NAME// --- Infernochaser AGE// --- 26 moons GENDER// --- She-cat CLAN// --- Zephyrclan DESIRED POSITION// --- Deputy SHORT DESCRIPTION// --- A slender sandy-brown she cat with striking olive-green eyes.
DESCRIPTION// ---Infernochaser‘s pelt has a sleek, smooth texture that covers a well-defined, toned and lean body. Her movements are fluid and graceful like flowing water, but her bite is as deadly as the next cat's when it comes to hunting. Her fur is thin which helps her from overheating, but colder weather can be more of a problem. She has a long torso that shows off the intense hues of her fur, from the light sandy colours of her under-fur to the chocolate tips of each hair, giving her coat a shimmering finish. Under her chin, her fur is more of a light tan colour as it extends to her underbelly. Her tail is also very long and its tip darkens into an almost-black colour. Her most stunning feature is her eyes, a gleaming, clear shade of pistachio, somewhere between yellow and green. Her white whiskers are quite prominent against the red hues of her pelt. Infernochaser is average-sized. She has a well-built frame, but she isn't brawny or muscular; her body is lean yet powerful. PERSONALITY// --- Kind yet Devious | Vengeful & Crafty | Focused & Practical | Stubborn & Patient | Tough & Proud | Savvy & Intuitive | Loyal & Protective
Kind yet devious | Infernochaser keeps herself balanced; knowing when to be forceful and stand her ground; and when to use gentle, using soothing coos that console anyone. She has a soft heart, though she may not always show it. She genuinely cares about some, while there are others she just can't stand. She has a general friendly outlook about her until someone betrays her. Her shrewd disposition can be concealed at most points while she plots and plans away at the many of ideas that swim about her head in the midst of conversation but not let anyone in on her plans. Vengeful & crafty | It would be a rare and odd thing for Infernochaser to let you away unscathed after you anger her. Either with nasty words or sharp blows, should you chose to mess with her plans – or her mind – within reason, it will only be a matter of time before she comes after you. She can be a very patient cat, waiting a long time before she decides to strike back, sometimes tricking another into thinking they can trust her. But Infernochaser only forgives once she gets even. One should think again before they do something to annoy her because it's more probable that they will be hearing from her in due time. She has a good memory of all who have wronged her and sometimes likes to wait until that certain other needs something from her before turning her back on them. She may forgive, but she never forgets. Focused & practical | When Infernochaser has a goal or an aim she is very good at sticking to it without being swayed by anybody else. Once her mind is set, it is very difficult for anyone to change it. When she has made a decision she sticks to it and sees it through until the end unless something or someone has the means - and perseverance - to stop her. However, it’s not to say she rushes into decisions, for she is calculative and witty both in casual situations and in her scheming. Her decisions are always made with a clear mind and logical thinking. She is capable of thinking clearly in the most circumstances. Stubborn & patient | Infernochaser can – and will – stand her ground. If she thinks her way is the right way she won’t waste any time to make sure her point gets across to even the most hard-headed of cats. Infernochaser knows how to deal with others and if someone should question her, they would be quickly set straight. She can be sharp and not-so-sweet or she can be a best friend. She would never let her tongue slip and one would never accidentally find something out from her; she would never give up a secret if she gave her word to keep it. She is always true to her word and will only make promises she is sure she can keep. Tough & proud | You can mess her around, abuse her with all you have and even turn your back on her, but none of this will make her show hurt for more than a second. Not at least will she show it but she will certainly not let it consume her life. She has a solid shield surrounding her, keeping her safe from all means of mind tricks. If you think you have hurt her feelings you are right, but she won’t let you say so and certainly won’t want pity. Infernochaser is a sly enemy and anyone trying to trick her is mistaken to believe they can get by her; she can pick things up and realize what they’re up to with the slightest hint. Savvy & intuitive | At times she may act oblivious to events within her clan, but she is usually more aware of what is going on than she lets on to anyone. She is a shrewd character and not much slips by her. Her eyes often have a knowing look resting upon them; like she knows something the other doesn’t, and she is hardly ever surprised or astonished when something she suspected reveals itself to be true. She holds a calm disposition and a level head at all times. And one way or another, she’ll find out whatever needs to be found out. Loyal & protective | Infernochaser's loyalty to her clan, to Starclan has never wavered. She keeps faith in Starclan through thick and thin, as she is sure that whatever happns, it is in Starclans' hands and she would have to accept it eventually. This she-cat's loyalty to her clan is neverending; she would do anything for them even a cost; she will always support and protect her own before anyone else. Her family and clan-mates are the most important thing for her and she makes sure that nothing will get in between her loyalty to them.
