a whole, brand new life. again! it was almost too much to take, or it would be if it hadn't taken what felt like lifetimes to get to where they were now. but it had, and the days had inched by like the minutes during a drought, but much worse because everything was crumbling around them as the cats all dove headfirst into the unknown. it didn't phase him much though, and some of the lands they passed through had even seemed a bit familiar to him, which was no surprise when one considered that the big tom had been treading the earth for nearly his entire life. so traveling for moons on end was no biggie for him, but for the cats around him? well it was no mousehunt for them.
at this point, though, the cats seemed to almost begin the recovery process. that, too, would take a long while but the white-furred fellow had complete and utter faith in the clans' willpower. the part about this whole deal that stressed him the most was the fact that borders were once more enforced between the three groups that had been created after such a long period of almost-harmony between them. it saddened the albino greatly to know that future generations would never know such an awe-inspiring alliance between so many. it had truly been a feat, and still now he marveled about it.
now, though, he was eager to explore at every chance. it was, after all, in his blood to wander. he had been doing it for so long it felt odd to live within established boundaries, and it was refreshing to once more never know what would appear beyond the next wall of trees, or what lay just over the stream, or behind the new waterfall. it was an adventure, and he lived for it.
wandering around the small, work-in-progress camp of what was now known as timberclan, the white tom peered around for their leader, flamingarrow. if he could share an adventure with anycat, it would be her. the way determination glowed in her emerald gaze, fire and kindness emerging from her mouth, sometimes at once, he adored her presence, though remained ever-terrified that he came off as little more than an annoyance for her, he sought her out nonetheless. "flamingarrow?" garnetbone called cautiously, shooting questioning looks at the cats around him, as if silently asking if they had seen her. "come out come out where ever you are!" he crowed playfully, and paused for an answer.
YO if she already has her lives let me know so I can edit it, I wasn't sure.

starclan had blessed them once more with a magnificent home for her clan to inhabit. the trees smelled like home, with their sweet pine scent, now met with the roars and delicate splashes and trickles of the cool waterfalls and their accompanying streams. it felt like home, though their arrival was not even that long ago, but it suited the hardy, well-built mountain cats, with their roughened paw pads and muscles well-attuned to climbing. sure, there were a few new arrivals, close friends made along the way and such, but in flamingarrow's own case, it was garnetflame, who made her heart sing and her eyes dance incessantly. they were an odd pair - who really knew if they were considered a couple - but their chemistry and relationship was one that the bright ginger girl was uncertain she could live without, especially now, as she prepared herself for the grueling task of going to receive her lives from starclan.
her lives, oh, her lives. how had she forgotten? the spunky calico she-cat that had led the clan from vertigo to timber had up and disappeared, without so much as a few words of dismissal or warning, not to flamingarrow and not to anyone, really. however, it was flamingarrow's own duty now, to lead the new clan to wherever starclan took them, and she viewed the task as one of adventure, but, for now, as she paced through the new camp, giving guidance and curt orders to her clanmates as they scurried back and forth, the green-eyed girl had other things on her mind.
her ears perked as her name was called, and she froze where she was standing, the newleaf sun beating down shyly from the clear blue sky with only a few white, cumulus clouds as its companions. "garnetflame!" she answered, a smile delighting itself upon her pretty face as she caught sight of the handsome albino tom. the tabby girl bounded over to him, her grin widening as she rammed lightly into his side. "am i really all that hard to miss?" she teased, as her emerald eyes glittered with amusement, contrasting with her bright and fiery tabby pelt.
\m/ god i missed this

suddenly her vivid tabby vermilion pelt came into his field of vision like an explosion, demanding all of his attention at once. he had once foolishly thought that someday the shock followed by the fluttering of his heart every time he laid eyes on her would someday fade but he had been in contact with this lovely cat for moons now and the thrill of being near her continued to flay any coherent thoughts he might have had and turned his mind into mush. perhaps it was the flame behind her eyes, the sorrow mixed with anger and soaked through with happiness that constantly shown on her face, and the easygoing smile that said she could handle anything the world would throw at her at this point. his heart swelled- she would be a wonderful leader, she was already on the way there now.
"not a chance, fire of my heart," he chortled, laughing with a wagging tail (a horrible habit he'd picked up somewhere along the way of growing up in a city). though he was, of course, teasing, somewhere the cheesy statement struck a chord with garnetbone and he coughed, a bit awkwardly, perhaps, and looked over his shoulder instead of meeting her eyes. "so uh! anyway, would you like to go for a walk before heading off to uh, y'know, do the thing." he grinned, teasing again. it was no secret he was pretty skeptical about the existence of starclan as a former loner, and he loved to joke about it with clan cats. while some became terribly offended, most understood and laughed with him. he respected their beliefs, after all, just struggled to find anything at all believable about them himself. "hm? just a short one, we can poke around this territory. I've been dying to sight-see all the waterfalls." just the thought of finding the most beautiful waterfall in the territory with flamingarrow at his side sent a tingle down his spine- she looked so very pretty with the new-leaf sun spilling over the ginger pelt. the albino swallowed the thought and looked at her inquisitively.

