NAME// --- honeyfang. named for her orange fur and sharp tongue. AGE// --- thirty-seven moons. GENDER// --- female. CLAN// --- zephyr. DESIRED POSITION// --- deputy. SHORT DESCRIPTION// --- a red tabby she-cat with green eyes.
DESCRIPTION// ah, once again we are greeted with brilliant green eyes that shimmer with an intense glow. it's almost as if they are trying to peer into your soul, trying to learn all of your secrets before even you discover them. such an intensity is rare on this she-cat's body, as she isn't jaw-droppingly beautiful, but she isn't horribly ugly. rather, she is quite the average-joe, easily blending into the sea of felines in her clan. starting from the tips of her ear and almost all around her body is the brilliant colour of orange, easily overtaking any other colour in the battle of dominance. if you look straight on at her, you are unable to see the tiny tuffs of white fur that flow out of the inside of her ear, but turn to the side - even just slightly - and they become visible. fairly short, but they do help prevent bugs and bacteria from getting into her system.
dark orange stripes make her relateable to a family member of hers, the tiger. of course many cats have this, but she likes to think that her stripes are the most unique in the clan, almost vein-like as they crisscross all over her body, connecting in the most odd of ways. she has large circles made from these stripes on the right side of her body, looking both like an eye and partly like a walking stick.
moving down the line we'll get to her tail, a rather fluffy thing if i do say so myself. have you ever seen tigger? then you already have a pretty good idea of what her tail looks like, just make sure to replace the black with the orange. the colour is dulled in-between the rings, almost as if the sun burned it out. get just a bit closer to the tip of her tale and you can see part of her tale fade into white, but only in one place. it lasts an entire section before it turns orange again.
speaking of white, that is what her entire chest, a small part of her face, and paws are. orange didn't win this fight, sadly. her paws have been dipped lightly in snow, forever stained. it goes no further than her paws, really, but only on her front two, as if she were testing the waters. now, moving onto her face. someone must have draped the orange coating just over her eyes, splitting down the middle and flowing to her cheeks. her nose isn't anything special really, just a harsh pink dot.
finally we have her body build. as an apprentice she was a bit chubby and she worked hard to shed those extra pounds. that has become apparent, her muscles ripple as she walks by, but she still has a bit of baby fat she can't seem to shed. she's a bit bigger than most she-cats and she uses this to her advantage in battles, and sometimes she likes to sit on her friends to bug them. her paws are a bit large for her body, but she makes it work for her. PERSONALITY// honeyfang isn't the type of she-cat to whine about her life to you. in fact, if she's going through tough times she'll keep it to herself with no explanation for her bad mood. some cats just go with it, other cats are mean right back, which upsets her further. some cats are amazed that she has friends at all because of her terrible "mood swings". she just doesn't see the point in complaining about things that cannot be changed, so she doesn't. that doesn't mean she doesn't trust other cats, no. she places great faith in her clanmates, but getting her to crack a secret or get a peek inside her brain? you must be crazy to try that. maybe if she loved you.
once she sets her mind to something she gets on it and will not be tamed. stubborn as a rock this one is. she needs to hunt? watch her try and take down the entire territory. she's in a fight? she won't stop until someone stops breathing. you're making her mad? she'll act like a huge bitch until you leave her alone. being blunt is the thing she might be best known for. she was never one to sugarcoat things, even as a kit. when her sister was close to death she simply stated the fact, angering her parents. "you'll probably die, that's a deep cut. they might be able to save you though, probably not." that wasn't the best thing to say, but she will not lie to people.
so she's closed off and blunt. she does have good morals and will always do the right thing though. if she sees someone bleeding to death on another territory, then she'll try and save them. who cares if they're from another clan, she doesn't want to see them die for no reason. to her any death can be avoided. she doesn't like to see a life - no matter who they are - wasted.
some cats prefer to stay enveloped in a large group of friends. honeyfang is the opposite. she prefers to stay alone, but she does like to be with her friends as well. speaking of friends, they can be hard to come by for her. not everyone likes her blunt honesty and crazy mood swings.
you have no need to worry about her not keeping your secrets, for she is a very trustworthy feline. if you wish it, she will hold the secret to her heart, never spilling a word. she has no need for idle gossip, why would she? she's had plenty of gossip talked about her her entire life, but she knows what's right and that's what matters to her.
love is an odd concept to her. she used to fantasize about falling in love with a strong tomcat that could match her in battle, but those days have passed. she's content in watching others fall in love and have kits. she was never one to dream abut having her own kin, though. her sister's kits are good enough for her. since her sister barely looks after them, she's taken on a motherly role with them, causing her personality to become a bit softer. EXPERIENCE// ...meh. if everyone really wants to know i'll write it out. OTHER// sample (not re-coding it, lol):
all day long earthfang had been trying to get frostglade to play with her. it would be fun! just for old times sake. the gray tabby snorted in annoyance, almost offended. her playing days were long over, ever since her best friend decided to leave. after that... she hadn't been the same playful she-cat she used to be, she took everything in with an extra amount of seriousness. it didn't help that fireclaw decided it would be the best thing in the world to start attacking her again, picking and prodding on what made her vulnerable. with a huff she walked out of the camp. she drunk in the sights and sounds of her home, amazed that anyone could hate it. the sun was hot against her fur, but she welcomed the heat.
on any other day she might have considered just letting go and having fun for once. starclan knew how much she needed it, but something in the back of her mind taunted her, telling her how she needed to forget it. otterpaw did, now he was gone. frostglade hissed in annoyance. "wonderful." she spat. "now i'm hearing things. i should have just left with otterpaw, life would have been so much more simple." she didn't mean the words, she was just upset. nothing could make her leave shimmerclan; it was her home. she loved everyone in it. save for fireclaw.
suddenly a flash of brown crossed her vision. a sparrow. frostglade smiled. this was just what she needed. if she caught it she could feed an elder or a kit, she'd be needed again. she'd feel needed again. frostglade had no idea where this sudden wave of self-pity came from; she never felt like that. the frost was almost afraid she had been taken over by some strange creature; maybe a starclan cat was torturing her from above, making her feel things she shouldn't.
"shut up frostglade." she murmured, shifting her attention back onto the bird. frostglade carefully watched the bird, creeping closer and closer. it was nibbling on the soil, probably looking for some easy scraps. it never saw her coming as she pounced on it, ending it's fear with a swift bite to the neck. feeling smug, the she-cat turned around, ready to go back to camp. "thanks, starclan."
something else caught her attention though; a large splash of water. after she buried the bird she opened her ears, waiting for any further noise. once it came back up she started creeping closer and closer until... she saw her leader, badgerstar, playing in the water? frostglade sat there in amusement, watching him.
"are you having fun, badgerstar?" she purred, keeping her laughs to herself. [/blockquote][/justify]
