h ar v e s t m o o n - - - [ <3 ] Her lips fluttered as another small sigh passed through them, then she snorted as Crypticstreak offered for her to stay. The only sign that she had rolled her eyes in response was that her slitted pupils rotated around the perimeter of her olive green eyes. "No thanks." She muttered dryly. "Make sure you get your pregnant self back to camp quickly, ma'am, or I wont let Cryptie here to live it down. Haha, can you imagine him delivering? Ouch." She gave a mock cringe against the thought, and dipped her head to both cats before turning in the direction she had been going. Wasn't Crypticstreak one of Driftingice's new buddies? Ouch. The furry, lean but slim ginger took long strides until she was well out of ear-shot of the couple, then let her bodice tremble in a faint chuckle. They were nice together though, and she couldn't really imagine Driftingice as a mother. For all honesty, she couldn't imagine herself a mother either, though a mate wouldn't be too bad. But where was Wreathedmoon? Were they official yet? No. And they probably never would be. Twisting her face into a grimace, Harvestmoon broke into a trot, while her paws ate up the ground faster and faster, her trot turned into a carefree run. She splashed over moor and stream and finally saw the lake, and grinned. If only Driftingice were here, they could have slash fights like they used to, playing like kits while no one was watching, and bickering like an old couple whenever someone came along. Shaking her head, Harvestmoon decided when she returned to camp, she'd find her old friend and drag her out here to make up to her somehow. Wincing as her long legs hit the icy lakewater, she gasped, sucking in air to distract herself from the freezing sensation. "Whoo." She huffed, looking around her any fish she could nibble on as she finally became accustomed to the temperature.

Crypticstreak looked up, his pupils growing wider. "But it does matter." He persisted. His tail gently stroked her flank comfortingly. He managed to catch what Harvestmoon was saying and the black of his eyes managed to cover the green. "Yes! Thats a good idea, lets get you back to camp." He said abruptly. A very real shudder ran down his spine at the thought of it, having no idea what do do and Ivywhisper being in pain. He shook his head to clear the thoughts from it. "No that wont do, you will be safer in the paws of Starclan and Taintedleaf, trust me on that one." He meowed, his fur beginning to lie flat again. It may have been a secret little joke between she-cats, but really he did not find it funny at all.

"But it does matter."
Ivywhipser purred softly, "It'll be okay," Her panic was over, she felt alot better now. From what Harvestmoon had said, the idea of Crypticstreak delivering their kits... She didn't let her amusement show though, she didn't want Crypticstreak to be even more worried about the kits. She was sure it was going to be fine now, even if it would hurt...
"Yes! Thats a good idea, lets get you back to camp." Crypticstreak had said, then though for a moment. "No that wont do, you will be safer in the paws of Starclan and Taintedleaf, trust me on that one."
Ivywhisper purred once more in amusement, the thought of him delivering kist must have gone through his own mind too. She didn't really mind going back to camp, she had been out here a bit. She sighed and stepped back to face the camp.
"Shall we go then?"
(Shall me say it? Ivy to camp!)

Cyrpticstreak nodded trusting Ivywhisper's word, but he cast a playful glare over his shoulder at Harvestmoon. That really was not funny. He tossed his head in the air and gave himself a shake, fluffing out his pelt and grinned over at Ivywhisper. "You are right it will be ok." He meowed. Though he wasn't sure if he was assuring himself or Ivywhisper. He nodded to Ivywhisper after a few moments of silence between them. "Yes, with you in camp my mind can be at rest." He chuckled with a small grin. "Good day Harvestmoon, Dawnsoul." He called to the other two she-cats with a wave of his tail and then padded off, catching up with Ivywhisper shuffling along rather quickly. He wrapped his tail over her back and began to help her back to camp, not at all irritated by the slower pace he was taking.
Crypticstreak to camp.

