Lashpaw likes nothing more than to sit back, relax, and watch the world to see how it works. The earth is an interesting place, although many cats fail to notice how spectacular the land is in which they reside. He's first and foremost a thinker, a fighter only second, although he's happy to embrace this part of his nature too. He's always sizing others up. Will they be a friend or enemy - albeit more a nuisance than proper antagonist, can he trust them with his back turned? The black apprentice is always on the lookout for new information; and he'll use his dark coloration to blend with the shadows and eavesdrop at times. He believes that, although brawn certainly helps, it's the information that truly wins wars.

This dark-furred apprentice is intelligent and he knows it; he's not shy about revealing his smarts either. Although he won't go around parading through the camp and bragging about how much brainier he is than you, he won't shy from proving himself more than capable when it comes to thought. Certainly he'll be more than happy to correct someone. His intellect is his greatest strength, and also his greatest weakness. He can combine smarts and imagination to go through many scenarios in battle and think up amazing strategies, but Lashpaw has a hard time communicating with those of "lesser" thought processes. It can't be called arrogance, as he's not the boasting type, but he'll often have a hard time putting anyone else's opinion above his own. As far as he's concerned, no one who lacks his intelligence can tell him what the better plan is. After all, he's a 'brilliant' strategist. He doesn't value the opinions of others, in fact, he'll try to push his own ideas onto a companion if they give him even the slightest chance. This pride also leads to the apprentice underestimating enemies and rushing head-on into a fight without taking all factors into consideration.

quiet but sharp-tongued
With his unintentional snobbishness and preference for observing everything, Lashpaw has a tendency to be on the quieter side. This doesn't only extend into how often he talks, though. He's often more soft-spoken; a cool head and even-temperament are better than being a fiery loud-mouth. As far as he's concerned, the loud cats are loud simply because they're dolts who crave attention and know no better way. Needless to say, while he won't pick a fight outright, he's got a good grip on sarcasm and wit. It comes naturally to this apprentice to make an off-hand sort of comment that could be offensive or might not be. It probably is, but one can't accuse him thanks to the way he words his mockery.

eloquent & imaginative
Lashpaw is rarely at a loss for words, he's got a fine grasp of language that can make him sound more mature than a tom his age should be. He's always thinking, always wondering and slipping into the recesses of his own mind. Often he'll be thinking about battle techniques more than anything else, new strategies that are non-traditional and thus more likely to impress older warriors. Needless to say, this apparently introverted nature makes him appear reserved to say the least. He's not shy, he doesn't mind company, but he thinks it's just easier to keep to himself when few can provide the conversation he seeks.
