The leader's brother. What a spot to be in. Of course you were respected, but at the same time, you were also disliked because of course, you were the one that had failed to become successful. Which he was successful...wasn't he? Fiddling with the log he sat on, the gray tom sighed. His claws had brushed across the top of the log many times, giving it a weather look rather than the smooth texture it should have. The bark was long gone, taken by age and the elements. He sighed, the inward feelings putting him into a quick rage. Unlike his brother, he never bottled up the feelings he felt. They were seen by the world of living things. His clan mates could tell you what he was like and should his personality be described to one of them, they could spill out his name within a heartbeat. His anger was perhaps his noticeable trait, though his clashing kit-like attitude cleared up whatever devastation he might do in his fits.
His fits. What was this one even about? Good question. More or less a who. The she-cat was one that seemed to be on his mind more than not. She was a pretty little thing. One that many toms seemed to talk about, even his brother. Though Cometstar still had some weird obsession with his older mentor whom had disappeared and was now replaced with his deputy he had just named. "What a mess he's made..." The thought spilled from his mouth and in that split second the anger the tom had built up was gone. Taking a deep breath, Nimbuschaser glanced to the skies above. The leafy branches blocked much of the sky and sun, though some could still be viewed and he cherished those little pieces as if the world was to end.
Named after the clouds above, and all things related to the sky...him and his siblings found themselves almost attached to what was above. Nimbuschaser more so than the others found himself day dreaming of the reasons why. He was the one with the imagination, and one that wasn't afraid to let his inner kit show. With a quick movement, he leaped to the nearest tree, scaling it with a few quick movements. Claws pressed into the soft wooden flesh. Moving from branch to branch with skill and agility he looked like a gray squirrel. Many cats of Celestialclan were tree dwellers and could navigate them with ease. This tree was one of the taller ones and seemed to poke itself above the tops of the others around it. Perfect.
As he broke through the branches of the trees around him, he was reaching the thinner tops of the tree he had chosen to climb. Though this branch would hold him without breaking and letting him fall to a disastrous event. Sunlight spilled over his pelt, giving him a silvery shimmer. He purred softly, closing his eyes and soaking in the moment. Live in now...forget about Cometstar. Forget about that she-cat Ivyshade. He'd forget what he could...and be happy that he was here.

{ I } VYSHADE
The silence was so unnatural. It created a tension that weighed down the air, seeming to slow down time itself. The invisible force was so heavy it threatened to crush the beautiful she-cat, her white belly fur touching the ground as her muscles stiffened. Her crouch made her perfectly flat, one paw after the other dragging her forward over dead pine needles and other debris of mother nature. The pressing force was only in her mind, but you could never tell by how perfect her stalking posture was.
Her lithe gliding figure halted, deep green eyes darting from left to right. She was following a scent trail, and until this point it had been potent. Here it faded to be so faint she wasn't sure where it picked up again. Opening her mouth, she inhaled deeply. After a few moments of tasting the air even her excellent tracking abilities failed to locate the direction the prey had taken. Hm... Ivyshade was at a fork, able to choose a forest of unfurling bracken or the roots of a fallen tree.
Her mind worked tirelessly, putting itself in the place of the rabbit. Yes, the prey she was after was indeed a rabbit. It was so unusual to find one in this slanted territory she had no choice but to pursue it. If she could bring it back to camp it would be the best catch Celestialclan had seen in a while. The she-cat would probably give it to Fatesong - the two were becoming fast friends and the queen had three hungry kits to feed.
Shaking her head, she recollected her thoughts. The bracken would not only provide shelter but food. The tree roots shelter, but not much else. The logical path to take was the bracken. Inhaling one last time, another scent caught her attention.
Cat.
Ivyshade hesitated, putting a face to the musky smell. Cometstar's brother....Nimbuschaser! The two's scents were similar, though they were kin after all. She could picture his bright green eyes and silver tabby pelt in her head. Her own dark green eyes looked upon the sea of lush green ferns where her glorious catch hid. If she waited any longer she would lose it. The idea of sinking her fangs into it's short tan fur was appealing, but so was the chance to have a conversation with Nimbuschaser. She sighed heavily.
Standing straight her white paws veered her off the original scent trail and into the tom's. Her ears were perked high over her split, angular face. She didn't see anything as she scanned the undergrowth, but the smell was fresh. Maybe he wouldn't want me to bother him... The huntress thought, unsure of herself as always. They hadn't talked an incredible amount, but the pretty calico liked him well enough all the same. Out here in the peaceful forest things could get lonely, most of the time that was precisely why cats of their clan came here. To be alone. But Ivyshade didn't want to be alone, not right now. She found herself wanting to be with the tom she was searching for.
Her colorful tail lashed in frustration as she came to another dead end by the base of a tall tree. "Get it together!" She snapped quietly at herself, unused to being so blind with her senses. Little did she know he was high above her, soaking up the sunlight that barely managed to dapple the earth below her unsheathed paws.