&&. the truth is i've grown quite fond <3Wreathedmoon. It was like he had been blown out of existance but lovely Larkstar had put him to work. He was so busy, he hadn't had time to have his daily dose of Harvestmoon. Oh how he loved her. But did she love him back? It was indeed his fault that her and Driftingice were barely friends anymore. Why did the arrogent she-cat loathe him so much anyway? He didn't do anything that offending to her, did he? Well Wreathy wasn't exactly the 'ladies' man, though occasionally he tried to be. Then he saw her. Just sitting there by the lake. Sunlight sparkled on her beautiful fur and he blinked several times, Am I dreaming? But he wasn't, Harvestmoon was there, right in front of him. Wreathedmoon padded up to her and cleared his throat, trying to decide what to say but decided with a simple, "Er, hi Harvest." He flashed a grin, trying to express that he didn't know exactly what to say. "Beautiful day isn't it?"
Wreathy plopped down next to her, his fluffy tail billowing up before landing with a thump on the ground.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

h a r v e s t m o o n - - - [ <3 ] No fish. All gone, probably to TempestClan's warmer side of the lake, lucky little fools. And all those dark cats would be off chasing squirrels in their birch forest instead of taking advantage of this. Buffoons. Snorting, she turned in the water, ripples trailing her lean form like a second tail, dancing from her actual tail, which flowly limply in the chilly water. Sharp olive green lights still eating up the shallow, rocky floor of the lake, she heard a faint crackling of leaves, followed by a familiar scent that slammed into her like a rock. Jerking her head up instantly at his musky, earthy smell, a rough pur emerged from deep within her throat even before her dull eyes, in comparison, met his shady blue and indigo ones. "Wreathedmoon." She breathed, controlling her quivering legs to stop herself from dashing out of the water and straight into him. What if the patrol in the distance spotted them? Shivering, and not from the lake water, the dark ginger she-cat dipped her head, allowing her smile curve into a crooked grin, revealing sharp ivories. "Hey there." She chuckled, watching his face instead of following his gaze to the clear sky. The only sound she made was a soft dripping of her long rusty belly fur as she emerged from the lake, shaking out her long coat before sitting down at the marshy shore. "Sure is." Harvestmoon replied casually, tail tip curling up, then uncoiling. "Cranky old Larkstar let you off duty for a few heartbeats?" The lean warrior snorted humorously.

&&. the truth is i've grown quite fond <3He watched her emerge, pelt dripping with icy cold water that was more than likely not to affect her. It shouldn't effect any of the ZephyrClan warriors because they were used to this. Wreathy just did what he couldn't stop from doing; he stared at Harvestmoon like a complete idiot! He couldn't stop himself, her eyes seemed to capture his gaze, and suddenly he was lost in the depths of them. And he returned her smile, "It's almost as lovely as you, my dear," He mewed jokingly, with a chuckle. She was probably tired of hearing things like that, but the two were so close that it was like their minds were connected. It was quiet, Wreathedmoon could hear tiny droplets of water dripping off her fur and he had to restrain himself from inhaling her sweet scent. "Yeah, finally! I sware she's trying to keep me from doing anything at all." He rolled his eyes, once again the delighted feeling pulsing through his veigns. How was he so in love with her? Just a few moons ago they were enemies!

h a r v e s t m o o n - - - [ <3 ] Her own olive lights followed his almost hungry gaze, realizing it led to herself, she stood and shook out her pelt again, making sure the majority of the moisture left landed on his formly clean, neat smoky gray pelt, snorting. He was acting like a lovesick puppy, and she thought she was bad. Rolling her eyes, she shot him a look. "Yeah, right." She scoffed, slowly raising a paw to eye level, then swiftly bringing it over his ears in a cuff. Harvestmoon, you idiot! Quit playing hard-to-get! Glancing down at the muddy, nasty rust-colored coarse coat that stuck up at funny angles, she snorted again, glaring this time. "Dont hit on me, punk." She replied, her dry tone holding an equal amount of humor, as a grin cracked her rough-features into a lighter expression. For some reason, Larkstar keeping her deputy busy didnt surprise Harvestmoon, but not for any particular reason. The beige she-cat always seemed snobby and opinionated in her eyes. Well, she was, but why? The dark gigner she-cat couldnt begin to guess. Loveless, probably. She snorted, glancing over and gazing into Harvestmoon's eyes. Not herself. And if she needed to get aggressive over him, so be it. No one else would lay a paw on him. Silently, she turned her head to the direction of TempestClan, then tilted her skull, gazing at the bright sky, the sun shimmering and dancing in the surprising new-leaf heat. The snow was already deminishing quickly. As the sun kissed her pelt, she shivered with delight, then felt her ears burn as she realized it wasnt the sun, it was Wreathedmoon. "Wanna race?" She asked suddenly, jumping up and gazing evenly at him, her olive eyes sparkling challenge. She wanted to romp and play like a kit, but wwhat was so wrong with that?