EXPERIENCE// --- kit Infernokit was born to senior warrior Owlscratch and his mate Greyash. They were good, strong warriors of Zephyrclan. There were four in the litter: two boys and two girls. Owlscratch and Greyash were proud parents and loved all their offspring evenly. She was named Infernokit after the colour of her pelt. But after a while, it became clear that her grey coated brother was completely deaf. He was weaker than the others of the litter. Later, he died after a predator picked him off when Greyash had been asleep and he had wandered outside in the middle of the night before anyone could get to him. They were sure he had wandered too far and been snatched by a fox. The family learned to deal with the loss and go forward. Infernokit was quick-learner and a cheerful young kit, she got on well with all that came her way, charming the birds off the trees. As her apprenticeship neared, it became clear that Infernokit had a certain ambition in her that her brother and sister hadn't displayed. apprentice As an apprentice, Infernopaw excelled with a sly hunting technique and a way with others. She usually kept to herself, but was always smiley when it came to socializing. She was a good apprentice to teach in the ways of the clan; she picked up battle moves and different techniques quite easily and her belief in Starclan had remained strong through her life. This, however, wasn’t to say that she was without trouble. Early into her apprenticeship, Infernopaw had a bit of a run-in with one of her ‘friends’. Flashpaw was another apprentice that could become resentful of another quite easily. He liked being around Infernopaw for a while, that was until he started acting bitterly towards Infernopaw when she got any attention at all. Flashpaw was not the most likeable of characters and he hated the thought that someone might be better than him. But he was bigger, stronger and more experienced than Infernopaw, so why was she getting all this attention? Why wasn’t the attention on him? Confused and scared, she did her best to avoid the bigger cat, knowing who would win if there were a confrontation. Flashpaw became increasingly cold to her until he was on the verge of being brutal. She was out hunting with her grey-furred brother when Flashpaw appeared. He had followed them from camp. It was a stormy day, and the clouds looked ready to burst. But it didn’t seem to change the fact that Flashpaw was out here, confronting them with all his size and might. He was nearly twice the size of Infernopaw and was much stronger. She knew her only choice was to use her small build to slide out of harm’s way. She and her brother stood side by side, pressing their pelts together for re-assurance, facing the jealous tom that had come to hate Infernopaw for no apparent reason. They were quite a bit away from camp, so calling for help wasn’t an option. Infernopaw didn’t want to use any battle-moves again one of her own clan, even though she was entirely capable of doing more damage than someone else her size. Instead, a crack of lightning gave get the opportunity to race away from Flashpaw’s unsheathed claws. She glanced back to see her brother in close suit and Flashpaw struggling to keep up for he may have been strong, but he wasn’t fast enough to catch her, who was as quick as the wind. But when she and her brother reached camp after a long lope, they found that they weren’t being followed. They never found another trace of Flashpaw. His mother and father were devastated, but the loss of Flashpaw didn’t seem to have too much of an effect on anyone else. From then on, Infernopaw simply worked on diligently until the day of her warrior ceremony had arrived. warrior Infernopaw became Infernochaser, for the simple reason that she was quick on her feet in a hunt. She had decided to let the past be the past and move on. And so came her days as a young warrior of Zephyrclan. She worked as hard as ever, but kept up her joking ways. She was a likeable cat and most of the clan got along well with her. She was lighthearted and humorous while performing her duties and cunning and crafty when just being around camp or out of her own free will. But she didn’t make too many friends, rather, she made quite a few alliances on a sort of ‘ you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’ basis. She was quite trusting of most, and while wary of others, she never let on her cautiousness. As she reached twenty moons, her father fell ill. He died shortly after retiring to the elders’ den. Her mother was also getting on too, and now without Owlscratch, Greyash seemed to slip further and further away from her three living offspring. She then died when