A movement stirred within the dark den of the warrior's den in Vertigoclan. The first thing to be seen was a pair of bright sky-blue orbs.Whatever creature that was in the den stood and moved toward the den entrance. A beautiful tan she-cat emerged from the den. Her body was built like a lion, but with faint dark brown stripes. Her paws and tail tip were, also, brown. This she-cat was a warrior of Vertigoclan and was called by the name of Lionfeather.
Lionfeather padded out to the side of the den away from the entrance. She quickly stretched out her limps, before she sitting down. She wrapped her tail gently around her paws. Lionfeather began grooms the remains of moss from her pelt.
She let out a small sigh. It as been roughly around 6 moons since she lost her kits. Her poor kits would have been apprentices now. How proud she would have been of them. They were so beautiful. Lionfeather let out a small smile at the thought of them. Lionfeaher hoped she would have another try with another litter. She would want nothing more then to raise her own beautiful kits and watch them have their own kits.
Lionfeather gave her pelt a quick shake. She mustn't think such sorrow thouthts. She needs to move ahead and think positive thoughts. Her clan needed her more then anything, plus maybe raising kits now would not be the best idea.

It wasn't boring, really, but as the auburn tabby tom strolled right through the crowds of cats both inside and outside of camp, Reflectedrain couldn't help but feel bored. He'd tried hunting, but it was odd with cats watching you go about your daily activities. Now, as he stood awkwardly just inside camp, the young VertigoClan tom frowned as he spotted an unhappy clanmate.
Her eyes were the bluest blue and her pelt nearly the same color as parts of his. Sure, she was pretty, but what had her looking so sad? It wasn't that he pitied her; Reflectedrain didn't want any of his clanmates looking so sorrowful, even in their current position. But, that was just the way he was. Trying to find the silver lining to every cloud, delving into others' problems so that he might be able to pick them apart and help them. Sometimes it was pointless or even hopeless, like in Spellwish's case. Shaking his head lightly, a smile appeared upon his face as he approached the she-cat.
"Those TempestClan toms haven't been picking on you, have they?" He mrrowed quietly as his own blue eyes danced, their emerald flecks glittering as he looked down at her looking so dreadfully melancholy. "If they have, I'll rough 'em up a bit, won't even think twice." Reflectedrain teased her a bit, winking at her before taking a seat next to her. "So, how are you taking it all? I'm alright. I mean, we're still home, y'know? But looking at all the others that are here, they just look so damn unhappy. Heck, I'd love a little adventure, wouldn't you?" He rambled, trying his dardnest to keep her uplifted. Reflectedrain couldn't quite remember what had made Lionfeather so sad, so he also tried his best to avoid it.

Lionfeather rose her head from her pelt as she looked at the auburn tabby tom as he approached her. She gave him a small smile. Reflectedrain sat near and began to speak to her or more like tease her. He seems to be always seems to be teasing or friendly.
Those TempestClan toms haven't been picking on you, have they? If they have, I'll rough 'em up a bit, won't even think twice.
"Of course not," Lionfeather mewed. She let her glaze soften from her sorrow glaze. Her icy blue eyes looked into his blue eye with the emerald flecks. "If so, ya like I could handle myself? Those fleabags don't have a chance against any Vertigoclan," She teased him back, before playfully flicking her tail against his nose, then wrapped her tail gently against her paw again. She let out a small giggle.
So, how are you taking it all? I'm alright. I mean, we're still home, y'know? But looking at all the others that are here, they just look so damn unhappy. Heck, I'd love a little adventure, wouldn't you?
"Actually, I don't mind them, much," LIonfeather mewed, "Of course they could smell better." Lionfeather purred, then stopped, "Yes, a little adventure would be a blast, I must agree. I sometimes wonder what is beyond our territory." Lionfeather looked toward the camp entrance. Would they really have to leave their home? Was Lionfeather really okay with leaving the land she was raised upon. The same land were the kits remain lay for their final slumber. She shook her head. (Sorry for shortness)

"well of course not!" he answered her with a smile, wriggling his nose as her tail flicked it. "ouch!" he yelped, frowning at her but his cerulean eyes still dancing with amusement. drawing his paw up he drug his sandpaper tongue over his forepaw, biting gently at an inch before returning his attention to his clanmate. "they haven't been too bad, really. i think one of the biggest fights was caused by one of ours, but to each his own." reflectedrain remarked, quietly remembering the, well, murder that wraithlight had committed. shard, or blackshard, or whatever they were calling that dreadful tom now, had deserved it, really, but the young warrior didn't like to dwell on that. what happened had happened, and it really hadn't shook anyone else up too badly.
reflectedrain glanced at her as she mentioned what lay beyond their own territory. "oh yeah?" he asked, tail flicking amiably. "if we ever leave and i see something worth telling about, you'll be the first i tell, a'right?" he meowed pleasantly, leaning toward her and shoving into her bodice slightly. "you think we're going to leave, then?" he asked, looking away. "i still don't know what's gonna happen, but they'll tell us before we go." he rambled, gesturing toward pyrestar's den where the leaders had gathered time and time again. his fur bristled slightly as he thought of leaving home, but everyone and everything that had tied him down here was gone, either dead or ran off somewhere else, so traveling wouldn't really end up shaking him much. shrugging, he kept his head turned toward lionfeather, his own eyes meeting hers.

