Green eyes, blue skies, natural distasters when she cries Quickly the feline started out of camp with a swift trot, eager to get away from everything that was going on since the patrols had been organised and her presence was no longer needed since she had not been chosen. There were times when she could no longer stand to be around company and needed to get away before her vicious side lashed out at those around her when she had no intention of hurting others. Glancing behind her to check that the coast was clear she kicked off with powerful hind legs and launched herself upwards, grabbing into the bark of the tree trunk with sharp claws. Propelling herself upwards she landed on a stable looking branch, thick enough for her to lie on and settled there while watching all of the snow she had just disturbed gently float down to the ground. She let their gentle motion calm her nerves as she exhaled and gradually closed her eyes so all she could see was blackness. If only she could forget about him she would not be acting so damn emotional all the time.
The fact was she could not forget about Tidalhaunt. The female had tried to make amends for her disloyal decisions; she had ended it knowing that it was growing far more serious than she had initially planned and he had agreed. There was a part of her that hoped he would fight for her but he had not and dragging herself back to camp she hoped that knowing she was loyal to her clan would console her but it had not. Thus she had tried daily to convince herself that this was the right thing to do and open her eyes to the other toms who tried flirting with her but her responses sounded empty to her which made her shudder. She could not force herself to like someone and that was growing more apparent the more she tried to push herself away from that sweet-faced tom. It was only a matter of time before her sister started questioning her because it was a sure thing that she would realise something was the matter, but how on earth could she tell such a gentle and innocent feline that she had betrayed the clan? Betraying the clan had felt like betraying the one cat that mattered most to her and it tugged at her heart strings to know that she could hurt Panaceaheart. However, she would force herself to remain as aloof as she had always been and act like her emotions were not getting on her last nerve. She even contemplated going over to the Tempestclan border but it would be unwise to do so alone with tensions still high between the two clans, if only she could just talk to him.

FirelilyAll I ever get is you're doing it wrong...A bright ginger tabby woke from a small nap, hearing the sounds of footsteps going past her hiding place. Another she cat, walking by. Firelily recognized the pelt of Hauntedsky. She was obviously agitated. The odd cat forced herself to her feet and followed until Hauntedsky until she stopped. Walking partways in front of her, Firelily gave the other cat a withered look. "And, what are you doing?" She blinked her pale yellow eyes, and flipped the black lock of hair back, revealing both. Bright and gleaming, they glared out from her white rimmed sockets. The cats black-and-orange, mottled fur flashed as she came around to look at Hauntedsky full on. Plumed tail flicking in annoyance, for was still tired, Firelily sighed. She wasn't the type of cat to help others.
Her mind wandered to what she knew of Hauntedsky. Jaggedmoon seemed to like her. Her sister was Panaceaheart. She seemed nice enough but had trust issues, according to some. Firelily didn't know her very well. Sad, since they were in the same clan, where you should know all of your clanmates well. But, the weird looking cat was not even very familiar with her own apprentice. That was sad, also. TAGGED// Hauntedsky, anyone WORDCOUNT// 200 MUSIC// No music

Green eyes, blue skies, natural distasters when she cries A feminine voice broke through her reflection and brought her to her senses. Blinking her green lights she grew more aware of her surroundings and looked down on the ground below her to see Firelily looking up at her. ”I was actually just minding my own business,” she replied indifferently, not matching the slightly hostile tone of her interrogator. She saw no reason for the female to approach her and accuse her of doing something wrong and thought her accusing tone a little unfair but she had been unsuccessful in trying to get Hauntedsky angry, if that had been her initial plan. She did not care to know what Firelily was up to, but she guessed that her alone time had been cut far too short for her liking and she pushed the gentle features of the tom she once knew to the back of her head. Turning she dropped to a wobbly branch below her and then to the forest floor, landing very neatly on all fours.
As she looked the other cat in her pale yellow eyes her expression was expectant, waiting for something to happen next but when nothing happened she stopped herself from sighing and cleared her throat. ”Is there something I can help you with Firelily?” She inquired politely, not overly interested in helping anyone but herself at the present but it was the right thing to do. This way there would be no reason to accuse her of being rude or acting suspicious in anyway. Shaking out her thick black and gold fur before the snow could sink into it and make it damp she waited quietly for a response.

