Her nose was trailing the scent of a small mammal. Her mouth softly watered at the scent of food. She could practically hear the blood pulsing through the little creature as she stalked it. Her eyes narrowed in on her target, claws unsheathing. She love the feeling of her long, unrestrained claws sliding out of her paws, poking holes in the earth. Her upper lip curled softly as her pale emerald eyes locked onto the creature. With her rear elevated, the cat silently crept up behind the calm creature. It busied itself with scuttling around, searching for food, not knowing that it was soon going to be the food. The cat's muscles tensed as she prepared her leap. Bunching her muscles, Eclipseomen launched herself at the small figure and she swiftly bit down on its neck, killing it with ease.
Since she didn't belong to a clan, she could eat her kills immediately. That's one thing she loved, the freedom, nobody to tell her what to do, nobody to force her to feed the old cats. Ugh, those pointless old do-nothings shouldn't have first choice of the best pieces of food. The tough warriors and growing apprentices did. As she thought, she quickly tore into the vole. Her sharp, pointed teeth ripped at the small animal's delicate flesh and tissues, pulling it apart easily before chewing barely and swallowing. Within moments, all that was left was a small pile of bones and some splotches of blood. Licking her maw, Eclipseomen yawned a tad before retreating into the bushes, once again. Her long tail followed her, swaying as she silently stepped. Much like the shadows themselves, the cat moved about without a sound. She stretched and blinked sleep out of her eyes. She drew her tongue over her fore paw and calmly dragged it across her ear, trying to clean herself off a bit. Her glossy fur blended in perfectly with the shade, but Eclipseomen wanted a bit of sun.
She slowly sauntered along the forest before she found a small, sunny spot. Stretching, the cat laid down underneath the rays of sunlight. Finally, she could relax. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her two front paws. Her tail limply fell beside her, and her body soaked up the warmth of greenleaf. The only indication of life was the quiet and miniscule breathing and the occasional twitch of the tip of her tail or a set of whiskers. With a deep breath, Eclipseomen felt herself relax even more. She felt the tension in her muscles release, and her belly was filled, if only for a bit. Satisfied, the cat closed her beautiful eyes and lazily ran a light pink tongue across her muzzle, savoring the last taste of vole.

ECHER His fur was warm, pulsing with the sun's relentless summer heat that continued to pound the earth amid the thick haze that the humidity had created. Despite it's pallid hue and near lack of color altogether, his subconscious had thrown him into a pit of fire, where he cried out and thrashed, as though swimming. While he, in reality, had never touched real fire, the feline felt as though he was drowning. Even in the waking world he emitted soft gasps, illustrating his dream-world struggle. The sky above was a shocking cerulean, beautiful to the eyes, but the pool of flame that engulfed him was darkly hellish, soaking him rather than burning him. Allowing him to struggle and writhe. He couldn't swim, but he managed to stay afloat. Just. While his suffering seemed to climax, his eyes flew open. The dream fizzled away, blackening, and then lightening into the dazzling afternoon. However, the irritating sensation that prickled beneath his fur, aching and burning all at once persisted.
Echer released a sigh that seemed close to something like embarrassment. Still, as long as no one realized his struggles he would hardly have anything to explain, therefore nothing to be ashamed of. Still, his thick white coat wasn't like that of other pale cats! He couldn't quite place his paw on the reason, but he looked different. Even with his crimson gaze put aside, there was something odd about his appearance, and since he had never encountered another cat to face issues like these, he liked to blame his strange coloration for them. Sunburn. That's what someone had told him it was, once. They had warned him to be careful when exposing himself to the sun, and he took that warning to heart. However, a cat simply couldn't help the tantalizing thought of sunbathing! And when said cat fell asleep whilst indulging this craving, well; that's where the embarrassment emerged. Releasing another wary sigh, Echer crept sorely into a cool patch of shade, where the clearing made way into thick forest.
Drowsiness still clung to his actions, making his paws drag and his whiskers droop, and while the idea of experiencing another nightmare was off-putting, the brawny albino didn't give a second thought before drifting off once more into a lazy slumber. After all, what else was there to do in the day? Echer was lonely, but scared to seek out company. Dreamless sleep was rare, but when it did come he could never get enough. Unfortunately, a soft noise jolted him from slumber before he could slip far into his subconscious. With an unsettled grunt, the alabaster tom peered about, his vermilion eyes squinting into the clearing he had left only moments ago; and they suddenly grew wide as the moon. Hauntingly red little moons, of course, but enormous nonetheless.
A cat! An able, swarthy, female cat all the same. How long had she been there? She looked to be asleep. How long had he himself been napping? Far longer than he had first thought. At least he was downwind, concealed still. Echer assumed she wouldn't be hostile, as those type of cats weren't too common in these parts, and he could hold his own against her anyway if it came to that, but he liked to have the element of surprise eliminated. Should he wake her up? The tom decided there probably was a proper way to go about this meeting, but since he wasn't aware of what it was, he could only disregard it and make his own strategy up. Hm. He could avoid it altogether, but even just thinking that made his heart ache. Her dark pelt reminded him of Brother, almost, and he was just so lonely all the time! A little feline interaction would most certainly cheer his solitary heart. The albino made his way to the edge of the clearing, still painstakingly aware of the blight he would face should he step into the sun, and minded his paws to stay where the earth was still dark and damp from the morning.
"G'day, lass." He meowed softly, keeping his gaze low, so as to keep her unalarmed. How awfully rude, to wake her up like this! Part of him snapped, but his socialite side remained victorious, as he stood at attention in the shadows. the city lights are bright enough to blind me TEMPLATE BY BROOKE |