Lionfeather chuckled at Reflectedrain playfully. "Oh, Reflectedrain, I never hurt you, or maybe you are turning into a soft kittypet," She teased him playfully. "Maybe I should go into the leader den and tell them you are as soft as a kittypet." She let out a playful purr as she wrapped her tan and brown tip tail around her paws.
"if we ever leave and i see something worth telling about, you'll be the first i tell, a'right?"
"You better, I want to know everything about the trip you go on! Maybe we could explore it together and find anything worthy of us mighty warriors!" Lionfeather mewed. She looked at Reflectedrain with her sky-blue eyes. Her eyes were softer then they were before. 'Hmmm, he's always been sweet," Lionfeather thought.
"you think we're going to leave, then? i still don't know what's gonna happen, but they'll tell us before we go."
"I think we have no choice," Lionfeather mewed, "I mean can we all really live in one clan territory, peacefully? When bare-leaf rolls in, we all will die of hunger." Lionfeather shuttered at the thought. Would the leaders risk their lives? "I just hope we don't leave until it's too late."

while he didn't think pyrestar would believe what lionfeather was telling her, he knew the calico she-cat would without a doubt use it as an opportunity to tease them. since she'd become leader, they really hadn't been able to be close anymore, and reflectedrain missed their antics and the good bits of conversation they always managed to get up to and lose themselves in. snorting lightly at the auburn female, he shook his head. "i don't think bothering any of them would do us any good. they're probably high-strung enough right now, don't you think so?" the tabby answered her, eyes filled with amusement. his eyes widened as lionfeather nearly yowled in his face with excitement. "alright, alright! you know i wouldn't dare leave out a single detail. if i did you'd find out and have my pelt as your new nest!" he cried as he shot her a crazy look laced with his typical grin.
as she grew more serious, he made an attempt to, and it was successful. he looked away, toward the pine trees towering high above them, and he felt like a kit again. "no." he agreed, looking down, his face clouding with emotions he didn't usually allow to overcome him. "you're right." he murmured, shaking his head slowly before looking her right in the eye. "i know i said i'd like an adventure, and it's all kinds of exciting, but my heart feels like it will always be here, in the mountains, in this very forest that i've grown up in." he told her, glancing back up and sighing. "i feel like i'm leaving my mother behind." he confessed, choking up a little bit but trying his best to keep a smile on his face yet failing. "and my siblings, too. even my dad died here in these lands. i..i'll just never see them again, and their spirits live here, among us." his face distorted even more as he looked back to her. "what if starclan doesn't follow us?" he asked himself, though he was focused upon lionfeather only.
reflectedrain pulled his head back, unsheathing his claws and sheathing them over and over again, his anxiety that had built up over time flaring from within him and making an appearance on the outside. "i'm sorry." he apologized. "i'm no good at letting things go." he admitted, shaking his head. "i just want things to stay the same, y'know?" reflectedrain sighed again, a half-smile returning to grace his tabby maw. "oh well, what's done is done. onward we go, right?" he said with a smile, cocking his head to the side and flashing it her way.

"alright, alright! you know i wouldn't dare leave out a single detail. if i did you'd find out and have my pelt as your new nest!"
Lionfeather let out a giggle. "Of course. Your pelt would be very comfy to sleep on." She let out a purr. She looked down at her paws as the conservation got serious. She licked her jaws in nervous.
"i know i said i'd like an adventure, and it's all kinds of exciting, but my heart feels like it will always be here, in the mountains, in this very forest that i've grown up in."
Lionfeather gently laid her tail on his side. She felt sympathetic towards him. She would be leaving her kits behind. She felt her heart began to tear in half. She let out a small sigh. "I know how you feel, Reflectedrain, it feels like I'm leaving my kits behind as well," She mewed sorrowfully for her dead babies. "I think we all are sad cause were leaving are past here, but we can't dwell on it. We need to look forward to the future."
"what if starclan doesn't follow us?"
Lionfeather looked back at Reflectedrain. Her eyes were blazing with hope. "Yes, I do. We can not let them think we are leaving them behind. I won't forget my kits or your family!" Lionfeather mewed. "I don't think anyone wants to leave."

he shot a grin her way as she mentuioned that his pelt would bge comfortable to sleep on. "i'm not sure if that's a compliment or what." cocking a brow, his look turned quizzical. "you callin' me fat?" reflectedrain teased, though wondering if she really did think so. glancing down at himself quickly so she wouldn't notice his eyes shot open as she mentioned her kits. he let out a barely audible gasp and gaped at her. "your kits!" he cried, his gaze softening once more. he looked to the side, his face distorted with a mournful expression. "i can't believe i forgot; i'm so sorry!" the tabby tom told her, feeling guilty about it. "the future." he agreed, a smile returning to his tabby-marked face.
he looked around them, watching the other vertigoclan cats along with the displaced cats, and couldn't help but chuckle. "i dunno, some of these sourpusses seem like they'd be happier anywhere but here." he replied, his own tail flicking. reflectedrain hadn't even noticed her tail on him earlier, he'd been so appalled that he hadn't remembered her kits. 'i'm an idiot!' he thought, shaking his head once more before a certain bob-tailed calico caught his eye. "i'm going to go check on the situation with pyrestar, alright? i'll catch you later!" he meowed brightly, glancing back to lionfeather before running off with a final swish of his tail.
