Her tail flicking, further and further into the trees the young warrior slid. Calico fur ruffled against the remainders of leafbare chill, Shockflare glared ahead, trying to sense movement, to see prey. A small shuffle made her prick her ears and quietly turn, but it was just a scrawny little bird fluttering off. The clan needed plump voles and mice, stuff like that. Waiting for what seemed like ages StarClan obviously took mercy and sent a vole scuttling past the still feline. Quick as a whip, claws thrust out and grabbed the small creature. Scanning it, and thanking her clanmates ancestors (not truly her own, she knew) Shockflare nodded and smiled a tiny bit.
"Plump... It will feed the clan well..." There she went, talking to herself. It maddened the rest of the clan, who were still shaking the ice off their fur. Suppressing a purr the warrior looked at her fluffy pelt. The fact it stuck out was good for something at least. She always appeared bigger than she was and stayed nice and warm. Too warm in greenleaf but in those times she permitted herself a small dip in the creek. Hding the vole Shockflare stood and began bounding off deeper into the woods. Coming across the scents of other clans she wisely turned back. Hallowstar would kill her if she stirred up trouble with the other clans. Heading back to the camp, the small female caught the scent of a mouse. Smirking she leapt out into a clearing right on the rodent. It squeaked a bit but was dead as son as she nipped it. Scurrying to her vole, catching the nice, still warm smell, she uncovered it. Taking both the creatures by the tail Shockflare began padding back to camp. The sunshine catching her fur just right and sending it sparkling.
