I know some of you might not care and I know Dawn and Minty have seen this video, but last night at the Indiana State Fair, the stage collapsed. We had a horrible storm with winds ranging up to 70 mph. I'm really shaky right now and sort of fragile. At my house, I live about 30 minutes away, the sky was dark and the winds were rattling my house, but my cousin, her boyfriend, her son, and her boyfriend's son were at the Fairgrounds. Ethan, one of the sons, was on a ride and they were waiting him to get off.
Suddenly, my cousin {Amanda} said that the sky became pitch black and that you couldn't see anything because it was so dark and the sand and dirt was being blown up in everyone's faces. Then she said all she heard was screaming and then everyone, literally EVERYONE began to run. The staff ran, the police ran, and the people there ran. She said that they were hurdled into trailers and people were screaming trying to get in to them, but they were full and they couldn't find anywhere to go. She mentioned that the people out there thought a Tornado was coming right for them, but that wasn't what was happening. It was just dangerous winds and HUGE lightening streaks in the sky. Amanda said it felt like the end of the world at the time. She then said that after that they had to get out of the trailer and book it to the coliseum {big building next to the track}. She said they waited there for about an hour when all the lights had shut down and then they went back to their car saying that it was pouring down rain all night from there and that there was a flood of ambulances coming through.
{I'm trembling right now remembering all the details.} Then we saw the news: www.billboard.com/news/five-confirmed-dead-in-sugarland-stage-collapse-1005316022.story#/news/five-confirmed-dead-in-sugarland-stage-collapse-1005316022.story
Watch this video ^^^^^^^^^^^^
There were 5 deaths and over 40 injuries it said on the news.
Please, whatever you can do: hope, wish, pray, dream, anything for the families at the state fair because I would do the same for you and this has ripped out the hearts of us who live in Indiana. I ask you to do this for me because it's horrible.
