Lilythorn was crushed. Northwind had Lostdesire with them now. All of his attention would be focused on her. Lily frowned, and let out a silent sigh. She would never be lucky in love. She listened to the sound of the forest, looking down to her paws, a single tear falling. She padded ahead of the patrol when she heard the sound of a bird. She leaped on top of the bird, killing it instantly, before it could let out a warning call. She covered the bird with earth and walked back to the patrol with a fake cheery smile. "So, where are we going next?" she asked in a horribly fake voice.

Emeraldfire noticed the way Northwind was looking at Radianteclipse. He glared at Northwind, scowled, nodding to Radiant and took off into the forest. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" he asked her with a bit of an annoyed tone.

Radianteclipse felt confusion running through her, she watched Northwind with wide eyes over her shoulder. She wanted to run to him, but something about the tension in the air made her stay put. "Goodbye." She meowed, and with a flick of her tail she vanished into the forest after Emeraldflame. "Hey wait up." She purred and in a few easy strides caught up with him. Dropping her mouse she quickly kicked dirt over it and padded along beside Emeraldflame. She was so glad to be with him, he was her Emmy, every time she scented him it made her purr. "So where we going Emmy?" she asked and cast a quick side glance into his mint green eyes.

Lostdesire returned Northwind's smile, her eyes laced with sympathy. She knew what was happening, it was obvious, Northwind loved Radianteclispe but she didn't love him back. Emraldfire was stealing her. Poor, poor Northwind, heartbroken. Lostdesire could easily relate to him, having been heartbroken multiple times in her life. She took a step towards Northwind, Lostdesire all of a sudden had a change in heart. She didn't feel as sorry for herself, but for Northwind. I'm sorry Northwind. She mouthed, but couldn't quite get the words out. The bittersweet mood seemed all to familiar, Lostdesire couldn't take it. Flashbacks of her past experiences entered the she-cat's brain, she pleaded StarClan to make it stop.

Northwind's voice broke her thoughts, and Lostdesire looked up. "Sure, I'll join." She noticed Lilythorn stalking away, and a lone tear dripped from the she-cat's eyes. Nooo! She wanted to scream, hysteria entered Lostdesire's every thought, this seemed too much like the past. Lilythorn's fake smile and voice hurt Lostdesire, she could feel Lilythorn's pain. "I'm going over here...." The she-cat breathed, her voice laced with desperation and sadness.

^{Confusion drifted slowly over Northwind's dreamy green lights like a haze clouding a field, his paws tingled, though he couldn't understand why. "Lillythorn," He called gently, taking an unsure step toward her,"W-why are you crying?" He inquired, taking another stride, he touched her softly with his tail, looking at Lostdesire, she, too, was on the brim of tears. Is it me? He wondered, had he done something wrong to cause such distress? Stiffling a sigh, he inclined his beautiful face, wide eyes twitched over the sky. Clouds were drifting in. No! He silently screamed. Clouds were that last thing he wanted at this point. "C'mon now Losty," He cooed, padding over to her, too. "Les go hunt girlies, we've only lost, then gained a member of our patrol, it's nothing to mope over, yes?" He asked softly, trying to cure their sadness.}

Lilythorn's heart had broken. Northwind would never like her... "I'm fine." she snapped. Tears of anger and brokenheartedness (is that a word?! xD) streaming down her face. Her head hung down to her paws. She was making a fool of herself. She wanted to run.. Wait.. She could run. Then she came to her senses. She wouldn't run. Her tears stopped and she looked up. "I... I... I'm fine..." she mewed softly. Her eyes fixed ahead of her, ready to take off and get the hunting over with, so she could hide away inside the camp.

^{Featheredpaw was searching for some prey. She enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of the place. Something was padding along. Quickly alert, Featheredpaw stalked a pulpy mouse that was looking for it's own food. She narrowed her eyes and pounced on the suddenly dead mouse. Featheredpaw sighed, wishing that the poor mouse was still alive. But after all, if she didn't kill it, the clan would go terribly hungry. She picked the mouse up by her jaws and went to see the partrol. When Featheredpaw got there, she only saw two cats instead of maybe at least three or four. "Maybe they finished the patrol," she thought. "I guess I'll go back now..." A scent of a VertigoClan member was nearby. Featheredpaw saw Lilythorn sadly padding back to camp. The medicine cat apprentice's heart ached, feeling sad for her deputy. "I better leave her alone."}

