Snow! For some reason, the softly colored ginger femme was utterly enticed by the wet stuff. It made her paw pads go numb and her nose water, but the pretty girl didn't mind. Rosepaw liked winter, even if it caused the most hardships. Empty, or emptier, bellies and a sniffle or two couldn't get her down out of her happier mood. In the last moon or so, she'd accomplished more than she ever had before. Ridding herself of her awkward ways and growing in to her pretty face as the other apprentices began to near her size, she finally felt as if she was fitting in. That and the fact that she would become a warrior soon! Everything that she had accomplished so far lead up to this pivotal moment in her life. Afterall, not many things happened to warriors after they received their names. Well, not many that an apprentice would realize.
In reality there was an unending stream of possibilities, but apprentices only saw that there was hardly a chance of them becoming a deputy or leader. Rarely until after they hit the lovely moons directly following their apprenticeship did they see that there was so much more to be done. Awkward and bumbling she-cats blossomed into graceful and loving mothers and lovers. Shy, battle-hungry toms matured from their first battles and learned that fighting - and she-cats - weren't the only things to look forward to. Proving themselves to their families each and every day by hunting and protecting their clan just might be enough.
Now, as Rosepaw reached the top of the hill, she thought back a few moons. She'd taken a tumble down the long slanted land and now she was sliding and slipping about cheerfully with a grin upon her face. Things had changed since she stood wide-eyed in front of an older tom, mumbling and stuttering replies to his polite questions. Preparing herself for what was coming, she tensed her muscles only to relax them and took the slippery plunge down the hill, giggles escaping her maw as her silvery periwinkle eyes filled to the brim with happiness. "Watch out, Glenpaw!
" She yowled, roaring with laughter as she rolled right past him and into a deep snow bank, her body leaving an outline as she turned over and stuck her head out. " Your turn!" p.s. it's not that big of a hill otherwise they'd die LOL[/blockquote][/blockquote]

GlenpawAnd I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's meant to be broken I just want you to know who I am. Relaxing from the stressful past moons, the charcoal tom found himself pleased to spend more and more time with Rosepaw, the light cream apprentice that he once hated. They had bonded in the last couple of moons and it was the kind of bond he had created with Crystalpaw, but a friendship bond. The way he was now friends with Rowanpaw, Veilpaw's brother. Rosepaw made Glenpaw feel light, like the snow that had fallen on CelestialClan's land and now covered up their territory. The snow had come on fast and the weather was drawing near to a chilly beginning. The white flakes made him smile though and it was even more exciting knowing that soon Glenpaw would be announced as warriors. His warrior ceremony was coming up and it made him extra excited. Even then, he thought back to when Crystalpaw and he had first shared their conversation in the dark apprentice den. It was the first time he'd really spoken with anyone since the death of Ivypaw. He still hadn't mentioned her name in a long time, but Rosepaw made him feel alright with keeping it a hidden. Keep it a secret, keep it safe. In his memories he was haunted, but out in the real world, Glenpaw was maturing into a fine young warrior. He'd met friends, found someone to love, and found enemies. Of course that could have been helped, but Glenpaw really is a stubborn tom. He only makes friends carefully. It took a long time for him to warm up with Rosepaw, but they went on many hunting parties together and soon he realized that she wasn't as bad as he thought, not as bad as Dewpaw anyways. Rosepaw had matured since then too. Ever since the battle with TempestClan, CelestialClan has grown as it came to leaf-bare. Jaspersun's death was avenged in the end. Now he waited patiently as he expected Rosepaw to come and find him. They were just outside the camp on a small sloped hill. Not too high and not to level. The hill, supposedly, was supposed to be a lot of fun. Rosepaw believed that anyways. Glenpaw wasn't sure, he thought he remembered her saying that it was called 'sledding', but he couldn't remember. Now he awaited her arrival. As he was lost in thought and freezing, he heard an explosion of giggles as his friend slid down the hill with stars in her eyes. She warned him to get out of the way and he jumped up from his spot in the snow. He couldn't help but stifle a laugh as she popped out of the deep snowbank from where her outline had been. He purred and raced up to the top of the hill before she could get out of the bank. He called down to her playfully, "You're fooling yourself, Rosepaw! Everyone knows I'm much better at getting deeper in the bank!" Mischief creeped into his eyes, he was bluffing. He had never sledded before. Lately all the two did was play around with the snow in camp, they never went out. The two of them had hunted before hand though so it wasn't like they were completely useless. Laughing, Glenpaw crouched into his hunting position and leaped quickly onto the hill, keeping low to the ground, he sped down past the she-cat and into the bank. It was so exhilarating. Glenpaw creeped back out of the bank and gleamed at Rosepaw through all the snow that had stuck to his charcoal pelt. "See, I told you." He purred before a big clump of snow fell on top of him from above.