Letting out a deep sigh, Eclipseomen felt her eyes droop closed. Within moments, her breathing was evened out, slow and deep. Her mind decided to play tricks on her. She opened her eyes to a new scene. She wasn't sunbathing in a small clearing, she was sitting atop a patch of grass, surrounded by feral animals. Well, she was a feral animal, so to speak, however, these were wolves, dogs, hawks, and other animals who could kill the smaller cat, though, not without difficulty. Bristling, the she-cat felt her fur fluff up, in order to look more intimidating. The large hounds circled her, snarling and barking stupidly.
Shaking her head, she hissed and bared her teeth as one came too close. A long set of claws lashed out, cutting the dog on the nose. She let out a sharp snarl as the imaginary dog yelped and whimpered. The lithe form sheathed and unsheathed her claws as the dogs and animals came too close. Her paws became blood soaked. As the hawk swooped down, Eclipseomen leaped up and snarled with satisfaction as her claws raked down the underside of the flying abomination. As the cat landed on all fours, the bird plummeted to the ground, dead. Half-way through clawing at a wolf, Eclipseomen felt herself jolt awake.
Though it was abruptly drawn from the dreamworld, her body did not jump. The cat was startled, but she didn't convey it through her body language or her eyes. the sleek feline simply raised her head and blinked her eyes open, only to come face to face with a stranger. Hissing, the cat glared and stood up. She let her pale malachite orbs narrow as her gaze locked onto the tom beside her.
Her claws quickly unsheathed, boring into the soft, malleable earth. They poked holes into the soil as the cat bristled and lashed her tail. "Who are you?" She growled, her voice low, yet feminine. Hadn't this cat heard of her? She was Eclipseomen, the most feared cat in the forest. This.... thing was creeping up to her and startling her. Could he get any stupider? The she-cat blinked once before turning on the pads of her hind paws and stalking off, tail swishing behind her.

ECHER It was an awful feeling, that of being the violator. A feeling he wasn't used to, but wasn't an altogether new experience. Still, the uncomfortable position of intruding on a stranger's peaceful solitary rest was irritating to Echer and while he fought the urge to turn and run now before this female became too unsettled by his presence, he reasoned with himself. Well now it would just be plain rude to run off! You've already gone and woke her up anyway. The tom bobbed his head subtly, agreeing with his conscience strongly. Anything to convince himself to stay, and keep her company. He felt almost as though he needed it, and, while some cats preferred company far less than others, he liked to pretend for a moment that she would be as happy to converse with him as he would be with her.
Frowning, the tom moved forward in a mouse-like manner; hesitant. Ever-aware of the tinge of sunburn beneath his thick white fur, the loner peered into the sunlit clearing with narrowed crimson eyes whilst the ebony female stirred all at once. Her head rose from her paws like she was royalty, descended from kings and queens who would never grace a freak like himself with their presence. The tom wasn't sure how to take her cool reaction, but interpreted it as a good sign. At least she hadn't bolted! It wasn't as though that had never happened.
Echer was transfixed by her lovely pale green eyes; however coldly they stared back at him, he managed to cast her a wary smile. That is, until she hissed in his general direction. A frown instantly darkened the rogue's easy, open features when he took a step back, and she threw her accusatory question. Who am I? Is that really so relevant? "Oh um, my name's- Hey!" He halted mid-sentence and called after her- she hadn't even waited for an answer! Obviously she wasn't the forest's most friendly cat to offer, but he felt obligated to chase her anyway. The big albino tomcat sighed when he picked up and trotted after her, making a soft inquiring noise as he went. She had disappeared swiftly, but her heavy, feminine scent was easy to follow, and he quickly caught up and matched her graceful, shadow-like gait.
"Now there's really no reason t'be like that miss! My name's Echer, anyway. If you were still curious." Echer added with something of a nervous laugh, glancing sidelong at this stranger. One could never be sure on how to treat a new acquaintance, and he himself was certainly no judge on social behavior but he thought he was handling the odd situation quite well - for having never done it before. "Would you be so kind to tell me your name? At least I wouldn't have to keep calling you 'miss'." He grinned, flicking his feathery tail in a friendly way. the city lights are bright enough to blind me TEMPLATE BY BROOKE |

