never been so used as i'm using you, abusing you, my little decoy It was impossible not to be curious of what was behind every rock out here. This was the farthest that Cherrytaint had travelled from her camp and she was not going to pass up this opportunity, especially now that she was a warrior and was allowed out on her own although that had never stopped her back when she was an apprentice. Quietly she snaked her way in and out of each of the caves, occasionally she would meet a stranger building a nest in one. It was still strange walking around and meeting cats from other clans, she doubted that she would ever get used to the idea. Sometimes they tried to be friendly with her, which was a mistake in itself and she would quickly dismiss any kind of ideas of friendship. Other times they would be hostile which was an even bigger mistake was and she would unleash her wrath on them. One way or another she was making her name known and hopefully by the end of this bloody journey no cat would want to approach her which was how she liked it. The exceptions to the rule being two tom cats whom she held close to her heart.
On her adventures she spotted a small hole, too small for the typically large male warrior to fit inside but it was just perfect for her petite size. Slipping through the hole it took a minute for her eyes to adjust to the lighting, her pupils widening to huge black pools so that there was only a small rim of emerald surrounding them. It was evident that no cat had spent long in here from the scents; clearly it was too small for most cats to fit inside. Looking around she followed the cave back to where it narrowed, and she barely managed to squeeze through as the cave walls pressed upon her sides. Wriggling she freed herself and was relieved when it widened again. Her cold, wet nose brushed over the rock walls searching for any signs of life but all she could scent was dampness. With the next step she took cobwebs covered her face and a group of spiders scurried past, heading for the exit. The female hissed in disgust and wiped the cobwebs from her face with a paw. The back of the cave came into view and she frowned, disappointed that she had not found anything interesting back here.
Turning around she retraced her steps and headed towards the light, eager to breathe some fresh mountain air. The tunnel appeared a lot shorter when she was leaving than it had when she was exploring and it was not long before she slipped out into the daylight. Sneezing and coughing, Cherrytaint cleared the dampness from her lungs and padded on, until she realised that she was getting some rather strange looks from others walking past her. At first she assumed that word of her infamous reputation had gotten around, until she caught sight of her paw out of the corner of her eye. The young she-cat grimaced and searched for a puddle in which she examined her appearance. Her eyes narrowed in response as she noted the black cat that was staring back at her, initially she was completely disgusted but then she figured that it would help to camouflage her against the rocks, since her bright pelt had a habit of standing out.

Flutterwing
Soft snores could be heard thoughout the small enclosures of the jagged caves. The rustle of fur and the scraping of claws bounced off like an echo in the cavern. Flutterwing slowly opened her light green eyes and began to look around, spotting many of her clanmates, friends and even some strange cats she has yet to meet. It has been a strange season with all the clans coming together and to Flutterwing it was as if they were one big, happy family. Nothing beats meeting new cats and seeing a new face everyday and it brought anticipation to the young tabby she-cat. It was nice knowing while they were together little fights broke out and secrecy was at a minimum. No one was accusing one clan for stealing each others prey when they all worked together just to survive this journey.
Getting to her light brown paws she quietly stood up, careful not to wake any of the cats near her. The tabby she-cat quickly padded around a large white tom and stepped over his flicking tail. Heading towards the entrance, Flutterwing gained a happy leap to her step when she finally spotted the light at the end of the tunnel. But she had forgotten to look down and without much grace, tripped over a small black and white apprentice who was curled up on the floor by himself. A loud "Mrrow" escaped from the young black and white cat as he quickly leaped to his paws, eyes narrowed towards Flutterwing who scrambled to her own small, soft paws. "Sorry Stormpaw!" Flutterwing exclaimed to the Timberclan apprentice as she quickly darted out of the cavern away from his demeaning gaze before he had any time to reply.
As she ran outside she felt the soft grass tickle her underbelly as she raced away from the jagged caves. When she slowed down she looked around at her surroundings. "Wow, this place is huge.." She meowed in awe. The trees streched up high into the sky and she wondered how far she could climb them. Suddenly a noise appeared nearby as a black cat raced past her and towards a pool of water nearby. She studied the cat for a moment while she stared at her own image. Flutterwing didn't recognize the she-cat and assumed she must be from another clan then her own that she has yet to meet.
Padding up towards the seemingly black she-cat, the young, brown tabby quietly headed towards her direction. When she was close enough she called out to her. "Hey! Don't think I've seen you around here before!" She quickened her step and bounded over towards Cherrytaint, halting in front of her. "I'm Flutterwing!" She added her voice filled with aparent delight of meeting her.

