ECHER It wasn't fear that coursed through his enormous frame, but perhaps anxiety in its purest form. In fact, he couldn't quite pinpoint any other single emotion within his mind, for the red-hot onslaught of anxiety seems to stain every one of his thoughts. Still, he wasn't afraid. He wanted this, and he wanted this badly. It seemed as though he had done enough research on the clans to know which was which, and perhaps the information was outdated from passing loners and wayward rogues, but nevertheless Echer assumed that the lines relayed to his curious inquiries were as close to accurate as he could hope for. And now, as he felt the looming presence of cats encroaching upon his senses, Echer froze.
His brawny frame was rigid, his muscles tight as he could practically see the scent marker in front of him, for he could certainly smell it. It was a musky odor, not unkind to his nose except for how overpowering it seemed to be here, otherwise it was something he could learn to deal with, assuming he wouldn't be attacked on sight here. CelestialClan was the one clan he had decided would be most beneficial for him to have a part in, for while ZephyrClan seemed to be a mostly merciful clan, they were streamlined and little, living with utmost agility. Echer, of course, could never survive that way. VertigoClan seemed most accurate for his built, but their territory was harsh and he heard they became quickly too aggressive. TempestClan was out of the question, and that left this clan. A clan of proud and lovely felines, where perhaps he could make a new life for himself. The big albino sighed, knowing his bloodred gaze was likely to keep many from trusting him, but if they could only understand he had no say in his eye pigmentation maybe they would understand!
Inhaling sharply, he lifted a forepaw and hesitated, then placed it over the border. Quickly, the loner looked around, as if this move would trigger a myriad of alarms and all of CelestialClan's warriors would leap out at once, claws bared. No one appeared. Ever cautious, the big alabaster tom crept forward, one step at a time. His paws felt unnaturally heavy, as though every footfall brought tremors of the most disturbing earthquake and this only heightened his anxiety. Who would find him? When? What would they say? He wouldn't fight anyone he found here, he knew that for sure. The odor of cats was overpowering, more than he had ever encountered at once, and he winced away.
Perhaps he ought to stay stationary and wait for someone to come to him instead of seeking them out. With this resolute thought, Echer found himself a mossy patch and curled up. He rested his head on his paws and allowed his scarlet gaze to drift about restlessly. Waiting. the city lights are bright enough to blind me TEMPLATE BY BROOKE |

°°Hallowstar The leaves danced around the graceful paws that trod through the breezy day. Blades of grass were fresh and green, blowing in the wind. The scents wafted through the filtered air and into the mouth of the beholder who was enjoying a hunting patrol by himself. It was one of the very things he liked to do on days like this. His Clan needed prey and he was very much enjoying just being out by himself-alone. The great Siamese cat wandered out of the ferns feeling satisfaction with the prey he left behind buried in the dirt. His mouth opened slightly before breaking into a yawn. Hunting was good for the CelestialClan leader, Hallowstar. Walking carefully and silently around, the air was blowing towards him, sending ripples into his clean fur. Suddenly, he scented a different scent. He inhaled the tainted air and realized he hadn't an idea of who this stranger was. Flexing his muscles, Hallowstar bent down and began creeping to listen to see if the stranger had moved. It hadn't. The scent was the same as it was. Hallowstar stood and padded his way through the ferns, coming close to the scent he was taking in. Peering out, he noted a rather large white tom. The tom, in fact, looked a bit different than most white cats did. How odd. The tom was curled up asleep on CelestialClan's territory. Rather than being angered by this, Hallowstar felt some odd connection to the tom. Perhaps it was just a thought that this cat was new, a new face, a new body, just new and Hallowstar hadn't seen anyone new for a while now. Or maybe the fact was that this was the first cat Hallowstar would encounter as a leader and he would have to put the best of his clan into consideration. Hallowstar didn't come any closer from his distance between the tom and himself, but instead cleared his throat, "Can I help you?" he said it in such a mild hostility that it was barely there. He didn't want to be entirely rude to this cat, but all the same, he had to put his Clan before his own thoughts. This cat may be important for CelestialClan. Just maybe.

