PERSONALITY//---Squirrelgaze is quiet and shy, preferring to simply do as she’s told whether it be to do another patrol even if she’s just got back from one, or to hunt even if she’s just brought back a large amount of prey. Generally Squirrelgaze shy’s away from other cats, preferring to be on her own most of the time then with other cats. Most cats would consider gullible and possibly take advantage of this, asking her to hunt so they wouldn’t have to, or help the elders if the apprentices were busy. Which, she would do without a second thought unless there was something else she had to take care of first. Some cats consider her weak, and cowardly and ignore her, but that’s not true. Squirrelgaze actually possess a very brave, loyal, and caring heart. Though its hidden by her constant and overbearing shyness, she is truly a kind and loving cat. She is constantly running around, whether it be to volunteer for a patrol or to go hunting, trying to make herself useful until she’s ready to collapse. On the inside, Squirregaze truly wants to be more open to other cats, she truly just wants to make friends and find someone to love her, shyness and all.
EXPERIENCE//---Squirrelgaze grew up with a single sibling, a brother who went by the name of Thornkit. They did everything together, slept together, ate together, played together, made trouble together. Six moons later the two siblings were made apprentices, Thornpaw, and Squirrelpaw. Squirrelpaw was assigned a mentor by the name of Silvertail, a tall and lean silver tom-cat who was surprisingly kind and patient though he was always very firm when they trained, coaxing Squirrelpaw to try again until she got it right. Thornpaw on the other hand got a very strict and harsh mentor by the name of Bearpelt. He was a burly and muscular tom who would growl and lash at Thornpaw whenever he made a mistake, forcing him to continue the same move until he got it perfect in his mentors eyes. Everyday Thornpaw would come home to exhausted to play with Squirrelpaw and this tore at the young apprentices heart. One leaf-bare Thornpaw came down with a cough, Bearpelt waved it off and still made Thornpaw go out to train. When he came back he looked terrible, he collapsed in the middle of camp and Squirrelpaw and Silvertail helped bring him to the medicine cat’s den where she was told he had Greencough and Bearpelts hard training had only succeeded in making things worse for the apprentices, a few days later Thornpaw died. Breaking the young cats heart in two, Petalheart, their mother, was devastated took to clinging to Squirrelpaw, making it almost impossible for her to train with Silvertail except when the old warrior managed to pry Squirrelpaw away from her desperate mother. Petalheart was constantly telling Squirrelpaw things, giving her ‘Advice’. “ You must always remain useful to the clan, dear.” Or, “ You have to do better than that, don’t bother making friends they’ll only weigh you down. ” Her advice was terrible but Squirrelpaw listened to it, this was her mother, what else was she supposed to do? Barkfoot her father tried to get Squirrelpaw away from her mother, he had overheard some of the advice Petalheart was giving her, he succeeded but Squirrelpaw had already taken the advice to heart. Soon she was made a warrior, after a particularly harsh border fight. She was given the name Squirrelgaze, after her pretty eyes.
