"its no problem really." She meowed to Shatteredrose. Radianteclipse nodded in agreement with Serenewinter. She would help any hurt clan mate, no matter how much she hated them. However, she obviously didn't hate Shatteredrose, she was just slightly weary of the she-cat. Maybe they would be able to become friends after this. It was funny how Serenewinter was younger than her, yet she let the snow white she-cat take charge of her. It was just the way it was, and she didn't mind. However, stuck in her memory were the tims that she had taken charge when Serenewinter did not want to. "Its not too far now." Radianteclipse meowed.

Shatteredrose nodded, grateful that they were almost back. She stayed silent, not trusting her voice as it would probably tremble and she'd look even weaker than her Clanmates probably assumed she was. After she had recovered from this, Shatteredrose guessed she would probably be expected by the two she-cats to do them a favour. She would anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to try and make friends with them. After all, they were very nice, and not all of the cats in her Clan would have helped her like this. She remembered Burntash's rudeness, and narrowed her eyes.

Finally, away from all the noice, all the things that allowed her life to falter in its usual pattern. Emotionless amber eyes rolled as Lostdesire headed to well, nowhere in particular. She just wanted to get away from the the chatting, and the cats who tried to befriend her. Why did I let Northwind get into my head anyway? That question was left unanswered, Lostdesire somewhat enjoyed the company of the bold tom for reasons unknown. No. She wouldn't give in that easily. What's the point? She's probably just get hurt, again. Lostdesire was stuck in an endless debate inside her own head, she'd tried to end it before, but Northwind's personality was just too irrisistable. Lostdesire found herself wishing that the tom would catch up to her and talk. Just talk.

The she-cat snapped out of her thoughts, remembering that she overheard Horsetear starting a patrol, and somewhere in that conversation her name was heard. Nooooo. The femcat picked up her speed until she was racing along the VertigoClan terra, dodging various trees, undergrowth, rocks, all the things that could injure a cat under certain circumstances. Lostdesire glanced behind her every now and then, just to make sure they weren't too close to her. What would she do if they caught up to her? Just suck it up and slink to the back. That's what the dusky brown she-cat usually did.

Serenewinter padded out of camp with a fresh bounce to her step. It was disappointing that there were no other apprentices available to train with them, as that always made training a lot more interesting, but they would have to make do. She made no attempt to run, she wanted to save Mistakenpaw's energy for battle training, yet in a real battle you would have no time to preserve your energy. "Come on." She called to her apprentice and started picking her way through ferns and around bushes until she came to a small clearing in the trees, small enough for one apprentice to train.

Mistakenpaw fallowed his mentor, his thoughts turned to something that had been on his mind for a while now. He was lonely. He wanted someone who would talk to him and understand him. Abysspaw. Why did the name pop into his mind? The she-cat was everything he was wasn't. She seemed happy and peaceful and she gave him chills whenever he thought of her. "Serenewinter? When you like someone, I don't mean like when you like a friend, I mean when you like like someone. How do you tell them?" He didn't know why he was confiding in his mentor, he just needed to talk to someone.

Serenewinter was about to speak when her apprentice asked her a question. It wasn't the sort of question that she would have expected from him, it was strange for him to ask her something like this, but she wanted to build up a good trust with her apprentices, and for that she would need to answer the question properly. "Well you just have to be honest with them and tell them the whole truth, it may be hard, but just say what is on your mind, if she is a decent she-cat she will understand." She mewoed softly.

Radianteclipse padded out into the territory, taking in the fresh scent of the forest air yet again today. She really did hope that this time round nobody got hurt hunting, but hopefully nobody would climb up a tree, but she couldn't blame poor Shatteredrose. She waited just outside of the camp entrance for the rest of the patrol to come, she wasn't sure who would be coming, but she knew that Northwind and Lilythorn were anyway. She looked up expactantly as she heard a rustle coming from the entrance.

Lilythorn padded through the camp entrance, spotting Radianteclipse. She waved with her tail at her friend and padded over to her. "Any clue if anyone else is coming?" she asked her friend.

Massive, but not clumsy, paws carried the scar-laced warrior through the boulder-crammed exit of camp, awaying to see his pretty gray friend of the other side, slinking and sucking in, Northwind edged through the rocks, nearly tripping onto Radienteclipse, but caught himself. "Lilythorn is coming, I think," He informed her, letting his long tabby and white tail sway gently and serenely. Why was he so happy? Maybe it was the cheerful sunny weather, all the rocks would be warm by now, toasty on his paw pads. For once, his scars wouldn't be sore from the cold. Thinking about them made a pinkish scrach over a paw zing with mild pain. Drawing his tougue over it slowly, he waited for the rest of this patrol.}

"Yep Northwind is." She meowed and looked over at him as he came over to them. Radianteclipse chuckled as he spoke. "She is behind you silly." She meowed and brought her paw up to cuff him gently over the ear. "Anyway we are supposed to be hunting." She mewoed and began to pad into the forest. She could have sworn she colud scent that Emeraldflame had been here recently, but he wasn't anymore and that was the disappointing thing. She quickly picked up the scent of a mouse and stalked off into the undergrowth to catch it. Moments later she emerged from the undergrowth carrying a plump looking mouse.

