Fatesong lay curled in a stray ray of sunshine that had peaked in through the branches of overhead cottonwood. Camp was a hectic place to be at this point; all of the motion with patrols going and coming, cats playing and hunting, warriors reinforcing the camp walls. She enjoyed being with her clan mates, but occasionally she missed the quiet of Delirium, where she could be completely alone and no one would say a word to her. Thus she had gone for a walk in the territory, about sunhigh. It wasn't long after that she found this quiet little clearing, with a thin cottonwood tree growing overhead. It was so peaceful here, and she felt protected, having the thickly growing trees around her, but also warm, because sun came through their branches. There were some advantages to having a black pelt, and getting warm fast was one of them, though she wasn't aware of this. Fatesong nearly dozed off, listening to nothing but the birdsong, but knew it would be irresponsible to do so, even in her own territory. Besides, her mind was full of thoughts.

He looked up and let a rough purr escape his throat, acknowledging the milky sunlight filtering down from above CelestialClan's lush foliage. It was refreshing to have such a pleasant change from the freezing overcast weather that had been shadowing the clans for what seemed like ages. The tom didn't always mind winter all so much, as it was such a beautiful and peaceful handful of moons, but it held too many cons for him to truly enjoy himself while snow still littered the forest floor, and now knowing spring ought to be rising up soon he was incredibly eager. His paws itched for the warmth and prey that new-leaf promised, and this day was faintly reminiscent of the paradise to come.
This, of course, was the reason he found himself out wandering the territory now. He had half a mind to peek over the VertigoClan border, perhaps just to settle his racing thoughts and maybe clear his mind if he could confirm that he and that lovely ginger lass were true rivals after all, but after the first meeting he just couldn't convince himself. She seemed to enjoy his company almost as much as he enjoyed hers, and that struck him as incredibly odd. He just couldn't get Flamingarrow out of his head!
With a soft sigh, he continued to slink through the trees like a pale shadow, and yelped quietly when he quite literally stumbled across the petite black form of one of his clanmates, who had been napping in the clearing he had only just found himself in. "Oh gosh! I'm sorry F-Fatesong!" He stumbled over her name as he called it to mind, but then dipped his head when he knew for sure that was her name. Also a former rogue, but she'd been in the clan longer. "I didn't even see you there! You looked like a shadow.." Garnetbone added, a bit awkwardly now that he had woken her and so thoroughly embarrassed himself, he didn't know what to say to patch up the situation.

Hmm, maybe just a few moments. Her eyes were heavy, and her duties were finished. Perhaps just a short time to dream... Fatesong only realized she'd truly dozed off when something hit her, first one thing bouncing against her shoulder, then another, and then two others bumping against her, slightly harder. Damn. The sleek black she-cat jumped to her paws with a hiss, whirling to stare into unnatural red eyes. Fear coursed through her, for the cat seemed familiar, extremely so. She bristled, stumbling backward several steps until she was able to make out, in the dim clearing, a white tom cat standing in her sun ray. The former rogue stared at him for a while, until his Celestialclan smell, still not as distinct as that of Hallowstar's, wreathed around her. Set at ease, she relaxed, claws sliding carefully back into their sockets. Echer... "Garnetbone!" She frowned at him, then grasped at what he was saying and her features formed a wolfish smile. "I realize I'm small, and my pelt certainly isn't as easy to see as your's, but that's no excuse to go tripping over top of me!" She mewed in a chiding voice, one she might use to scold a kit she wasn't really angry with. He was older than her, of course, but there was no way of knowing how her experiences fell against his own. She had managed to raise three full blood rogue kits in a serene clan without too much trouble, though. Fatesong considered that a worthy accomplishment. Realizing she was still rather tense, the ebony female sat down, licked a paw, and drew it over the side of her face, brushing her ears with it. She had just one spot of white, and she could see how it would've been easy to mistake her for a shadow, curled up as she was. "I don't think I'll flay you this time, though," She mewed, still smiling. "I suppose it was an honest enough mistake." At ease, she flicked an ear at his embarrassment. He seemed like a nice tom; most cats wouldn't have been so apologetic. "So, what're you doing out here, Garnetbone?" Fatesong meowed, resisting the urge to add 'other than bruising your clan mates?,' as it was obvious he felt awkward enough.