^{lostdesire had to smile as northwind murmured comforting words to her. she looked up and met his gaze shyly, and felt her insides warm and the thick layer of ice around her heart seemed to melt. what's happening? whe hadn't felt this emotion for what seemed to be a lifetime. was it love? lostdesire liked northwind, but it seemed too bizarre. Why would he ever be interested in her? what about lilythorn? a small voice warned the warrior in her head, and instantly the ice was back. no, she couldn't cause lilythorn to be as sad as she was. "yes, let's go lilythorn, northwind." she responded, eyes staring ahead at nothing really. i want him! or did she? lostdesire was confused, but she was determinded to not hurt lilythorn. poor lilythorn, she seemed to be frozen in a certain pose, ready to take off. "northwind?" lostdesire whispered, eyes bulged when she realized she said the name aloud. "nevermind!"}

^{Northwind almost jumped, if anything he tensed, as if stung, by Lilythorn, he icy glare and piercing words. Turning to see what Lostdesire was now doing, surely the same, glaring or something, since obviously whatever he'd done effected both she-cats. Instead, he found her gazing at him warmly, touches of live lighting up her gorgeous amber eyes, startled, but happy, he smiled upon her, drinking in her strangly un-flowery, or thickly sweet scent. It was bitter, like fear, but it was always that way, it tasted good.. Northwind inhaled deeply, flicking his tail. When she spoke, much to his disappointment, her voice was still dead. The warrior nodded quickly. "Come on Lilythorn, let's hunt." He told her softly, his voice was tender.}

^{Featheredpaw heard Northwind call for Lilythorn. She saw her mouse that was hanging from her jaws, she wanted to spend some time with them, even if they're warriors. She wanted to have friends, friends that they can support and fool around her, even though she doesn't like to be fooled around, she'll be alright. Featheredpaw stopped fantasizing. She dropped her fresh-kill and buried it in the earth. The she-cat apprentice went off to find some more fresh-kill for the clan, also hoping she will also get along with the other cats.}

Lilythorn nodded. "Let's go." she meowed, deciding to stay with the patrol and not running away like a silly little apprentice.


"Wherever you want to go, Rad" Emeraldfire replied, looking into Radianteclipse's beautiful eyes. He was too busy watching Radiant that he didn't really notice the tree before he crashed into it. Emeraldfire shook his head and opened his eyes. He started laughing about what he had just done.

^{The apprentice she-cat was even more saddened when she noticed the overcast above her. She did not show her sadness and tried to bear it inside. Featheredpaw ignored her emotions and continued to hunt for prey. She peacefully and quietly sat on the soft grass and began to listen for any scents or noise. The prey was hard to smell because of the fresh spring but suddenly, the grass rustled. Quietly and swiftly, Featheredpaw opened her eyes, got up, and targeted the prey. When the she-cat was about to crouch and pounce, she unexpectedly came in contact with a rock and tripped. Although she tripped, Featheredpaw still caught the prey, which was another mouse. "Heh." Embarrassed and proud inside, Featheredpaw picked the mouse up by the jaws and padded towards the other mouse she caught, unburied it, and picked that one up too. Her lower jaw now was feeling very heavy. She started to go back to camp. "I can go out later to feel the breeze," she said to herself.

Radianteclipse began to laugh at what Emeraldfire had just done, it had basically ruined the moment but it was funny and so like him. She couldn't jold back her chuckles, they just kept on rolling out. She brought a paw up to cuff the silly fool over the ear. "Lets go...." She began to say but got caught off as she caught sight of a mountain hair. She began to stalk closer to it, and then it noticed her.l With a hiss blown away by the wind she began to race after it, she soon caught up and brought it down with a knock to the head and killed it. She trailed back to Emmy with it. "Want to share?" She asked.

Emeraldfire laughed. He loved Radianteclipse's laugh. He shook his head. "Ok." he replied to her question. He was pretty hungry. He smiled at Radiant as he took bite of the HARE.

Radianteclipse giggled and lay down in front of the freshly caught mountian HARE. She began to happily eat it, but then another thought entered her mind. Did Emeraldflame know why things had been so tense back there? It was odd, strange even, yet she had no idea what had caused it all, she was surely missing something here. Something big. She swallowed what was in her mouth and looked around to face Emeraldflame. She almost forgot what she was going to ask when she started deep into his mint colored eyes, but she had to focus. "Don't you think things seemed a little tense back there?" She meowed.

Emeraldfire stretched out next to Radianteclipse. He was startled when she asked about the scene they had left behind them. "I... I uhh..." he started. "I don't know." he lied. Would Radianteclipse go back to Northwind? Emeraldfire loved Radianteclipse, didn't she know that? He sighed, no longer even hungry.
