The tom slipped through the territory quickly. Easily. His large body was muscular and it wasn't hard to work through most types of terrain. The white splotch on his chest was ruffled and he quickly bent to lick it back down into place. He looked behind him, checking to make sure Mintypaw was following closely. She would have to keep up with his pace. If she ever wanted to be a good warrior she would have to push herself. Push herself till she felt like giving up, till she felt there was no energy left within her and she might collapse of exhaustion. Suddenly he felt dizzy slipping into a lapse of memories.
MOVE IT OMENPAW! You're such a slow piece of fox-dung. The voice was loud. Ringing through his ears. An ebony colored apprentice was seen following a large brown warriors at a very fast pace. IT was clear the apprentice was tired. It was clear he had been running since he woke. His body aching, feeling as if he would collapse. The strain was evident in his face. Suddenly he fell. To the ground, the tom went down. The brown warrior turned, and came back to the apprentice. The apprentice lifted his head finding that he had no energy. GET UP OMENPAW! You're good for nothing. Get up. The warrior hovered over the apprentice who could only move his eyes to find his mentor. "I'm sorry Otterfur I just can't move. I have no energy left I'm sorry to disappoint you. I wish..." The apprentice was cut off by a blow of claws to his mouth. Hot sticky blood formed where the blow was dealt. With that the warrior left the apprentice laying there with a few words as he turned to leave. Don't talk Omenpaw. It only gets you in more trouble.
Finding himself back into reality he shook the thought away and slowed his pace. He wouldn't be like his mentor had been. The story of his quiet nature had been revealed. Of course a patrol had found him laying there, helpless, quiet and unwilling to speak. Otterfur had turned up with the patrol claiming rogues had attacked and dealt the blow to his apprentice. Snarling softly to himself Omencurse stopped. The area was sufficient to train Mintypaw in the ways of hunting.

Mintypaw padded quietly behind her mentor, making sure that she did not disturb whatever prey was out at this time of day. The pace was quite fast, and she started breathing quickly, fairly close to hyperventilation. She was the smallest of the apprentices, and obviously the most delicate. Much like the petal of a white rose floating down a stream. It was too easy to hurt her, making it hard for her to become a warrior. She'd probably need many more moons of training than all the other apprentices because of this, but it didn't bother her at all. Mintypaw would have been asking her mentor to slow down if he hadn't begun the process already, slowing to a pace that the tiny apprentice could keep up to. Ribcage expanded with every breth deeper than the next until she regained her breath. "Thank you Omencurse. . ." Her small voice made the whisper almost inaudible as she thanked her large ebony mentor. Maybe, with such a caring mentor like the black tom, she could survive apprenticeship and become a full fledged warrior, able to fend for herself and her clan. The mentor would also have to be patient, because her size would make it take far longer for her to be strong enough for the normal tasks of an apprentice.

He knew he had pushed Mintypaw a tad too far. He didn't mean to, or at least now he didn't. He regretted the move though he would try to make her the best she could be. After all, why would he hurt another like he himself had been hurt. Sighing softly the large ebony tom was surprised by a soft wind that blew his fur around. It was interesting living in Zephyrclan. He didn't seem to fit in. Compared to the lean and lanky bodies of his clan mates, Omencurse was a beast. A monster more or less, more of a Vertigoclan cat if anything. Though nobody spoke about his looks, he knew somebody had to be talking about it. But it didn't bother him too much. Even if it did he wouldn't speak of it to anybody. No. He would never do that. "Hunting. Right it's more or less the easiest of the two things you'll be needing to learn." HIs voice was gruff though soft. he didn't try and put himself out there. He wasn't loud or boisterous. He was just....quiet. "In a mossball, drop your haunches, keep your weight distributed evenly...that'll give you the most trouble...and pounce. Try it on that leaf." Motioning towards a leaf he realized that this was the most he had talked during the moon. More than likely the most he had talked in a couple moons.

Mintypaw had been carefully instructed. Well, not really carefully, and it had no details whatsoever, but it got the point across. So all she had to do was stay low, distribute weight, and then pounce? Well, she had no idea how hard it would be on real prey, but they all knew this leaf wouldn't get up and run away. Lowering her body, small, beady eyes sparkled with a happy light. This was her first preparation. Still, she forgot to lower her tail and it was straight up in the air. Then, as she crawled towards the leaf, her feet making tiny pattering noises as she approached the leaf. Only a few inches away from her target, she took in a deep breath and prepared. Then, muscles tensed as she began to spring at her prey. Flying through the air, she missed her target by far. Instead of landing on the leaf, she hit the ground a couple feet away and tumbled quite a ways. What an embarrassment. She only knew that she had missed the target, not anything about how bad she had done overall, and she was already really upset. Now she couldn't even bear to look at her mentor, and the little ball of furn turned away, her back to Omencurse as she stared at her paws. How would she ever become a warrior? All she was was a clumsy fool who couldn't do anything right. All she was was a blemish, a mistake, a cat that didn't even deserve to be alive.

Titanheart's red firey pelt rushed through the forest as he chased after his afternoon meal. His meal was a soft fluffy rabbit that had accidently ran into his sun bathing. Ever since then, he'd been running after the rabbit for quiet some time.
Scrambing to keep his breath in check, he fought his legs for one more lurch forward, hoping to catch the rabbit.Dust spread everywhere as he landed, something hard, yet soft in his paws. Hissing, Titanheart saw that he had not caught the rabbit, but a pile of mud. Flicking his small paws, he let the mud unwillingly fly off his paws. Long furred ears layed down flat on his head as he stared at the rabbit tracks. It was running off his territory, and now, he was covered in mud, everywhere. Titanheart would have now jump in a cold, icy river to help clean the mud off himself. He refused to touch that mud with his tongue. Titanheart sighed longingly towards the rabbit before murmering, "Well, I suppose now I'm going to have to get up, and drag myself to the river, with more weight on my fur than ever," Titanheart luchred foward again, before sinking down towards the ground. Maybe he could rest here for awhile.