Her immediate reaction was hostile, which threw him off a bit before he remembered hearing about her origins. Delirium. Of course as any cat in the area had, Garnetbone had been bebriefed on that group of rogues lead by the now TempestClan tom known as Blackshard, then just Shard. Of course, he also felt a bit self-conscious as she peered into his hauntingly scarlet eyes. Of course, they were enough to put anyone off a bit. He shivered as the recognition slowly dawned in her gaze, and her fur once more lay flat, but visuals accompanying stories he had heard about the rogues still flashed before him. That was, until Fatesong spoke. Chiding, but not overly upset. "Sorrysorry!" He yelped again, flattening his ears against the nape of his neck rather sheepishly, "Sorry...." Obviously he was feeling quite apologetic, and surely this clanmate saw that, so he stifled any further 'sorrys' that threatened to bubble up out of him uncalled for, and sat down, still rather regretful, he wrapped his long tail about his paws and glanced at her hesitantly.
I dont think I'll flay you this time, She promised him rather graciously, and a grin finally broke over his rough features, "Oh I'd be ever so grateful if you'd spare me this time ma'am!" Garnetbone purred, at last regaining his spirits a bit now that he was forgiven. "Oh, not... much." He meowed, almost guilty as he recalled what exactly his intentions had been. Better leave that bit out of the conversation. "Just making an escape from the activity I suppose, as I haven't got to patrol until this evening. Best enjoy a bit of solitude before then right? I assume you're doing the same. I guess I generally assume we're on the same page with a lot of things, huh? Maybe I'm wrong, but living in a clan's a little too hectic for anyone at times."

She hadn't fully grasped the implications of her bristling reaction to him until he burst out with a trail of apologies. "Sorry," Fatesong murmured, using his word, "Guess I'm still pretty paranoid." She gave her shoulder a quick lick of partial embarrassment. She hated being so jumpy, but it was only natural. Either is was part of her personality or it had been beaten into her. She couldn't help it, unfortunately. Still, her paranoia had gone down since her kits had left the nursery and began training. The mother would probably never consider Rowanpaw, Dewpaw, and Veilpaw as being completely safe, but at least now they could defend themselves. And they're all growing bigger, even Dewpaw. She was so proud to see her littlest, the hard of hearing tortoiseshell, on the path to becoming a strong and honorable warrior. If she had raised her kits in Delirium, with their father... She didn't like to think of how much different they would be. She laughed, glad the tense part of their contact had passed. "Oh I'd be ever so grateful if you'd spare me this time ma'am!" Fatesong nodded, stretching out a foreleg. "Just don't disturb my nap again!" It had been so long since she'd actually fought. There'd been the battle with Tempestclan, but she'd only just been out of the nursery then, and Hallowstar hadn't chosen her to fight. She wished he had. She'd trained with her former apprentice, Crystalbreeze, but that wasn't real combat. All of the months without practice made her nervous; she wanted to brush up on her skills and make sure they were still there for when she needed them. The ebony female gave the opposite pelted tom a quizzical look, sensing his guilt in his halting response. She didn't press, however. Fatesong had learned not to question others on many accounts. "I assume you're doing the same. I guess I generally assume we're on the same page with a lot of things, huh? Maybe I'm wrong, but living in a clan's a little too hectic for anyone at times." To this, she nodded appreciatively. "It was nice at first, all of the cats around, all of the safety." She sighed, tilting her head back a bit wistfully, "But every now and then I miss being on my own, quiet, freedom." The she-cat decided to voice her earlier concern. "It feels like it's been ages since I've fought, too. Clan life is far more peaceful." Realizing she was guiding the conversation, Fatesong added easily, "Do you miss being a loner much? Clan life isn't for everyone, but I didn't have much choice." She shrugged, the comment about herself offhand this time. She couldn't help but wonder if he'd heard her story, gossiped about through camp as it had been.

