"And if I had something to say to you I'd whisper it softly, kiss you on your rosy lips and never let you off me."

[/sup] "And as long as it's okay with you I think I'll stay right here. I got no where to go, cause where to go is up to you dear."[/sup] ”Ok then let’s play the ‘my daddy’ game. My daddy was from Delirium and killed more cats than you could in your dizziest daydreams.” Hailghost couldn't stop himself from smiling grimly at this. Some cats might act like they didn't know such a thing, but not Cherrypaw. She was blunt about it. He supposed that almost all of the cats in Tempestclan were of some relation to rogues or Delirium members as it was, but it wasn't as if most of them boasted about it. Their clan had always been sneered at by the others for mixing the blood up. He couldn't see the issue with it, himself. Without new cats, eventually they'd be breeding with their kin, like Celestialclan probably did. Still, logical thinking didn't stop others from his family from thinking they were better for having "pure" blood. It was pretty stupid. But then again, how different was it from being proud of being from Delirium? Certainly something to think about. But not now. Later. As his apprentice stepped around him to stand at his side, Hailghost gave a soft growl of irritation. Of course she wouldn't want to be covered by him. But if this she-cat was a real threat (which he didn't think she was), he didn't want Cherrypaw involved. Hailghost's eyes flickered as she turned back toward him. "Actually, yes, you are bothering me. The fact that you're getting in my clan mate's face is bothering me." At her words about not touching the dilute calico, his mouth twisted to a grimace. "You touch her and it'll be the last move you make." Faking an intrigued voice, eyes going wide and round, Hailghost cried, "Don't really feel like it, eh? Feel like doing something different for a change, I suppose!" He snorted, dropping the mocking tone. "Like. What? If you're so eager to join up with a clan, then come back to camp with us, and we'll see what Voidstar makes of you." He laughed. "If you make it." By now the gray tom had decided that, on levels of physical attraction, the feeling was mutual. But he wasn't about to return her flirtatious words with Cherrypaw standing right there, when this could be a potential threat, when she was trespassing. Besides, she was bonkers anyway, and not only that, but the mother of a Celestialclan warrior. never been so used as i'm using you, abusing you, my little decoy Bright eyes flashed in the moonlight as her glare pierced the space between her and the other female. "Then they suffered from the same thing that you do now," she sneered and tilted her head to the side. "Oh look, a sad old rogue with no place to go talking about the clans like she belongs with them, maybe I should spell it out - you belong in a rundown shed somewhere." The words kept rolling from her mouth and she couldn't stop them. She felt the hatred pouring out of her with every breath and it was present in every tiny movement she made. “And do yourself a favour, don't make yourself look stupid by telling stories you know nothing about." This old scrap knew nothing about how she had come to Tempestclan or her history and was simply embarrassing herself by acting as though she did. Cherrypaw may have had very few memories of her life before the clan, but she did know that she had been brought here by Shard and certainly would have remembered if she had come here by her own free will. In a way she was grateful to Shard, but would never waste her breath telling the obnoxious tom that. He would never respect clan life like she did, and belonged in the same shed that this stupid rogue did. Actually Shard and Fadedbreeze were perfect for each other, neither of them had a place around here and they both seemed to love making other cats shiver with discomfort.
With a growl she took a step closer to her enemy. "As if you are good enough to be one of us," Cherrypaw spat while lashing her tail. Rolling her eyes as the female rambled on filling her ears with nonsense. Yet she was sure that the female was taunting her by acting nice. Each sentence sounded like more of a challenge for the dilute calico and more than anything she was desperate to sink her claws into the fur of Fadedbreeze, who stood across from her. It took all her willpower to force herself not to dart over to the female and claw her eyeballs out. She had no right to march over here and start insulting them when it was their territory, not hers. Cherrypaw was even a little disappointed in Hailghost, she knew he had killed before but from where she stood he was all talk and no play. ”Are you two going to continue to talk crap? Or are we going to start a real battle.” She hissed silkily and prowled over to Fadedbreeze so that she could feel Cherrypaw’s breath tickled her face. ”Touch me. I dare you,” She breathed in her ear.

Hah! As if the dilute tortie would ever even think of touching the little brat. Rolling her eyes at the tom, she scoffed. "I wouldn't touch a hair the brat's body. Like I said, I don't plan on attacking either of you without prior notice. And, I don't really feel like fighting right now. So shut your whiny mouths and maybe we'll get somewhere, hmm?" Fadedbreeze spat, trying her best to get her point across, becoming irritated with the two of them. Sighing and narrowing her eyes, she glowered at him. "I apologize; afterall I am the one at fault here, but give me a chance, sweetheart, I'm not here to kill you." She hissed indignantly, turning to the calico once more.
"Oh look, a prissy little brat that thinks she's the best fighter in the world because she belongs to the best clan ever and belonged to a group of delinquents before she came here. Honey, please. I may not be full-blooded either, but I don't always act like I'm the greatest thing ever." Fadedbreeze snapped, rolling her eyes once more. "Puh-lease, you belong right where you are because you've got a nice little niche in the clans. Better not screw it up, sweetie, you've got your entire wretched life to be bitter." She commented, adding a fake smile to her words and batting her eyes at the other female.
"Yes, why don't you take me to Voidstar? I'll stay away from your darling apprentice, I promise. I'd rather spend the night sleeping than trying to show her how to argue." She put in, smirking as her tail lashed back and forth, ready to do something other than argue with a bunch of TempestClan cats.