A orange tabby tom with white paws, under belly, and jaw was stretched out just outside the make-shift den. The sun was reflecting off his orange tabby pelt. Jaybreeze let out a yawn as he collected his limps from his stretched out position. He curled himself up to a laying position. He held his head up as he searched the area. He smile when he spot two other cats. He pushed himself up into sitting position. Jaybreeze gave his pelt a quick clean and made sure it wasn't sticking out everywhere. No need to look a mess when meeting new cats.
Jaybreeze padded towards the she-cats. He looked both of them over with a smile. He gave a small swish of his tail in a friendly manner. His brilliant blue eyes shined with happiness. He sat down a little away from the two she-cats. He didn't want to scare them. He sniffed the air and realized they were from different clans. He let out a purr after catching the tabby's name. He gave them a nod to the two she-cats.
"Well greetings, my ladies," Jaybreeze purred friendly. "I'm Jaybreeze. And who are you, my ladies?" He directed his question to to the two she-cats. Even though he knew Flutterwing name he didn't want to seem like he was eavesdropping. He wasn't being a flirt or anything, but just friendly. He wrapped his orange tabby tail around his paws. He turned his glaze from Cherrytaint and Flutterwing with a soft friendly glaze.

never been so used as i'm using you, abusing you, my little decoy Her muscles stiffened and her green orbs narrowed to slits as some happy-go-lucky female decided to introduce herself. Didn’t they understand that Cherrytaint had no interest in making friends. This whole journey was ridiculous and she felt weary from having to be uptight. If she wasn’t on her guard all of the time who knew what idiots would go away thinking they were better than her. Constantly there were cats surrounding her which for a female who liked her own space got very annoying after a while and in her opinion it had already been too long. Even when she tried to go off on her own there would always be someone there. She was even starting to consider that she did not like crowds or busy places; they always seemed to make her more aggressive. Since she was naturally aggressive you most likely wouldn’t want to meet her when that trait had a heavier presence than before.
”Oh my goodness, what a terrible shame that is indeed.” She hissed sarcastically as the other female came entirely too close for comfort. ”Cherrytaint. Hopefully next time you remember not to come and say hello.” She added bluntly. Getting back to her business she rolled through the puddle and shook the droplets of water from the pelt, the soot easily running off her to reveal a diluted grey, ginger and white pelt. Satisfied she then washed her limbs in the puddle before stepping out and lifting a paw to her face to remove what was left of the dirt. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the same female was still standing there, Flutterwing or whatever. Next they were joined by an orange tabby and she rolled her eyes, not caring whether or not they saw it. This was just getting to a level that she liked to refer to as ridiculous. She sighed wistfully wondering where Crowshroud had gotten to before turning on the other two cats.
Prowling closer she aggressively tilted her head to the side while narrowing her eyes at both of them. ”Don’t you dare refer to me as ‘yours’ again, especially if you value that adorable little face because if you cross me, honey, it won’t be staying that way for long.” She snarled in response, while holding her tail high up behind her and lashing it from side to side. Cherrytaint didn’t know where either of them came from but they were doing a great job of pushing her buttons. Not that it was hard to do such a thing but she thought it was fair to say that she had made her feelings obvious by this point.