FirelilyAll I ever get is you're doing it wrong...Is there something I can help you with, Firelily? Firelily blinked, slowly, eyes looking bored. "No. I am in no predicament of any kind. Unless you call having nothing to do being in a predicament." She gave a rare, small, rather sad grin. Or being friendless and lonely, for that matter. The tabby flicked her tail to the tree. "Were you birdwatching or something?" Two things occured to Firelily. One was that she was speaking normally, like any cat, no riddles. Two was she was being nicer than usual. Odd, but maybe it could get her someone she was on speaking terms with. At least that would be better than nothing. Her white front paws kneaded the ground. She didn't want to mess up her chances of making a friend.
"Or hunting, perhaps? Do you like hunting? I personally prefer not to but Falconflight stubbornly makes me do at least one every two days. Mousebrain. I never bring in anything good." The black striped warrior curled her tail. She hoped desperately she hadn't messed up. Cats only ever spoke to her to tell her to do something. Firelily wasn't the best at making friends. Green eyes, blue skies, natural distasters when she cries Inside the female was a little confused regarding the situation before her but calmly she let it play out before her, a little interested to see what was going to happen. ”No not necessarily,” She replied quickly. Being by herself was not an issue for Hauntedsky, she loved those rare moments when she would be able to sit in silence and just think. She loved to go through her thoughts of the day and organise them with nothing but the sound of birds chirping and trees whispering. One could not expect Firelily to understand this way of thinking because she had come to realise it was unusual to want to spend time in one’s own company and it could be frowned upon by others. As a result she would appear to others to be reasonably social but sneak away from the crowds whenever possible. ”Oh, no, I thought I saw a squirrel up there but I couldn’t get up the tree fast enough to get to it, or I could have imagined it since my belly has been half-full for moons.” She replied hating the feeling of not being fully satisfied. Each sunrise she would hope to be able to catch a large, juicy piece of prey but so far there had been no success.
”Hunting is not my favourite thing but I feel more inclined to do so when I am hungry, but hopefully the winter won’t last for too much longer for the sake of everyone.” She added. Not only did she not like being hungry herself but she also did not like the clan being hungry, and hungry cats were weak cats and more for her sister to deal with. It was always a worry of hers how Panaceaheart would manage to deal with stress. Another reason the female did not want to worry her sister with her forbidden interactions.

FirelilyAll I ever get is you're doing it wrong...Firelily dragged a white front paw along the ground, head tilted. "I guess I'd have to agree with you. With motivation, hunting does become easier." The silky black lock fell back into her eyes. "Ugh... stupid thing. I look like a twoleg toy." She flipped it back out. "There. I can't see when it's in my eyes." Her pale yellow eyes shifted back to Hauntedsky. "Where was I? Oh, yes, hunting. Being half empty isn't so bad. You get used to it. But being completely empty is harder, of course. Having nothing inside you begins to hurt aftr a while." To anyone who was half listening wouldn't notice anything, but one who really heard got the feeling the senior warrior was no longer speaking about eating.
The bright ginger cat let her eyes drop to the ground. She desperately wanted a friend. No... not want. Firelily needed a friend. While Jaggedmoon was good for getting her anger out, they still were mutual hate. A friend was someone you could relate to. You knew a friend inside out, you were siblings in a sort of way. Firelily had never been much for others, but she was 41 moons old already. It was time to slow down. She was far from being old, but the black striped warrior knew time flew. In no time her entire life would have past. She at least wanted one friend. "You want to see if any prey is around?"