never been so used as i'm using you, abusing you, my little decoy Finally she sighed and turned away. She hated to admit it but Fadedbreeze was right, Cherrypaw was acting a bit more stuck up than usual. However, that did not mean that Fadedbreeze was better than her and as she thought this through a calm maturity washed over her. There was no need for the other female to teach her how to argue because arguing did not make you better, it made you just as pathetic as the cat you were arguing with and she was sick of being pathetic after only a short while. The better of the two was the one who could walk away from the argument and Cherrypaw knew whatever she could come up with Fadedbreeze would just respond to until someone else cut in and stopped it. Before that had to happen the young female wanted to prove some of her worth and so she calmly waited for the other to stop speaking.
"I know I am not special because I am half-blooded. By now most of this clan is but you are not special either, and just because you are much, much older than I does not mean you are better than me either. If you were you would have stopped humouring me a while ago and ignored me, but I see that I am sinking to your level by continuing to argue and I wont anymore. I am not the best thing in the forest but at least by being able to calmly walk away I know that I am at least a little better than you and I should have realised how pathetic we were acting sooner. Maybe some of your dignity will remain intact if Voidstar does not turn you down, I mean if you tw ever get that far."
Following her speech she dragged her glare from the other female and padded into the undergrowth, not even bothering to meet Hailghost's gaze. When she was sure her pelt had disappeared from the sight of her seniors the tears gently began to roll from her eyes, tumbling down her face and hitting the ground. Words could not begin to describe how stupid and worthless the young female felt at that time. She had actually thought that she and Hailghost were similar and that they had some kind of bond but it was clear to her how ridiculous that was now. She was back to square one where she had nobody because she was so full of herself like that scabby rogue had ever so kindly pointed out. Breaking into a run she avoided the camp and found somewhere else in the territory to go. It was not as though she had someone to run to while sobbing, she had to comfort herself amd expose her feelings to the harsh reality that many liked to call life.

[/sup] "And as long as it's okay with you I think I'll stay right here. I got no where to go, cause where to go is up to you dear."[/sup] What was he even doing? What was happening? Emotions were thick in the air and he was beginning to feel sick. The urge to sink his claws into flesh was overcoming him, as it had and did. The urge to run was less powerful. But he was silent for too long, trying to control it, and that time was everything. Cherrypaw seemed to disappear, until it was just the two of them and that was when he lost his grip on the tale. "Cherrypaw!" Hailghost cried, turning to look after her, but she was out of sight, and the rogue was in their territory still. The tom bristled, so that his gray pelt made him twice his size, and he arched his back, bringing his face down as he dug his claws frantically into the earth. "Look what you've done, you-" Hailghost hissed in frustration, his tempo raising only as he broke off, into a sort of roar, a screech that must've been audible to every living thing within twenty fox lengths. "You disgust me! You're pitiful! Berating an apprentice! Cherrypaw!" Whipping back in forth in an agony of indecision, the older warrior finally settled for lashing his claws into the ground again, tearing up pawfuls of grass. "You're the worthless one, rogue..." Hailghost growled, his voice lowered again, rasping in his throat. "Cherrypaw is a lot more than you are. She's a better fighter, and even if she was Shard's eldest I'd love her, her skull isn't so thick and deranged as your's. Only no one will ever love you. You can't even stay on good terms with an apprentice!" He glared at her, amber eyes furious, burning with the want to sink his teeth into her scruff and shake her until she understood just what she had done, and how much his apprentice meant to him, and how very much he simply wanted to kill. Someone. How could he have thought there was any chance at keeping this clean? He was forever embittered against Fadedbreeze. There was no chance he was taking her to Voidstar now. It took all of his effort, all of his will power, to slowly back away. His muscles were rigid and trembling with their tenseness, and it seemed ages before he felt cool leaves brush against his fur, meaning he was soon to be enveloped by the forest. "Come back to our camp, if you like. You'll find a patrol of angry warriors waiting to tear your fur off and feed your heart to a fox pack." With that he turned and disappeared into the shadows as Cherrypaw had done before, wanting to follow her but knowing she needed her space, just as he now needed his. Not back to camp, but somewhere alone where he could cool down and reign himself in, beat himself up over this. Hailghost took off fast, somewhere deeper in the fen, where he wouldn't be found. His stomach was roiling and he felt a burning sensation in his body, an inflamed enemy taking over his senses, an invader that wanted nothing more than to change him into a monster. This found him alone. He didn't return from where he crouched against a cottonwood until dawn.
