[color= Strands of lace-like cloud frolicked about, slashing the heavens subtly as the pallid swirls they were. Composing a striking portrait they were, alabaster scraping vivid cerulean glinting amid the fading luminiscence of the sunshine which smoldered so faintly; surrendered to the consumption of darkness which was swiftly to annihilate. A ghastly glimmer lie drizzled deftly upon the massive expanse of scabrous terrain swelling beneath. Mirrored upon her visionaries was the image of the clestial realm drifting above, observed in astonishment as the first of stars began to shatter the serenity of the heavenly cloak, most often having been pure ebony in hue. The lass, poised at a standstill stood transfixed by the bewitching spectacle for moments that ceased so rapidly. Avalanche stood, by now bathed heavily with the ashen shimmer of moonshine casting a brilliant glow upon her ivory hide. Her voids pierced through the gloom in radiance of steeled silver matching the tint of the moonlight itself. Lithe paws lifted her slender form into a briskly paced sprint, soundlessly stepping through the forest shadows. Tree trunks spun skyward in dizzyingly sky-scraping, lithe limbs of the trees sprawled out to mottle the tough-set earth with a myriad of light & shadow. Avalanche rushed through the foreign province, scented lushly of crisp earth, delightfully plentiful prey, and curiously, felines. Yet, they were the very last thing prominent within her mind, enough cats had she encountered to know better that she'd have to step up a bit of a battle; certainly simple as all others had been. In her mind, peril had been devoured by the delight encountered within as wind whipped fiercely at her flanks, hurling cascades of white fur to whirl with the breeze. Oh, what bliss such simplicity could bring, the sheer jubilee of stepping through the wilderness, the pure joy of being. . .free. Free, with not a care in the world, to let the world speed away & with the power to run to reach the end of the world. What could be better? To Avalanche, nothing like this. "And who's gonna stop me? I could run forever."
Word Count: 353 Muse: Bleh. 6/10 I know...it could be better. OOC: She's having a little fun. But it has to stop. She can't just go on like this forever, trampling about some stranger kitteh's territory x3 anyway, I'd like to see who's gonna come ruin all the fun? c; [/color]

Despite everything, he couldn't help to keep a smile present upon his tabby-marked maw. Afterall, amidst the rain and his rival Clans gathering upon his own territory, the VertigoClan tom had managed to make a few new friends. The pine needles below his roughened paw pads would have crackled slightly had it not been for the copious amount of rain they'd received recently, but as he ventured out beneath the pine trees and found himself alone to savor the peace and quiet, the needles below were silent.
Grinning to himself as the sun lit the last few moments of daytime on fire, colors combining in a blaze of gorgeous colors in the mountain's skyscape, Reflectedrain was pleased with his day. It had rained that morning, a depressing drizzle as always, but the clouds had dispersed by sun-high, much to the surprise of both his clanmates and rival Clans alike. It was a small ray of hope to them, especially those run out of their territory because of the flooding, but the young tabby warrior couldn't help it. He always tried to remain positive.
As his jaw opened slightly, he pulled in the scent of the pine forest, picking apart each piece of the unique puzzle, searching half-heartedly for prey and the herbs the medicine cats so desperately needed. To his own surprise, the scent of an unfamiliar female met him, and his ears perked as he listened for her. She had to be close for her scent had been quite strong. Ducking around a pine tree nearby, his eyebrows ruffled and his emerald-flecked cerulean eyes widened slightly, a grin presenting itself to his handsome face.
"I promise not to stop you, but at the same time I feel obligated to tell you that we've got about forty-odd cats gathered upon this land, and not all of them are as friendly as I might seem." Reflectedrain informed her with a chuckle before he approached the ivory femme. "I'm Reflectedrain. Who might you be, dear?" He asked politely, his eyes twinkling as they squinted when he flashed her another smile.

Amid her lengthened strides, shattering the rhythm to her pace which seemed so boundless, came to an abrupt halt. Avalanche's curved daggers punctured the earth, tearing the packed layers of with ease, scattering shreds into the air. She spun herself at bewildering speed to the direction in which resonance flooded her senses, muscular mass all over had begun to constrict, devoured by but a vague tension that clung to the atmosphere which had been previously serene. Avalanche hurled a frigid glance to meet the stranger's gaze unblinkingly, contrast to her voids; somber & gray glinted with a vibrant vigor. Ferociously cold in the dancing brilliance of his gaze.
The girl stepped forth, wisps of alabaster coursing throughout her frame likes streams of snow entwined with the luminosity emanating from the moonshine with the precise motion contained within each step. "A threat." She spoke, smoothly to herself, in but the faintest of whispers, could be easily mistaken for a breeze stirring the woodland's aura. Subtle, although evident, the menace was portrayed as the male had parted his maw to speak. His grin, plastered upon his expression slightly to brightly, perhaps to say, taunting her senses? But no, she wasn't to fall for such feeble attempts to arise her fury & fear, and so much more it took than this.
Her tassel, thick & plume-like swayed in the silence as she settled into a halt. "Avalanche." She murmured, "It's what I've been called." She mirrored his smirk for but a mere moment, before having it tumble apart into an austere facade to shade her expression once more. She allowed the silence to lull the tension into tranqulity for brief instants which seemed to last forever, her gaze dwelling upon the glimmers of color in his eyes, vibrant in contrast to her own. Devoid of life, at loss of warmth, desolate of color. She breathed in his scent; peculiar, heavy with the essence of this odd terrain which he roamed. In which he, and other felines stepped through every sunrise. At last, she spoke. "What a bizarre title you possess, Reflectedrain."

