NAME// Wingedpaw AGE// 6 moons GENDER// she-cat CLAN// Tempestclan DESIRED POSITION// apprentice SHORT DESCRIPTION// A spirited tawny golden she-cat with pale green eyes.
PERSONALITY// Wingedpaw was named such for a good reason, it fits her perfectly. She was the first of her small litter to wake up, despite being the youngest, and climbed out of the nest soon after. Her adventurous spirit has always been hard to deny. Wingedpaw is one of those inquisitive sorts that you simply cannot get out from under your paws. She's very questioning and doesn't hesitate to demand the how, why, and who. Those three words are very important in her book. How does something happen, why should or shouldn't it, or who is it happening to? She can seem quite self-absorbed at times, always demanding things of others and keeping the attention firmly on herself, but it isn't entirely a conscious effort of hers to remain in the spotlight. Wingedpaw's incredibly skeptical and she'll be the first to point out flaws. She's quite straightforward, at all times. She believes in telling the honest truth, one that can be rather brutal and gets her in trouble on occasion. Things happen because they happen and she'll set you straight about them without any further a-do. Beating around the bush is something she never does, and this belies the incredible imagination that occupies her small head. She has an analytical mind and loves to think through problems and be the one to come up with the solution. Wingedpaw's the teacher's pet; she strives to be the best in everything and simply cannot wait now that she's an apprentice and she'll have a mentor ensuring that she's going to be the best she can possibly be. She has no allusions that she'll be absolutely perfect, Wingedpaw's too realistic for that, but she's very ambitious and hopes one day to serve her clan in every way she can, and it'd be especially nice if those ways included being deputy or even leader. For this reason, she looks up to those with authority and is only slightly less likely to question them to their face. Most other cats don't have this blessed privilege and are likely to find themselves on the less desirable side of her characteristic interrogations. Despite being so forward about, well, everything, Wingedpaw does understand respect and she knows she must earn it. While it's undeniable that she's rather vain, Wingedpaw's going to do her best to win others over, before the need to understand kicks in. She's an excellent friend, one that'll always give the truth when needed, and is loyal to a fault. There are few cats who value relationships as highly as Wingedpaw, for in some ways, she's very introspective and understands that she sometimes lacks the empathy that other cats seem to embody, and has a subtle and underlying desire to surround herself with this sympathy, in hopes that one day, she'll be able to understand it as well. EXPERIENCE// Wingedpaw was born to a shy mother, who was very loving and protective of her litter. Her mother, Lilystep, was a compassionate creature who never had quite enough attention. Her mate, Lightburst, could not give this that she so desperately required. He was much too busy letting his ambitious and stuborn ways rub off on his easily-manipulated kits. Wingedkit was the last in a litter of three, with two older brothers. She grew up learning how to be tough and how to stand up to two larger males who thought they'd inherited their father's ways. Wingedkit turned out to be the one most like her father. Devastatingly practical and witty, Wingedkit outdid her siblings in many ways, despite the fact that physically, they left her behind. She was her mother's favorite however, and Lilystep unashamedly doted on the lone she-cat of her litter, allowing Wingedkit's pride to grow substantially. It wasn't entirely Wingedkit's own deed that planted her ambition in her mind, her intense desire to do the best. Her competitive ways weren't entirely instilled by her father, but by a jealous mother who couldn't stand the differences anymore. Wingedpaw graduated into apprenticehood with two brothers who were so much stronger, a father who'd never noticed her, and a mother who whispered encouraging lies into her ears. Wingedpaw didn't quite understand the baggage that comes with her life now, and she probably won't, not until someone unveils the truth of why she's so incredibly independent of sensitivity and everyone else's opinions. OTHER// not that I can think of. =) [/blockquote]
