A small, carefree chuckle echoed from his parted maw, flowing freely into his own ears. What a pleasing sound; his own amusement. Snapping his soft golden lips together at once and pursing them slightly, he glanced down to her beautiful bodice and back up to her pretty face, putting on a mask of utter agony at the fact he couldnt get to her. "Oh Cadencefury, must you toy with my heart? You make me cry." He let out a mock sob, eyes turning to minty green razors and staring right through her. "Listen, siren, get a grip, and leave poor fellows like Cedarclaw alone." He ended with a snarl, gaze dancing over to the brown tabby, invisible. Obviously, he absolutely loathed the weak little shrimp, but he loathed Cadencefury even more. Oh she-cats. Thinking they're just so powerful, got the world in their paw and kits in their belly. Ha! The bengal snorted, spitting then flashing her mocking grin, and slipping past, after flicking her nose with his tailtip. Rolling his green eyes, Junglescreech trotted to the trunk of the tree and plopped down, eager for the coolness of the shade to wash over his seething coat and chill his raging mind. More than anything he'd like to rip a nice chunk out of that witch's ear. Handsome head sliding to his outstretched forepaws, the spotted warrior sighed, waiting for the gentle relief of a nap.

Ah, so now he was being neglected? Well, there weren't very many apprentices right now. Actually, he almost never saw any, except at the full moon. Tempest needed more cats, VertigoClan outnumbered them by many, and Zephyr was bigger too, with many kits to become apprentices. Right now he would got no attention, so he hauled himself back up into the tree and crawled back into the elder's den. It was always lonely in there, all his other elder friends dead. Once inside, he peered out and looked below, watching all the warriors, going on patrols and hunting, Some just talked. A look of sadness entered his golden eyes. The only thing he could do was remember when he was a valiant warrior, fighting for TempestClan against all the others, but now in the wars he could do nothing but share his wisdom, which no one ever came to him to listen. All he could do was watch, watch MaliceClan thrive and try to take out the clans, just sit back and watch. There was just nothing left but memories.

A young apprentice sat outside his den, casually cleaning one of his paws. The shadows that dipped over the camp transformed his coat from it's handsome dark chocolate color to a deep ebony. A flick of his head sent a wave down his spine, his nerves alert as always. Turning his head to look at the elder's den, a pair of green eyes stared into the darkness within. A single cat huddled their, looking quite depressed. A slight tinge of bordom lit the apprentice's green hues as he sighed. He had, once again, forgotten to change the moss. Better late than never. Or is it? he thought, standing up and heading for the entrance. For a moment he could be seen. But then, with a flick of his long tail, he was gone. In a few minutes, Rabbitpaw reappeared, a bundle of moss in his mouth. Nasty tasting stuff; it left a taste in his mouth that he could chase away only with the warm flesh of prey. Nonetheless, he was used to it. Having to do it often had made the taste bearable. Heading for the elder's den, the apprentice dipped his head to the elder within.

Gorseheart padded back into camp after a random wander. She had nothing to do all day, sometimes being an elder was rubbish. Yes you got to relax all day, do nothing. She knew she was too old, but sometimes Gorseheart missed the hunting and fighting. She had gone out and caught a mouse, not much but... it was a mouse. She wasn't even hungry.
She placed the mouse on the fresh kill pile and moved to the elders den. Rabbitpaw was in there, on his own cleaning out. She felt slightly sorry for him, not alot though. He shouldn't have to clean out on his own. Gorseheart moved to a corner of the den and curled up.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nightpelt yawned and stretched as he came out of his den. Where was Rabbitpaw? It was his first time as a mentor and he wnted to get it right. He climbed the tree of their camp untill he came to the elders den. Rabbitpaw was working. He was glad his apprentice was doing something like that. Tempest didn't have many apprentices, but responsible ones were great. He watched Rabbitpaw.