as he addressed her with his ornery little nickname, she giggled, rolling her eyes jokingly at the silvery white tom. "you spazz." was her retort as she gracefully made her way closer to him, pressing lightly into his side as a more personal greeting. her eyes lit up momentarily as she remembered something before a goofy grin accompanied it. "oh! welcome to, the uh, same clan, clanmate." she purred lightly, her tail flicking amiably as he wagged his, much like a dog.
she let out a quick sigh as she remembered. "right. that thing." she mewed exasperatedly. what would it be like, to be blessed with another eight lives? flamingarrow knew it would hurt, but she was tough! or at least, she'd always felt tough. shaking her head as if to clear her thoughts, she met garnet's gaze with a sweet smile. "but, sure!" the ginger she-cat replied, energy coursing through her veins at the thought of exploring their new territory, especially with one of her closest friends. "hey, mr. thoughtful, i hope you can run fast!" she cried before whipping about and dashing off as quickly as she could into the woods.

the big nearly translucent fellow snorted rather ungracefully at her comment, which he was happy to shrug off anyway. spazz wasn't really what he'd like to hear her calling him but hey, beggars couldn't be choosers right? he'd take what he could get! so he suited himself by simply rolling his enormous scarlet lights pointedly at her and then flashed a wolfish grin before stealing a 'kiss'- swiftly drawing his tongue over one of her ears before bounding away a few steps. "oh cmon!" he howled, lashing his long tail, "having nine lives is the biggest adventure anycat could wish for! your skepticism tells me you're not the cat i once thought you were," garnetbone added the last bit with a mask of false solemnness, shaking his head slowly and tsking at his friend.
"well I'm here to get it off your mind, never fear!" the big tom crowed, smiling at the crimson tabby with warmth glowing in his oddly hued eyes, which met her emerald gaze fondly. of course, they promptly widened with a jolt of surprise when she suddenly sped out from under his gaze and away from him, fast as lightning. "well then!" he huffed, and took off at an equal pace, though his stride was longer and he caught up with her in no time, the new territory blazing past him. the colors around him were thoroughly muddled, and he took the opportunity to throw himself at his companion, tackling her to the ground. thankfully he had just done so as he felt moss beneath his paws, and the pair cascaded into the ground surprisingly gently, springing lightly upon contact with the mossy earth. "aha!" he purred victoriously, chancing another, softer lick upon her other ear. sheepishly, he looked down then, "ya had a spota dirt." he mumbled, smiling in spite of himself. he quickly rolled off of her but remained lying upon the ground, only a few whisker-lengths away from the leader-to-be.[/justify[
that was a tiny bit of powerplay I GUESS I can do something different if its rubbing you the wrong way brah i thought it was harmless though heh

she purred delightedly as he licked her ear before swatting playfully at him with one of her paws and quickly dragging it across her ear several times - a grooming habit she had formed long ago. she cracked a mischevious smile at the tom as he howled away. "oh ho, nine lives? the more the merrier of course~!" flamingarrow mewed in reply, though in her head she dismissed the joke with a quick, apologetic prayer to starclan. being a leader was no joke at all. and thens he was off, racing through the territory.
as he caught up with her quickly, she stretched, stretched, stretched to reach his pace, but alas, her legs were not as long as his, though she silently thought they were. while she found herself preoccupied with her thoughts, garnetbone attacked, or, rather, tackled her, and all that could be heard was her laughter, spilling wildly from her mouth. his tongue lapped at her ear once more, and where she laid pinned to the ground she reached with both her paws, trying to rub her ear with one paw and stick the other in his face. "right, right, and you don't have enough dirt on your face!" she teased, smushing his face around with her paw before he rolled away to the spot right next to her.
flamingarrow turned about, laying sprawled on the forest floor with her belly on the ground, looking into his scarlet eyes. "hmm." she mused aloud, eyes twinkling before growing solemn. as they continued to stare into each other's eyes, she felt the twinge of butterflies entering her stomach. embarassedly, she glanced away, looking a bit sheepish and her face growing hot. what was happening to her? she didn't quite know the answer, but instead turned about and stuck her very tongue out at the tom before laughing. "now what? she asked, grinning.
