[ x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x ] she laid in the camp trying to absorb sun into her fluffy white coat with a mouse between her paws she enjoyed the flavor of the tasty food while she ate. she glanced around the camp. she watched kits play with each other and apprentices practicing. her gorgeous blue eyes flickered towards the entrance of the camp to watch warriors come and go. mostly when they were on patrols or they had to train their apprentices or just to get out of the campsite and just walk around a bit. she took in the scents of celestialclan as she finished off the mouse. she remained laying as she inhaled the scents of celestialclan while watching over all the activity of the clan.
she'd been a member of celestialclan for a couple moons now. yet she still hadn't fully blended in to becoming a celestialclan cat. she knew she didn't really fit in. she had an iceclan personality. which in these forests would probably equal to a zephryclan cat and her pelt was fluffy white not 'flashy' she was a solid color. her fluffy coat matched more to vertigoclan cats. but she had stumbled upon celestialclan first and she had no knowledge of the clans in these forests. she often wondered if she should leave celestialclan and join either vertigoclan or zephryclan, a clan that she fit more into. but she could never tear herself away from celestialclan. all the cats had been kind to her over all. she was accepted in fairly easy. she didn't feel like any one had any defiance against her being a celestialclan cat. she also enjoyed the leader, cometstar. he seemed like a good leader. she didn't know much about the deputy but she was curious about titanfoot. she'd heard a few things here and there about titanfoot but whitedust tried her best to wait to give a final judgement when she actually met titanfoot. she trusted her leader's judgement and if it was wrong, then it'd show. whitedust herself had wanted to be deputy. she'd been wanting to be one since early apprentice hood. she had hoped to be deputy of iceclan. but then that dream had been shattered when iceclan was destroyed. she knew that she had a low chance due to the fact she came into the clan not too long ago and the leader had probably already had a deputy in his mind. but whitedust always tried to keep her head up and have hope.
she often would think about iceclan. how it differed from celestialclan and if this was how things should be and if they could be different. she often wondered why she was here and why starclan allowed the prey to run dry in iceclan. she often pondered if her clan had done anything to upset startclan. but nothing came to mind. she knew she needed to meet some new cats. to get to know others and try to find celestialclan more like a home. she knew once she got to know at least one cat she would start to feel a tad closer to the clan which would hopefully grow to her being able to live in celestialclan without the constant thoughts about how it differed form iceclan and comparing every little thing.
her blue orbs flashed quickly over the camp trying to find a cat she could talk to. her mind fluttered through a list of who was in the clan trying to remember everyone's name. she hadn't been one to talk a lot when she first arrived. she did what she was told and would make small talk but other than that she didn't talk much. she'd hope to see either cometstar or titanfoot so she could, hopefully, get to know them better due to the fact they were her leader and deputy and a cat should know who is above them. so her eyes constantly flashed to the leaders den hoping cometstar would come out if he was hidden inside. she didn't want to barge in and make conversation just in case he was busy and didn't have time and same with titanfoot. they are the leader and deputy meaning they have the whole clan to watch over which probably didnt allow them as much free time as whitedust had.

