NAME// Titianfoot (pronounced TISH-ahn foot) AGE// 27 moons GENDER// she-cat CLAN// CelestialClan DESIRED POSITION// warrior, soon to be deputy SHORT DESCRIPTION// A slender flame point she-cat with startling blue eyes.
DESCRIPTION// Build Titianfoot is a long, slender she-cat - very lithe and agile in all her movements. Her unusually long legs aid her in her grace rather than diminish it like they once did. As an apprentice, her long legs often hindered her ability to hunt, constantly tripping over her own feet. Now, with the aid of her very long tail, she has learned to master the strong stilts. Her torso is built similar to that of a cheetah with long lean muscles and a stomach tucked up in racing condition. This gives her the ability to exert bursts of speed and use agility to achieve her goals, whether that be confusing and opponent or chasing after a bit of pray.
Pelt Her pelt is neither long nor short, but just the right length in her opinion. In fact, Titianfoot takes quite a bit of pride in her pelt. There is no feathering in her fur, no plume of a tail or fluff in her chest, but she prefers it that way. With it's shorter length, she doesn't have to worry about it snagging on branches or tangling, but it can also look relatively nice. Most of her body is a creamy and pale orange - nearly white. Her tail is a darker form of red and orange, as well as her legs and her face. It's in these small areas that she shows hints of tabby markings. There are darker red stripes that claw across her legs and the classic "M" rosary on her face, along with the eye strips. Her tail is covered in darker red rings to accompany the orange beneath.
Details Her eyes are quite startling in color. They run a rich and shocking blue, glittering like precious gems set deep into her head. They are set far enough apart to have excellent peripheral vision, but also to be able to see very clearly in front of her. When it comes to her nose, it's shaped just like any other nose and is average in size. It's color is a faint peach-y pink color, but the unique thing is the freckles. There are small but very noticeable black freckles that speckle her nose in a way that she absolutely detests. Unfortunately, there is nothing she can do about what she sees as the most blaring blemish on her, and she is forced to bare these positively humiliating freckles. PERSONALITY// Witty&Spry While Titianfoot can be quite friendly and fun-loving, she can also be quite clever. She likes to poke fun with others all in good nature, to start up playful banter with her Clanmates. She's very lively and not afraid to approach someone in a bad mood, and she will not treat those who are in a bad mood any differently than if they were in a good one. She can come off as annoying or abrasive sometimes, but she's got good intentions at heart. She'll always have some kind of witty comment up her sleeve when the situation calls, and even knows how to stay serious while making sarcastic remarks. She often can't resist trying to lighten a mood, even during a crisis. Her liveliness can be infectious sometimes, and she's known for being an inspiration during hard times - a beacon of light to follow in the fog.
Fighter&Intelligent: While she can come off as just a naive she-cat to some, she just the opposite of that. Titianfoot is capable of nearly any form of negotiation and is extremely strategic. When she's angered and feels she needs to pick a fight, there's no stopping her. Thankfully, she isn't a thoughtless fighter - she can think through battle moves and tactics. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for her ability to decide when not to pick a fight. If she were issued a challenge from another Clanner, she'd accept it in a heartbeat. If she saw that another Clanner was picking on one of her own Clanmates, she wouldn't even think about it - they've just declared battle with her. It is hoped that one day she will learn how and when to pick a fight, and when it is best to just let a sleeping dog lie.
Proud&Ambitious Titianfoot hates to lower her head for anyone. While she has much respect for others, she will only give it where it's due. She hates to be seen as lower than someone else, and if she doesn't achieve something she will never stop trying until it's done. Even if she knows she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone else, she often feels she has to prove her worth to herself. She remembers what she was like as an apprentice and will do anything to never become that way again. She wants to be the best warrior she can be and hates the thought of never having the respect of the Clan. She's very insecure about this and doesn't realize that she already has the respect of many of her Clanmates - though she would never ever admit this insecurity to anyone. She displays herself as strong, a she-cat that can take anything that comes her way. She refuses to admit weakness and sometimes drives herself too far when she tries to prove something to herself. What she hasn't realized is that perhaps it's not the respect of the Clan she's trying to gain - but respect for herself.