Once they were, at last, on the same page, Garnetbone allowed a more genuine smile to sweep across his face which considerably ligthened his rather ominous features. "All apologies past," he mewed, chuckling, "I'd say it's all good and settled." The former rogue purred and twitched his tail, gliding gracefully from his former sitting position to a more comfortable spot on the ground, where he sprawled his rather sizeable frame along the grass that carpetted the clearing, and squinted up at his clanmate, flicking his whiskers contently. She responded, and at once the tom knew he could get along with her. She seemed so amiable, but there were fierce undertones to her movements and words, her gaze could surely turn to daggers in a moment's notice-- he liked that, she seemed strong. He could only guess at the she-cat's history, sure it was just as rich as his own, if not more so.
Leaning back slightly, the ivory fellow closed his eyes and listened to her speak, so willing to chat with him. It was nice-- social interaction without the pressure, he thought. Without opening his eyes, he answered rather softly, as he occasionally did. "It's like being a part of a big family, I like that," He bobbed his head, as if agreeing with himself, "But yeah, I can't stand it sometimes. I think maybe one day I'll get used to it at least a little bit but I feel like there'll always be a part of me that needs alone time. I've just been trained that way. I mean, I always like company and as a rogue I was always incredibly lonely--" He winced visibly when a vision of his younger brother, a black ball of spirit and energy, flashed before his eyes for an agonizing moment, "Which is why I joined the clan in the first place. Company. But so many moons of being by myself and being raised to have the company of only a few cats at a time makes all this constant activity a little exhausting. I mean I used to be able to do what I wanted whenever I pleased. I miss that a little bit." The albino admitted almost guiltily, though he assumed Fatesong would be understanding about it, he still cringed at the thought of fessing up to anything less than absolute love for his new home. Thus he quickly backpeddled.
"Nothing against CelestialClan, of course! It's great. Lots of perks." He chuckled, then cocked his head, thinking back a moment to something she had said before. Peaceful? His thoughts took him back to the battle against TempestClan and he shook his head, "I wouldn't say peaceful, really. My life as a loner was relatively docile. And," He paused, wishing the tingling in his claws would go away as he recalled the sensation of shredding the flesh of strangers, "I've never seen something quite so violent as a battle between clans."

Fatesong watched as a smile spread over his face, noticing its charm and honesty. She was really enjoying this chat with Garnetbone. They had come from similar backgrounds, at least more so than with others, and their personalities complemented each other. The former Delirium female was taken with his open, easy going behavior. She was naturally quite paranoid, and tended to be suspicious, so it was refreshing to speak with one that set her at ease. She also liked that he set the matter of his mishap at rest, albeit politely. It wouldn't be difficult, to become friends with him. She would like it a lot, to have more companionship inside the clan. Yes, she was quite solitary, but being surrounded by other cats chattering to each other while she sat alone got old fast. It was easier in Delirium, where words were less necessary. Of course she had Hallowstar, and her three kits, but they were all quite busy. The medicine cat, Fawndance, had always been friendly to her as well but again she felt she couldn't distract the old healer from her duties. So she'd gotten used to being alone, even if she didn't enjoy it as much anymore. Garnetbone was a double blessing; a cat she could chat freely with, without having to worry she was taking his valuable time; and also, a former loner, one that would have known many of the experiences she herself had. Still, Fatesong decided, gazing down at him, I'm more at ease when his eyes are closed... It was so unnatural, a cat with crimson eyes. And yet she felt she'd almost definitely met one, perhaps the same, before. "I think maybe one day I'll get used to it at least a little bit but I feel like there'll always be a part of me that needs alone time." The black warrior nodded at this, completely agreeing. "I mean I used to be able to do what I wanted whenever I pleased. I miss that a little bit." She was about to speak a reply when he quickly amended himself, causing a quick laugh from her. "The clan is definitely a lot more strict than the lifestyle of a loner, I'm sure." Fatesong shrugged as he disagreed with her comment about Celestialclan being peaceful. "I've seen worse, though I didn't see much of the battle." She sighed, rolling her yellow eyes faintly. "Hallowstar didn't allow me to fight." Taking his idea as a good one at last, the female flopped down on the shady, dry grass. It wasn't as pleasant as it would be in Greenleaf, but she was certain Newleaf was on its way. "Do the other cats treat you alright?" She rolled onto her back briefly, but the feeling of having her belly that exposed was troublesome. After a bit of movement, she settled for laying on her side, looking in Garnetbone's direction. "I don't think they like me very much, to be honest. Not other than the leader and the medicine cat, but Fawndance helped me with my kits, so its only natural she would've gotten used to me. I get the feeling Celestialclan is a pretty clean blooded clan, or at least they think they are. Before you and Jaggedmoon, I was the only non-clan cat here." She blinked, considering how the other warriors had warmed to her with time, but only a little. "I guess we're all clan cats now, though. It's still nice, having someone a bit more like myself to talk to."

