[/color][/font][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]The sky was an eerie loach of pink. The sun was just beginning to rise into the cloudy grey sky. Leaf-bare had long descended upon the clans of the forest- forcing many of their main prey into hibernation; where the four legged felines certainly could not reach them. Small snow drifts hung on the edge of every camp and enclosure, some buried beneath thick brambles, or thin thickets. The remaining leaves on the now-barren trees wafted in the wind, the last few giving way at last. A brightly colored pumpkin-bright leaf floated down gently. Emerald green eyes watched it from the bushed hungrily.
Eyes lapping hungrily at the 'prey,' the eyes flickered with excitement, as a figure shot out of the bushes. Fur puffed out, a TempestClan warrior shot out of the thicket. The leaf was on the edge of the Earth, when a swift brown paw hooked below it, swiping it up and away. Razor sharp claws sunk into the thin, flimsy dried material. They penetrated the hard tissue, followed by a crunching sound. The warrior stood up proudly. The female feline flicked her tail. She hadn't been able to hunt a leaf in a long time.
As quickly as it had come, however, the smug smile parted from her maw. What are you doing? You're a warrior now- and warriors certainly do not hunt leaves. She scolded herself, wrapping her tail around her paws neatly. She licked her lips- she was kind of hungry. Perhaps she could hunt, and then eat. Of course, she would have to bring back prey for the clan, too. If she found any, that was. After all, it was leaf bare, and prey was scarce.
