PERSONALITY//

pounceflash is, and always has been, an opinionated individual. He has age on his side, and with that - wisdom. So while once, as a warrior, his outspoken attitude was occasionally looked down upon or ignored, he now has the benefit of age and experience on his side. He's rather brash and blunt, but rarely aggressive. pounceflash is far more bark than bite, and would honestly rather parlay than battle out a problem. his loyalty is immeasurable, and still would do anything to benefit the clan, his friends, or even simply StarClan. he has a deep sense of faith in himself and others and yes, his warrior ancestors, and becomes easily attached, oddly enough. while he was once a soldierly fellow, pounceflash has settled into a snappish elder mold, as much as he would deny it any day of the week. he's incredibly bitter about his current rank, despite the respect he now receives. nothing makes him more grievous than thinking about his days as a warrior. this is why he comes off as so standoffish to clanmates, because he can't help snapping after them about just about anything. he simply misses the glory days, with his siblings at his side and his adopted daughter with him too. while he does his best to retain his grip on life, pounceflash slips into quiet bouts of depression in his lonely state of affairs. being an elder is a boring lifestyle, and leaves too much time to thinking.

EXPERIENCE//

• he was born into an enormous litter that included the future leader of celestialclan, ghoststar.
• he took a small she-cat named winterpaw under his wing, and trained her until she earned her name as winterspice, acting as a father figure in her life until her untimely early death (which he still grieves about).
• when she found kits in the forest and decided to raise them, he acted as a parent to them the best as he could as well. helping to raise them and showing her how to be a good mother.
• those kits still seem like his daughters today, and he treats them as such. so while he has never found true love in his own life, and has never has kits, pounceflash has had plenty of experience as a 'parent' and acted like a father to three successful female warriors - daughters he is proud of.
• severe arthritis kicked in early for pounceflash, and while he chose to ignore it for many moons, his foreleg seized up one day on patrol and he sprained it while walking. not only was he forced to retired, but he has retained a limp as well.
