NAME// Ashenflight[/b]
AGE// 47 moons
GENDER// She-cat
CLAN// TempestClan
DESIRED POSITION// Medicine Cat
SHORT DESCRIPTION// A respectable grey and white she-cat with detailed glass eyes.
DESCRIPTION//She is a beautiful grey and white she-cat. She has a white chest, stomach, legs, muzzle and neck where as everything else mostly has just patches of grey. Her fur is furry and soft and well groomed. Her ears are grey, but there is a thin white line that outlines the inner ear. She has long white whiskers and a grey nose. Around her eyes are grey, but with a line of white going up the grey patch on her nose, around that and back down the other side. Her nose is a delicate, pink color with a grey spot on her nose. Her tail is fluffy and grey and it gets darker grey near the end of her tail where it is almost black. Her eyes are a dark green with detailed gold flecks in them. Her eyes, when being looked at, look like they are trapped behind glass. Her eyes shine in the light appearing to be much brighter than they actually are. All in all, Ashenflight is a gorgeous she-cat.
PERSONALITY//Don’t be mistaken for Ashenflight’s beauty, she’s still as tough as barbed wire. Ashenflight is beautiful yes and she does sometimes take favorites in a clan, but she has a sharp tongue on her worst days. If a cat is a close friend with Ashenflight, she’ll be nicer than most to them, but most of the time she has a vigorous tongue ready to fight with one. Ashenflight loves kits and some apprentices, but she’s very disciplined and would never think to take a mate. Even if she sees a tiny spark of affection in a tom, she would never under any circumstances want anything to do with them other than friendship, maybe. Ashenflight has fantastic medicine cat skills and her drive to be the better medicine cat out runs her sometimes. Ashenflight is also determined. When something puzzles her, she won’t give up too quickly. She may not fight with tooth and claw, but she fights in a battle of wits, she fights with determination in everything she does. Ashenflight shouldn’t be taken for granted, as she is very bitter. Also for being determined and disciplined, she is also very cunning. She is a perfect example of who a cat shouldn’t trust even though her clan can rely on her for everything they need in a medicine cat. She is driven by power to figure out things faster than other medicine cats, that is where her true competition is. Although being a medicine cat and having the power of herbs, surprisingly, Ashenflight is a skillful fighter. She isn’t as good at hunting and any cat daring enough to tell her that may not return without a few scratches down the side of his pelt. She is always hungry for the fight whether it resides in battles or within sickness for other clans. She fights for her clan and always lashes out at anyone who gets in her way for victory.
EXPERIENCE//Ashenkit
Look at this beautiful grey and white she-cat. Don’t you see her? She’ll be the best fighter this clan has ever seen. She pushes around her littermates so much; she’ll be fantastic. Ashenkit is her name. She fights her mother. She fights her father. She fights her littermates. She’s a rough little she-cat. She’s a fighter. Her eyes so pretty, her face so gorgeous, her claws so sharp, her heart so TempestClan. She’s going to make a difference in this Clan I can tell.
Ashenpaw
Ashenkit, from this day forward you shall be known as Ashenpaw until you receive your warrior name. Ashenpaw, look at how much she’s grown. You’d expect her to follow up with her brothers, right? Farpaw and Brazepaw are proud to follow up their father’s role and become amazing warriors. Ashenpaw should be excited too then? Wrong. Ashenpaw was unhappy and hurt and angry with StarClan for they had chosen Ashenpaw to learn and grow in the ways of a medicine cat. Ashenpaw was furious and for a whole day she didn’t speak to anyone. They started to get worried and then the talking came. Or shall we say, the snapping. Ashenpaw, ha, little Ashenpaw became bitter to the tongue. Ashenpaw though she hardly knew it, became like her father.
Ashenflight’s Younger Years[/u]
Ashenflight, look at the little medicine cat apprentice now. She’s grown. In fact, if you didn’t realize before, this is Ashenflight speaking you pesky moron. I’d like to introduce you to something, myself. I was furious when I was chosen to be the medicine cat apprentice. My mentor lived with me though and kept me afloat. That was before the accident. My brother, Farfallen became ill with black cough in the winter. My mentor and I did everything we could to save him, but the season took his life as did it take my mother’s as well. Brazewash, my other brother, blamed me for the tragic accident and he refused to talk to me. In fact, now that I think about it, he still doesn’t talk to me. After this accident however I turned into the greedy and determined medicine cat I am today. I don’t talk really to anyone. I became so fed up with death that I did everything I could to learn what I could so nothing like this would every happen again. I can’t even tell you how mad I was and still am for letting Farfallen {my nicer brother, just throwing that out there} die. Brazewash still doesn’t talk to me. Oh who cares. And my father is old and run down. I’ve been told I’m more like him everyday. Sometimes I wonder if this is true. Then I ignore it. I’m only an apprentice.