ECHER It felt as thought eternities had risen and peeled away, seeping from beneath his skin into the atmosphere, and the blackness that dimmed the milky, filtered afternoon sunshine was a disease slowly consuming him. Blindness overtook his anxiety and lifted the enormous tomcat up and away from his body into the patches of fluffy white clouds above, and from this view he could see the slate-stained ocean in the distance, a coming storm, perhaps. His unconscious mind couldn't deduce this from the wet breeze blowing his way and ruffling his downy fur so he brushed off the faraway weather and instead peered down upon himself, surprised slightly by the oddity of this dream. At least, he assumed it was a dream, as never before had he encountered a feeling of flight such as this. Not only that, but leagues below him he could see the bulky white frame of his body marring the leafy landscape like the alien that he was.
Suddenly, he felt the presence of another too close for comfort, and all of the rush of unwelcome emotions shot once more into the front of his mind with a jolt that woke him suddenly. He collapsed back to earth and his vermilion gaze flew open, his expression openly shocked when he found the wind had switched around so that it was he that was now upwind from the vast expanse of CelestialClan territory and the little mistral that did caress his scent glands was full of rain-smell and thick, heavy storm air. A shiver drifted promptly up his spine before the albino remembered the feeling that woke him in the first place, and looked about him hastily.
An audible gasp erupted from his open maw when the lean form of another tom smudged across his vision, appearing with a practiced grace from the foliage. Can I help you? His voice was cold -- it caused another ripple of shivering to shock Echer's body. He hesitated, taking in the stranger's handsome medium-long coat of blended cream and chocolate that created a mysterious mask from which two dazzling sapphire eyes peered out inquiringly. Rather self-conscious of his own haunting gaze in comparison to this fellows', the loner studied the white paws below his nose that nervously grappled the loamy earth as he shuffled into a sitting position.
"It depends who you are, I guess. Sir," He added in a voice soft but curious, when he finally picked up the nerve to meet this stranger face-to-face. Echer realized in an instant that this fellow couldn't be but a few seasons older than himself, and that fused some confidence into his next words.
"I'm here for the leader of CelestialClan. Assuming I'm in the right territory and all," He purred, easing into the company of another -- something that could be quite rare in his life as a loner. Cats took getting used to, but the initial intimidation Echer felt was long passed, and his usual sociable self emerged from a cocoon of anxiety.
"I've got this silly idea in my head that I could end up allying myself with that clan. I dont know if that's possible or if they'd want me but-" Finding himself rambling on, to a nameless stranger nonetheless, Echer caught himself and let his voice trail away. the city lights are bright enough to blind me TEMPLATE BY BROOKE |

˚˚Hallowstar Already intrigued by the stranger, Hallowstar let the white tom answer his question. He wasn't hostile and he definitely wasn't a smart mouth. The albino looked almost like a ghost, the leader noted. But nothing about him was ghostly. Interesting. He apparently wanted to join CelestialClan as he said. Hallowstar actually took a liking to the tom already, but he had to put his Clan before his decisions, but he'd talk to him out here first, take him in, see how he gets along, and then put the decision to the final test. "Fear not, this is definitely the right territory of CelestialClan. My name is Hallowstar and I am the leader of CelestialClan. Tell me, why do you wish to join CelestialClan?" Hallowstar tried to sound strong and proud without being too hostile. He was genuinely curious to this new cat. His Siamese stance was a bit bigger than the white tom's and he noticed something that he hadn't before. He was lithe for his average size. Plus, Hallowstar didn't even know his name. Pawing from side to side on his handsome brown paws, Hallowstar sat down in front of his companion and looked at him with his icy ocean eyes. "What's your name, friend?" he added over the awkward silence he left behind. Some leader I am. I don't even know how to handle a stranger on our land. I wish I had some advice from someone, but hopefully this tom won't be a big deal. Or a big issue. Hallowstar licked his nose awaiting the albion's response.