&&. the truth is i've grown quite fond <3he watched with a laugh as she shook out her pelt, it poofing up slightly. until the droplets landed on his. "don't even go there harvest!" wreathedmoon shook his pelt, the moisture flying through the air as he let out a snort. she was playing hard-to-get now, so what was he supposed to do? why did wreathy have to pick the one who was likely to never fall in love? "so all of a sudden you think i'm hitting on you" he rolled his orbs and chuckled, ducking quickly as her paw hit him squarely across the head. but he got hit anyway. wreathedmoon playfully whacked harvestmoon with his oversized tail and grinned, revealing pointed teeth. there was a prolonged moment of silence in which he stared into the brush. larkstar was always very...open. she didn't try to be nice when she wanted to be mean. which had its strengths and weaknesses but why did she have to take it out on him? out of the corner of his bright blue eye, wreathy saw her shiver, and smirked slightly. he pretended not to see and turned towards her as she spoke. "race?" wreathedmoon grunted, acting as if she sounded stupid. "now why would i want to do that?" his voice was blown away by the wind as wreathedmoon sped past harvestmoon. this was his trademark style. act as if you didn't want to do it then run.

h a r v e s t m o o n - - - [ <3 ] "H-" harvestmoon yelped, "Hey!" She finished her cut off exclaimation frustratedly. Little cheater! Letting a long, playful yowl slip out of her maw, swimming all the way from the throat, Harvestmoon whipped around and, with a jolt of her lean body, was off, gliding over the meadows and making great leaps and bounds over each stream she encountered. No. The rusty she-cat wasnt lithe like most ZephyrClan cats, but she was strong, and her thick, long legs were muscular, helping her shoot forward through the land and take massive jumps. Instantly, she wondered where Wreathedmoon was going to go to, then chuckled. Where he would go? Why should she chase him? Let him chase her! "Hah!" She shouted, swerving off into a small grove of willows encasing a small, winding stream. But, as soon as she set into this path, she stumbled, forepaw instantly throbbing; broken. She knew this without hesitation, but somehow, this phased her none. What was it that she has tripped on? Soft, and plush, like.. fur. Shivering, Harvestmoon dragging her body, still laid flat against the leafy earth, to the lump. Sitting up she cringed at the stench of death that began to wreath her senses. Moving a shaky paw foreward, she brushed away a leaf. A patch of beige and crimson flesh appeared. Gulping down the rising bile in her throat, and pushing away the throbbing pain in her paw, Harvestmoon scraped away the rest of the fallen, sticky leaves. The heavy winds must have covered- her, with the leaves. But she was such a mangled mess that they stuck and held once they landed. Shaky and breathing heavily, her ankle twisted at an odd angle and pulsating uncomfortably. A bone prodded at the flesh angrily, a jolt of white-hot pain bursting up her forearm once in a while. But, this? Harvestmoon blinked and turned, finally brushing the scarlet-dyed leaves away from Larkstar's face. Her icy eyes were still open, but the pupil was milky and cloudy. The blue faded and glazed over. A bead of blood had dried on her ghostly white nose. Edging forward, Harvestmoon licked it away with a trembling sigh. What was this? The same fiends that massecred Ghoststar? Twisting her eyes shut, she stumbled backwards, whimpering faintly. "No, no. No.." She mumbled, stepping on her broken ankled and falling to the ground, crumpling up like a dead butterfly.