Rabbitpaw, busy with the duty of changing the moss, almost didn't see his mentor. However, as he was scraping up a spare bit of the ragged plant from the corner, he caught a glimpse of Nightpelt's fur. Immediately he stiffened. He may be an impatient and short-tempered cat, but he didn't want to displease his mentor. The tom continued to pad around until he had scraped up all the used moss. It didn't take that long; there wasn't a ton of it for just one elder. Gathering it up in his mouth, he wrinkled his nose. The stench of this moss was even worse. Dipping his head to the elder once more, he went to exit the den. At first it seemed he would bypass his mentor. Instead, he turned to look straight at him before dipping his head in respect. He knew they had to train; it was vital. First, however, he had to dispose of the moss. Poised on a branch, he watched his mentor with a questioning expression, wondering if Nightpelt would say anything about them training.

Nightpelt watched Rabbitpaw as he cleaned up and then sat on a branch, watching him. Nightpelt thought for a moment, was today a good day for training? Rabbitpaw had already cleaned up... But he did have to teach him some time. Even if Nightpelt was not nessisarily impatient, some of tempestclan were. Nightpelt sometimes wondered why tempestclan catys were renouned for being mean.
"Hello Rabbitpaw," He said happily, "Are you ready for training? Would you rather fight or hunt?"

Rabbitpaw placed down the wad of moss with a bit of a sad expression. Apparently his mentor was one of the more perkier and happy-go-lucky cats of his clan. Still, he had a feeling that Nightpelt was somewhat like him, if only in the temper department. The young apprentice flicked his tail, brushing up against a small branch to leave his scent. "Hunting, I suppose." He said. In truth, he was eager to do either of them. He might not show it, but he was kind of happy that training for him was going to begin.

Nightpelt sensed that Rabbitpaw was not pleased with him, but he didn't show it. Maybe he shoudln't act so... happy? He really didn't know. But maybe hunting would take his mind off of it. He moved slightly down the tree. At least while they were doing so Rabbitpaw would not be stuck with jobs like what he just did.
"Well then," He said, "We better go before you get stuck with another cleaning job."

Rabbitpaw turned to pick up the moss ball again. Nightpelt was right; he didn't want to get stuck cleaning again. It made him feel worthless, as if he were only there to clean up mistakes and messes of others. It could get pretty tiring. Gathering his energy together, the tom leaped across to another branch with ease. At first this had been hard, but climbing quite often had helped cure him of his balance issues. Turning yet again, he leaped once more, following Nightpelt down the tree. In what seemed like no time, he had dug his claws into the last branch. Placing the moss ball down for a moment, he looked at Nightpelt. "No, cleaning is not fun. Sometimes I wish there were more apprentices." He stated, sighing.

It was time. He had already told the clan about his plan. The merge with Celestialclan. That would be announced tonight. Of course he had only done it for power. Power power power. The tom was thirsty for it though deep inside of him a longing to be with Vividstar emerged. That was unspoken to anyone. For the tom barely believed it himself. At the moment the plan was to be carried out just for the mere power aspect. Smiling the tom couldn't help but quickly make his way towards the tree. His head was held in pride and his eyes alight with the excitement. Finding himself on the lowest branch which was for making announcements he let a yowl out. Summoning his clan to him. Ready to make an important announcement. "Cats of Tempestclan! Gather before me!!" His voice was loud and grand. Waiting for a few cats to assemble he began to start quickly. "As you all know. I have convinced Vividstar of love we share. And because of this we will be merging clans. Now some may be against this. However if I've found that any single one of you have spoken about this to another outside of our clan I will get rid of you quickly. Believe me I will." His eyes narrowed quickly and an malicious venomous stare swept across his clan. "For this to happen it will be announced at a gathering. And as some of you have noticed the moon is quickly approaching. Harmonydance, Corruptedlie, Silkenvine, Rabbitpaw, and Silentstream will accompany me. The rest of you guard camp well and be ready for our return. For we will have Celestialclan's cats with us. Those who are attending let us go!!" With his news out there he jumped from his perch. His large maine coon frame was formidable compared to some of the others. But that was of no concern. Making his way to the exit of camp he was ready to leave, now where were the others?

