DESCRIPTION//

with eyes that draw you in, a dappled pelt that makes mouths drop in awe, and his large but slender frame, elkstep likes to think that he is a bit of a heartthrob. not all cats can agree with him, but some must admit that he is a rather attractive looking feline. starting with the tips of his ears you can see that colours already begin meshing with one another, fighting for dominance. black, of course, is the winner of said battle and easily overtakes the light amount of orange that just barely has hold of the sides of his ears. white tuffs of hair start on the inside corner before flowing out in jagged directions. they stop short at a few centimeters, but it seems as if they are just dying to let it all out and grow forever.

the battle for dominance rages on once more on the top of his head, two colours meshing beautifully. on the right side of his head there is clearly more orange then anything else, but go on the left side and it turns into black. the black doesn't go back very far onto his back, only a small-sized dot behind his ear while orange stretches on for a good distance. there is, however, another dot of black very close to the first one on the opposite side of his back. as the two colours dance another opponent shows up to give it a whirl; white. it overtakes a good half of her back for a little while before black makes a turn around and steals the spotlight once more. after that, white only appears two more times on his body; on his leg and his face. a tale for another day. orange can be found in tiny splatters mixed in with the black, but soon fades away.

his tail is a peculiar thing, that one. it seems to move on his own, often confusing those who are trying to read his body language. it almost permanently stays curled up unless he's actively thinking about it. ignoring the fact that it has a life of it's own, let us begin explaining it, no? as elkstep lays down it curls up to his body, reaching his head easily. black and orange both have a pretty good hold on it, but orange has just a bit more with those random few strands that were dyed red.

his face is rather attractive for a feline. it would be completely round of it weren't for the two triangles smacked onto the top of his head, or the tiny mound where his nose lay. if it weren't for the tiny dots of orange on his face, it might look like he was wearing some sort of mask, as black covers his entire face, stopping in a skeleton-manner by his nose. underneath that skeleton is pure white that extends down to his underbelly. his "eye whiskers" are long and spontaneous. his actual whiskers are just as long, but they always frame his face somehow. whether or not it perfectly curls up into him or it creates a circle beneath his chin.

a large cat should have large paws, no? that's exactly the deal with elkstep. a tad ironic, considering both the fact that elk have large feet, and that he walks with such grace and light footing. his pads are nothing special, just a light pink.

now his eyes are a deal-maker. perfectly round orbs make their home directly in the middle of this young lad's face. his eyes are a brilliant shade of green that dances with a bit of amber at the edges, slowly turning yellow, and then fading into the green he's known for. unlike most cats his eyes are not easily read, shielding his emotion efficiently. the only time you'll see anything other than boredom in his eyes are when he is feeling a strong emotion that overpowers his will. this does not happen likely though, so if you're on the lookout you will be disappointed.

PERSONALITY//

something you'll realize quickly about this tomcat is that he's very friendly and will gladly stop to chat with you. if he isn't too busy, that is. elkstep is a talkative tomcat, so if you start a conversation with him it will probably take a bit for it to end, none of those five minute talks, nope. he stretches his conversations out for hours, oblivious to the other cat if they're getting a bit annoyed with him. in addition to this he gets upset easily if you try and shut him up. most likely he'll paint on another smile, but he'll be yearning to finish that conversation again.

elkstep is an awful liar; he really can't tell a lie. it's like some witch cursed him with painful honesty. he can't even tell those tiny white lies you say to make someone feel happy. if he knows your mate is cheating on you he'll probably tell you if you ask. this doesn't mean he can't keep a secret, but it does make it a bit harder for him. unless you've known him long enough i wouldn't trust him with a secret that could potentially destroy a relationship. if it's idle gossip go ahead, he eats that up. it's amusing to him.

it could be raining fire and the earth could be opening up, swallowing kitties, and yet elkstep would still try to find the good in the situation. no matter the problem this tomcat is faced with he tries to see the good in it. bad day? tomorrow will be better. death in the clan? one cat passes, four kits are born. sure, his happy outlook on life might be a tad annoying for some people, but it helps him deal with all the bad in the world, and the darkness that lurks in some hearts.

elkstep couldn't care less whether or not you liked him. in fact, he couldn't care what you thought of him. he knows who he is, and that's all he really cares about. if you question his loyalty, then you'll probably end up missing a tail the next day. he is a die-hard loyal cat to vertigoclan. he is, of course, a nice respectful cat. he won't speak out of order unless you really rile up his emotions.

he seems like a pretty cool cat, right? his main flaw is his memory and the way he thinks. he's almost like a malkavian without the crazy word-phrasing. side note: he may end up talking like one if i can get their speech down. i hope i can, those dudes are cray-cray. but his mind sometimes breaks, and he often forgets what he was doing, or who he even is.
