Leave me to die. I made myself fall...... [/i] Hearing those words, Stormwind froze for a few moments, horror filling the green eyes she posessed. He tried to do this horrific thing to himself? Tried to kill himself? It was so wrong! She couldn't believe it! But she had to. No cat would lie about this, right?! Leaning close to Darkfog as she lightly pressed the marigold into his many wounds, the she-cat stared at him. He was like a stranger now. Any cat she knew, any cat of her clan, wouldn't do this. This wasn't anything she had heard of in her life. A cat trying to kill itself. Not in battle or saving someone. In a cowardly way that was void of any honor. For a moment she stared at him in disgust. But then the expression lifted. Maybe...maybe there was something more to the cat than she had realized. "I'm not just going to let you die Darkfog. I can't live with myself if I did. My job is to do my best to save cats, and you, much as you might dislike it, are under my care." She said, treating the wounds quickly.

Her ears had heard that scream. That sharp, sharp scream. It sounded of that of a tom in great distress. The sounds of pain were everywhere. First in camp, and now in the territory. The place where she though she had been safe, but oh, how she was so wrong. She raced towards the source of the scream. Lilythorn stopped suddenly as she caught the scent that was familiar to her. It chilled her blood, and it had found her extremely off guard. MaliceClan. Or were they even called that anymore? Hadn't Serenewinter mentioned something about a new name, or had she just imagined it? Then she remembered her last encounter with a cat born into that ruthless and bloodthirsty Clan. He had told her that it was Delirium now. The deputy opened her mouth and scented the air once more. It was a tiny bit stale, but they had been there. She made a mental note that the scent went off into the direction of ZephyrClan, and then she carefully put herself back on track to find the source of the screech. She stumbled as the undergrowth thinned out and the rocks began to be more plentiful. She saw a crumpled body, and instantly recognized Darkfog. Oh no. She noticed Stormwind was there, and she nimbly hopped down and walked over to them. "Are you crazy?! You have a mate and your kits to look after! You can't just go off and do this to yourself! Even if you had good reason to. You are staying with Abyssbird, and you will take care of her and those kittens." the hiss came out low and through her teeth, and she tried to make it so the majority of it remained unheard by the other she-cat. Her piercing blue eyes were staring down at him, a mixture of fear, anguish, and pure anger in her gaze.

Suddenly the world seemed to spin. Darkfog spotted anther cat. The words of both ringing in his ears as he tried to stay awake and to the present moment. Wait. That wasn't what he wanted to do. He wanted to fall into the deep abyss that was reaching out to him. Wanting to wrap it's cold arms around him. Taking a shuddering breath he slipped to darkness, though not death. It was just unconsciousness.

Stormwind didn't look up as the deputy approached. Normally she would give a greeting, but she was too preoccupied at the moment. The juice of the herbs leaked from her jaws as she chewed the leaves into a pulp. Memories of past uses and injuries flashed through her head, causing her to halt in the chewing momentarily. Would it be better to treat the warrior at home? No. She thought with a final nod. It was too risky. The medicine cat gently layed the leaves on his numerous wounds, remembering to press her nose to his pads every now and then. At first, he had been cold with shock. But now, from the fall and the injuries, he was growing hot. Fever. Cursing under her breath, the medicine cat gazed up at Lilythorn. "Can you help me carry him back? He needs to get home now." She said, already trying to figure out how to get Darkfog on her back without hurting him.

She watched with an firey hot, yet icey gaze. "Of course, Stormwind." she mewed in a cold tone. How could he have done such a stupid thing?! Trying to kill himself to escape his sorry excuse of a life. He was not going to leave Abyssbird. If he did..sge would kill him. It would be easy if she had to only because he would want to leave the world already. She let out a sigh, and then she looked up at the medicine cat. "How will we carry him back? We might injure him.." she murmured, and then she turned back and looked up into the direction of camp. Lilythorn's gaze lowered and she looked all around her. The rocks and stones would be a hard obstacle to overcome, but they would be able to get him back. "We must not let the others know what happened. They cannot know that he did this to himself. We will have to make him lie to protect them from being hurt. Especially young Abyssbird."

