CLEAR Cautious, cautious. Snaking up along snowy grass, belly brushing the dead, tawny blades. Pausing, flicking an ear. Had anyone heard? Did anyone hear? No. Her hearing was muffled by the wind cover, as was her sense of smell. A few more seconds, and then, Clear leaped to the top, where the grassy hill leveled off to allow a foot hold easily on the smooth slope. Without any protection, the gales rushed against her sleek black fur, threatening to send her tumbling back down the other side. Startled, Clear dug her claws deep into the cold earth, parting her jaws in an unvoiced cry. She managed to get a good hold, but what assaulted her senses afterward nearly made her lose it again. Cats. There must be... as many as the stars in the night sky! The loner stood at the farthest border of Zephyrclan, which she had reached along the lake edge. In the gusty wind, she scented each cat that lived somewhere in the territories reaching ahead of her. But she couldn't pick out any certain one; they all seemed unfamiliar. That only made the hunt more exciting, though. It didn't cross her mind once that heading over the scent marked border might just be her undoing, in some cases. In fact, she didn't stop to consider at all; Clear simply raced down the hill and into the moorland.
The sun broke through the clouds, bright and fiery. It rose from its sleeping place behind the mountains, casting fierce orange shadows over the running ebony feline. The light made her coat appear a softer brown, dusty from her trek. Her lean form was long and feminine, almost startlingly so, as if she had just reached maturity. Clear slowed at daybreak; and it was then that she found herself laying in the shade of a clump of trees. The trees were tall and ominous, cracking together, a solitary tower on the empty moor. The loner lay on her back, looking up at them with curious blue eyes. Every now and then, she noticed a shadow out of place, and heard a tiny chirp. Rather than hunting, however, she lay where she was, fascinated. The run had cut her hind feet when she leaped away from a sharp outcropping; the left bled intermittently. Clear mostly ignored it, except when she licked it, which was infrequently. She enjoyed the pleasant sunhigh under the shady, evil-looking trees, sprawled on her back. It was chilly, but she could almost believe that spring was on its way to the forest.

He was, of course, running. In terror, no less (though that was no rare occurrence for the oddball fellow either). As usual, though, his terror wasn't a full-hearted, raging fear sort of thing. It was almost a habit by now though he'd never admit it. Running was beautiful, and invigorating, and energizing. His attackers did frighten him of course, but he almost didn't mind when they sprung out of the sky from no where. It was a delightful excuse to let his body go and chase the wind. While the beaked menace that pursued him from a distance, assumedly trying to lull him into a false sense of security before popping up again, right on his tail, the fellow kept his long legs pumping.
The earth seemed so far beneath him, like he himself had spouted wings and flew away (what an advantage that would be!), and his surroundings were no longer distinct as he lost himself in the rush of the biting wind tearing through his fur and jerking moisture out of his eyes. It sent sharp aches through his nostrils, where he couldn't help breathing in the frigid air, and kept his brain numbed. However, despite this numbness of thought, the brown tabby couldn't help but let out a cry of delight, by now having forgotten all about his feathered enemy, surely bobbing about in the atmosphere somewhere ages behind him.
At last though, as years of nothingness seems to pass him by, his footfalls became ragged, losing grace as his chest began to burn with the effort of running any further, and he had no choice but to slow his gait to a stumbling lope, feeling far less free now that the moor was firmly beneath his paws and snow clung to his toes and pads. Blinking, he let himself slow to a walk and now panted heavily, wincing as he greedily sucked down freezing air, and the wind continued to bite at him. He had arrived to a lovely stand of trees though, and plopped firmly down to admire them-- very majestic, he noted, inclinding his streamlined face to squint into the overcast sky, eyes wandering until they reached the peak of the pines, looming over ZephyrClan like titans.
Trees freaked him out a little bit, since they were so tall and unnatural-seeming in his home, where he preferred the wide-open space and utter lack of shade, but now he was feeling a bit adventurous. Birds nest in trees. The thought occurred to him, but he ignored it in favor of entering the small grove, nostrils flaring in his alert state. "Whoa, hello?" He wasn't alone, and he didn't think he was among friends either. The scent was sickly sweet, and totally unfamiliar. There was a strange she-cat somewhere about, and he sniffed again to detect her. There! He let out a hearty laugh at the little female's eccentric pose, her belly exposed to him rather ungracefully. "Hi girl." He mewed, assuming he had woken her by now, and took a cautious step toward her.