He watched with mild amusement as she reacted to him, her entire body tensing beneath her pretty white pelt. His expression changed from his easy-going smile to a slightly bewildered one. "A threat? " The tom echoed, his face becoming more and more confusedby the moment. "I'd never threaten anyone at the moment; the Clans have enough trouble now as it is." Reflectedrain murmured aloud, eyeing the she-cat a bit warily but his smile returning to grace his visage.
He noted her name with a small dip of his head, granting her the respect she deserved. "What a nice name." He commented before she mentioned how odd his own name seemed. Cocking his head to the side, he couldn't help but grin. "My name's pretty normal for a clan cat. We have two-part names. When I was born my mother named me Reflectedkit because I was identical to my father. When I was an apprentice my name was Reflectedpaw, and when I became a warrior I was named for the conditions I had been tested in: the rain." The VertigoClan tom explained, not knowing if the she-cat would understand or not.
ooc: short, sorry.

Avalanche observed the feline with a brief chill flaring as cold flames within her ashen voids. A threat it was. Wound about, rigidly into a whirling serpentine of pretty words but there it was, present evermore. She wasn't in quite the mood to kindle her ever blazing temper though; usually which what might've happened would in fact be a mad ferocity thrumming into her actions, spinning into her words, manipulative of everything she possessed. The girl captured his words only vaguely, much more intent upon his curious gestures of a serene body lang- uage. She knew, as most did, he would bound into ferocity if she attempted to do something delightfully funny. Felines were; either enticingly odd or rather predictable nowadays. "I do happen to dwell wherever I please." She said, her speech tearing at the stillness with a horrid tension, her each and every word nearly drowsily. Her frame draped with moonshine, mirrored into her eyes as she twitched her feathered whiskers. Forty felines? Possibly a peril. Outwitting a bunch of mad furballs? Easy enough. She found herself grinning like the mad girl she was. She pondered of the logic in his civil speech towards her, a bypasser who might as well meen serious trouble, to share the thoughts of many. Avalanche bounded forth, closer, and now what would his reaction be? He apparently appeared vaguely apathetic, his grins & smirks plastered upon his facade just for the fun of it. Was he mocking her? Now he might as well not dare to. Her tail, might as well be called a plume, so thick & feathered lashed with the inquisitive curiousity pulsing within. For once, she hadn't the urge to become a fiesty little thing at once, that could wait for later, she thought, eyeing the tom once more. She analyzed him closely. He wasn't bad looking himself. But could it be that obscurity dwelled beneath the enchanting appearance?

A bemused expression crossed his tabby maw and his eyes crinkled lightly with amusement as she spoke. "Anywhere you please?" The tom teased lightly, a smile lighting up his face as his eyes mockingly rolled skyward. Glancing back toward the densest part of the pine forest, Reflectedrain smirked at her, shaking his head slightly. "Well, it'd probably be safest to not dwell too close to where the clan cats are settled at the moment. But," He paused, shrugging lightly. "I suppose you don't really have to listen to me. I just know how some of those furballs will react to yet another strange cat appearing during our time of trouble."
Turning back toward camp, he shot a curious look back at her. "I mean, afterall, you dwell where you please." With moonshine falling down from the heavens above, his auburn tabby pelt was lit up with a grey, bright light; an odd sort of sight, really. His cerulean eyes glittered with their emerald flecks and his emotions playing right across his face. He had always been easy to see through, and now as he grew more playful as this she-cat gave him little to no attention, he couldn't help but mock her. It was the simplest game and it'd been played time and time again since the very first cats lived upon the land before them. It never changed, really. In fact, it just grew more and more complicated with time.

"Don't you fret dear, I won't be staying for long." The girl allowed the vocals to flow freely, making a swift escapade into the atmosphere bathed with moonlight, tension, and well, could it be fear emanating from the very depths of this expansive land? Her padders fell lithe upon the earth, the earth's sensation foreign, strange unlike any she had ever truly wielded into her senses. Laden with the thick essence of moisture, burdened with a thickness that surely signified that there was some thing rotten about the land. She sensed as the woods were far too serene, even for a chill hindered greenleaf evening. "Something here isn't...well, would it be suitable to say, not right about this place. It's no longer safe anymore." Tasseled whiskers swayed subtly, slithering into the air as she concluded her little warning, twinged with a bit of pity for the male. Portraits of the flooded lands surrounding the woodland haven flared into the memoir of her mind, and she knew, it wouldn't be long before the terrain to be oozing with murky streams of aquatic saliva. The earth reeked of devastation, oh she could nearly sense it coursing through her veins. She grinned, mirroring the mirthful smirk of his own, her own slinking about into the austere atmosphere. With a swish of her plume-like tail she swiveled into the shadows, devoured instantaneously only to emerge once more. Her eyes glimmered, reflective, although yes, unreadable as they had always been. "Why do you stay about, when there's so many other places to go? You can feel it too, it's right to stay here." She inquired smoothly, curiousity piqued so slightly. But she always spoke of what was on her mind, and that was not subject to change.
-- Sorry Lilly, my muse isn't all too bright at the moment. I know it's crappy, -sigh- sorry :C