Though his eyes remained serenely shut, leaving him in the dimly-lit cave that made up his thoughts and the peaceful presence of another alone in the forest. Around him, the predominantly leafless trees danced and swayed, clacking together like bones-- a sound Garnetbone had always loved, as haunting as it was. A dirge that only winter could bring and resonate in the ears of all for moons on end. It was strange, how he hardly even heard it until he pricked his ears and tried to find it in the crisp air, the promise of new-leaf brushing through his fur. "Yeah..." He murmured absently, taking a moment to distance himself from his clanmate in an effort to embrace the dead forest's song. But with the weak wind came little noise other than a subtle birdsong, so he opened his eyes for a brief moment to glance her way, satisfied that she had joined him on the forest's generous carpet, and felt all the more casual with her there and then.
"Yeah." The albino repeated, finding himself at once more firmly in the present. "Of course I ran into some not-so-great stuff along the way. I mean really that's grossly understating some of the stuff I've seen--" He interjected himself, then went on thoughtfully. "But you're right, my life has always been fairly peaceful. At least compared to the mental image I've got of Delirium," Garnetbone coughed then, shivering to think of Fatesong's upbringing there, in the land of what had always seemed like nightmares to him. He still had trouble wrapping his paws around it as a reality for some, much less such for the ebony female before him. She seemed so at ease, which in turn let the tom relax himself a bit more. He felt as thought he fought to keep up a bit of a false pretense when with the other members of his clan. Doing his best to keep them all pleased, to prove his worth at every turn. She, of course, could identify with that.
"It's a good thing you didn't see that damned fight. I have no doubt you've seen worse but still..." He trailed off for a heartbeat, reminiscing. "Anyway, you had kits to care for still. Hm? Oh, oh yeah.." He murmured when she meowed a soft question to him, he bobbed his broad head. "As good as I could ask for. CelestialClan is obviously a very proud clan, so of course it's a little hard to make my own niche, you know? But it's better than being lonely, and I've.... made some friends." The former rogue let his voice trail off as he added the last bit, wishing he hadn't. Was Flamingarrow really a friend? He still wanted to convince her to be more, but that would never work of course, and he didn't really have other friends in the clan. No one to be close to at least, just acquaintences. The thought dug into him like a thorn, and he picked it out and spat it away. He'd make friends with time, his clanmates just needed to get used to him.
"It had to be rough, especially coming from such a dodgy past-- no intentions to be insensitive of course!" He amended hastily, shaking his head, "But like I said they're proud cats, and if I'm correct in my CelestialClan history, Hallowstar wasn't in the lead back then was he? I can't keep track, but he's definitely a wonderful leader. I'm glad he was kind enough to take me in like a lost kit anyway. But yeah," Garnetbone bobbed his head in agreement, knowing he didn't need to rehash just how refreshing it could be to relate to someone in a world of near-strangers.

She sighed quietly, listening to him speak about the things he'd seen and Delirium. Fatesong would bet all the prey in the forest the things the two of them had seen put together could shock just about any Celestialclan cat. She had never told her sons about Delirium, and Dewpaw had never pressed. There was the story; they always wanted to know more about their father's involvement, but she told them it was a tom's nature not to stick around, outside of the clans. They probably hadn't benefited a lot in their minds from Conrad's absence, but she figured they'd thank her if they knew the circumstances. Anyway, what Fatesong had told them was that both of their parents were born in Delirium, and then she'd given them a little background, and told them a couple benign stories. That was it. They knew the names of her kin, but not the histories behind her family. They don't need to know. She had a bad feeling that one way or another they'd find out someday anyway. The darker of the two nodded at his comment about her kits. "They'd just been out of the nursery then..." She agreed, more than happy to just listen to him without interrupting. "It had to be rough, especially coming from such a dodgy past-- no intentions to be insensitive of course!" Fatesong smiled wryly. "Of course not. You don't have to worry about offending me. Delirium is a horrible place to be born." She stopped there, feeling a twinge of a bitter taste on her tongue. I can't keep track, but he's definitely a wonderful leader. I'm glad he was kind enough to take me in like a lost kit anyway. Her yellow eyes glowed slightly, both at his praise of the leader and his self describing term. "Hallowstar is really the best of them all," She mewed, "But no, he wasn't the leader when I came. Just a warrior." There was an endearing quality to both Hallowstar and Garnetbone, that she was surprised to be lucky enough to see in two different cats. Fatesong had different feelings on the two of them, though. She felt a driving compassion for both toms, an underlying need to reassure the leader and a pressing emotion to care for the white tom, despite the fact that both were older than she was. "Cometstar was leader of Celestialclan at that time, and a she-cat named Titianfoot was his deputy." She tried to envision what Garnetbone had been through in his equally short life. But she couldn't visualize it, so she merely wondered. Had his family and upbringing as a loner been as disastrous as her own, or more? Something odd and sad came over her, just thinking about this sweet guy going through the same things she had. And that made her a little more bold. Nothing could be hurt in asking. "What's your story, Garnetbone?" She murmured quietly, so much so she wasn't sure he would hear. Hesitantly, Fatesong added, "I'd tell you mine in exchange, but... Well, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. It's probably not something you like to just tell all over." She frowned, a little embarrassed after all.