CLEAR Lying in the grove, the trees waved eerily. Something crept at the base of her neck; a premonition of sorts. A gust of wind tore through the trees, fiercer than any she had ever felt, storm wind. The trees parted and through them walked a lanky black tom-cat, in likeness to herself, though with harder blue eyes. Clear shifted, trying to get up, and go to him; the wind howled and the trees rocked, and the earth seemed to spin like a cradle lost in the sea. The apparition vanished with the roaring gales, in a flash of night. The sound evaporated, leaving the surrounding area quiet as death. Clear woke with a start, blinking up at the bright patches of sky through the trees. How I envision my father, I suppose. She hadn't realized she'd fallen asleep until she was awake, and she set about pondering the dream. It was obvious by how the tom had been a copy of herself that her mind was playing tricks on her, conjuring up 'memories' of a sire she had never seen before. If only I could find Jasmine, she could give me a lead. It had been many moons since she'd seen her mother, when Clear was very young, and immature. Finding her father wouldn't have been such a big deal to her, if she had any other family. But she hadn't seen Moritz or Church, her brothers, in ages either. And the loner was almost certain that her sister, Pumpkin, was dead. Without family or friends, her life was barren indeed.
Just then, a rustling, somewhere close by. The sound dead grass makes when it brushes against the fur of an intruder. Clear pricked her ears. "Whoa, hello?" One of the cats that inhabited this territory; perhaps she had even scented him earlier. Against her better nature, her hackles rose, and just as he came upon her, she rolled over to hide her belly and jumped to her feet. Clear was hardly the suspicious type, but it was just her instincts that told her not to show her belly to a cat she didn't even know. Still, she crept forward anyway, tail streaming through empty air, jerking cautiously to and fro. "Hi girl." At his greeting, she snorted, blue eyes going wide. Clear judged the tom was older than herself; he had yellow eyes, which seemed friendly enough, and a slim body, much like herself, with a tabby pelt. She studied him openly, before speaking. "Hello! I'm Clear. Who might you be? And also, what're you doing here?" Her words came out in a whoosh, as if she had been holding her breath. Well satisfied that he wasn't a threat to her, she stepped forward and sniffed his shoulder, all the while noting his attractively striped fur. Interesting. She had never met a male before that was young and yet so lean and fragile in build. His fur smelled of the moorland, and she guessed that this was where he made his home, somewhere around here. Clear stepped back, out of his space and into her own, though her curiosity was still prevalent and obvious as she watched him. "And what do you mean, 'girl?'" She added, as an after thought.

So she wasn't sleeping after all, he deduced quickly, as she jumped up on the spot, agile and alert, though thoroughly unafraid. While he hadn't aimed to intimidate in the first place, he was still a little offended that she didn't respond in the least to his appearance, despite the fact that he was sure he strongly matched the odor of the very patch of land she had been snoozing on and that he was obviously several moons older than her. A frown flitted across his features for a brief moment, but seemed to disappear as quickly as it had appeared, instead being replaced by a relatively good-nature smile- not quite a grin, only pulling back the corners of his maw ever so slightly. Since he obviously wasn't gonna frighten the little lady, he figured he might as well be on good terms with her, since she certainly wasn't gonna frighten him either. As she looked him up and down, he brushed off the self-conscious feeling her bright gaze presented him and returned the favor, squinting his eyes exaggeratedly at her while he peered at her slender, feminine form. She was all eyes and legs, marked by a predominantly black pelt and a long, excited tail. He liked her, she was cute like a kitten. Probably he eyes, he figured. They were so big and curious that he couldn't possibly imagine anything other than a sweet personality belonging to her.
I'm Clear. Clear? "That's a great name for you! You look like a 'Clear'. I bet you get that a lot," He purred, curling his tail tip and moving only his eyes to hesitantly look down at her as she sniffed him-- a little closer than he'd like, as her scent overpowered him all the same. As she moved away, he took a step back as well, wincing from the unfamiliar smell resonating within his nose and tickling his mouth. All at once, he sneezed once, then twice. Eyes watering from the force of it, he looked up and laughed heartily, "Where are you from? You don't smell a bit like clan!" Rabbitnose shook his head, "You're lucky someone scarier than me didn't find you! I've got a good handful of some pretty scary clanmates." The warrior warned her while casting her a meaningful glance. After a moment of letting his attention wander, as it occasionally had the habit of doing, the tabby snapped back to the present when he remembered she had shot him a pawful of questions.
