that's my idea for the town, uniondale


a thought for the starclan meeting place, which will be across the lake. like in the books it'll be more of a journey what with traveling herbs n shit. and also like in the books how everyone's a little bit scared their first time to the moonstone right? I was thinking it would be a similar ordeal for this place because the water is so reflective and light so ambient and mysterious that its disorienting at first therefore a little freaky.
JUST AN IDEA OK.


an idea for the gathering place. it would be around a pool with some rocks n shit. if not this would be a cool spot inside of the zc territory or something

I like the town looking like that because maybe it's quite old and quest and traditional so it's really rather quiet so that would mean we could also have loners there living in abandoned buildings? and it can mostly be filled with older retired people something idk.

I like the spooky jagged place, it should be called like the Jagged Hollow or the Jagged Cave or something idk.

I was also thinking like mirror cavern? or something like that? I dont want it to be completely spooky just because you know it'll end up being a sacred place. cave of pointed teeth is good though, not too scary I suppose haha or like
starclan's maw? starclan's mouth? starclan's fangs? something of that nature would be cool too.

what do you guys think as far as roleplaying the journey? I had some ideas but I wanna hear if yall got any thoughts xD

i was thinking typical open roleplay with threads like we always do, but then have specific events that happen to them all like encounters with twolegs and their kits or some really obnoxious kittypets or rogues. they could also have issues finding food or water or somewhere safe to stay so they get some help from local cats? idk, but definitely have set events that are going to happen that are interesting and will make sure the journey keeps making more and more progress no matter what.

I adore your picture of the gathering place, Lynxie. This is just an idea, but I was thinking, what if the leaders decided to have gatherings in their new camps/territories, instead of in a set place? For example, they all agree to meet in a place they rested which becomes a camp for, say, Vertigoclan. So they meet there one moon, and then they revolve through the remaining spaces. However, they quickly decide to find a new place, which will lead to a little mission with maybe three selected cats, one from each clan, looking for a mutual grounds for the gatherings? The reason they decide not to meet in each other's territories after a few times is because it's too crowded, the other clan cats complain about the unfamiliar territory, and maybe one of the host clans uses it as an excuse to attack, thus ending the truce between the clans? Of course you might immediately be thinking Tempestclan or Vertigoclan, the more volatile clans, but it might be far more interesting if it was Zephyrclan distancing themselves first. Nevertheless, if we did do this the attacking clan should be the one with the largest numbers, one that can afford turning both other clans against it due to their greater number and the advantage of it being in their territory.

Anyway that's just a little plot idea I had to get some drama going, the gatherings up until that one wouldn't have to be played, they could just be assumed as the clans settle into their new lives, then the gathering attack is played once it's time for the ball to get rolling and for there to be new material and chances for fighting. It would be especially dramatic since former clan mates might end up tussling. Add onto it, reject it, give your opinions. C:

For the medicine cat place, I don't think the name should be too long or official sounding, because it'll probably be referred to a lot in conversations. Example, "When is the next meeting in The Cave of Heavenly Words?" Sounds a bit silly.

but dawn okay so I do like this idea basically as an excuse to get some fightin and scuffling and stuff you know because it'll be such a shock after everyone became so ~buddy buddy~ on the journey BUT I feel like for one thing all the clans would be kind of protective of their new camps? and want them to remain relatively secret? but yeah I'd be willing to overlook that for the sake of plots BUT another thing that would definitely get in the way of this would be the fact that every time we try and roleplay a gathering the site practically dies. you know? like I'm down for this idea but I don't know how we'd be able to make it work I guess? but yeah we'll definitely keep it in mind and if by the time the first gathering time rolls around if we're active enough we'll do it :3

edit: OKAY NOW LILY I'm gonna like type out my idea here and you can pick at it to see if it'll kinda fit into your idea? yeah?

okay well what I had in mind was to come up with a few set significant places along the journey i.e. mountain passes, a hidden lake, a city border, a small moor, etc etc. say there are sevenish. for each of these I would make a board, ordered according to when the cats would reach them. however first only the first board would be open, the others locked. that location would be free for roleplaying whatever you want, including forging new relationships, dangerous happenings, and figuring out this strange terrtain, etc. after x amount of time I would unlock the next board, then there would be TWO boards open for roleplaying, one would be sort of in the past though and after I opened up the second board the first board would be used only for finishing up still-running threads, okay? no new threads in the first board once the second is opened up. after another x amount of time I would open up the THIRD board and leave both of the other ones open still, but no new threads in them. are you following that? we'd do that and so on. once all the threads in the first board were finished I'd probably just delete the board etc etc until the cats finally reached their destination.

in order to properly keep interests in the roleplay during this time I would be keeping track of all the open threads and at will pm one of the roleplayers in a thread of my choice and ask them to allow ________ to happen in their thread. something exciting that would happen on a journey! you know, hawk attack, rockslide, etc. this way, roleplayers wouldn't see it coming if it came at all, and they would have to be on their toes in case something happens in their thread!!

this all sounds complicated in the way that I explained it but it would actually really be quite simple. I'd just have a set amount of checkpoints along the journey which translate into boards, and I would open them up one at a time. when a new one was opened I would close the previous ones to NEW threads but leave them open for FINISHING threads.

Dawns idea: Yes they would want to be secretive about their new camps but it wouldn't have to be in their camp, it could be somewhere closer to the border that is large enough for all the cats to meet in kinda thing? That way they don't allow them any further into their territory and there could maybe be a little bit of arguing if some of the visitors were sniffing around their territory a bit too much?

Lynx's idea: I like your idea, but I was thinking maybe 7 boards is a bit too much? or would you delete some of them after they reached their new territories? Because I highly doubt they would ever go back to using the first board after they have reached their new territory since they wouldn't journey that far back.

once the cats reach their destination all the boards will be deleted and standard setup like the one we have will be used. meaning three boards for the clans and then a small amount for out of clan roleplay.