They'd just been out of the nursery, She commented, and it made his heart twinge a bit as he thought of it- her, a life lost. He almost pitied her before he caught himself realizing such a feeling was his no place to give, and did his best to empathize instead. Of course, it would've been hard for her. Her mate was gone, to where Garnetbone didn't think it was proper of him to inquire, but nevertheless gone. The young ones in the throes of a whole new life, one where she felt like a stranger in her supposed home. How rough it must have been! At least his entering CelestialClan had been relatively easy and painless, though he felt that he was forced to fight TempestClan to prove his worth- but in the long run it was easy as could be! Not to mention little to no emotional strain. He couldn't say the same for Fatesong though, looking upon her with a new respect in his eyes as all of it dawned on him. "You'll have to tell me about it sometime," He murmured, quite absent as he said it, hoping that perhaps he wouldn't come off as pressing. He didn't want to reopen any particularly painful wounds of hers, and simply assumed talking about the rogue clan may bring some of those injuries to the surface.
"Yeah I've heard some mention of Cometstar here and there. Titianfoot was.... a bit cowardly was she not? Or maybe too young for the job.. either way I haven't heard much good of either of them. I'm not one to judge though-- some just aren't cut out for positions of authority. I know I'd struggle. Sometimes, though...." The albino paused, mulling the idea over, "Sometimes I think I could do it. I'd like to give it a fair shot anyway, huh? I don't think I'd be too shabby of a leader. I've got a lot to learn though before I could ever consider something like that. I don't think rogue-born cats really get the chance at that kind of thing anyway." He shrugged, not particularly dejected anyhow. Being a warrior usually suited him just fine.
"Oh." He meowed softly, with a slight start. That was rather ubrupt, and he wasn't even sure he could articulate all the points in his life that made him who he was. "Well, I can try to tell you. Or.. I mean, I could summarize. I've been alive quite a while, after all." He laughed softly, and closed his eyes again, rolling over to expose his downy belly, taught with winter's bane.
"Let's see here..." The tom began, sifting through his thoughts and pushing away Flamingarrow's lovely face to the corners of his conscience. No, that wasn't the she-cat he was looking for, but instead a different lass. Far more ignorant, far more pathetic. His mother, that was the one. A stunning brown tabby, vivid golden eyes to boot, surrounded by toms throughout Echer's entire life- none of the chaps did her a lick of good. Only bad, she was always suffering, and he could only stand by and watch, eventually becoming very similar to that himself. Wincing at the thought, he began in hushed tones. "As melodramatic as it sounds, I never knew my dad. I mean, you know toms er- have a tendency to up and disappear.." He completed his thought just having realized how relevant it was, and twitched his whiskers sheepishly, wishing he could be a bit more sensitive.
Nevertheless, he went on quickly, "I was always with my mum. She was a stunning she-cat I think, since toms couldn't get enough of her. I think she hated me a little bit, too, because I was... Well, weird looking. Anyone can agree I'm not really attractive. I've got these awful, awful eyes and just stark white fur and bulky and well yeah. I don't know if I ever had siblings but if I did they were dead pretty quickly, since I don't remember them. Anyway like I said she raised me because she felt obligated but we moved to the city so she wouldn't have to be around me so much I think, because after we moved I only saw her when I could hunt her down. She abandoned me, in retrospect, but at the time I guess I could never get it in my head. I saw awful things there, in the city. Things they did to my mother, " he shuddered, "You don't need the details. Anyway she had a good lot of abusive toms fighting over her and beating her and whatnot all the time. I had to take care of her when they weren't around because she was pretty thoroughly messed up. Anyway she died-- because of me, but that's a story for another day, hope you don't mind-- and I ran out of the city. Long story short, one of my (many, many) siblings found me along the way and I loved to care for him and whatnot, so he was a wonderful companion. I suppose you've heard about VertigoClan's recent wolf problem though yes? Well, that monster made a quick end of my brother. I've been lonely, I came here."
He sighed, finished. And, while not a particularly long tale, he felt exhausted all the same, as though he had relived all the parts he skipped over and made light of. Truly, they were awful to remember- the graphic images that danced before his closed eyelids, making his ears burn with such alien emotions like hate and fear and ultimate depression-- it only reminded him of all the lowest points of his exsistance. He remained silent, wondering what Fatesong would make of it. |