"Oh! Me. Right I'm Rabbitnose. And I'm here because this is my home." He chuckled, sitting down and lifting a paw to lick rather idly, pausing to shoot her a glance every few licks. How exciting! It was so rare that Rabbitnose ever got to meet anyone new, and though he did like his clanmates he just got so bored of the same old faces day in and day out. Gatherings were few and far between, so chance meetings like this one got his heart all pounding, since it was so nice, this awkward time before friendship. It was looming though-- friendship, that was. Liked her impression on him, very upbeat anyway. Cocking his head slightly, he cast Clear a look that told her what a strange question that was. "Girl. You know, female. Lady, she-cat, lass? S-" He froze, horrified, and widened his eyes all of the sudden, "I mean, you are a girl aren't you?" He drew the question out, hoping he hadn't made a terribly embarrassing mistake. He thought his senses were pretty spot on, but perhaps he was crazy. Or maybe she (or he?) was crazy.
Sometimes Rabbitnose thought it was hard to tell when it came to nutters.

CLEAR "That's a great name for you! You look like a 'Clear'. I bet you get that a lot," She shrugged, impressed by his friendly, talkative nature. "You're the first to say so, actually." She so rarely met cats as willing to chat in a laid back fashion as herself. They were usually all teeth and claws, growling and getting in her face. Clear had given it a lot of thought, but she could never understand how the situation warranted such hostilities. She certainly was no threat; she'd never been in a fight in her entire life! Nor would she dream of starting one with the clan cats. On the contrary, she was eager to learn about them and their world. Their customs, their religion, their strange beliefs. Clear was fascinated by anything and everything, but the four clans were especially interesting for her. She still remembered when she had first learned about them, back in her youth, from the Tempestclan apprentice named Halopaw. Ever since, she had sought to know more, and found herself gathering pieces everywhere she went. From the dirty alleys, to cool glades, and every border and boundary, she added bits to a bigger picture. It was like a mural that was never quite finished. She enjoyed the hunt, almost as much as she enjoyed the one she conducted for her father. It did, at times, frustrate her, though.
Clear sat back on her haunches, enjoying the cool grass under her hot, scratched hind feet. "Where are you from? You don't smell a bit like clan!" Choosing to consider his remark neither an insult nor a compliment, Clear said brightly, "Everywhere, I guess. I was born in a twoleg nest, but I haven't lived there for a good long time." She readily admitted her birth, for she saw no shame in it. Clear wasn't much for keeping secrets. She exclaimed, "You're not scary at all, though!" The lean black she-cat didn't notice his look at all, amusing herself by wrapping her tail around her paw, then unwinding it. She was always wondering about how her body worked. How her tail could wrap about things, as flexible as anything. It amazed her that it didn't snap like a twig. She had noticed, once, how hard it was when she bit it. And yet, she could curl it any which way.
"Oh! Me. Right I'm Rabbitnose. And I'm here because this is my home." Her eyes widened. She hadn't scented him here. "Here? Right here? It must get cold, when it rains! Rabbitnose..." She thought on that for a short while, considering how a cat could be named after another animal. Rabbits, as rule, were scrawny and flighty with big feet and rough pelts. She had tasted a bit of one, once. "Rabbitnose," She repeated, chewing on the word. "That's cute," Clear purred, though privately, she thought he looked nothing at all like a rabbit ought to. But she supposed it would be rather boring, to name him 'Catnose.' His entire clan was likely made up of cats (that was all they allowed, wasn't it? It seemed rather silly to allow rabbits in), so she guessed his parents wanted him to stand out. Rabbitnose. She grinned. It was a good name, when she thought about it. When he gave her another look, she was unfazed, beginning to see that he was fond of giving others quite odd expressions. He looks as if he might sneeze again. "I mean, you are a girl aren't you?" She frowned. "Uh huh." Clear asserted, "If you mean she-cat, that is. What makes you think I'm not?" She glanced down at herself, tried to see the rest of her pelt out of the corners of her eyes. Lifting her head, Clear gave him a peculiar look. "And you're a tom." At first she appeared cautious. She tasted the air, tilting her head slightly, and then nodded vehemently. "Do you belong to Zephyrclan? Or Tempestclan?"

At first, his only response was a faint, thoughtful smile, but the distant chirping of a bird high up in one of the dangerously towering pines-- watching him, of course-- snapped him back to the present, and a chill raced down his spine, making him shiver rather violently. Inclining his head, the tom squinted accusingly into the dark branches above, peering up to try and spot the offending chirper to no avail. Hopefully the little demon had flitted off by now to leave Rabbitnose in peace, but the leggy tabby could never be sure about those things, and it alway set him more on edge than usual when they made an appearance in winter. There was something eerie about birds in the snow, as it was exactly the place they didn't belong.