Stormwind cast her gaze over the territory, her expression troubled. Yes, it would be difficult; the rocks and slick grass were all enemies at this point. Yet she knew they could do it. They could. Switching her gaze to Lilythorn, she flicked her tail in irritation. "I am aware he might be injured if we do this. Yet we have no choice. If I can't get him to a proper den and shelter, he'll die." She meowed. At this point she gazed down at the tom. "Though that may be what he wants, it's certainly not what he's going to get if I have any say in this." She stated firmly. The medicine cat checked over Darkfog one last time before looking at the deputy again. She could see the seriousness of the cat, her tone quiet. Stormwind shook her head. She knew Lilythorn was right. "No. We can't let anyone know. We can't ever let anyone know. If Abyssbird knew....." She agreed, her last comment trailing off. She shook her head. There wasn't time for these thoughts. They had to get Darkfog home. After one last check to make sure his wounds were covered, she hauled Darkfog onto her back and, with Lilythorn's help, started home. Stormwind, Lilythorn, and Darkfog to VC camp

do you like what you see? you can change it all, it's easy.
It had felt better to be alone for awhile, even if it had been such a short time. He knew what he had done was wrong, and that his mentor and mother would both be ashamed. He had sat alone and still, and he had let the calm rush through him. The pain in his ankle was bearable if sitting. He didn't have much irritation from standing. But, walking. Oh, walking. It was what had kept him out there so long. Gingerly lifting his sprained ankle to his muzzle, he licked it self-conciously, and then set it down once more. He needed to get back to camp soon, or some cat might be sent after him. If that happened, there would be even more punishment awaiting him. His thoughts wandered to what he might have to do. Nothing too exhausting, or he might hurt his ankle even more. Perhaps they wouldn't even care. Or, there was the chance that they would not believe him. Either way, he didn't expect sympathy. He let out an sigh of pure exhausting. He hadn't even done much that day either. Green and blue eyes forming a perfect teal, they looked for something to make a splint if that was even possible. Reflectedpaw did not see anything 'splint worthy,' but he spotted a poppy plant nearby. Just what I need. he thought. He limped towards it, but he stumbled instead of keeping on his paws. It hurt, but he knew the seeds would help him. He was oblivious to the fact that they might make him droswy and perhaps sleep right on the spot. After all, he was only a measly apprentice. What did he know? He somewhat crawled and rolled towards the plant, and then collected a few seeds. He took two or three, swallowed them, and then grabbed some more for the medicine cat just as a kind gesture. He hoped that Littlepaw wouldn't mind. If he did and he spoke to Reflectedpaw about it, the warrior's apprentice might have to claw his ears off. No. That would be troublesome. He reminded himself, and then began realizing that he would eventually start a mental war with himself. He would rather fight with himself than with a clanmate and get in trouble. His eyelids became somewhat heavy as the effects of the poppy seeds started to affect him. He tried to stand up, and was rewarded with little pain. He started towards camp, and he began pondering once more about what his punishment might be.

Lavenderpaw skipped through the forest ahead of Raidianteclipse, her mind troubled. She was thinking about what Lynxstar was giong to do with ZeypherClan, and what was happening with Serenwinter andher kits. She walked along, her lilac orbs wander around the territory adn she stopped. "Raidianteclipse, are we going to train here?" she sighed heavey heartedly. [/blockquote]

Her ginger fur like fire in the assorted jade grasses, she would be easily spotted. A disadvantage that she did not like one bit. Collecting her thoughts, she let out a sigh and plodded forward into the territory. Letting her paws carry her anywhere they wanted to go, Flamingarrow didn't even notice the tall grasses and small, cube-shaped rocks end and the cliffs start. Plopping her somewhat chunky bottom down onto one of the cool, flat surfaces, she cast her gaze over and off the cliffside. "Beautiful as always." The young queen murmured, letting out a sigh as she thought of the situation that the Clans were in. It was a hard life that she was living, and she wanted to run away from it all. No. I can't be like that. I have to stay and look after my kits and Abyssbird. And her kits. Why do I have to try and protect everything? She thought, and then was surprised when she heard the obvious answer come from a back part of her mind that held the memories of when she had trained in MaliceClan. You know how to fight them off, Flamingarrow. You're not some cushy apprentice like you used to be before they took you away. [/i] Her mind chastised her. " I suppose I'm crazy, listening to voices argue in my mind." Flamingarrow murmured to herself. Strange. I feel as if I'm being watched, but why does it feel like it is a threat and not a clanmate? She let the thought slide away as her emerald lights finally landed upon the blue surface of water that was visible some distance away from VertigoClan territory. The beauty of it made her calm, if only for a moment.[/blockquote][/size]
