Etherflight is quiet. She will rarely join conversations, and certainly doesn't start them. If she is asked a direct question, she will frown and think carefully before finally giving her one-word answer. She isn't slow, unfriendly, or even shy. She simply sees words as potent things. Words wound, they heal, they build, they destroy. Often the speaker has no control over the consequences once thoughtless sentence leave their lips. In short, they are far too powerful to release without due caution.
Caution seems to be the ruling factor in Etherflight's life. She is forever treading carefully, as if she believes that the world will shatter if she places too much weight on it. She deliberates carefully before making a move, considering every possible outcome, and then will fret over any possibility she may have made the wrong decision. She occasionally feels frustrated with her clan-mates for not taking the same measures, but does her best to clean up their messes.
Etherflight likes to intervene. She likes it a lot. It gives her a thrill of satisfaction to see a misunderstanding or disagreement cleared up and the parties involved on friendly terms again. She loathes conflict, and melodramatics make her feel out of place. In her eyes, negative emotions are horrible little beasts that should never be allowed to run about. Needless to say, she is careful enough to keep her own out of sight.
Etherflight is a kind she-cat at heart. She would never intentionally hurt anyone, and loves her clan dearly. Sadly, she is not ideal for close friendships. Her slow answers can make her appear either dim-witted, or uncooperative. The thought of making an unforgivable mistake is so crippling, it is hard for her to function normally independent of any directions. Finally, she is actually proud of her self-control and repressed nature, and feels resentful of anyone who would try to change it. The fact is she's not exactly happy, but she's comfortable, and isn't sure she would be any other way.
