SHORT DESCRIPTION// a stocky, vividly colored calico with a bobbed tail.
DESCRIPTION// Pyre is actually fairly appealing to look at, for her pelt is one of many vibrant hues. In a pattern similar to that known as torbie, an inferno-like orange mixes in close quarters with a softer marmalade color, contrasting sharply with the silver and hazel tabby which melts into darker browns and blacks, splashed along her spine, falling down her bodice to fade into frosty white along her underbelly, throat, and muzzle. The colorful mix dapples all of her long, muscular legs but each of her paws retains that crisp, sparkling snow white. These warm, autumn-like hues match her calculating green-flecked golden gaze charmingly but perhaps it is only her build which gives her an odd appearance. For while at first glance Pyre is beautiful, it takes a moment to realize that she has a very odd frame. Perhaps because she is a bobtail, her spine seems shortened, her hind legs fairly longer than her front, and her gait has a noticeable hop to it. Her ears are rather sizable, and after having spent her entire life being called a hare or a bunny, Pyre won't take a single bit of teasing referring to her body. It has troubled her forever, but with renewed confidence, she takes pride in not her strange lack of tail or hobbling walk, but the rippling muscles and enormous claws she controls.
PERSONALITY// fierce, bullheaded, determined, set on revenge, temperamental, rash, thoughtless, selfish
EXPERIENCE// Her mother was Lynxstar's younger sister, Oakdapple. She was killed in a freak accident on TempestClan land during a scuffle while Pyre was only an apprentice, creating her fixation with TempestClan themselves. Pyre's father was never made known to anyone, although Pyre believes that Lynxstar knows. After Oakdapple's death, Lynxstar continued to raise Pyre and though she could never replace Oakdapple, has become as close to a mother as an aunt can be. Pyrepaw was named Pyrethroat several moons late, when she was about nineteen or twenty moons old, due to complications of her apprenticeship when spent several weeks in the medicine cat's den and then disappeared for almost a moon. To this day, not a cat in VertigoClan has heard an explaination. After she earned her full name, Pyrethroat has done nothing but work to build her reputation within the clan, for she has plans to climb to the top. Eventually, through much manipulation of those around her, Pyrethroat became leader instead of Lilythorn when Lynxstar finally passed. While her paws are supposedly clean, man to this day suspect she was not quite honest when it came to the change of ranks. Her leadership was very brief, though, as she those Flamingarrow as her deputy and was shocked to realize the lake was flooding. Cats of all clans took refuge in her camp and though she was pleased to have control over all of them, the pressure of leadership was beginning to crack her wits.
As the journey to their new home began, Pyrestar began to disappear more and more, speaking to those around her less and less until one day she told those closest to her that she was finished, and she was. She left without a trace, without a glance behind her. That leg of her life is long gone, and she is beginning a new one. She's dropped the suffix from her name to become Pyre, a fierce and headstrong rogue who slowly seems to be losing her sanity, or her faith in the very least.
