I don't know why I'm doing the trendy 'advice thread' thing, maybe I just felt like typing this up in a rambly dambly post. :D
SO here it is:
There's this guy. You can assume his name is Sam. (Because it is.) He isn't like others guys I've met; not in the way that he's sweet and normal and etc etc. Actually, he's the weirdest guy I've ever met, possibly the only guy I've ever met as weird as I am. He wears a necklace with a Jewish symbol on it, a black trench coat, and while acting, black eyeliner. He likes macbeth, old music, and just the other day he asked me if I wanted to join him in his "rituals" before the show. He's also said that "I'm too young for him" which I'm sure shows a lot of character, but as we get to know each other better that no longer seems to matter much to either of us. Problem number one. Sam is a highschooler, but this is his last year, his birthday is early, and he's NOT a minor. I AM a minor, and this is my first year. Which means he could get into a lot of trouble if we dated. (Which doesn't mean what you think it does; if my mom or his mom found out we were dating and even THOUGHT we had, well, you get the idea, she could call the cops on him anyway.)
But this isn't like the whole 'We've known each other a week and have decided to risk the law to try dating' senior-freshman love garbage. Actually, I met Sam two years ago. He asked for my number then too, but that made me feel even stupider, because of the age difference. I also saw him multiple times last year, but we never really got to know each other until I joined Musical Theater, and we started acting together. You should understand that I don't expect dating a guy on his last year of high school is going to mean we fall in love, get married, have kids, blah blah blah, silly crazy stuff, or even that we continue dating after he graduates. I'm not expecting great things from our relationship, and surely he can't be expecting things like that either, he's not stupid. So, I don't feel selfish for wanting to experiment with dating this guy. But also, I don't want him to get silver bracelets for a serious offense.
...I'd love to babble on more and more about Sam as those with guys on their thoughts like to do, but yeah, I'll stop now. Any creative ideas I hadn't thought of? Or just, 'Girl, don't risk sending this guy to jail, you numb skull.'