Beneath the snow it was blue, the darkest deepest blue Rosepaw'd ever laid her eyes upon. However the white stuff made the light change colors like that, the young pale ginger femme would probably never know, so she poked her head out of the embankment only to get splashed by the snow coming from Glenpaw's departure down the hill. She couldn't stifle her laughter at all; there was absolutely no restraint.
"Ahahahahaha - Glen - ahahahaha - paw! That - haha - was just - hahahaha - amazing!
" The female cried, her eyes watery from the wintry chill on her now dampened coat. She blinked away the little tears that came from laughing too, and tried clawing her way out of the snow. She looked ridiculous trying to swim her way out, and the she-cat eventually resorted to simply flipping out of the embankment. With her large frame, the landing was anything but graceful. " Oof!" Sniffing a bit as her nose slowly ran, she grinned at the handsome tuxedo boy. What fun! " Well maybe the goal isn't trying to get further in the bank, silly! I'm in it for the butterflies and for the speed, duh!" Was her friendly, joking retort. She stuck her tongue out at the boy for effect before turning around and facing the hill once more. " Race ya to the top, Glen?" She challenged him, bracing her muscles for a clean sprint up the slippery slope. Her pretty smirk to him and the mischief within her silvery blue eyes was enough to make Rosepaw appear to be such a different cat than she had been moons ago. Her confidence and outlook on life had changed, but she remained humbled. There was nothing to be gained by becoming a flirt and falling in love with yourself. The little girl broke the mold in more ways than one, and she was proud to be a CelestialClanner.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

GlenpawAnd I don't want the world to see me, Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's meant to be broken I just want you to know who I am. Glenpaw purred as Rosepaw climbed the small hill again. Her cream fur almost blended directly into the snow verses his dark charcoal pelt that stood out except for his white paws that flew up to catch a snowflake that drifted in front of his face. Flicking his whiskers playfully, Glenpaw watched Rosepaw eagerly. She had become one of his best friends. He was a rough tom to get a long with, but Rosepaw and Crystalpaw helped him out of that. Their warrior ceremony would be elater this evening and he was so excited. Bearclaw had taught him well. But just once, he wanted to have some real fun with Rosepaw before they became warriors. But somehow, Glenpaw felt miserable all the same. Crystalpaw, the she-cat he loved more than a friend, was out hunting with Fatesong, her mentor. The leader, Hallowstar, fancied her. Swiskhing his short-haired, long tail, Glenpaw tried to talk himself into not feeling useless. They had hunted before hand. ”Yeah right Rosie, but it's much more fun!" he called, but his voice faltered. He would guess the lovely she-cat could tell that something was troubling him-she knew him too well. Another thing bothering him was the lack of Crystalpaw's precense. He missed her warmth. They were only apprentices, but was it possible for apprentices to produce so much love for another? He found that Crystalpaw was the strength that he was known for-the fire in his heart. Couldn't she see it too? Or was he thinking too much on the subject? A fresh fall of snow began to fall into CelestialClan territory. He looked up through the trees at the wonderful snowflakes that fell onto his head, filling his thoughts of Crystal's eyes and a warm pelt surging into his cold body.

Her friend's entire demeanor seemed to change, and he didn't even rise to her challenge. Something was definitely wrong, and Rosepaw sensed it immediately. Turning around halfway up the small peak, she frowned at the charcoal tom before allowing herself to slide gently down the hill. "Glen, is everything alright?
" She asked, stepping closer and tilting her head to peer closely at him. His attention wasn't on her, or anything around him, and the young female shook her head from side to side before lightly headbutting him. " C'mon! You can tell me what's up!" Even though I already know. The she-cat added silently, biting the inside of her cheek worriedly. The way he looked at Crystalpaw, the way he was always a warmer creature when he was near her, Glenpaw had it bad, and Rosepaw didn't really know what to do. Glenpaw was her closest friend, and she didn't really think of him in any other way. Sure, she found him to be an attractive tom, but she felt as if she was too young for that kind of thing and dispelled any sorts of thoughts that seemed to lean off that way. " Oh, stop looking so glum! Tell me what's up with you and Crystalpaw already, okay?" Rosie chimed, rolling her eyes a bit for an exaggerated gesture before giggling, and half-smiling at him mischievously.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
