eyes. piercing, striking, penetrating; like blue chips of ice, but twice as cold.
fur. short in length, sleek in texture. blue-gray in coloring, with darker charcoal tabby stripes.
build. tall and muscular; broad shoulders, large, strong paws, and a broad skull.
everything else. short, thick tail. a scar, curving along the outside skin of his right ear, from the battle with celestialclan. carries himself with immense pride and aggression.

JAYBLUE IS A BULLY. He grew up being accustomed to winning at all things; but as he aged, he slowly realized he could not always come out on top. Thus he took advantage of those smaller and weaker around him, putting them down, raising his own self esteem by lowering their's. Examples of such would be his own siblings. Jayblue's greatest, but certainly not only, fear is failure; he must be first in all things, or he is first in nothing.

JAYBLUE IS SARCASTIC. Often, sarcasm is a mechanism of defense. If that's true, it's Jayblue's main weapon- besides his claws. His tongue is just as sharp, and his words are often harsh and biting. Say something completely obvious? Jayblue is bound to jump on you with a comment that mocks your intelligence. Say something intelligent for once? Jayblue will certainly insult you anyway. He can certainly dish it out, but he isn't afraid to take it either, and will often use his greater size as a threat if the other cat won't back off. Jayblue has no fear of conflict, and won't back down from a fight or a challenge.

JAYBLUE IS CRITICAL. You might have caught the juiciest, fattest mouse in the entire forest, but whether he says it or not, Jayblue's probably thinking he could have done better. His skills in hunting and fighting, making him well balanced across the board, only make him more insufferable. It is, indeed, extremely rare for him to hand out sincere, serious praise, and if Jayblue does, you might instantly know that he respects you.

JAYBLUE IS RUDE. It goes hand in hand with the other things, but is still worth mentioning. When you get right down to it, Jayblue is just plain rude and insulting. He won't hesitate to brush you the wrong way, or say something simply out of spite. When he does find something he truly cares about, or someone- watch out, because he'll become a jealous fool in ten seconds flat.

JAYBLUE IS BIASED. Something a bit different about you? He's noticed, and he's probably already mentioned it. Jayblue will always look down inherently upon rogues, loners, half clan cats, and those with muddy backgrounds/pasts. The only cat of less than pure descent he has ever managed to respect is Voidstar. Though he may get along just fine with rogue cats if they persist enough in trying to get to know him, he'd instantly talk down another for having kittypet blood, way back on their great grandfather's side. He's about the most prejudiced cat you'd ever care to meet, and then some.

JAYBLUE IS PROUD. Proud of his blood, proud of his family, proud of his clan, proud of his skill, and proud of himself. He holds himself with dignity, and never lets his tail droop for an instant. Jayblue would sooner die than show weakness to another clan, and when asked, after a fight, how he's feeling, he might be injured gravely but reply that he was 'fine.' No, it's not just other clans that he keeps up a strong front with- it's his own clan members, his own kin.

JAYBLUE IS AMBITIOUS. Besides the fact that he always feels he can do everything better, Jayblue is extremely ambitious. From the moment he saw kin of his made deputy, he longed to be trained by Dreamfeather. Despite his dislike of her for her friendship with Islandsplash, he'd never show it; he hopes to someday be made deputy, and of course, leader. To rule over Tempestclan, hungrily dominating the other clans as well... this is Jayblue's ultimate dream.

EXPERIENCE//

jaykit. As a kitten, Jaykit shared the nursery with his two siblings, Maplekit and Splashkit, who were both far smaller than him. Moonkit and Cloudkit, two motherless kits, also occupied the nursery at the time, as well as as one single, small she-kit, Mintkit. Besides his own brother, Maplekit, Jaykit was the only tom of the whole bunch; and he often jeered that Maplekit wasn't even a tom, for he was the largest of the bunch, and beat his brother easily. As he grew up with the other she-kits and his puny brother, he began to grow used to a winning streak, and being the toughest. He often picked on the other kits childishly, and got into trouble all around camp. Many a time, Frozensilk, one of the elders, would catch him in the clearing, pinning down his sister Splashkit until she squealed. Several cats about camp complained about him; though his littermates were well behaved and quiet, Jaykit was a troublemaker and a trickster, and some warriors felt it was because he, like Moonkit and Cloudkit, was motherless. His mother, Falconcry, had died when they were two moons old, leaving them to their father, Rivershadow. Jaykit had little time to know Cloudkit, however, as she died from sickness not much after. Sometime later in his kithood, his cousin, Dreamfeather, was chosen as deputy. Jaykit immediately idolized her. It was also around this time, that he learned about the pure warrior blood in his family. He took to Dreamfeather because she also shared the idea that full blood warriors were better than rogues and half clan cats. As he and his siblings turned to their sixth moon, and prepared to become apprentices, he clamored to be made the deputy's.

jaypaw. Despite his longing to become Dreamfeather's apprentice, he was instead given to her brother, Owlscreech, to mentor. Splashpaw was apprenticed to a pretty female at first, and then later re-apprenticed to a half-clan warrior named Islandsplash. As their apprentice moons wore on, Jaypaw's bullying became more and more hurtful for both Maplepaw and Splashpaw, who drew closer together for it. Jaypaw was especially amused by the fact that his sister had been given to a warrior whose blood was less than pure. His humor, however, faltered when he noticed the growing friendship between his cousin and idol, the deputy, and Islandsplash. Disgusted by the lowering of standards among his family, Jaypaw became reclusive and a loner. He spent many evenings training alone, sneaking away from his mentor. Jaypaw felt rejected and abandoned by his father, Rivershadow, who much preferred Splashpaw over himself. Still setting himself above his siblings and his other denmates, Moonpaw and Mintpaw, he didn't make a single companion his entire apprenticeship. Once, when Splashpaw asked if he ever grew tired of it, Jaypaw simply told her uncomprehendingly that 'loneliness was underrated.' Near the end of being an apprentice, as he drew nearer twelve moons, two new apprentices were made, Cherrypaw and Aspenpaw. He tolerated the both of them far more than the current weaklings, particularly when Cherrypaw was made Hailghost's apprentice. He didn't have much time to get to know them, however. Moonpaw had already moved on and become a warrior- Moonbeam; and Mintpaw was soon made a warrior as well, Mintleaf, marking just a moon to go until he was given his warrior name.

jayblue. At last, Jayblue was a warrior. Naturally, as were his pathetic siblings, but he didn't care much for that. About the same time, the nieces of the leader, Voidstar, were made apprentices; Brazenpaw, Secretpaw, and Martenpaw. He was less than impressed by the new apprentices, and glad to be moving on to greater things; joining the other warriors in the warrior den the night after he sat vigil with his siblings. Already his sister's pitiful mentor had been given a new apprentice to mentor, and much to his disdain, Martenpaw was assigned to Dreamfeather, and Brazenpaw to Voidstar. ("What did those wretched rogues do to deserve being made apprentices to the highest ranking cats in the clan, that I didn't?") Currently quite a young warrior, Jayblue's story is still unfolding.

My fourth Tempestclan cat, also related to all of the others. xD Cousin to Dreamfeather and Hailghost, and brother to Splashmist. So sue me. I couldn't resist.