Ashenflight’s Older Years[/u]
Well now my mentor has died of old age. I was extremely sad. He taught me so much. Now I’m the cat in charge around here. I’ve strived to be the best cat I can be and I’ve gotten really good if I do say so myself. What about my family you ask? Well, my father is dead; a badger killed him. He died like any brave warrior, for his clan. And Brazewash? Well, Brazewash is still living, just somewhere else. He was banished from TempestClan. Go figure. He was banished for trying to kill his first apprentice. He thought that his apprentice was too stupid to understand anything. My family is messed up, I know. Well, Brazewash is probably still alive, nothing has shown me a sign telling me otherwise so who knows really. I’m more experienced and I’m ready to fight off anything that thinks it can out rule my Clan. Death by Ashenflight it shall be.

OTHER//
The chipper breeze swayed through the throngs of the forest and into the small den carved in a hollowed out tree. An average grey and white she-cat sat within the den, pawing through old storages of herbs. Her nose twitched as the dust blew up in her face. She let out a small sneeze before pausing to paw at her face and then continued. She separated bundles of plants into separate sections and organized it to her likings. ”Okay, I need to stock up with tansy and lavender.” The she-cat thought she was speaking to herself when someone answered her from behind.[/i] Her father’s words rang in her ears. And I am so determined to save anyone in my Clan. Her eyes glittered in the shadows of her den as she backed away slowly.
”Wow, already checking for supplies Ashenflight? I thought you were well stocked up for the season,” the tom behind her sneered playfully.
She flicked her tail at his shoulder and narrowed her eyes. ”It’s never too late to check for herbs, Fallenspear.” Ashenflight growled, touching her nose to her father’s in greeting.
He gazed around her homey den and noticed old mossy beds behind him. ”What the StarClan are these?” He teased her.
She turned from her work to look at the dead, brown nests behind him. ”They’re, or were, nests.” She answered him before going back to her work impatiently.
”Well, they’re probably the most uncomfortable nests in the whole bloody clan.” He answered doubtfully.
She unsheathed her claws in tension and whipped around to glare at her father. ”I’m working on it!” She hissed at him, shoeing him out of her den.
He only scoffed. ”You’re determined to get things done. Always have been.” He laughed exiting the hollow of the trunk that led to her storage.
She followed him out and lashed her tail fiercely. ”I always have been! I’ll never let anything bad happen to my clan, got that? Never!” Unsheathing her claws she about swiped at him, but thought better of it.
He looked at her with love in his eyes before answering, ”What happened to Farfallen and to your mother wasn’t your fault. The sickness took control. Remember Ashenflight, everything that happens all depends on how determined we are to be successful.”
Ashenflight flicked her ear, ”Where’d that quote come from?”
He shrugged and met up with his patrol on the far side of the camp before shouting back to her, ”I don’t know, it’s been in my long line of family since my great grandfather could remember!”
Ashenflight, pleased that her father had finally left her, sat in her hollowed out storage den and finished up moving her products around. She then took a small branch of pine and swept the dust out of her den. It was getting in her nose and causing a riot of pain. She heard loud drum steps coming towards the camp and she tensed up. Forgetting the sweeping she was doing, she bolted out to the main edge of the clan camp and saw her father’s patrol coming back in. They greeted Voidstar and began discussing with him. Voidstar nodded slowly and then addressed the clan.
”I’m afraid we have bad news. There is a badger somewhere lurking in our territory. Our warriors fought it bravely when they came across it, but Fallenspear was killed. He died bravely, protecting the Clan and we will always remember him.” Voidstar finished before leaving the clan to themselves. Ashenflight had no words and no emotions when she heard her father’s death being announced. No cat tried to comfort her and instead she went back into her den and sulked, refusing to come out unless of an emergency. Finally, after her sadness had forfeited her, she padded slowly back out of her den and gazed around at her Clan. They were sad yes, but they kept going and ordering up patrols for hunting. She noticed a kit had stepped on a thorn, but her mother came to her and pulled it out of her pad. She saw the affection and the determination in the mother’s eyes for the well being of her kit. The Clan is my kits now. Everything that happens all depends on how determined we are to be successful.
