Her heart was light as air, soaring through the high, cloud-free skies above the cool pine forest, a smile gracing her delicate ginger tabby maw. Her emerald eyes sparkled with amusement as she thought about what had just happened with Garnetbone. It was near magical, how well they got along, and the way he spoke to her, treated her. Flamingarrow nearly stopped to wonder what might happen if they continued seeing each other, but then shook it off, not wanting to overthink the places their relationship might go.
Yes, she did enjoy his company, quite immensely, really, and being with him brought an everlasting smile to her fiery maw just like the everlasting sunshine brought nourishment to the plant life all around her. Shrugging her shoulders to stretch them, the deputy's blazing green eyes swept the shady forest around her as light dappled her surroundings. A pale form emerged, and Flamingarrow dipped her head to the pretty she-cat.
A miniscule smile spread across her face as she blinked at the young female beauty. "Afternoon, Birdsong. How are you today?" She asked politely before her blood ran cold. She'd just been with Garnetbone not too long ago - CelestialClan scent clung to her pelt as her face lit on fire. 'Oh! Why didn't I think of that?' The she-cat questioned herself, her eyebrows furrowing before returning to a more neutral, determined expression. 'Because I'm not going to hide the fact that I'm happy!' She answered herself fierecly, the fire in her green eyes burning once again, her visage quite serious as she eyed the soft-colored gal once more.
ooc: birdsong should notice the scent of another clan on her since it's quite strong.

living is easy with eyes closed - - - - misunderstanding all you see - - - - Sunshine poured down onto Birdsong, illuminating her soft blue eyes, her cream sandalwood coloured coat softly glowing in such basking light. She thought about the animal in the woods and how herself and Reflectedrain had managed to safely chase it away. But not without a price. The price being the large bruise that had formed the sunhigh after the incident. But it had faded now and Birdsong's coat was as soft as ever.
Birdsong turned her head at the sound of her name, it was funny, it was as if the cats quite liked saying 'Birdsong', maybe it was because of how unique it was. The she-cat often wondered why her leader had gifted her with such a name, was it because of her soft spoken voice or her agility to catch the pigeons that rested so far up in the trees surrounding the clan camp? Birdsong liked her name, it was something she treasured deeply and she couldn't imagine being named anything different.
As Flamingarrow approached and dipped her head, Birdsong turned to face her deputy. Dipping her own head in return and also respect. She admired her deputy, it couldn't be easy. Having the weight on your shoulders that after your leaders, your friends, nine lives were up, the clan would come to you. Birdsong would rather be quietly hunting in the woods, sneaking through the undergrowth. She often wandered off on patrols, she preferred to be alone, to stand back and observe everything from another perspective. She was silent, and this gave her an advantage, sometimes she would hear things she wasn't meant to. Sometimes things about herself that forced blush into her fur. All of the other cats thought she was quiet and innocent, fragile. But if they got close to her and allowed herself to open up, she was loud and loved to have a laugh. Birdsong sighed, but then allowed her blue eyes to light up as the Deputy blinked at her.
The first thing that hit Birdsong as she turned was the stench of Celestialclan on her deputies coat. The second thing that clicked was the look of admiration and love in the she-cats eye. Birdsong had her own ideas about what might be going on, but she kept her mouth shut, she didn't want to say the wrong thing. "You can trust me Flamingarrow, as one of your warriors and one of your dear friends, I don't judge you for your scent that you carry, I can see that it makes you happy, and that matters greatly, but I do suggest you turn over in some fox dung, I don't think others will be as forgiving as me ..." she paused and breathed slowly, "They may think you are betraying us, especially as our deputy, but I have faith in you that you know where your loyalties lie, which are here, In Vertigoclan" Birdsong said faithfully, smiling. Her cheeks were on fire, burning with an intensity she had never felt. She was ashamed of herself, not for interacting with Garnetbone, but for allowing herself to be caught, especially by a cat that didn't know her very well. She frowned deeply, her bright emerald eyes flickering darkly as she looked on to her sepia-toned clanmate. Birdsong hadn't been born in VertigoClan, and though Flamingarrow didn't hold that against her, she was almost angered by the other she-cat's remarks. "I don't care what others think, Birdsong. They already place me on a pedastal much lower than what I truly deserve." The flame-colored female explained, her muscles relaxing as she grew less tense and more at ease with the other female.
Drawing her mouth up into one side of her face, Flamingarrow held the odd expression for a few moments, watching Birdsong's turquoise eyes carefully. "VertigoClan has always been first and foremost for me. Even when I was kidnapped as an apprentice and trained by a clan of rogues, no one, nothing could break my spirit or my loyalty." She would swear her allegiance to her birth clan and to StarClan until the day that she died, but members of the clan would never fully accept her for some were far too prejudiced against her.
Finally, a smile dared to encroach itself upon the ginger tabby's maw, not quite reaching her eyes, but displaying her contentment with how accepting Birdsong was of her. "I feel like you and I are sort of the same, at least in a few ways. And I do trust you, Birdsong. You can ask me anything, and I'd tell you the answer." Flamingarrow confided, dipping her head to the light mocha female. She looked away, gazing up at the cloud dappled sky, its cerulean hue blending slightly with the bright ivory present in the puffy cumulus clouds to form off-shades of periwinkle and cornflower.
