Goosewhisker made his way down one of the many jagged hills that were littered around the territory. His gray-silver pelt rippling with each step he took, he vaguely wondered where he was going in the back of his mind. For a moment he paused, he had gone as far as he felt like today, he would have to head back soon, the glowing yellow sun was slowly fading in the distance, the horizon swallowed the sun, as he had heard one apprentice put it. His long tail flicked to the side as his silver gaze swept across the area surrounding him. His gaze froze on a tree, his eyes icy as ever and took quick steps forward before he tensed up and jumped into the tree, clawing his way up. Feeling his claws dig deep into the flesh of the tree he slowly loosened one paw before swiftly sinking his claws into the bark a few inches above him, and quickly made his way up. Once up into the bough of the tree he sat down, his claws still sunk into the tree branch, holding onto it as he used it as his perch for the evening. Goosewhisker paused, one of his ears twitching, something wasn't right here. Something was... Missing, if you will. Letting out an exasperated noise he glanced around, his thoughts fully focused on what was missing, what was making his fur crawl. After several failed attempts to find out what it was he paused, thinking sourly, Maybe its one of those things, where if you don't think to hard, you can find out what it is. He took a deep breath, preparing for the impossible. Goosewhisker tried to get his thoughts to tarry elsewhere but something about the evening was like ants in his pelts and his thoughts kept skittering back to the consistent irritation. Letting out an angry sigh he looked back up at the sky his tail lashing about for a moment before it struck him like a badger, there was no noise. Not even a single bird was singing its daily tune, the territory was utterly silent. He paused his eyes instantly narrowing, why wasn't anything making a noise? No crunch of dirt under paws, no scuffle of prey on the leaves, nothing. At that moment the sun disappeared behind the horizon, engulfing the world in the dark of the night.