Her fur continued to bristle as she padded away, yet she could still feel his gaze on her pelt. Her ear twitched, but she refused to respond to the loner's call. Rather than swishing, her tail stilled, raised high as though she were better than anybody else. Though each paw was carefully placed before the other, Eclipseomen proceeded at a relatively quick pace. As the scent of male drew nearer, she felt her pale eyes narrow, yet again.
Her eyes matched both of her brothers'. Voidstar's were a vivid green-color, and Shard's were a bright amber. Hers were both, pale green in the center, branching out to become a soft yellowy-amber. Her petite black nose was held in the air and her mouth slightly parted open to scent it. Her thoughts were jarred as the tom arrived, rather abruptly, and said his name. She couldn't have cared less, in all honesty. This one was quite the cat, indeed. Very persistent, yes, but very infuriating. As he questioned her name her upper lip curled and her whole body stopped. Halting, she huffed at whirled around to see the stranger, a move so quick, that any regular cat should have gotten whiplash. "No, no. Miss is quite fine." She sneered, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Her voice, however cold and hostile, was a light and beautiful melody that resonated through the forest. Well, rather, it resonated through the five foot radius that the pair encompassed.
Her tail, in response to his friendly flick, twitched in a hostile gesture. Sighing, she decided to tell him. "If you must know, my name is Eclipseomen." She growled with the same harsh tone, yet with the same calming voice. Surely he had heard of her, right? She was the terror in the woods that wreaked havoc on the clans. Surely, definitely, he had heard of her. It was nearly impossible not to have. She was often talked about by loners, rogues, clan members, and even some stupid kittypets had heard of her. She was a well-known figure. Her lithe form was feared by most, if not, all cats. Well, except for her family. However, they couldn't count. After all, they all came from the same womb. Sniffing, the she-cat whirled back around and stalked forward. Sighting a mouse, she slipped into a crouch.

ECHER A bright feeling of victory washed over him, as he sensed this female was about to give into his persistence. Of course! It always paid off, or - almost always. In this case, it seemed, it would. Perhaps this obsidian female needed nothing but a little attention. Echer speculated that was it, for surely traveling alone like she was she was rather lonely as well. His vividly hued gaze widened quite happily as she suddenly stopped short, her frame rigid, and she whipped around to cast him a look that might've startled him, if Echer hadn't been so desperate for feline companionship. So, while he made note of her blatant hostility, the white tom was not about to back down, and he simply shot her a bemused grin when she snapped at him, finally breaking down and responding.
"Nocat would wanna be called miss forever, although I'll keep calling you that if you really like." He chuckled, his good nature shining through as he playfully added, "miss." To the end of that statement. Still, he couldn't help the slightly shocked expression that overcame his handsome pallid features when she revealed her name to him. Eclipseomen! Of course he had heard of this female, in all of his moons of traveling there had been many rumors and tales of this female and her monstrous kin, Shard. Echer almost laughed at the impossibility of it all, but instead shrugged coolly.
"Oddly enough, I think I've heard that name whispering through these woods before." You're just a pretty black female! Not a legend at all! The big ivory tomcat wanted to crow at this green-eyed beauty, but smothered the urge with an innocent shrug. "Anyway, take a load off would you? I'm a pretty friendly guy. Honest! There's no need to be so hostile. Anyway, where are you headed to?" He meowed, letting his tone drop in volume when he sighted the mouse she had rested her attention upon. Echer held his graceful frame still and patiently awaited the kill.

Her ears were slightly pricked, as if she was waiting for something, but she wasn't. They were pricked from her annoyance. Her pearly whites glimmered in the light, but as strong and shiny as they were, they were tools of disaster. Her ebony tail lashed as his voice resonated in her ears. The she-cat sighed in frustration. As he spoke, she bit back a sharp retort, knowing that this cat was simply too stupid to give up.
The deep set frown, seemingly ingrained on her beautiful face slowly melted into a frighteningly dark smirk. Her eyes flashed with satisfaction as a quick look of surprised flashed over the tom's face. Her head tilted up a tad, raised to show her superiority. Scoffing at his nonchalant behavior, she sighed and smirked yet again. "Oh? What did they say about me?" She practically purred her inquisitions. Her tail waved softly as her ears pricked, this time out of interest. Not bothering for a reply, she found herself crouching, facing a mouse.
Stalking forward ever so slowly, the obsidian beauty felt her left ear flicker towards him as he proceeded to speak. The slightest sound made the mouse freeze, the she-cat with it. A snarl appeared on her face as she wildly leaped at the mouse and caught it between her forepaws. Biting it at the neck, she straightened herself up and left her kill beside her. "You almost cost me that mouse." She accused, venom dripping from her voice. With one paw forward, she staggered her step so that she was more stable. Her tail lashed and her beautiful, pale green eyes were narrowed to slits. Curling her lips back into a snarl that marred her pretty face, Eclipseomen thoroughly ignored his little proposal of "taking a load off". She didn't even understand what that meant, but she was sure that it meant to relax. That was one thing that she simply wasn't able to do, at least not with him near her.