Everywhere, I guess. The little she-cat before him subtly demanded his attention when she spoke to him once more, and he willingly gave it to her- thankful for both the distraction and the companionship of this friendly stranger. "Everywhere, huh? That sounds.... exhausting. I guess I'm used to treading the same land every day. The idea of waking up some place new whenever you want seems a little bizarre!" He purred, intrigued by the idea. She must have been a good pawful of seasons younger than him, but he was positive she'd have a good many of stories from her travels. Idly, he wondered if he could coax a few out of her.
The idea was tempting, but he felt tense at the same time. He, of course, knew she was trespassing and that it was his duty as a ZephyrClan warrior to chase her ferociously off of their land, but that seemed so silly when she wasn't even stealing prey or anything. She was just.... stopping by. Right? Nevertheless, she didn't belong there and he knew that if he was caught with her, despite his solid reputation as a loyal warrior, his name would be shamed and she might be attacked. It was a littler bit scary to think about that, and he hoped his clanmates would find it in their hearts to be reasonable, since he really wanted to make friends with this 'Clear' lass.
While weighing his chances, he frowned playfully at her. "Hey! I could be scary if I wanted to be! You just didn't seem like a viable threat so I didn't wanna frighten you." He rationalized, kidding no one, not even himself. He looked snuggly and soft and awkward with his plush pelt and gangley legs and big nose, and everyone knew it. "Yep! Right.... here. Well, you know. Around these parts. Camp is actually that way," He made a vague gesture by jerking his head back in the direction he had come from, "And yeah it can be wet but if it rains too much or gets too cold there are burrows and dens and stuff to hide in anyway. And I mean, that's what clanmates are for. Snuggling!" He guffawed cheerfully, "That's how I keep warm anyway. That's why being a grumpy clan cat doesn't get you anywhere in life, you'll just get cold at night if you don't have any friends!" Rabbitnose shook his head and shrugged, "To each their own I guess, and thanks."
He laughed again, this time at her comment about his name. 'Cute'. From someone else it probably would have been condescending but from this little lady he decided to take it as genuine since she seemed more friendly than harsh to him, and he would rather interpret any comment as a compliment than an insult anyway. Plus he sort of prided himself in being a little bit cute anyway. It was like his specialty. "Right! Yeah of course, I mean I figured you were a lady but you seemed, you know... baffled. And yeah I'm a tom," He chuckled, then decided to disregard the whole gender thing anyway and addressed her other comment instead.
"ZephyrClan, and proud of it! You'd know if you were on TempestClan land. It's just squishy and smells like a million unwashed tails," He muttered, grimacing. "Also a TempestClan cat would drive you out. They're mean. I'm impressed you know the names though!" He smiled, friendly as ever.

CLEAR
"I think I should get bored, living in just one place, seeing the same things every day," Clear mewed, for she hadn't really considered that this was what the clan cats did every day. "I would have to wake up upside down, so that I could have a new perspective once and a while!" She decided, noting his reaction to the chirping, which faded from quiet to shrill above them. Of course it could be a little annoying, especially when she was trying to sleep, but Clear really did love the birds. In fact, she envied them. They could just dive into the sky, flapping their feathery appendages, and go anywhere they wanted. She could only walk so far in a day, and could run even less distance. But with wings, who knows how far one could go? To the ends of the Earth, I bet! Probably to the moon and stars! She decided to daydream about what Starclan was like later, when she was alone. How would the cats that twinkled up there alone feel when she could come and go in their territory as she pleased? With wings, there's nowhere I can't go. What a beautiful thing to imagine. Her life would be filled with adventures had on many alien terrains.