Loyal&Driven Titianfoot would do anything for her Clan. Anything. In her whole life, she has never loved anything more than CelestialClan, and never will love anything more. An attack on any Clanmate, whether she get along with them or not, is catamount to a direct attack on her. She is fiercely loyal and would never betray her Clan for anything. If she had to break the code to keep her Clan safe, she'd do it in a heartbeat. As an apprentice, she was quite selfish and bratty, never thinking of anyone but herself, but no more. Her world now revolves around CelestialClan, and she wouldn't have it any other way. She is driven to serve her Clan until the day she dies, and would never consider serving as an elder no matter how old she gets. Her heart beats for CelestialClan and will stay up at all hours of the night to help take care of it.
Passionate&Fearless There are some that would consider Titianfoot fearless. This, of course, is false. She gets afraid just as any other cat would, perhaps more so. The difference between her and other cats is that fear is was drives her to act. The fear of what the consequences could be if she didn't do something is what drives her, the fear that her Clan could fall, that something terrible could happen is what inspires her to do the many great acts she has been known to do. She can be reckless sometimes, but she's so far been lucky that she's not been in too much trouble. She acts on her heart over her head and follows her gut instinct. Sometimes her superiors can get frustrated with her for her brash actions that could have cost them dearly, but she hasn't gone wrong - yet. It's only a matter of time before she'll have to make a difficult choice between her heart and her head. She is very passionate in her ways - one indicator that her heart rules her - and will be fierce in her beliefs. She will fight with tooth and nail for what she believes in and to defend her Clan and herself. Because of this, she can have a hard time admitting when she's wrong. Hopefully, wisdom will come to her over time.
Flirtatious&Friendly Titianfoot loves to be friendly. She likes to have cats she can pal around with and have fun with. She enjoys having a good time and joking around - especially with toms. She doesn't purposefully flirt with them, but her very forward friendliness towards them can come off as such. She gets along best with toms, finding herself to be more carefree around them. There have been times where's she consciously flirt with a tom, feeling a certain amount of chemistry with them, but it's never turned into anything serious. Titian isn't averse to the idea of love, she just never fallen in love. Though if she were to gain a high position, she most likely wouldn't eve think of it. It'd slip her mind. One can only hope that some dashing tom doesn't catch her off guard. She finds comfort in making friends, especially those older than her. She gets along well with the older crowd and enjoys their company more than she would those of her own age. Despite how young she is, she acts more like a 40-moon-old warrior than a 27-moon-old warrior. EXPERIENCE// Kithood Here I Am (movie edit) - Bryan Adams
This little she-kit was born unto a world of despair from the start. Her mother, Brackenfur, and her father, Badgernose, were devistated when six out of the seven kits they were expecting died upon birth. The one bright light was the only surviving she-cat of litter whom they decided to call Titiankit, for the titian-colored face, legs, and tail she had. She was unaware of the fact that that she'd lost six family members that day, and would never be mare aware of this. It was for the best. Brackenfur and Badgernose loved her as if she was all there was in the world to love, all that was good and wonderful was in her for all they cared. Titiankit thrived under the doting love and care from her mother and father. Rather than being unhealthy and sickly like the medicine cat so somberly predicted, she was the one bright light in that nursery.
Titiankit had been born during a sorrowful time in CelestialClan, with litters unable to live and thrive like normal. She was alive, though, and healthy. Her young heart beat true and strong as she played throughout the camp, always asking questions with her wide blue eyes and bouncing after warriors to try and convince them to teach her something new. She was spoiled rotten, in fact. Being one of the only kits in camp, everyone doted on her and loved her. She got attention from nearly everyone, even the leader. She found herself constantly looking for new ways to impress her superiors, always finding a way to make her mother and father proud of her. It soon became a near obsession. By the time she was five moons old, she was always trying to best the one or two younger kits in the nursery, trying to prove that she could be better than anyone else her age or younger. She liked having the attention her, and she liked being better. By the time she was six moons old, she was a world-class brat.
Apprenticeship Popular by The Veronicas
Her apprentice ceremony soon arrived, much her mother and father's joy, and she received the name Titianpaw. As soon as she was assigned to a mentor, she immediately began to race to be the best warrior she could possibly be, but for all the wrong reasons. Every apprentice wanted to be the best warrior there was, right? To serve their Clan and protect them at all costs. Titianfoot wanted this too. Accept it wasn't because she loved her Clan, but because just wanted to be the best. It got to the point that in sparring matches during training, she'd play dirty. Her mentor would chastise her and stress how she should always fight fair, in which she would retort something like "Why should I fight fair? Isn't the whole point to win?".