Fawndance Is There anything I can do for you dear?
It was a good day to be outside. A sunny day, drier than most and not a cloud in the sky. Not too hot nor to cold. Perfect for hunting. Or simply taking a stroll through the territory. Or -even better- basking in the sun; just drowsing and enjoying the peace of the day. Certainly not the sort of day to waste away by working too hard and stressing over small things that could be easily remedied. Certainly not the sort of day to be lurking in the shadows like some sort of creature of the night. So then why, for Starclan's sake, was she inside of a cave taking stock of herbs?
It was a tedious task that needed to be done eventually, but did eventually have to be this very moment in time? Brilliant green eyes kept wandering away from the various leaves and roots to the sliver of light at the entrance of her den. Sounds of play and various clan activities drifted enticingly through the opening; it all called to her to leave what she was doing and simply do nothing for a little while. Find someone to chat with, surely someone out there wouldn't mind talking with even an old medicine cat like her. How many good moons did she have left anyways -before she was so stiff she rarely left the camp? Twelve, maybe? Not a particularly happy prospect. And yet here she was, just counting plants like there was no tomorrow. Most of the herbs were old and winter worn anyways, they'd need replacement soon enough. 'Why bother counting them, then, if they'll all be thrown out anyways?'
Childish thoughts, really. But the little voice whispering said rationale to her, combined with the already disillusioned outlook on the task with such a beautiful day out was too much. With a swish of her tail Fawndance turned and swept out of the den before she could argue more with herself. 'Better things to do, better places to be,' the feline thought as her gaze raked across the camp. Her eyes lingered momentarily on the dug out den of the nursery. She still needed to stop by and visit Fatesong. Check out the kits; there'd been a particularly frail looking one that the she-cat wanted to take a closer look at. Placing reddish paws forward in quick succession the she-cat started towards the queens' den, only to come to a halt as she spotted a solitary figure laying not far from the fresh-kill pile. The older cat recognized her on sight, there was only one warrior in the clan with an all-white pelt after all.
A guilty thought flitted through Fawndance's mind as she watched the she-cat. In the moons since the strange warrior had arrived on Celestialclan grounds the medicine cat had more or less failed to even make an attempt to socialize with her. Some part of her mind pitied Whitedust, the poor she-cat must feel so isolated from the rest of the clan. Grown up in a different clan and different not only in blood but also appearance; like some cruel joke. And here Fawndance was padding off to visit a still-stranger who already seemed well established when it came to companions. The idea nagged ad gnawed and tugged at her conscience, finally the she-cat made a course correction and headed towards the dining cat.
Closing the distance between the two of them, the medicine cat waved her tail in greeting whilst thinking of what to say. Rather frustrating, nothing came to mind readily and all too soon there were mere mouse-lengths between the two. She let an easy smile lift her face as she sought furiously for some opening words. 'Of all the times to blank out...' Head turned upward for a moment at the sound of a bird idiot enough to nest near the camp taking flight in alarm, and her eyes glanced at the sky. Thought turned to word and flew from her mouth before the she-cat could truly register just what was going on. "It's a really nice day, today, don't you think?" Well, it was better than standing there like a mute the medicine cat supposed after she spoke.

[ x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x ] her mind was off in its own word of iceclan missing the permafrost and the freezing waters that barely made her feel cold due to her nice dense white coat and how she could easily lay and blend with the snow. she missed how she didnt feel so different. she was the only cat in the clan with a solid white pelt. that and hers was fluffy were most of the cats in the clan seemed to have short hair and more of a color variety. she snapped out of her world glancing around. her eyes catching on a she-cat heading in her direction. her mind quickly darted through name till the name 'fawndance' came to mind. after the name came shortly did a short bio of the cat remembering her as the medicine cat. whitedust knew little cats but she did make sure to know the names of at least the cats of high stature.
when the medicine cat spoke whitedust made sure to dip her head in respect towards the she-cat. whitedust sat up and smiled as she said shaking her fur briefly, "i agree. its a beautiful day to sunbathe and just relax. how are you today, fawndance?"

Fawndance Is there anything I can do for you, dear?
The long-furred warrior lying before her wasn't mentally there, it seemed. Fawndance could see it with ease now that the two cats were nearer to each other. The deep blue orbs of the she-cat's eyes were glossed over, staring vaguely into space with sights playing out visible only to her. Wistful memories, perhaps? Maybe thoughts on what the future held for Whitedust among the clans? Fawndance was no mind reader, although the medicine cat did her best to work out what was on another cat's mind. At times that was the only way she could treat a patient, if there was more than just a physical wound to heal. Whitedust was neither a patient nor a close friend -at least not yet- but the sorrel feline could still make some assumptions as to what weighed on her mind.
A blue gaze snapped back into focus as Fawndance approached and spoke. Wrenched away from idle thoughts, the warrior was quick to sit up and greet the older she-cat. A small smile lifted on the medicine cat's maw at the other's greeting. 'Sincere even when not the most joyous cat around, she thought while dipping her head in return. "I'm doing well enough. No sickness, few wounds beyond the occasional reckless apprentice..." a purr rattled lightly in her throat before she continued. "Overall I think there's nothing I can moan and groan over." The she-cat twisted her head slightly, and was about to return the white cat's inquiry when another option raised its head.
A momentary debate reigned in the older feline's head as she thought about the second option. It might be too forward, but it also might be just what the healer ordered. 'What's the worst that could happen? She brushes off the question and you both move on at worst.' As quick as it came the inner argument was gone, and the she-cat blinked once to clear her head. Just be out with it. "Mouse-tail for your thoughts?"
ooc. Couldn't think of an already made feline alternative to "penny for your thoughts".