A smile appeared on the young tabby's face when Cherrytaint mentioned her name. The older she-cat was obviously alone and her tone seemed to only fly by Flutterwing as she stood and watched her wash the soot away from her fur, revealing her calico and white colors. "You're very pretty Cherrytaint! It's as if a meadow of daisies threw up all over your pelt!" Flutterwing meowed, her tone presented a hint of kindness.
The calico she-cat seemed awfully lonely wandering by herself. She has seen her before and Flutterwing has began to notice how she tended to distance herself with other clancats. Did she think something was wrong with her? Or worse... was their actually something wrong with her? Flutterwing took in a deep breath and confirmed the tart aroma wavering off the older warrior. It smelled of an underground vole hole. Letting out a small cough she shook it away. It had to be self conscious, she was not bad looking from her viewpoint for a female and she seemed to hold a great air of confidence. So Flutterwing concluded that it was in fact loneliness Cherrytaint was feeling and the only way to fix that was for friendship! That was the best remedy she could think of because without friends then the world just wouldn't be the same. Everyone needed someone to talk to!
She was about to ask her a couple questions when a orange tabby appeared nearby. His air of confidence also was noticed when he began to speak. Flicking her eyes towards Jaybreeze she listened to him quietly for a moment then began to giggle from his gentleman like words and posture. She couldn't stop until Cherrytaint spoke once more. But this time it was directed at the honey sweet voice of Jaybreeze. Her eyes flicked towards Cherrytaint while she threw out her threat and pulled back a ear. Suddenly she burst into a new ray of laughter from the she-cat's outburst.
"Wow! I'd watch out Jaybreeze or Cherrytaint will snatch that pretty face away for herself!" She laughed again, admiring Cherrytaints verbal comeback. She had courage and Flutterwing admired that in a warrior.
"That was a great rebuke Cherrytaint! Way to stand up to your..uh..clanmates!" She added after her laughter finally began to die down. Flutterwing was beginning to like this she-cat. Though she did have a frightening posture and a scary demeanor, the young brown, tabby she-cat sensed potential for a possible friend.

Jaybreeze couldn't help but take a step back and let out a chuckle. "Oh please don't attack my face, dear, It's one of the things I got going for me!," Jaybreeze teased playfully. " I'm sorry if I offended you. I meant no offense to you. I promise, hun He gave a small bow of defeat. "I'm not a fighter, dear lady, I'm sure you would win, especially since I wouldn't want two lovely ladies to see me fight. I'm sure you both would make fun of me."
Jaybreeze turned to Flutterwing, "Find something funny, my dear?" He let out a small laugh. He smiled warmly at her, before turning to Cherrytaint, then back to Fullterwing. "You two are beautiful names for beautiful she-cats like yourselves. Also, please no not think of me as a flirt, for I am not trying to be. It's just how my words come out, I suppose.
Jaybreeze stood up onto his paws and padded up closer to the she-cats. He felt like them might not claw his face off. Well, nevemind, Cherrytaint might if he gave her a reason. "How are you too farring this fine day?"

believe me, i'm lying
”Oh and you look like a tiger fell on you and squished you.” She replied with a heavily sarcastic tone, mocking the silly compliment that Flutterwing had tried to give her. Perhaps it was just her being sarcastic in response or maybe it was just that she happened to be a little bit thick and that wasn’t her fault. Either way it was annoying for her and she turned to face the other female wearing an obnoxious smile. ”Why don’t you find someone else to play with, honey bunch?” She asked using the same condescending tone she would use to talk to a kit and pouting.
”Don’t you dare call me hun!” She screeched and aimed a blow at the tom cats ear with sheathed claws, intending to knock a little sense into him. Her tail lashed more than ever and she took a deep breath to stop herself from attacking Jaybreeze further since it wasn’t exactly his fault that he didn’t understand how she worked. ”Listen you stupid furball, quit it with all the pet names. It might be alright if you address your silly little friends in that way, but I promise you I am not and never will be a friend of yours. So for goodness sake straighten up and stop being so disrespectful to a stranger. Plus just because I am female does not make me lovelier than anyone else, I do not feel flattered in any way by this kind of talk and it just makes me want to hurt you even more. If you really don’t want to offend me then I strongly suggest that you leave me alone – both of you.” She spat, drawing herself up to her full height, which wasn’t very large but her big attitude made up for what she lacked in height.
Viciously she kneaded the dirt beneath her paws trying to distract herself from this anger she felt inside. She was fully aware that these were hard times and she had to try and be nicer than she normally would be but that was proving to be very, very difficult. She was very selective when it came to who she associated with and it took a miracle for her to like anyone. When she had finally calmed down a little she gave Flutterwing a weary look. ”How the heck was I defending my clan mates?” She asked and dropped her gaze to the ground while shaking her head to clear the confusion. Flutterwing’s slightly ditzy personality made her a little bit tolerable but not much. Jaybreeze was most likely confused around her because she suspected that his strange charm worked on most, but not her. The way he rambled on just frustrated her especially since she was a blunt kinda girl.