She was soon known for being was some would call "popular". Everyone loved to hate her and hated to love her. She was the best in the worst sense of the term. She would always get what she wanted, no matter who stood in her way. She'd stoop to the lowest levels to make sure she could keep her throne at the top. Apprentices her age feared and hated her, warriors above her saw her as a brat but didn't dare say anything. Unfortunately, her mother and father didn't see the problems in her behavior. her father spoiled her and protected her to no end, challenging anyone who spoke a word against his only surviving baby girl. Her mother was the same way. She was spoiled and she knew it, and she used it to her advantage.
Then tragedy struck.
Late Apprenticeship Sound The Bugle by Bryan Adams
She was out performing her final assessment when everything changed for her. She'd collected more pray than she ever had before, and she was so proud of herself. Surely she'd be made a warrior after this - she was old enough for it. She positively having a ball, grinning the whole time. It was as if the prey was just leaping into her paws it was so easy. She pretended as if she wasn't aware that her mentor was watching her, but she still added a bit of flare to each catch she made. To her surprise, her mentor leaped out from the bush. She sprung to her paws, immediately thinking this was a test of her defense abilities, but his pelt was bristled and the scent of fear hung heavy in the air. She asked what was wrong, but he just told her to come quickly before he raced off through the trees again. Afraid herself, she rushed after him. He lead her towards the lush forest of CelestialClan, and the closer they got the more she could smell fear and the more voices she could hear shouting.
Titianpaw arrived on a terrible scene. Her Clanmates were all over the place, and they all looked terrified. Accompanying the scent of fear, there was the sharp and distinct smell of a badger. There was none in sight, so she assumed it had already been run off. The real sight was all the cats digging frantically at a loose area of dry dirt. She managed to slow one of the warriors down long enough to figure out what happened. A patrol of senior warriors was sent out to inspect a badger set that smelled fresh. Three of the warriors were sent into the set while the other two scouted out the area. The set collapsed, trapping the three warriors inside - including both her mother and father. They managed to chase off the badger that came back to inspect it's home, but they were still trying to reach her parents and the third warrior that was trapped inside. It was hours before there was any progress made. Despite her mentor insisting she come back to camp for sleep, the leader told her she could stay. And stay she did. She paced without pause, panic instilled deep within her. It was when cheers rose up that she finally was able to pause and see the results. The third warrior - Stoneclaw - had been pulled from the rubble and he was still breathing. Ten minutes later, her parents were pulled from the dirt.
But they were not breathing.
Young Warrior Top of the World by the Dixie Chicks
From that day, she was a changed she-cat. She completed her training listlessly and quietly, not interacting with much of anyone. Her warrior ceremony was quiet and somber. She had no mother and father to congratulate her or groom her pelt like they would have. Instead, she walked to the leader alone with her head held high a tear glittering in her eye. He gave her the name Titianfoot for her nimble speed and grace, but this didn't phase her. She nodded to the congratulations and just walked to the place of her vigil and sat without a word. It went on like this for a while - her listless way of living. She mourned alone and in silence.
She started to work more than anything, making herself busy with anything she could. She'd go on every patrol she could, clean out the fresh kill pile, change bedding - anything to keep her busy and to keep her mind off of her loneliness. She'd never realized she didn't have any friends until the death of her mother and father. She never realized that no one liked her. She never realized how terrible she was. She never realized that she needed to change. Through this process of mourning, she also began to change and to heal. She fought to make up for all of the wrong she did. She spent much time with kits and brought the queens pray. She took care of some of the apprentice's jobs and got rid of the elder's ticks. She started to regain a bit of a spark in her eye, becoming slowly happier. She began to devote herself to her Clan, finding that she truly did love CelestialClan.
Recent Not Ready to Make Nice
Titianfoot began to grow into a respected and well-liked she-cat. She gained a sense of humor and learned to be more humble. She threw herself headfirst into service for her Clan. It has become a bit of an obsession to make up for her snobby moons as an apprentice, to live in a way her parents would truly be proud of. She became friendly and helpful towards others and became an all-around top notch warrior. There are still the few who refuse to let go of the cat she used to be and pester her for it to no end. She has had difficulty controlling her temper and biting back snide remarks, but she's matured greatly and is learning to make peace rather than war. She will fight with everything she has to be the warrior she should be, rather than the warrior she used to think she had to be. Even the former deputy, now currently leader, has come to see her dramatic improvements and the natural passion she has for her Clan. Perhaps there's more than just warrior inside Titianfoot.