Green eyes, blue skies, natural distasters when she cries Nodding in agreement she took the opportunity to shake out her pelt as tiny particles of snow clung to the ends, making it appear as though she had white speckles upon her pelt. They pulled strands of her fur together, tangling and tugging at them whenever she moved causing tiny prickles of pain to tickle her skin. Taking pride in her appearance was an important factor to the female, especially with such a long pelt that picked up dirt far too easily. Without being clean she could not feel proud, and be her refined self as it had a way of distracting her and making her feel horrible. Thus it was a common occurrence for her to choke on her own fur.
It took her a moment to readjust to her surroundings and realise that the female had spoken to her. Blinking a couple of times for her eyes to become accustomed to the sunlight reflecting off the snow she turned her head so her gaze rested upon Firelily. ”Yes, I suppose that would be a useful way to spend our time.” She responded softly, not wanting to say no but at the same time was aware that the clan needed as much food as they could hunt. Just as the trees had shed their leaves, the cats had lost their plump bellies revealing their skeletons, jutting out from beneath their pelts at every opportunity. It was a little like living among dead cats and that thought made her shudder; that was the last thing she wanted.
”Perhaps we should move quickly before the hunting patrol gets it all.” She suggested and began to trot away, in search of something to satisfy her grumbling belly.

A flutter of wings told the world that that prey had not been caught. Not today. Damn. A thought lingered in the unholy mind of the grey and white tabby. His unsatisfied honey eyes flickered around in the cold weather of the chilly night. Voices rang in his muted ears, but only just because he was lonely. In this weather, normal territory felt like a foreign clan...and that went for anyone he was sure. The tom made his way through the dead ferns and onto a hole in the ground in which case he started digging at just to make some hope of finding food. But when he got right down to it, he found nothing. Not even bugs flew up and made buzzing noises to his face. He hissed aloud in the deathly silent night. Nothing was up except for the moon, it's inconsistency for light faded with each passing snow cloud. And in the shadows of the night, it felt like he was alone. He really felt it. Jaggedmoon was alone.
Confused, he heard distinctive murmuring again and he flicked his ears to follow them as he hurdled around the trees and through the dirty, dried mud. How settling. He made out the two feminine voices, but Jaggedmoon couldn't pinpoint who they were. He felt like he was trying to stalk his prey. His sweet succulent prey. Every cat was starving, or at least, they were half starved. Has Hallowstar really given up? Many thoughts about his great leader flickered in his head, but Jaggedmoon tried to remain "positive". Finally, two pelts came into his vision, he recognized Firelily, the she-cat he absolutely hated and Hauntedsky, the she-cat that got into his system like poison, sneaking up on him and controlling his every move. Hauntedsky was the venom that he desperately reached to gain from a snake bite. For some reason, Jaggedmoon was allured by Hauntedsky's presence. He never wanted to be too far away from her, but not too close naturally. Yet, he was confused as to why Hauntedsky was speaking with Firelily, but then he realized that not everyone hated that cat. Only he it seemed. Jaggedmoon listened as they said they were to hunt and he slinked out of the dead plants to come face to face with them in the night.
"Not come to hunt me I suppose. I am no prey of your likings." He initiated in a deep voice, but there was still some teasing in his tone. Seeing as Hauntedsky assumed a friendly tone with Firelily, Jaggedmoon didn't see reasoning by telling Firelily to lay off. He kind of felt bad for the no good she-rat. "Good evening Hauntedsky," he gazed at her for a bit of time before he blinked and cleared his throat, "And to you, Firelily."

(I know I'm leaving but I just HAVE to do this...) FirelilyAll I ever get is you're doing it wrong...Hearing that familiar voice, the one she so hated, Firelily turned and glared slightly at Jaggedmoon. "Jaggedmoon. Hello." Turning away slightly, she let that black bit of hair fall back over her eyes. Here she was, maybe making a friend, and that ass had to come along. What did he want? Perhaps just to talk, but that didn't mean she had to speak to him. Stalking away, her tail dragged slightly on the ground. Oh, she knew she was being juvenile, but who cared. Alright, so he was being more polite than usual, but that was just because of Hauntedsky, she knew. What the heck is wrong with me, why does a mousebrain like that make me so mad? Maybe because of that first time when they met, and he was so very rude. Oh well, somehow Falconflight and Hallowstar had let him come into the clan. Right now her mood had turned sour again. She wanted to get away before she tried to kill Jaggedmoon. Maybe I can catch a bit of prey...
