BlueFire walked around. The moss cushened her with each pawstep. She approached a flat rock in the sun. She hopped up onto the rock, circled around a few times, then closed her eyes for an afternoon slumber.

It was cold, all the air around him, even the breezes. Well, especially the breezes. The tall frozen strands of grass stood in clumps, covered in frost, all about the moorland surrounding ZephyrClan camp. It was silly to traverse from his nest on cold days like this, but he was a warrior, and he needed to provide for his clan. His deep green eyes roamed freely as his visage moved slowly from side to side as he scanned the open land for any signs of prey or movement. His steps were fluid, their movements near exact, seeming to mimic each other as he moved forward, tufts of his long burgundy fur trailing on the snow-touched ground.
Leafbare was quite a disagreeable season, but Neptunestride had been blessed with a handsomely warm coat, providing heat to him along with a somewhat pleasing appearance. He was a shy thing, too humble to even realize his own appearance might be pleasing to some she-cats, and quiet enough to find simple solace within his own company. By himself, Neptune spent the majority of his time, contemplating the answers to questions unasked, a small smile dappling his maw beneath his burnt sienna nose. Wrinkling it as the cold air nipped at both it and his ears, the tom shook himself thoroughly as he paused, shutting his eyes while doing so.
Upon opening his dark olive orbs, they caught on the pelt of a familiar lightly colored tabby she-cat by the name of Bluefire. Her slim and pretty bodice was curled up on a rock and she appeared to be basking in the softly glowing afternoon son. His expression shifting into a more quizzical one, the tom couldn't help but allow his curiosity to impel him to continue onward until the brown somali male had come within earshot of the female. The slow rise and fall of her chest made him realize she was napping, and the words slipped off his tongue before he could even register what he was saying. "Pardon me, but, Bluefire, isn't that an uncomfortable place for a mid-afternoon nap?
[/u]" Neptunestride inquired, tilting his head to one side and taking a half-step forward, watching his female clanmate carefully.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

The pale she-cat woke up to a dark tabby face staring at her. "Ahhhhhh!" she screamed He spoke "Pardon me, but, Bluefire, isn't that an uncomfortable place for a mid-afternoon nap?" She realized that it was Neptunestride. "Oh, hi. Don't EVER do that again!" She chuckled. She bounded off the rock and ran onto the woods. She turned around and poked her head out of the bushes, beconing him to chase her. She flicked her ears and disappeared with a flick of her ringed tail. "Come on!" She mewled from the brush. She thought that the weather was great for a game of chase.

Almost leaping right out of his own pelt, Neptunestride gave a start at the female's odd reaction, leaping backward and then panting to regain his breath. "Well I -
[/u]" He gasped, before beginning to regain his previous disposition. Blinking at her, he nodded to her politely. " Of course not, dear.[/u]" Before she ran off into the woods laughing. ' My, what a strange she-cat.' The deep burgundy shrouded tom thought to himself as his dark olive eyes watched her sleek pale tabby frame dance off without him. As she poked her head out from a bush he couldn't help but let a pawful of chuckles escape him as he lowered his gaze downward and let his tail flick up before his gaze returned to her. " Come on![/i]" She cried, and away he went, his paws pounding the cold earth below them. A smile couldn't help but emerge upon the somali tom's handsome face as he dashed after the female. Through the woods, around the trees, past some bushes. It was trivial fun that apprentices might enjoy, but Neptunestride was also enjoying the silly act. Stopping to regain his breath once more, he panted and little clouds of silveryw hite air formed all about him as he turned his head from left to right, seeking out the pretty female. " Bluefire? Where, uh, are you at?[/u]" He called out, having lost her by taking a break to catch his breath. The tom had tons of energy, he just wasn't used to using a lot of it up so quickly, but he was warming up now and there was no fun in stopping. Opening his mouth to catch the wind in the top of his mouth, he tasted her scent in the air and turned about, watching the bushes rustle. " Bluefire, is that you?[/u]" He asked pointedly, tilting his head curiously and slowly padding forward a step or two. ' I swear, if she jumps out at me again, I might lose it.' Neptunestride thought, flicking his tail worriedly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]