There was a small chuckle as another warrior caught sight of Titanheart's awesome catch. She knew he had been after the rabbit, which he had nearly caught too; he was only a few pawsteps away. Too bad though; the rabbit would've made a good meal for any cat that wasn't picky about what they ate. The small warrior slid from the shadows that hid her, a fat mouse held carefully between her jaws. Her fur was sticking out like she had just woken up, making her look like a black and white fluffball. But no, she had been awake for some time now, following her past pawsteps around the territory. The very forest itself fascinated her; each tree was another life form that had it's own story and past. She just couldn't get enough of her exploring. In fact, she had been doing just this when she caught sight of the fiery pelt that belonged to Titanheart. Curious as she was, she had followed him to see this humiliating, if not hilarious, end. As Hushedbreeze came closer to Titanheart, her eyes sparkled with humor as she bowed her head. "Wonderful catch if I may say. Is the mud used to hide from your prey?" She remarked as she placed the mouse at her paws. Tilting her head to the side ever so slightly she held in another laugh; it would be disasterous to laugh right in front of him.

Titanheart shot straight up as he stared at the black and white she-cat. Peircing eyes stared at her before snorting, and turning around. Squinting his eyes, Titanheart snickered before flicking his tail towards her. She could share his camoflauge if she was such a smart cat.
Titanheart turned around, still having a small smirk on his face, as he said, "Well, yes, actually, it is Hushedbreeze, although that rabbit still got away..." Glancing at her mouse, his eyes glimmered, his mouth watering.

Feeling the mud splatter across her face, the she-cat let out a meow of surprise and digust. Sputtering, she winced at the bitter taste of the mud; some of it had unfortantely landed in her mouth. Just her luck. She tried to use a paw to get a clump off, and suceeded, though the mud also smeared. The warrior directed a glare in his direction before sighing. No reason to get extremely mad over this; she had started it. "Ah well. There's always next time." She stated, waving the incident away casually with a single tail flick. Now noticing how he stared at the mouse, she used a paw to roll it towards the tom. "Hungry? You can have it; I'm not on a hunting patrol." She explained, sitting down with her tail wrapped tight around her now mud-splattered paws.

Titanheart sat up diligently, wrapping his muddy, flattened down tail around his paws. Putting his muzzle up to the sky, he sniffed before murmering, "I suppose, seeing as you aren't on a hunting patrol... Why let a mouse go to waste?" Titanheart squinted his eyes before leaning down to sniff at the mouse. Glancing at it's warm, furry body, Titanheart stared up at Hushedbreeze before grabbing it up in his mouth.
Taking a small tear into it, he mumbled, "Shall we share? You did catch this..."
ooc;; sickness is making me have a block, I promise. ;A; -headdesk- This is horrible.

Hushedbreeze chuckled. Titanheart didn't seem to know what to do quite yet. Of course, his new position had to be slightly overwhelming. The she-cat knew that she wouldn't like that position; she was happy enough as a warrior. Even then, that was hard enough sometimes. During leaf-bare, warriors became weak, almost helpless as the clans slowly wasted away from lack of prey. That was no one's fault, but she always felt guilty when she could only find a couple of mice a day; that was on a lucky day too. Snapping out of her thoughts, the she-cat settled her gold gaze on the mouse. It did look good, but she didn't have an urge to eat. "No thanks. I ate before I left camp; I'm not hungry like some." She stated, chuckling again. The she-cat flicked her tail, irritated still by the mud that clung to her once spotless fur.

Titanheart smiled and said, "Thank you, Hushedbreeze. This kindness will not be forgotten." Titanheart dipped his head before he began to eat the plump mouse. Chewing the soft, still warm meat, he stared at her flicking her tail. Maybe he should help her out with that mud...
Titanheart finished swiftly before walking over towards Hushedbreeze more, and then put his paw on her tail. Pawing it lightly, he murmered softly, "Hushedbreeze, would you like me to help you clean out all of this mud?" Titanheart stared at her golden orbs before looking back towards the soiled, beautiful fur.
ooc;; hay, cat, titie isn't deputy yet. xD After the gathering he will, though. CC:

OOc: Ooops. XDD NVM.
Bic: Hushedbreeze blinked, breaking the eye contact after a few heartbeats. Slightly self-consious, she let out an uneasy laugh. The young warrior continued to flick her tail, some more of the mud being taken off with ease. Twitching her whiskers she smiled slightly at the tom. He was, after all, quite kind. "I think I've got it, though I may need help; mud likes my fur too much." She stated, frowning at her black and white coat. Because her fur was longer than most, it got covered in gunk quite easier than others' fur. Then, remembering her manners, she meowed, "But thank you Titanheart."

Titanheart smiled softly before raising his nose to the air. Glancing in the direction of the Gathering area, he meowed out softly, "Hushedbreeze, I think that the cats that went to the Gathering are coming back.. And everything seems tense." Titanheart glanced in the direction again before staring at the she-cat.
Gracefully, Titanheart leapt up, and began to walk towards the camp. Signaling Hushedbreeze to follow, he began to run through the forest.

Hushedbreeze raised her muzzle into the air, her jaws parting slightly as she took a deep breath. The comforting scent of ZephyrClan, but it was disturbed. Confusion, dislike, fury. Lowering her head, she shot a confused glance towards the path it had come from. What was going on? Without another thought she began to run after Titanheart, muttering under her breath as her stiffened limbs protested. She had been running all day, and this wasn't something that she wanted to do right now. "What do you think is wrong?" She asked, drawing up with the tom.