she was on border patrol by the lake where she drowned, before she was moved to the elders’ den. With both her parents gone, Infernochaser remained the way she had been, even while she thought of them and the sadness it brought and kept her faith in Starclan. The sadness wore away to leave respect for her parents and after a while, she was as easy-going as ever. She was given her first apprentice soon after her mother's death, which she presumed was to keep her busy while she mourned. Shellpaw was a bright little thing. Infernochaser often saw the apprentice as being quite alike to herself and she was as proud as any mentor when the day of Shellpaw's warrior ceremony arrived. OTHER// --- RP SAMPLE: Her pelt had been regarded as symbolic by her mother and father mostly, but the leader at the time had seen it as a flame, like she was on fire when she was on the hunt, perhaps. Infernochaser just went on about her own business, letting everyone else make a symbol out of her. Everyone else was caught up in gossip, or pondering everyday things like patrols. Infernochaser herself often took part in these varying conversations that were filled with nothingness. But the words, though she barely took notice of them, were always imprinted in her mind. She never forgot what they had said nor what they had done. Who 'they' were was a matter of whether or not she was acquainted with them, whether she trusted them enough or if she just wanted in on what was going on when they wished to keep her out of their business. Of course, she thought now with a little smile, she had always found out somehow: eavesdropping, listening as they let little clues slip carelessly from their maws, she even went to her last resort of charm; fluttering eyelashes for the toms and sharing tongues or simply chatting with the she-cats. Her means were never malicious though. Infernochaser had just been curious, and maybe a little proud, indignant; she didn't want to be in the dark about anything.
Nothing much compared to a day when one was woken up only to be told to help the elders. Their comments were much the same as they always had been: complaining of the heat or complaining of the cold. They were right suckers for gossip too. But comments like: “I can’t set one paw outside without burning it in this heat!” or “If that snow gets any thicker we won’t be able to see our own paws!” It seemed that the elders were always quite concerned about their paws. Well, she wouldn’t like to burn hers, of course. That would mean she would be incapacitated and wouldn’t be able to go on border patrol or out hunting. Yet, she knew that they were simply exaggerating on the warmth of the rocks. From where she lay in a patch of sun, sprawled across a warm rock, Infernochaser could see some of the clan, tottering about in their daily jobs. There was so many of them, yet if she took anyone away, it would not be complete. If, one by one, she imagined them gone, then there would be no clan. The thought intrigued her; together they were a clan, alone they were just cats. Though she was not too far away from a group of cats eating - actually she was within hearing distance - they would not see her without really looking. She could smell the hare that one male was gnawing at and she could hear words carrying on the wind towards her. "Yes, I always believed her to be resilient. Even when her father, and later her mother, passed away she bounced back... Yes, I do think her belief has never wavered... quite devious indeed, but only for a laugh." The voice was of an elder, she could tell by the rasp lacing his tone. Some parts of what they were saying came to her as just a mumble but she could grasp that they spoke of her.
Her rust-coloured ears flicked absently, as if she were flicking at a fly, but she was listening in to what they were saying. The conversation was continuing in a quieter tone now and she could barely make their words out. She lost interest. Infernochaser inhaled deeply and rolled onto her other side, yawning as she did so. The sun had disappeared behind a cloud, and rock was slightly cooler on her fur than it had been on the other side. She found that she had warmed up enough and the sun and rock held no more appeal for her. She lifted her head to see that the group of elders and senior warriors had dispersed, leaving behind a few scraps of meat. Infernochaser leaped off the rock gracefully and made her way over to a mangled hare that had been discarded. She quickly lowered herself down the cool grass and finished it off. It would sustain her until she found something else to bring back to camp. But for now she was contented to simply think about hunting. [/blockquote]