"Nice catch." mewed a sweet voice. Emeraldflame took a step towards Radianteclipse, with a smile on his face.

^{The warrior shook his pelt swiftly at the slight indiginty, shooting Radienteclipse a playful mock glare,"Well 'scure me! I never know what the old coot's doing!" He swiveled his head to purr and shoot Lilythorn an apoligetic glance. "Sorry," He muttered, feeling awkward. He didn't know Lilythron well, he didn't even know how she'd react to his playful jokes and harmless sarcasm. Some didn't find his antics at all hilarious, his thoughts regretfully turned on Poppyfur, was she really hurt? He'd talk to her later, he don't himself, Don't forget! I won't, I won't! jeez, quit rattin' on me! He told himself, scuffing the ground. He looked up from a catipillar he saw and to his contempt, then when he realized his feelings, horror at himself, Northwind caught sight of Emeraldfire. The warmth of his dislike for the other tom burned against his cheeks, hot, then cold. It frightened the naive tom, why did he feel this way?}

Emeraldfire smiled at Radianteclipse. "Hunting patrol?" he asked. He nodded to Lilythorn and Northwind, and then his attention was focused onto Radianteclipse. She was beautiful. The smoky gray pelt. Her green eyes. He blinked and looked at the other part of the patrol. "Mind if I take her?" he mewed with a small chuckle.


"It's ok Northwind." Lilythorn mewed before spotting Emeraldfire. She looked at the way he looked at Radianteclipse and she felt Northwind get tense and... nervous? Maybe even jealous? She felt her blood get hot, then she realized what was happening. She had a crush on Northwind! She shook her head as Emeraldfire asked something. "I guess you can, Emeraldfire." she meowed and looked at Northwind, waiting for him to approve or not.

^{Voices chattered endlessly, they wouldn't stop, no matter how many times she prayed to StarClan they'd stop. Why? The voices began getting closer, and closer. Lostdesire shuddered and stopped to listen, trying to identify the voices. All of a sudden, she heard a creature squeal. Spinning around, the she-cat saw Radianteclipse behind her. Before long Emraldfire was there as well, congradulating Radianteclipse sweetly. Lostdesire sighed, and padded out into the opening where she soon saw Lilythorn and to her enjoyment, Northwind as well.
Lostdesire nodded to each cat in turn, a coming dread chilling her bones. What would these other cats say or do? She blinked away fresh tears, her amber gaze fixed on the ground.}

Radianteclipse gasped as Emeraldflame padded over to her and she began to purr with delight. "Thanks." She meowed, if such a thing existed you would have been able to see her blush. "I thought I could scent you around here." She added, still purring. She then turned to see Lostdesire behind her and dipped her head to her for her comment. She turned back to Emerald and gave him a playful headbutt. "I'm sure it will be ok for you to kidnap me for a while." She meowed. She looked around at the other cats, she was so blissfully happy, yet, why were the others so tense? She saw the way Lilythorn was looking at her and shuddered. Was it so bad that she wanted to be with Emeraldflame? Or was she missing something?

^{The tabby spotted creature stiffled a gasp, how dare he! Why? Couldn't he just join the dang patrol? No, no, he was gonna go sweep Radienteclipse off her paws. Northwind was gasping for air when he thought of what else might happen, struggling for breath, and trying to keep from toppling over as dizziness closed in, the warrior knew how ridiculous he looked, how could he help it? Now he understand the flashes of darkness that filled his mind when Emeradfire was near. Locking his joints, Northwind stoood still finally, closing his eyes for a moment. "Go ahead," He told Radient and Emerald softly, hoping they didn't hear the hurt in his voice. He knew Radienteclipse would be oblivious, at least, she was head over paws for this tom. She'd never notice Northwind again. After realized what Emeraldfire really wanted, Northwind hardly notice the quiet Lostdesire pad in, nor Lilythorn's icy gaze searing his flesh. His world was still spinning when he turned, trying to hold his head hi and forcing a 'cheery' smile over his face, he was astonished and subtly pleased when he noticed Lostdesire. "Hi," He murmured. "Would you like to join our patrol?"}