Silentstream only heard small mutters of the leader's words, but she heard the words merging, and CelestialClan, and it certainly struck her as odd. Cream paws kneaded the ground, making small indentations in the dirt underpaw. The she-cat took one quick look at her apprentice, nodding to the tom, and stood up. From there, the she-cat stretched, her back arching magnificently. Rounding her shoulders, she bounded out of the den, her blue eyes calm. The gathering. She almost forgot about the few words the leader had spoken. Almost. It was a lot more different than completely. A fake smile plastered on her face, she looked around for someone to explain to her what the leader had announced. Knowing Perilstar, it was something cunning, something devious, and something completely impossible to the thoughts of all the cats in all of the other clans. But those two words. Those two words hung limply in her mind, poking at her, nagging her. Merging, and CelestialClan. Really. Could it be true? Could the cunning be paired with the kind? Was it possible? It really didn't seem the part, but knowing Perilstar, the tom had done something to the new leader. The only thought in the medicine cat's mind other than those two words, were the thoughts of the future paired with her thoughts on what the leader may have said. For one, she didn't want angry cats to go about their differences, and start a fight, whether it be in the camp, or anywhere in the territory. She needed to set that straight. And would she have to share a den with the other Medicine cat? And her apprentice, Aquapaw? She hoped Ebonypaw would get along with others, and surely hoped none of the others from CelestialClan would make fun of her apprentices missing eye. They would surely get a mouthful from her. The she-cat glances at the ground, and realized she was sitting near the middle of the camp, and her neck hurt from looking at her paws for such a long time. They would be departing soon, yes? And what the other clans would think of the merge! They would be frustrated, surely. Only Perilstar would have thought of something such as this. But how did she manage? The clan would have to do so much in order to get ready for the merge. They would have to expand dens, would they not? Would Perilstar and Vividstar have to share dens? The thought nearly made the medicine cat laugh out loud, but she didn't, she kept herself silent, away in her own thoughts. So much to do. She wished she had heard the message, and for once, she cursed the almost soundless walls that encased the she-cat and her apprentice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cedarclaw emerged from the warriors den, and nodded. Guarding the camp was easy, and fun, but the tom was extremely upset by the words of his leader A merge? Surely that wouldn't work. Fights would break out, he was almost sure of it. The two clans were polar opposites. The tom smirked to himself, but once again, kept quiet. He didn't want to get thrown out of the clan. But it meant more prey! They would run out of prey, with the immense amount of cats joining them. The thought was crazy. And what would they be called? The names that struck him, made him smirk once more. Maybe they would be called something like UnitedClan.CoupledClan. MergedClan. JoinedClan. All the names just made him smirk harder, until one side of his mouth hurt, he had to become serious again. He wasn't for the decision, nor was he against it, and he surely wouldn't speak out.
OOC; She doesn't know there is no more Deergrace.

Rabbitpaw, eyes blazing with excitement, nearly dropped the soiled moss. A Gathering that he was going to? He could hardly believe it; a new apprentice at his first Gathering! By the sounds of it, it would be important too. As he neatly stashed the moss under the tree, he nodded goodbye to Nightpelt and headed toward the others. A prickle of curiousity ran through his brown fur as he thought about what Perilstar had said. Joining with CelestialClan. It was almost too strange to believe. Would both clans have enough room in their camp? Thinking about the amount of apprentices, he nearly wiggled with delight. No more long days of cleaning for him! Now he could focus instead on his training, like a proper apprentice. All doubts of this plan were banished from his mind at this prospect. He was too excited about the less amount of cleaning than anything else. Who knew? He might even be older than some! Reaching the entrance he kneaded the ground with his paws; impatience came off his pelt in waves.

A young warrior sighed as the meeting was ended, her whiskers drooping ever so slightly. True, she was disappointed she wasn't going to the Gathering. Yet, because of Perilstar's insane plan, she didn't exactly want to be there when the clans went into an uproar. In fact, she was glad that she was left behind this time. Heading through the shadows once more, the ginger tabby she-cat picked up speed until she was racing for the huge tree they called home. With one leap she sailed through the air, latching onto the bark easily. Scampering upward like a squirrel, she soon dived into the hollow the warrior's slept in and curled up in her nest. Mapleleaf had been up since before dawn, and didn't feel like waiting up for the other clan members. For some reason, however, she couldn't find sleep or the dreams it carried. Too many thoughts chased each other through her mind, like a kit does it's tail. Giving up on the idea of sleeping Mapleleaf rested her head on her nest, sighing and opening her eyes.