Clear grinned at his defensive comment, willingly shaken from her wild imagination. "I bet! You've probably fought a lot of cats, huh?" She mewed, only just considering it. It was in her nature to take cats at face value, so she simply assumed that, when Rabbitnose wanted to be, he was a terror. The loner's head whipped in the direction he gestured that 'camp' was, eager to see it if she could. How she would love to explore the place where the clan warriors were born and raised. She was disappointed to see only vast stretches of moorland through the clump of trees. Still, it didn't dampen her mood, as she listened eagerly to the tom's chatter about cuddling with clan mates. He probably has a lot of friends and family. I wish I knew so many other cats. She followed his lead in moving past the gender issue. There hadn't ever been any doubt in her mind that she was female and he was male, but she'd never been called a 'girl' before. "Also a TempestClan cat would drive you out. They're mean. I'm impressed you know the names though!" She beamed, pleased by his comment about being impressed. "I met a Tempestclan cat once! She was really nice, but also tough, like you. And she told me about the clans, like Celestialclan and Vertigoclan, and some place else too, only she said it wasn't really a 'clan.'" Clear shrugged, disregarding this. "I've never been to a camp though. She said her's was the best, and that there was this really strong tom named Voidstar that led the clan. She didn't say much about Zephyrclan." She glanced at him with bright blue eyes, hesitant. "Is it true that you're all part rabbit?"

He listened, and could only bob his head lightly, his face scrunched into a mask that said he only slightly comprehended what she was saying, as he only had so much perspective to view her life out of, and it made agreeing with her a bit difficult for him. Of course, he figured that should he have been born in the pawsteps she had, he'd feel the same, but he'd been raised practically opposite of her, though he had the nagging feeling they would have a lot more in common than either of them would expect, but at the present Rabbitnose could only think of how comfortable it was to wake up in the same spot every day. It was cozy, never boring! Still, looking down at the petite ebony female, he couldn't see any chance of getting her to understand that.
So he just dipped his head again, and shrugged. "I definitely can see why you'd think that but I couldn't agree less," He laughed, and shrugged again, "I was raised to love ZephyrClan more than anything in the whole wide world, so you could see why I wouldn't get bored by it. It's really nice to tread the same land over again. Not that I wouldn't love to go exploring or something! I totally would! But I would always wanna come back to camp and sleep in my nest next to my clanmates and open my eyes every morning to see my beautiful camp and friends around me and well.. yeah..." He grinned a bit sheepishly, always feeling this way when opposing another's opinion, worried she'd get offended or something. He liked being in agreement, that was all. Still, stumbling across a loner was sure to bring a good handful of different opinons.
So, once more, in a vivid attempt at passivity, Rabbitnose shrugged off their differences and pricked his ears after her, sitting himself down though still a bit tense, as he thought over the outcome of clanmates finding him here with her. Fortunately he was generally in good light to the rest of ZephyrClan, as he had never done them wrong and compared to his ridiculously flirtatious brother and clan-abandoning father he was practically a saint. It would be fine! Having reassured himself, he settled down by slouching against one of the trees, looking quite languid.
He erupted in sudden laughter as Clear did her best to humor him- and he certainly appreciated the effort! He knew he wasn't scary at all (thought admittedly quite a bit more frightening than the little black loner) but was still quite glad she decided to go along with it anyway, anything to boost his self-esteen a bit, but when compared to any of his male relatives-- well, the gangley brown tom wasn't much to fear. But, thinking on it, he had been in his share of scuffles with other clans, and even his siblings. As youngsters he and Runningfox had always been tussling. "Actually..." He meowed, "I have! I mean I used to fight more as an apprentice (that's when you're rather young and still learning all the moves) but yeah I mean the clans are pretty peaceful right now but we used to get in the occasional fight with greedy ol' TempestClan or Delirium or something, yeah. I mean, it's not to say I haven't fought. And I hold my own actually!" He crowed, really quite proud of himself on this realization.
The tabby glanced over his shoulder where Clear seemed to peer hopefully, as if camp could be seen from here. "Don't bother, it's a ways off, and mostly covered by some trees and things. It really is a site to behold though! ZephyrClan camp is beautiful. The dens are small and usually nests are just out in the open, and there's a little brook running alongside camp..." He trailed off, content in the mental image he painted. "Yep, really nice." He concluded.