She smiled, a brief, flash of a grin. Fatesong knew that at one point or another she would tell him, but not now. She wanted to, but she still wasn't sure. The she-cat had always been rather untrusting, just out of habit and necessity. She simply nodded at his comment about leadership; she wouldn't ever choose to lead a clan. There were too many ways to screw up, too many things that could go wrong. Hell, if she was deputy now, they might very well be in the same position. "As melodramatic as it sounds, I never knew my dad. I mean, you know toms er- have a tendency to up and disappear.." The female snorted, giving him an almost amused look. "Yes, they do," was her agreement, in a tone of good nature. It didn't really bother her, anyway. It had been her choice to raise her kits on her own. But now wasn't the time to say that, and interrupt. Besides, he was moving quickly along, something he seemed to do when he was embarrassed. As Garnetbone told his story, she closed her eyes, and tried to visualize his life, his growing up, his mother, and especially, how he felt about all of it and himself. Her facial expression remained passive, until the last. "Well, that monster made a quick end of my brother. I've been lonely, I came here." Still laying on her side, Fatesong's yellow eyes flicked open, focusing on him. "I admire the fact that you were able to tell me all of that, being the almost stranger that I am," she mewed, thoughtfully. It wasn't her place to judge his story, or the parts in it, though she could tell it troubled him greatly. "Sounds like you've had a long life, and a difficult one," Fatesong said lightly, focusing on something at the edge of the shadowy clearing. "But you won't be alone from here on out." She glanced back at him, and grinned. "You've got me now, and of course everybody else. But... if you need someone... I'm here. " She half shrugged, tongue flicking over her teeth as she yawned. "It's corny, I know."

He continued to leave his namesake-gaze hidden safely away behind his eyelids, so he couldn't exactly see his clanmate, but he heard her shifting slightly near him, and appreciatively grunted at the light tones of her voice. It brought a smile to his maw, though it faded quickly as it came, though his mood hadn't dissipated much. Still, it was hard to keep his spirits up when he brought his past to the front of his mind, letting those vivid and frankly horrible images rattle his thoughts. So while not entirely gloomy about it, he couldn't really keep his cheery facade up in that moment anyway. I admire the fact, she told him, and he snorted, opening his eyes and rolling so that he was right-side-up again, and looked at her with his broad head cocked slightly.
"Yeah?" He shrugged, though it was awkward as he was lying down, making the movement stiff and cold-looking. One could tell from his ever-friendly features, though, that Garnetbone would never be icy on purpose, it was simply against his nature and his glowing heart wouldn't put up with that sort of behavior. "I didn't think twice of it, to be honest. You are.... genuine. To me. I guess I still don't know you very well, but I think that if we both expounded on each others experiences we'd find a lot of overlap, you know? We're one in the same in a group like CelestialClan." The albino drew a forepaw over his nose thoughtfully, then turned and let his gaze drift. "It's not corny, it's sweet, and I really really appreciate the gesture." He smiled into the forest, but he was sure Fatesong would have seen it, as he turned back to meet her eyes, his own gaze softened. "I really appreciate it. I'm sure you know I feel the same, I'd always be here if you need me. Although I'm sure you're much more accustomed to clan life by now anyhow. Regardless, friends?" He asked, as though needing to make it official.

Fatesong nodded, still thoughtful. There was a small group of rogue warriors in Celestialclan now, including herself, Garnetbone, and another tom named Jaggedmoon. However, Garnetbone was one of the few she thought she might be able to trust. She was hesitant to trust any cat, but like he had said, the white tom just seemed so genuine to her. Real, for the first time in moons, like she was finally breaking past her new clan's perfect surface. It was really, really nice. "I really appreciate it. I'm sure you know I feel the same, I'd always be here if you need me. Although I'm sure you're much more accustomed to clan life by now anyhow. Regardless, friends?" She was happy to hear him say that, also. Slowly but surely, the she-cat was building a support system within her adopted clan. Fatesong grinned, feeling the strength of what their friendship could be there, and less of the corniness. "Friends," she affirmed, making the bond official.
