NAME// dewpaw AGE// nine moons GENDER// she-cat CLAN// celestialclan DESIRED POSITION// apprentice SHORT DESCRIPTION// a frail-looking, but pretty dark tortoiseshell with pale blue-green eyes; faulty hearing.
DESCRIPTION// build;; As runt of the litter, it's easy to say that Dewpaw has always been on the smaller side of the spectrum. Thin and petite, she really does look rather breakable; more like a fresh-faced kittypet than a tough, forest hardened warrior. Even full-grown she'll hardly be much bigger than an apprentice. Some might say she looks more like she belongs in Zephyrclan with those other bone-y cats, only she lacks those long spidery legs of theirs. She may lack bulk, but her lithe form makes up for the fact. The feline looks weak (and is to a point) but there is a hidden strength in those thin, supple limbs. Moons of practice with climbing the trees and making her way along the steep slopes of the land have hardened the muscle she does have, and she walks with a grace unexpected of her small form.
fur;; This little she-cat is shrouded in a dark coat comprised mainly of dark brown or black, it's hard to say precisely which of the two her fur really is. In the light the light it takes on a ruddy hue giving it what appears to be a sable hue, but in the darkness she easily blends in with the inky shadows of night. The best mid-ground is to consider the swarthy color to be sable and leave it at that. However, while the dark fur is the color that dominates her pelt it isn't the sole hue of her fur. Here and there the darkness is broken suddenly by splashes of ginger -sometimes with darker tabby stripes running through the lighter colour. Other times the orange patches seem to rise faintly from the sable hairs, breaking up her pelt in a far subtler fashion. Whatever the case, the pattern of a dark tortoiseshell she-cat is obvious.
The pelt itself is short and rough, good for harsh heat in the summer months, but a rather poor form of insulation in the winter; leading her to be the sort of she-cat likes to be near others if only to keep warm. For the most part her pelt also looks... scruffy, although it's not to say that she doesn't try to keep looking well-kempt. It just doesn't stay nice and neat for very long after grooming.
eyes;; Her eyes, it seems, never got around to darkening from their kit-hood blue. She lacks the characteristic amber orbs of most tortoiseshell felines. In fact, her eyes did the exact opposite, transitioning to a lighter color than a darker one. They're so pale that - at times - one has to wonder if they've any colour at all. In the right light though, it can be seen that her eyes do have a hue to them. Pale blue and green mixed together in a middle ground between the two colors.
PERSONALITY// a little loud;; This little feline doesn't mean to be obnoxious when she walks up to you and hollers in your ear without warning. She just doesn't know how else to talk. Since kit-hood, Dewpaw has suffered from some faulty hearing, although she got off lucky and wasn't born deaf. In turn, however, she has trouble hearing not only others but also herself, which means she'll speak up far louder than necessary since she can never be sure that others hear her unless she can hear her own voice. So don't tell her anything that you'd rather keep as confidential as possible. With her trouble hearing, what she thinks of as a whisper will end up being yowled across the entire camp and... well you can't say she let the secret out to the public on purpose.
ditzy but sincere;; There are times when Dewpaw ends up being that cat who means well but just says the wrong thing. She's just not the... sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to wisdom. She learns well, she's intelligent, but naivete is something that sticks with this she-cat at least whilst she is young. Maybe in her warriorhood she will outgrow this childish mind-set and mature when it comes to levels of wisdom, but that's a long ways away. For now at least, one requires large stores of patience to put up with her occasional block-headedness; her slowness to catch a drift.
stubborn tomboy;; To say that Dewpaw is tenacious is an understatement. Bull-headed might be a better word for it. Once she's got her mind set on some sort of goal she won't stray from her resolve, and it would take a hoard of Starclan warriors to stop her. It doesn't help that she doesn't always realize when others are trying to convince her -but indirectly- to change her mind. On could certainly never get her to stop acting like a tom and spend a little more time with those of her own gender. Loud and raucious, rough and tumble; this little she-cat isn't afraid to get down and dirty with the guys. In fact, she loves it.
EXPERIENCE// dewkit;; Dewkit was born as the only sister in a litter of three, with her brothers Veilkit and Rowankit just inside the borders of the Celestialclan forest. Born to the loner Fate, she was the runt of the litter; weakened further by the foul weather and harsh conditions of the night. Her mother was discovered by Titianfoot, a young Celestialclan warrior who for a short time was also deputy. Fate became Fatesong and the three kits were raised in the clan never being told of their rouge-bloodline; at times the little she-cat was left wondering at the reasons for some of the warriors not liking her family. Whatever the case, Dewkit found no reason to linger on her observations and focused her time and energy into becoming a great warrior. With two brothers and no other kits in the nursery, the tortoiseshell learned to enjoy the company of males and their play fights which occasionally grew out of control.
dewpaw;; -no experience yet-