ECHER His nerves sang, crying out in desperation through the pounding of blood in his rather transparent ears and the ragged breath that tumbled from his slightly parted jaws. The air itself was heavy with the storm he had foreseen in his light slumber, and the tom found himself struggling to draw it in evenly as Hallowstar introduced himself as the very cat Echer had been questing for. The loner nearly gasped in apprehension, but caught his composure in time to look coolly away from the other tom's even sapphire gaze, taking advantage of the rain of silence that quickly collected around them to organize this frayed thoughts and cool his excited emotions.
At last, Echer felt as though he could once more carry on coherent conversation, he looked back to Hallowstar and let a small grin paint his handsome features, dipping his head respectfully.
"Well I wasn't quite expecting that. I guess I assumed clan leaders sort of just sat in camp and let their harem of warriors roam their territory and protect them and whatnot." He purred, deciding at once that continuing to be easygoing and casual with this fellow would probably be the best strategy to get him into the clan.
"I.." Echer murmured, casting his gaze downwards when met with Hallowstar's question. "It's hard to put into words, I guess. I suppose that, having grown up in an environment like what I believe the clan to be, you won't understand much. But I've seen and heard and experienced things that would make another cat with a much more closed mind end his own life, I'm sure. I, however, take pride in my ability to, well, suck it up. I guess. Still, it's just really hard sometimes to go through life completely alone. My family is not available to support me, and my own company is something I've grown tired of." Echer meowed firmly, meeting the other tom's eyes as he spoke, his own deep voice convinced even himself of his truest intentions.
"I think I belong somewhere, you know? Or maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into belonging somewhere. Nevertheless, I'm a reasonable fellow, I think, and I can learn to become a useful asset to a clan perhaps. My intentions are honest, Hallowstar. Oh and you can call me Echer if you'll please." Suddenly washed out by his spiel, the loner released a long breath and once more cast his garnet gaze downward, toward the decaying earth beneath his paws.
"And a storm is coming, I believe." He hadded, inhaling the thick, wet air.

°°Hallowstar Purring, Hallowstar engaged in the cat's company. This white little loner was friendly indeed, but rather naive. He thought the leaders sat in their camp all day? Thinking that the leaders were the most frightened cats in the camp-reduced to believing that their warriors were the only ones that could protect them? Of course not. What good would a leader do if he didn't lead and earn his respect by his beloved clanmates? Nothing of the sort was what Hallowstar imagined for the life of a leader, but this loner didn't know any better. Still, it was an odd thought. "Of course the leaders walk out and about. It just so happens that I decided this was a great day to step out into my territory. And you know what? I was right. I met you." Hallowstar casually spoke to the albino tom as if he were an old friend. And that's exactly the sort of feeling the great Siamese had with him. The new stranger felt like a friend from long ago or maybe even a friend from another time. Whatever the case was, Hallowstar felt like himself around this tom. Perhaps he would be a great addition to the clan and perhaps they would be great friends. He let the tom continue however. He went on about how 'Hallowstar wouldn't understand' where he had come from and why he thought the way he did and other things of that nature. Hallowstar was attentively paying attention. Apparently this tom had gone through a lot in his life-enough to make him wonder what more there is. Hallowstar tried to put himself in the albino's experiences and imagined living life alone. It would be awful and devastating. He's been so used to living amongst his clan mates and learning from them every day, but to live on his own, to make his own decisions, the idea was frightfully sensitive in his mind. Catching the red eyes of the snow white tom, Hallowstar admitted to himself that he must learn to think differently to become a better leader for his Clan. "I think I belong somewhere, you know? Or maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into belonging somewhere. Nevertheless, I'm a reasonable fellow, I think, and I can learn to become a useful asset to a clan perhaps. My intentions are honest, Hallowstar. Oh and you can call me Echer if you'll please." As Echer finished, Hallowstar began liking the tom even more. Reasonable he was and so his trust was increasing. The phrase 'I think I belong somewhere, you know?' struck him hard for the Siamese. It was a phrase Hallowstar himself followed by when he was Hallowkit and Hallowpaw. It was the same tone that Echer had that let Hallowstar believe in himself. "I understand the feeling of belonging and wanting to be a part of something for the bigger picture," Hallowstar breathed out, much more relaxed than he'd been in a while. Echer finished speaking by saying there was a storm coming. Hallowstar bunched up his Siamese fur and looked to the sky to notice dark, looming clouds forming overtop. He flattened his ears as a small droplet of water hit him on his head. Twitching his whiskers in discomfort, Hallowstar turned his attention back towards Echer once more. He hated the cold weather of rain and snow, but oddly enough, he loved swimming. Hallowstar blinked back to focus on Echer and cleared his throat one more time, "Please, Echer, I'd like to invite you into CelestialClan's camp to stay for a while. If you decide to stay forever, tell me and we'll get you situated. Test the walls of our camp and learn from us, I'd be proud to call you a CelestialClan cat. You'll earn your position in the clan if you remain loyal to the clan you call home." Hallowstar said with a more dignified remark. Although, he let his gaze soften and flicked his tail towards the back end of the territory, "Come, I believe you're right. A storm is on its way," he said as a droplet of water splashed on his nose. >>>>>> i never saw what was coming at me. i didn't hear what was said.<<<<<<
