trailed over to where the kits were. Beautiful little things. And what warriors they would make. The tom smiled, and brought his gaze back to the leader. "I'm sorry, I may have looked like a fool, walking away from you like that," he meowed, biting down hard on his lip, looking at the half-eaten carcass of the shrew.

Lavenderpaw just stared at Serenwinter, and she knew she was unhappy. She knew she was angry for the sympathy Lavenderpaw expressed, but sadly she was not one who was good at keeping her emotions from being noticed. She just smiled as the older ivory cat nodded and got up to go to the medicine den. She sat, cleanign her face and fur with her paws. She just ignored the queen who asked her to go check in with the elders. She sat outside teh nursrey, so the queen couldn't see her laender eyes rol in sarcasm. That was her mentors job, if her mentor had spent more time with her maybe Labenderpaw wouldn't be behind in her training.
Never the less she listened up and walked over to her leader Lynxstar. She loved her leader like her own kin and would sacrifice her life for Lynzstar. She wouldnot let the cats who had killed Ghoststar and Larkstar kill her leader! That was for sure.Lavenderpaw's eyes widened as she heard she would be going to the gathering! How exciting! She thanked Lynxstar and sat down after doing so, waiting for anythign to do.

Rowanleaf padded back into camp as he heard Lynxstar call out the cats to go to the gathering. He was going! He had only been to two gatherings before, both as apprentices. This would be his first as a warrior! He was exited to be able to go. This would be great, seeing the other clans again.

It was soon obvious to her, as every time she closed them, her eyelids fluttered back open again, that sleep would not come, but it was unlikely she she would grow tired during the gathering anyway. So, rising from her cozy nest, the massive tawny-ticked she-cat glanced around, patting everything back into place around her den and waited for evening to close into night, but she heard the soft crunch of pawpads against the gravel outside of the rotting pine, and she whipped around. Cloudstreak. "Oh.. hi." She smiled gingerly, twitching her oddly short tail with an awkward smile. "It's alright, I'm sure toms aren't too interested in kitting anyhow." She gave a short laugh, and averted her eyes, shooting her gaze past him. "Plus I had to round up all the gathering cats.." She added, shrugging her broad shoulders, then trotting fully outside, yes. It was dark enough to leave. "Besides, I can gulp that down in one bite." Lynxstar grinned mischieviously, and, as if to prove her point, bend to daintily pick up the mangled mess of a meal, and tossed it to the sky, catching it and swallowing it with practiced ease. "See?" She chuckled. "C'mon, time for gathering." She trotted to the group that had begun to form near the entrance, and twitched her whiskers for them to follow her.

Oh, of course, now he should be left behind from the gathering. Some would of course say he deserved it, but some would say he didn't. It was useless to do anything else when Lynxstar was gone, because no one would notice anything that he did, or call it helpful. The most he could expect to happen was a thank you, no matter how good the deed was. The dark tabby tom sat down beside the fresh kill pile, watching the line of cats leave the camp. This would prove to be quite an uneventful night, unless, of course, some badgers attacked, or maybe a wolf pack. For now he would wait and see who was left, who he could chat with until the gathering was over and all the worn out cats returned. Maybe he wasn't the only one who was bored out of his mind.

Darkfog wasn't sure what to do with life. He wasn't even aware of the journey home or how he got there. He was aware of a familiar voice being sounded. A strong and powerful voice. Commanding....like that of his leader's. And that was what drew him out of the darkness he was in. At least it drew him out partly. He could now hear the voices and he stirred lightly. Of course a groan was emitted from his mouth at the multitude of wounds he had and more than likely the various broken bones in his body. However he knew he would recover, some stupid Starclan cat had visited him and said so. Well damn Starclan at the moment. As his vision became focused compared to the blurry mess it had been he made out the medicine cat den. He was at his camp. He was back where he lived. Great. Back to Abyssbird and Serenewinter and his messed up life. Back to the bad things that Starclan has bestowed upon him. The tom finally figured out what was happening. The Gathering. Lynxstar was leaving and he would be stuck here with whomever the cat was in the den with him...................peering closer he found out who it was. Serenewinter.