paths of destruction cities of seduction
Crowshroud had done his share of poking around the caves. They were mysterious and enticing, lurking shadows and webbed corners intriguing and secretive. But the darkness, the stale air - it wasn't something he particularly enjoyed. In fact it moved him so much, it moved him straight out of the networks all together. For once it wasn't because of his former clan-mates. Curled up in a patch of sunlight, he'd woken from a light doze some minutes ago. The warrior had lately experienced dreamless sleeps, but this time he dreamed all too vividly. The remnant details had been chased from his memory like sun burning through mist, until only one fact remained. It had been about his father. The nameless, faceless tom was lurking in his thoughts and now in his dream world. Yawning, the light sunshine illuminated the thinner patches of his seemingly black fur, turning them a chocolate brown. Slowly his pale eyes blinked into the bright rays, stoney green color no different in the glare than normal. Maybe just a few more minutes... The warmth spreading all over his toned body was beyond pleasurable and relaxing. The tomcat's lids were just beginning to droop when he heard an unmistakeable voice. Well...screech.
there's a world out there that we should see to the stars if you really want it
”Don’t you dare call me hun!” Crowshroud did allow his eyes to close, though a toothy smile crept across his face. Cherrytaint's ferocity was enough to send a badger lumbering hastily back to it's set - who was choosing to try to brave the storm? He had to admit, half these cats were idiots, and he didn't blame the diluted calico for her sharpness. The tom himself was a little more laid back, and secretly glad he was never on the receiving end of wrath. All the same, he felt the urge to see her. Well, he always did but that was better left unexplained - at least for the moment. Uncoiling the stiff tom reached along the ground, digging his claws into the spotty soil as his back legs kicked out for a stretch. Satisfied, he stood and shook the coarse blades of grass from his pelt. Padding towards some scraggly cover, Crowshroud made his way near the three cats. The two victims of their own desire were both young, the she-cat unknown to him. But the tom, he was familiar. The dark warrior recognized him from Vertigoclan, just a few moons older than himself. They had been in the apprentices' den at the same time at one point, though Crowshroud had never really spoken to him. And for reason, since his personality was a ride. Clearly Cherrytaint was just as fond of it as he.
If you really don’t want to offend me then I strongly suggest that you leave me alone – both of you.” Crowshroud couldn't help but let out a rumbling purr. That was one good thing about the she-cat...he didn't have to worry about other toms moving in on her. She simply wouldn't receive their kindness or flirting. Narrowing his eyes, the warrior decided it was time to make his presence known. Stocky figure emerging from the thin foliage, muscle rippled under his short fur. He was quiet until he came to stand a tail-length or so from Cherrytaint's side. "I know it's interrupting, but I think you both could use a little....insight. She obviously isn't in any mood for company, let alone jokes or the smallest conversation." His stone eyes shifted to Jaybreeze as he spoke, willing him to understand the hint to leave. "I think she's made it clear it's time for you both to go." He'd never sheathed his claws from his stretch, and when he flashed them a cheerless grin exposing his unusually large fangs - hopefully they understood. But in the back of his mind he wondered if Cherrytaint would turn on him, possibly accusing him of fighting her battles? He wished not, that was the least of his intentions.