Furthermore, he was impressed at all the contact Clear had gotten, and even moreso that this TempestClan female hadn't clawed the lass's ears off. "You don't say! Yeah VertigoClan's up that way, and CelestialClan right next to it. Mountain clans. I'll never understand 'em. They're brimming with trees and that's about it-" He stopped short and took a moment to guffaw at her next comment, his whole slender frame shaking mirthfully. "Absolutely! If it wasn't so darned snowy out I'd show you how fast I can run! I won't though, because I'm pretty slow once ice gets stuck between my pads. But yeah, hares. The lot of us. Anyway tell me about yourself! mean, loners can come from anywhere. Are you a kittypet or what? " |

CLEAR
" It's really nice to tread the same land over again. Not that I wouldn't love to go exploring or something! I totally would! But I would always wanna come back to camp and sleep in my nest next to my clanmates and open my eyes every morning to see my beautiful camp and friends around me and well.. yeah..." Clear grinned at him, thinking that his idea didn't sound too bad anyway. She had felt that way with her twoleg nest at first; always adventuring outside the boundaries, but returning to curl up before the fire. Then one day she had walked away and never thought of returning; she never really thought about her old home anymore, but sometimes she missed how easy it had been then. Food hadn't been stalked or hunted, and it had been always there, a dependable source. Water was always clean and fresh, provided by her twolegs. She'd liked those things, but there hadn't really been anyone except for her brother, Moritz, to play with. And he was a big scaredy cat; too afraid to venture outside of the garden with her. Of course, when she had left for good, he had stayed behind. Of all the things that she missed about her twoleg nest, it was her brother. In a way, it was comforting to be around Rabbitnose, because though he wasn't much like Moritz, he was still a young tom around her age, and his presence was nice. Maybe she'd stick around; Clear liked the feel to the rolling moorland, dotted with trees, and the friendly cats that survived there. "You should come and see my nest sometime," the skinny black she-cat purred, considering the fact that she had had several nests since leaving her twolegs. "I'd love to see Zephyrclan camp," she added wistfully, thinking of all the springy-legged cats racing around in the camp she envisioned.
"Wow," the loner murmured, thinking of all the fights he must have truly been in. "I've never fought before. It looks scary." Talking with this clan cat was quite a treat; all of the images he painted for her, glorious in their newness. She wouldn't mind if he just sat and told her all about his life, all day long. Clear had no want to tell him about her own life; it seemed pretty boring in comparison. Still, he had been bound to ask. "But yeah, hares. The lot of us. Anyway tell me about yourself! mean, loners can come from anywhere. Are you a kittypet or what?" Clear stared at him in amazement for a while, really believing that he was part rabbit, or at least trying to wrap her mind around the idea. No wonder he was named Rabbitnose! His ancestors had been hares! She wished she could say the same about her family. "Er..." She blinked a couple of times, then smiled dazedly and set about answering the question. "Well, I was a kittypet, but only for the first part of my life. Ever since I was six or seven moons old I've been living in the forest, here and there." She shrugged, thinking he would probably be disappointed with her meager accomplishments. "I think my dad might be a clan cat! My mom, Jasmine, was a kittypet, and she told me his name once. It was a really long time ago though, so I can't remember. It was long! And it sounded pretty tough, too. I have a bunch of siblings, but I hardly ever see them either, so I'm pretty much on my own, I guess," she mewed, feeling the weight of it upon voicing it aloud. "I've been thinking about joining a clan or something, or maybe going farther into the mountains, somewhere no cat has ever been!"

Rabbitnose bobbed his head, making as if to reply to her comment about fighting, but she had already darted ahead in conversation, and he was pleased to oblige by darting alongside her, keeping up with only a hearty laugh and a twitch of his slender tailtip. Kittypet, huh? For some reason, he struggled a bit with that visual as she looked really quite natural out roaming the moor, and thought to say it before realizing the visual of any cat living plumply inside of one of those scary twoleg nests being fed until they exploded and sleeping all the live-long day seemed a fair bit unnatural to him! "Yeah," Rabbitnose finally meowed after hearing her out, "I can't imagine I'd stay either! The tabby chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. He pricked his ears all of the sudden, showing a far bit of interest in what she said next.
"Part clan, you say? That's somethin'! It's a shame you don't know his name! I could help you find him!" The ZephyrClan warrior mewed, a bit giddy by the idea of reuniting Clear with her family, but he wasn't entirely sure if she was interested, and couldn't help sympathizing with her lack of family. "Yeah.. I've actually got a ton of kin in my clan but by now they're pretty much all dead or missing or something.... I don't know, death is something you get used to I guess anyway, it happens to the best of us!" He joked, scrunching up his nose laughingly.
"Yeah!" He dipped his head, "Exploring anywhere you please would be mighty interesti- Oh mousetails! Listen, you gotta get out of here Clear, I'm sorry! I hear a patrol coming, and I don't wanna grt caught chatting with a trespasser. Trust me, it wouldn't look good! Really sorry, I gotta run. And so do you! I wanna see you again sometime though!" He retreated a few steps, and dipped his head in good-bye, "Don't forget me in your travels!" He added quickly before turning and running into the moor, where he heard his clanmates approaching.