Stormwind listened as Lynxstar listed the cats, dipping her head in response as the leader spoke of her duties. Indeed, Stormwind would not miss this Gathering. She was excited, as usual, but also feeling slightly alarmed. It could be nothing, she supposed. It was most likely just feelings about what Darkfog had tried to do. Thinking about it, she shuddered. Such a horrible thing to do, yet he had tried. Pulling herself from these thoughts, she rose to her paws and padded toward her den, knowing she would have to watch over Serenewinter and Darkfog. As she entered her eyes flickered toward the tom, who seemed to be waking. Never the less, she ignored him for the moment; she had nothing to say to a cat that had tried to end his life just then. Instead, she headed for her herb storage and pulled out what Serenewinter had needed. With rest and time, the she-cat would be fine. Wiping a cobweb off her paw, she began to treat the injured she-cat. It seemed to take only a few minutes until she was done. Quite satisfied with her work, she turned to look at Darkfog. "Take care of yourself Darkfog." She meowed before leaving the den. As she headed across the clearing she sped up, eager to catch up to her clan.
OOC: Crappy, I know, but I have no muse. A statewide writing and reading test can do that to you. >.<

Serenewinter was grateful for Stormwind treating her and thanked the she-cat before she left. However it would be a shame to go to a gathering now and tear her wounds all over again, plus it would be painful, staying her would be better. She curled up, her nose tucked under her tail and tried to sleep, but it was impossible with Darkfog in the same den. It only brought back memories of how they used to fall asleep and wake up with their pelts touching the same morning. She wanted to cry all over again, but that wouldn't sort anything out. She was just so angry, and hurt. OF course that wouldn't sort anything out either, taking her anger out on the cats around her. It was so....awkward. She didn't know what to say. However, she did recognize his sulk, he knew why he was in here, it was his own doing. Trying to run away from his problems as usual, she had returned to hers, and she was still here to her own surprise. She wondered if she would leave time for the medicine cat to notice her kits, she would not stay with Delirium long, she couldn't. She had to get used to being a clan cat again. Serenewinter sucked in a sharp breath. "It didn't work did it." She meowed.

And there is was. The voice of the she-cat he had once loved....did love....forever would love. It swept him away in memories. Good ones and bad. The kind you wished to relive over again. The one that made you want to go back in time, tell Starclan to fix, make everything better again as it should be. It was only then Darkfog realized the true nature of his doings. By Serenewinter being gone, he had looked for comfort. And there was only one other cat he could find it in. Abyss. Of course that was the wrong path. For now he had messed up her life, and his own, as well as Serenewinter's. And altered the clan just a bit by having two kits come into the world with his name written all over them. That wasn't what he wanted. But what did he want? The comfort knowing Serenewinter had forgiven him? The touch of her pelt? The fact that everything would be okay for once? The questions welled up inside him. To harsh to answer. He couldn't think about them now. First he needed to retrace. Go back.
If he would of just turned sullen again. If Abyss would of left him alone. If she would of realized he didn't need her. If she would of just, just gone far away. This would not be happening. Vertigoclan was used to him being depressed you could say. So why would he not choose that? In a sense it was all of their faults. Serenewinter's for being gone. Though that was not of her free will. Abyssbird's fault since she would not leave him be, and his own for not waiting. For not accepting. His own for not sticking true to himself. Why couldn't he just go back and not have met any of these she-cats. Could he of not trained Abysspaw. Ahh...maybe it was Lynxstar's fault too. For she had paired him with Abysspaw, leading to a closer relationship. Sighing at the thought he snapped back to reality. The words of Serenewinter sinking in. He only had a few words. Lonely words, harsh and bitter. Cold as ice.
"And why would you care..."