&&. the truth is i've grown quite fond <3he snickered, hearing her yelp of protest somewhere in the trees behind him. wreathy heard her come after him and grinned, going even faster until her pawsteps weren't heard anymore. then a whimper, and wreathedmoon stopped dead in his tracks. he spun around, bounding towards harvestmoon's scent as fast as he could go, which was surprisingly quite fast. the bitter scent of fresh blood hit him and wreathedmoon skid to a stop and saw harvest lying there, unmoving. then it hit him. was that the familiar patch of white fur he thought it was? "lark..star...?" he choked out, padded foward. wreathedmoon knew that it was too late, she was gone but out of instinct his large paw prodded her lightly. suddenly everything was falling apart. she was dead. leaving him, wreathedmoon, to become leader. he closed his eyes, asking starclan why this had to happen. "it's gonna be okay." wreathy whispered, not really believing himself. he burried his head in harvest's fur, trying to comfort her and himself.

h a r v e s t m o o n - - - [ <3 ] She blinked several times, clearing her blurry vision of the tears that streamed steadily down her cheeks, though only partly mournful of Larkstar. "Is no one safe?" She cried, turning to face the new leader with olive eyes of frozen fear. "These freaks have killed two leaders, and many more cats of all the clans, why wont they just leave us alone? We've done nothing to deserve this!" Her usually low voice was raised to almost a scream. Harvestmoon turned her head back, to stare at the gory carcass of Larkstar, and sighed softly, rubbing away the tears with her good forepaw, they finally ceased their flow. "How do we stop them? Another war will do no good until that Eclipseomen and her brother are slaughtered for good!" The dark ginger she-cat spat, imagining her claws ripping through the flesh of Shard's throat, oh how satisfying that spray of blood would be. Clenching her jaw, the warrior leaned on the deputy to stand, raising her cracked paw above the ground tenderly. "You need to go get your lives, quickly," She gazed evely into his shady indigo and ocean blue eyes evenly, jaw still set. "Praise StarClan the Gathering is quickly approaching. The clans will have to band together once more," She moaned, lashing her tail softly. "How do we get her back to camp?" She asked, then relized she didnt tell her about her paw. Riasing it slightly, she motioned at the bone prodding at he flesh on one side. "I broke my paw." Her voice cracked once as she said it.

on the boulevard of broken dreams </3
ooc; hope you don't mind, i god-moded just a tinsy bit at the end
It was too much to see her cry, but Wreathedmoon couldn't cry. He was solid. He was a rock. Emotions shouldn't-couldn't effect him because well, all of a sudden his responsibility was multiplied. It was as if the weight of the world had placed itself upon his broad shoulders. Things were really put into perspective now. But the disbelief that he, Wreathedmoon, was going to become a leader tore him apart on the insides and ate everything away. Why could StarClan do this now? He wasn't ready! "Harvest, calm. We're not going to let them terrorize us any more," His eyes sparkled with a new fierceness and determination that seemed to shine itself upon the whole territory of the clans, "At the next Gathering, the clans will band together and another battle will be fought, taking care of these freaks once and for all." There was a ring to his words, a sudden new wisdom and suddenly Wreathedmoon was changed. He didn't know what happened, but he was done sleeping in the back seat. He turned to her, absorbing all of her words. He glanced down at her paw, mouth gaped open at how serious it looked. But with a slight blink, his face was wiped expressionless once again. He glanced around and saw a big thing of cobweb, heck, he was no medicine cat but even a kit knew what cobweb was for. "I'm not professional or anything but this should do." Wreathy gingerly wrapped the old web around her mangled paw and raised his head, "I'll walk to to right outside the camp then I'm off to get my nine--lives." His voice shook slightly at the last part of his sentence. "This is something I have to do alone." Then he set off with Harvestmoon leaned against him, going as fast as possible but giving her enough time to not stumble again or be uncomfortable.
